Pour House Austin Reviews
Great meal and friendly staff. Awesome laid back vibe with many choices of beers. I had the meatball sub and some fried mozzarella. They were both delicious! I ate the cheese before I thought of pics and I took one bite out of my sub already. 😅 oops 😬 Give it a try! I'll definitely go back when I'm in this area again. 👍
The food here was delicious and super hot! But the best part the friendly people here it was great time! I had the fried mushrooms and lemon pepper wings! Oh so good going to try the Texas ceaser next time!
Great food, excellent service. I hate that I forgot our server's name but she kept my drink full like 10 times, never let me run out The pizza is good, had a chicken parm sandwich as well that was yum. This place feels like a vibe of being in the neighborhood bar and chill spot. Like a dive but in a good way. Good beer selection, too.
I've seen this place a bunch while driving on Jollyville and decided to have dinner here with friends. So glad I did. The chicken bruschetta pizza is probably the best pizza I've ever had in my life. Service was attentive and very nice. They've got a fun selection of cocktails as well. The seating outside is such a nice atmosphere, I will DEFINITELY be returning here again!
Taylor provided the BEST service! The food was delicious and the service was even better! We got the Spock and the el supremo. Best pizza I’ve ever had! 10/10 will come again! On my momma, that was fire. W Taylor !
Just had drinks, no food. The food smelled really good though. As I waited for a first-time internet date, I was able to watch the staff. They were friendly and attentive. The bartender made me a custom mocktail which I really enjoyed. The only downside (besides the date not going well) was that the movie "40-yr old Virgin" was playing behind the bartender and that was unexpected and a little distracting.
Pour House is always great. The outside patio is nice to chill on when the weather permits. The pizza has always been great, crispy, fresh and delicious.
Great spot to hang out with friends for good pizza, beer and service. Really enjoyed it and was glad my buddy suggested it. Pour Hour is really on point for everything you’d want as a bar to hang out with friends or watch a game. Very broad beer selection of course but I thought best part was friendly service. Will be back when in area.
Really enjoyed the veggie pizza. Great service.
As a new couple to the area, we were looking for a great local business to call our watering hole for date night. TLDR: We found lovely staff, good appetizers, and some great personal pizzas. Go there. Details: The bartender/owner, Steve, was knowledgeable and smart. The server, D, was quick, personable, and attentive. We had the fried mozzarella and fried green beans. They were cooked perfectly and have great flavored sauce. We had two beers from tap they suggest and they were great. The pizzas were something we took home and reheated. They were just as good at the restaurant!
First time going, and loved everything about it! The atmosphere is very chill, and it seemed like a place frequented primarily by regulars. The server was very attentive and made great recommendations. The pizza was AMAZING and I really liked the unusual combinations (like pulled pork, pickles and creamy Tabasco). We will definitely be going back soon!
It's Dog friendly! So if you have a fur baby, bring them to enjoy your evening out with friends. The patio outside has a good amount of sturdy tables with large umbrellas to keep you cool under the shade. The pizza we ordered was flavorful, with large fresh ingredients. We ordered the Hummus alongside some wings and they promptly brought it out before the pizza. The drinks were cold and the wait staff were friendly and very helpful.
Pour House is in our neighborhood so it's an easy visit for us. Pizza is really good. Fried green beans were fantastic last night! Great beer selection. Friendly service. Lots of outdoor seating (which is why we go).
In town for a team summit, asked the hotel clerk for a recommendation and he told us if you want beer and good food try the Pour House. There were 5 of us when we first arrived. IPA's on the menu and appetizers were ordered. As the night went on our 5 grew to 10. Combining tables as our party grew was no problem. After the additional people had been there for a little while, it was time for food orders. While you won't find steak on the menu, The combination of pizza, salads and sandwiches should be enough for anyone to find something. If I'm ever in that part of Austin again I will definitely go there again.
A great place to grab a beer and some food with friends. Servers/Staff were extremely friendly - there's plenty of parking and tables inside and out. Draft beer selection is large - you'll definitely find something you like. We only ordered appetizers (fried pickles, fried mushrooms, lollipop chicken) but they were all fantastic, well-priced, and well-portioned. Definitely will be coming back to sit on the patio with a group after work.
Very surprised!! They have an excellent variety of beers on tap! We had the Buffalo wings, they were cooked perfectly!! Juicy and meaty with just the right amount of sauce!!! We also had the pizza, we are from Chicago and know a good pie, we were not disappointed in the least!! The crust was delicious! The sausage could have been spiced differently. (Didn't have that Italian zing to it) but it was still great!
One of the better places to come for pizza, beer, and a good time. The pizza is divine, with plenty of options for everyone (including gluten free crusts). They have over 20 beers on tap with consistent rotating options. This is also a great place to watch a game, with plenty of screens.
This place has a great locals vibe. I enjoy it in good weather to sit outside on the large patio. Relaxing and unique for the area. The service is excellent. Good drinks and pretty good pizza as well. Opens at 3pm.
Their pizzas are really delicious, I had the Italian Stallion and the sausage was especially good! If I had to make a complaint it would be sitting inside can get a bit loud, but it's a bar so that's expected. They have plenty of tables outside and it is a very pleasant atmosphere. I was a DD so I can't comment on their alcohol selection sorry.
Evie and Jon are the best! The food is delicious and I love the family atmosphere. They will also mix and match your pizza toppings so everyone is happy, that's a big plus.
One of our favorite pizza spots in Austin. Always good food and customer service. We love the seasonal homemade chili!
We have a group of folks that meet monthly at the Pour House for conversation and refreshments. The staff have always been very accommodating of our group of 10-15 people. Our waiter Dean makes everyone laugh and feel at home. His hospitality is amazing- he goes above and beyond to take good care of us! And I highly recommend the bruschetta!!
Our production team was having a late meeting here and the kitchen chose to stay open past their normal hours to accommodate our conference. The staff opened up a large unused area that had already been cleaned for the night for our team to use and their managers and employees were cheerful and genuine. They had gone out of their way personally to let us know that their kitchen did not mind staying open for us and that's amazing. Thank you for the love and for representing a local business in Austin, I can see why you are a successful establishment. Thank you for your care!
Very relaxed atmosphere with super friendly staff. Our bartender Steven was awesome, and suggested some tasty pasta that was perfectly cooked. They were showing Jaws on the bar screen which was such a nice change of pace from most bars that just show sporting events. Definitely coming back to try the pizzas!
My favorite place to drink a beer in the summer. They have a huge patio with a huge list of rotating beer on tap. Beer is always cold. Start out with their fried mozzarella best ones I found in town. Service is always great and friendly even in rush hour.
I love the neighborhood ambiance of Pour House! The staff are all friendly and attentive, the beer selection is great (with the staff being able to discuss each one!!), and the patio is really relaxing. If you're not into beer, that's ok because they also have a full bar!! Each week, they come up with creative ways to re-invent the pizzas they serve, and they are all delicious!! One of my favorite times to go is on the weekend, for brunch where I get the club. It's especially delicious with their bacon jam! The only thing I'm sad about is that they're not able to allow dogs on the patio per zoning, but other than that, this is definitely a place to keep coming back to!!
We really love this place, but.... they've changed their dough/crust. It use to be thin and chewy like brick oven-y and the toppings were the star. Now the dough and crust have a digiorno vibe. The pizza was just bland. It was sad because this was my favorite pizza joint in nw Austin. The patio, wings and beer are amazing. Please just go back to the old crust. Still though, this place is rad I don't mean to knock it but I know what it was. I still love you pour house don't be mad at me. Edit- just came back last night. Their pizza is back! Crust was chewy, toppings delicious. We had the best time with great service. I'm so happy
We love going here and the service is the best part.
We picked this restaurant based on other reviews. We were on our way to an event in the area and unfamiliar with restaurants nearby other than the chains. We were not disappointed. They take reservations, provide quick service (we were a group of 10 who got in and out in 1 hour) and everything was great. We had a variety of pizzas, beer and fried pickles (a family favorite). My girls can't wait to go back.
Good beer selection and reasonable prices. The pizza and salad were excellent. There's ample outdoor seating for when weather permits.
The Spicy BBQ is sooo good. I typically don’t like to eat the crust but theirs is so good you have to.
Could not be more pleased with our first visit to Pour House. It was a nice night so we sat outside and enjoyed cold draft beer and a well prepared pizza, served hot and without a long wait. The crowd was casually and friendly with most folks greeting each other as the arrived or left. This is a great place to relax outside, enjoy a beverage, and some munch some tasty food.
So I was craving pasta as one does, and my partner suggested this place. I hadn't eaten all day was hangry. Got so excited to discover vegan sauce and meats. I'm getting pumped! Our server was collectively bummed when we realized that the BYOP is not build your own pasta... but build your own pizza. Got some fried mushrooms (which had the perfect crunch oh my gawd) and decided on the vegan pizza the Spock with the impossible meats. Server came out and delivered the news - no impossible meats. I was gutted but she insisted on adding a topping no charge. I chose mushrooms. Y'ALL. When I say they hooked me UP. The vegan pizza was one of the most delicious I've EVER had and I've been vegan for nearly 9 years. Three service is fabulous, the food and drinks were well balanced and the parking is plenty. Come and have some fun at Pour House
I'm a newly transplant to the Austin scene. I'm a San Francisco native and to find an eclectic hipster craft beer that offers an incredible pint to pie option is awesome. Mark the bartender went out of his way to ensure I was made to feel as a regular. Great pies and a wonderful selection of craft beers. My hat's off to the staff!
My first time here, loved the chicken Bruschetta and the pesto. I'm not sure if that's the correct name, but these two were a hit. You can certainly tell the ingredients are fresh and the sauces are in house. I cook myself and it certainly works well with the pallet.
It’s hard to find a quiet place to sit outside and enjoy a few drinks and food these days. My wife and I enjoyed everything Pour House had to offer.
Pour House is a great local place for pizza and beer in Great Hills. The beer selection is good and the pizza is great.
What got us hooked on this little hidden gem was the sourdough pizza dough and that ooey gooey cheesy goodness. Can’t go wrong with a basic cheese pizza from here. Love the ambiance and vibe of the inside of this place and they have a bunch of outdoor seating too!
It was a cold evening but we toughed it out because you guys are dog friendly on y'all's patio! We LOVED that y'all brought out our waters and also someone brought out a water bowl for our golden retriever Sweetie and sweet boy Beau! Thank you especially to Taylor who was such a joy to chat with and kept us tended to at every second! She waited on us as if we were inside! Everyone not just Taylor, was so soo attentive :) thank you!
This place was a pleasant surprise. Great place to watch sports or just hang out. Plenty of TVs and cool outdoor seating area. They have plenty of beers and wines on tap, and a full bar. There's not much of a chance that won't find something you like here. The place is clean and has some cool art on the walls, so you should try it out sometime.
The seasonal chili was awesome. The Caesar was as well. The pizza did not disappoint. We were frequently checked on by the staff, and they were more than accommodating. Flexible seating indoors and outdoors and they have several TVs (if you are looking to watch sports or something). This was my first time here, and I'm glad I went to try it. I will for sure be back to Pour House
The Pour House has amazing hospitality. From service to atmosphere to food, everything was great! Their marinara sauce is delicious!!
Super good restaurant! We went out with another family, so there were 7 people. We had 3 pizzas and 2 baskets of fries. The staff was super helpful, and the food was very tasteful. They didn't leave behind any toppings, and cooked to perfection. The fries were also amazing, and had just the right amount of seasoning. Would 100% go again, and you should visit as well!
Such a wonderful experience! Taylor went above and beyond when I made a request a day before for my takeout order for a birthday. She followed up with my the day of pick to insure everything went according to plan. Highly recommend because of the customer experience.
This was our first time going here and it was fantastic! Started off with such a friendly welcoming by their staff towards us but most importantly towards our dog (who of course LOVES attention). The pizza was so delicious and they provide such great hospitality. Will most definitely be returning!
This place is a gem. We were in town for business and man the food was excellent, service was top tier and prices were more than reasonable for all the quality. Will return thank you to our server Tim for the outstanding service tonight
Evie was so kind to accommodate our large group on short notice. We all has the best time & the food was fantastic!
Met some coworkers after work, the beer selection was very good. Jai Alai - excellent. And, thumbs up for the Chicken bruschetta pizza. The staff was great! Good suggestions on specials, and made our "Strategic offside meeting" go great
This place is a must go to. Its so pretty in the evening on the patio with all the lights. The staff is so sweet and always very accommodating. We’ve gone here numerous times and the bathrooms are always spotless. The food is always hot and you can tell it’s made with fresh ingredients. Overall great place to visit. And it’s dog friendly :-)
First office happy hour here. It was great! Staff was super friendly and attentive. We had a large crew, over 20 people and Noone waited more than 5 minutes or so to get assistance. We did traditional appetizers and everything was fast and flavorful. The drink list was extensive! Had a great time. Would recommend to anyone.
We had a group of about 20 people from my granddaughter's graduation ceremony. The manager and employees were very friendly and helpful in finding a place for us even though they were already pretty full for their big place. They set us up in the back room. I wish I remembered our waitresses name. She was so friendly, patient and attentive to everyone of us. Her service was excellent - always making sure we had drinks and seeing if there was anything else we needed. Pour House is blessed to have such a great employee. By the looks of seeing the other waiters and waitresses in action while waiting for seating it looks like they have great employees who enjoy their job. Everyone was very happy with the dishes they ordered.
Excellent spot with great vibes! The staff here are genuinely nice and welcoming. We loved the food, especially the pizza, the crust is perfectly thin and wonderfully crispy. Paired with their great beer selection, this place offers a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!
LOVE this place. It's a great place to sit and chat with friends, the food is pretty decent, especially at the price, but the service is where it really shines! Our server was so nice, and attentive.
Pour House had a pasta special: Penne pasta with a homemade vodka sauce and Italian sausage topped with fresh parm served with garlic....chibata.....toast! I got the last one (sorry not sorry) and let me tell you.......that pasta was 🔥. I didn't even stop to drink my beer which was the Lakewood: Pumpkin Spice Latte Temptress, 9.1% abv. Tears welled after this meal let me tell ya. Pour House please let me know when this is on the menu again 🥹
The pizza at Pour House is absolutely amazing — super delicious, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! 🍕 They also have a great variety of pizzas and beers, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but that’s what makes it even better — it’s casual, comfortable, and focused on what really matters: great food and drinks. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for a relaxed place with excellent pizza and an impressive beer selection! 🍺
This is my first ever review and I just want to say this, throughout my whole life I have had many pizzas but none have looked and tasted as good as this. This absolute diamond in the rough has wowed me beyond belief, some of the best pizzas hit your stomach like a rock but this pizza does no such thing, you can’t go wrong here it’s amazing!
This restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience if you’re looking for a patio and good wine, but it falls short when it comes to the food. The outdoor seating area is definitely the star of the show—spacious and cozy. The wine selection is another highlight. With a variety of reds, whites, and sparkling options, there’s something for every palate. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to recommend a bottle or glass that complements your mood, which adds to the overall experience. The wine, paired with the charming ambiance, almost makes you forget about the food—almost. The menu, unfortunately, doesn’t live up to the same standard. While nothing is bad, it’s just average and doesn’t match the effort put into wine selection. If you’re coming for a drink and a great atmosphere, you’ll leave happy. But if food is your main priority, you might find it underwhelming.
This place is a sleeper, so sneaky. From the road, this place looks quiet and empty. But there is a big parking lot in the back and great food inside. Everything I had here was incredible. There's so much care given to each menu item. I can't believe it's taken me years to give this place a try. When judging food only, it is one of the top 10 restaurants I've ever been to.
Came in with high expectations, very happy with the food quality! We tried the Buffalo Chicken and The Dude, as well as a kids cheese and Fried Greenbeans. Everything was tasty and great quality. Greenbeans was enough for 4 of us. For the price, it was good, wish it cost less but the quality is there. Will definitely be back.

We had the nicest server. Very knowledgeable about the menu. Friendly. Just the right mix of attentive without the hovering. On to the food. We had the chicken with basalmic drizzle. The crust was thin, crispy and perfect. (I like all kinds of pizza crust, New York, deep dish, etc.) Decent selection of beers on tap, but wish they had more. Laid back Austin vibe. Not busy for a Friday night.
Love this casual spot’s casual atmosphere (with plenty of parking 🙌) for an impromptu weeknight hang out after work with friends close by. The service is always friendly, timely, making it an easy choice for it to become a local hang out.
Second time visiting and another solid win on the pizza choice, we shared the Hawaii 5.0 this time. Classic toppings, nothing groundbreaking happening here but it was very flavorful and fresh tasting. Nice outdoor seating area under the trees to relax and catch up with a friend. Wednesday evening brought up the happy hour crowd post work but it didn't get too busy and there was a nice vibe.
Great, close to home, and casual place to meet up with a couple of friends on a quick week night catch up! Staff is always helpful and friendly, the food portions are generous, and when weather permits, there’s tables with umbrellas out front and a patio.
Delicious! Unfortunately they were out of a couple topping options (Canadian bacon & green peppers). Slices were cut pretty unevenly. Overall really great food and our server was very friendly.
This is a nice neighborhood pub. I think it would be really fun on a Friday or Saturday night, but I seem to be here during quieter times, when it's just about perfect for beer and conversation with friends. The beer selection is really good, and I like their tasty cocktails. Their pizza is fantastic. Service is always quick and friendly. I have never tried sitting inside, always on the patio. Recommended.
Decent variety of beer on tap. Fried pickles and pizza are outstanding. Outside seating is mostly nice but right by a busy road that gets loud at times. Still good if the weather cooperates.
We ordered pizzas on the patio accompanied by a couple of light beers. Service was awesome; food delicious! Great evening for outdoor dining. the only negative is being charged for "no bacon" request on my strawberry pecan spinach salad. That's just SO not Austin....😊
For bar food they're pretty good, their wings are delicious and pizza is very very good. Unfortunately, for a bar their drinks aren't great and they're always out of something. Beer selection is pretty good. The place itself is fine, TV, spacious outside seating and a great room in the back if you're looking to host your fantasy football draft there. Good craft beer selection, friendly staff, ok prices, and delicious cheesy garlic bread and fried mozzarella appetizers! I also really appreciated that when I mentioned I was torn between a porter and a cider that I'd never tried, even though I went ahead and picked the porter without asking for samples, our server still brought out a sample of the cider for me to try in case I wanted to order it later. Thank you!
Visited recently for out of town guest. Pizza is decent nothing great, a bit doughy. The patio is an awesome place to sit on a nice evening. Tables are all first come first serve with no hostess so a bit of organized confusion. Overall not a bad option for some good beer and pizza at a fair price.
After passing by numerous time we decided to answer the “pizza call” at the Pour House: apparently, a busy spot on a Friday night. Every table outside was taken, the bar was full as well. We liked our booth in a back of the main dining room, nevertheless. The server dashed to take our orders soon after we opened an online menu. Luckily, we did the homework ahead of time and were ready. We ordered individual, 11-inch pies that came put in a reasonable time. The first slice went down quickly, although it became too salty halfway. The crust had a nice, chewy texture inside and a slight crunch on top. I wish there would be more chicken and less bacon. I could hardly identify artichoke by taste, and some of it was just dried out. I wonder if it added to salt amount overall. Two of us share a glass of a semi-dry and boozy (for me) draft cider, which helped to wash the salt off.
Wonderful place, enormous patio w/smoking & non-smoking areas. Service is talkative and friendly. Incredible music from 80s when I was there. Clientele seemed a bit clicking but I guess that's Austin these days. Overall I love it. :)
This place is fine for a local joint, especially for the price point. They’re understaffed but nice. We just ended up feeling pretty trapped at our table with how much time would pass between seeing our waiter. They’ve got a great selection of beer on tap, and the pizza is good even if it’s not the best you’ve ever had. For just meeting up with friends to hang on a nice day after work, it’s a great location to relax and chat. We may give them another try to see if the service is better and changes our overall experience. I would say be prepared to wait for awhile, but otherwise give it a shot.

Pretty good pizza and excellent salad. Beer is nice and cold. All at a good price. Love the outdoor patio. Kid friendly but it's definitely not Chucky cheese. Good neighborhood beer joint.

The server was great, but the tables were dirty, there was nobody to get you and the only way We got a server to our table was because I tracked one down. The pizza was okay, but took entirely too long to come out to the table and very greasy.. The lighting inside was blindingly bright and the angles of the televisions to watch the game were horrible. I have not tried sitting outside, as I would think that would be the most desirable place to sit. However, I won't be recommending this place to anybody.
Be sure to ask if your food is spicy. We ordered the dude pizza and they never told us the artichoke bits were spicy. I cannot stand spicy food. Only time we were told was when we asked why it was so spicy. Same with another dish. The menu never indicates spicy. Service was mediocre at best. Not a horrible experience but it could have been better.

Great pizza and service! The perfect happy hour vibes. The pies are a little overpriced for the size but its great food.
Drinks were slow and pizza was very average. Drink glassware came out that was obviously not cleaned properly and fingerprints on the rims.

Good service, poor pizza. 1- Dough used was either frozen or v sub-par quality 2- Veggies were too raw. Onion, Green peppers and mushrooms had a raw bite to them. We pointed it out to our server to which she said Do we want to pop it in the oven or take home? 3- Pizza was very salty. 4- Pizza was very exprensive ($24) - felt like total ripoff. 5- Indoor seating is light on decor. We were here to celebrate 30 days of intense gym, but really left with a bad mood. Definitely won't recommend and won't be back. Sorry Pour House, I don't usually give bad reviews but you really made a good evening bad.
Insanely mid. I was expecting more after such good reviews. Pepperoni was mostly cheese, maybe 10 big pepperoni pieces that just slid right off with the cheese whenever you bite. Less cheese guys, cmon. Also waiters just kind of stand around like they don’t like their job. I’ll go back for the patio experience Good beer selection
Six of us visited on a Wednesday night. It wasn’t busy but the service was super slow and sloppy. They kept getting our order wrong and even the final bill was wrong. The staff was super friendly but they kept all hanging at the bar with 20+ minutes of not coming to the table. Fun times… for them. They added a 20% tip to our table of 6. Not acceptable. With so many amazing places in Austin, we will probably not come here again. The reviews are good so it was probably a night off. With such good beer selection, I hope you have a better experience than ours.
Was there on a Friday night with friends on the patio. Our server was writing our orders down, but we were waiting 35+ mins to get our drink orders. At one point one of the other servers had come around to us and admitted our server was not at all keeping track of our drink orders with names, cards etc. Arrived at 8pm got my first beer at 9:20pm after being yelled at by the bartender that I can’t order from the BAR, I have to order from my server who was not around. After I cashed out my ONE BEER that I got charged $21.99 for with the server. I never got my tab to sign, I asked for it three times because all he did was give my card back. SMH, first and last time going to this place. Get a new bartender, she seems to be, as she said it, “easily overwhelmed”.
A group of eight friends met at the Pour House on Jollyville Monday 2/19/24. We've been there many, many times before. There were only three tables occupied on the patio & ours was the largest. There we were enjoying food & drinks on a lovely day, when the manager, Evie, decided to pull me away from the table. For five minutes she stood there insulting me, calling our entire table names I can't even write here, and publicly embarrassing me. The next thing I knew she was back at our table insulting ALL of us. Here are our crimes: 2 ladies very politely sent their soup back because it was cold. It was returned to them cold. I was served the wrong drink & was nice about it. 2 of us ordered the same pizza. When the waitress brought it out I said, "hey if that's mine I'm going to need it in a box because it's to go". To be fair, it was the other guy's pizza. Still, no one was rude in the slightest. We are eight professional people, 1 architect, 1 teacher, high tech managers, former military and a financial adviser. When our checks came, Evie blurted out "you better not try to run on your checks!". Are you kidding me right now? We have collectively spent thousands of dollars at this establishment, but we refuse to do business with a restaurant who would let their manager berate and cuss at their clients. I have visited restaurants all over the world and I have never witnessed such a hideous, unprofessional manager. Our group will never go there again.
A friend of mine took me to this place yesterday it was my first time there we were celebrating my birthday the Hawaiian Canadian bacon pizza was so good our waitress Destiny and the manager Dave had great customer service it had a really cool vibe and I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be bringing more of my friends back I also got the Malibu sunrise drink it was pretty good as well!!
Place has gone way downhill over the last decade. We ordered a pizza last night that was worse than a bake-to-home pizza. So bad several people stopped eating it. And my group was hungry. Wow. Pizza used to be great so I suspect they cut way back on ingredient quality to save a buck. Always happens to even the best of places. Even their famous pizza rolls just… weren’t the same. Sad. Price was egregious for what we got as well. Start looking for a new pizza place.
