Cafe Social 68 Avenue B Reviews
One of my favorite go to coffee spots in the area! Their coffee is always solid, chocolate croissants and spinach/feta pastries are yummy (I wouldn’t recommend the babka though). They’ve got nice little outdoor seating and free WiFi which is great if you’re looking to wfh without really working from home! The staff and management are customer oriented- always appreciate that:)
They get FIVE stars because customer service, notice I said that first👀annnnd they have a few good tasting vegan options. My fave is the tahini cookie. They also have quinoa/spelt flour croissants, that came in an extremely close 2nd. They have a few other options that are good but that tahini cookie is THE BEST!😋 🙌🏾😄
Friendly folks. Great coffee. Lovely outside w tables and chairs to enjoy coffee, pastry and watch the world. A bathroom, too! And youre supporting local. Starbux is big enough.
Live in this building. There was a place here before called crossanteria. It generally did the same thing — coffee, croissants, pastries, some breakfast stuff. They also did it all wrong...coffee was bad, food was below par, people were rude and they played the music incredibly loud (I live right above the spot and it was brutal) Everything they did wrong, this place does right. Coffee is excellent, all the food I’ve had has been on point, all the people have been super nice and they play good music at the right volume. When croissanteria went out of business, I was so stoked (hate to admit it). Was a bit nervous about who would move in and I couldn’t be happier with the new addition.
Amazing place. Nice and delish vegan croissant, not too sweet. Nice staff/ aura and seating options.
Cute and trendy coffee shop with well crafted coffee and yummy food. Great setup too.
new favorite east village coffee place unlocked, nate is the best even went to get bananas from near by to make me a new years smoothie!! great coffee, great service ❤️❤️❤️

I wish I took a moment to take a picture of my sandwich. I went in (the aroma of fresh baked croissants hit my nose immediately) and asked for a scrambled egg, cheese n bacon on a croissant. I didn't expect anything special because where I'm from, that exactly what you'll get.. I went to work and opened my breakfast box n it was gorgeous. Lol there was a side of spinach, avocados and red onion (I don't eat onions)... it was simply delicious. I don't know if this sounds exciting, but I know that I wished I lived next door to this place.
the staff here is the absolute best, especially the folks who work in the morning on weekdays. their kindness (and music!) makes it much more pleasant to get through those early morning hours. i’m so grateful for this cozy coffee spot in the neighborhood!
We had the feta and spinach puff pastry - it was delicious and an iced latte. The place is really nice and calm !
This is a wonderful little cafe. The mocha is a frothy, chocolaty cup of goodness. They also have tasty treats to tide over your appetite between meals. A restroom for customers too! Ask the staff for the key. A nice addition to the community! Continued good luck to this new cafe!
Warm and welcoming staff. Americano is hot, smooth, and strong and I love the menu selections. Big windows with lights coming in so it's a great place to stay in doors with an outdoor feel. I love the plants! The cafe is pet friendly and has strong Wi-Fi for my fellow remote workers.
The staff is friendly and very good at making espresso drinks (cappuccino, latte, espresso) and the food is fresh and tasty. I like the atmosphere, inviting to anyone who wants to hang. I recommend stopping here from anywhere in this neighborhood.
Staff are lovely and personal. One of the best cafes in the neighborhood. Great vegan options. Only suggestion would be for management to take control of the music and make a playlist that fits the vibe.

Cute space with friendly baristas. My Parmesan and Leek pastry was served to me quite cold. Chai was ok. Would come back if I was in the area because it gets the job done.
I had a smoothie, blueberry croissant, and banana bread. Everything was ok but a little pricy. They should update the Menu.

I think I ordered the wrong thing... don't get the pistachio croissant... Super nice staff. Ample baked goods. If you're in a pinch, and need breakfast and a coffee in the area, it might be a good option.
Pastry-forward cafe that also has coffee. Cafe Social 68 has high potential, and is worth exploring, but doesn’t bring the best of coziness, artsiness, or specialty anything to differentiate itself in the brilliant East Village / LES coffee scene. The drip coffee is average, and over roasted. They don’t advertise their beans on the wall of where their coffee comes from, which says it all if you’re looking for specialty coffee. Worth a try again once the weather is warmer! Coffee score: 3/5. Everything else score: 3/5. Overall score: 3/5.

The coffee is good here, and the girl behind the counter is pretty enough to make a dude want to come back, but I was charged $6.48 for an ice coffee. I have the money, and I'm not going to say no during the payment, but that's crazy expensive. Probably won't go back, sad because I live right across from it and they have nice outdoor seating right where all the psycho Avenue A bums frequent constantly.

First time coming here for a bagel and to be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever come back. The workers weren’t welcoming and I’m not sure if it’s because I’m Hispanic but that’s how I felt. NATALIE (pale skin with long hair and no hair net) had an attitude from the minute I spoke with her. I’m happy to not support businesses with nasty employees.
