Best Pizza in Scranton. I've looked, and was disappointed several times by other places, but Callela's Pizza is the one.
I travelled all the way from Orlando to try the best NEPA reviewed pizza and this place does not disappoint. The “Big Mac” pizza was unique and was every bit of savory that I thought it would be. The Al Pastor tacos were insanely out of this world good. The Fettuccine Alfredo is maybe the best I have ever had. If you are in or near Scranton, this is a must stop shop.

Excellent! Its a must try.. porketta is very good and there italian hoagie which is made with Italian meats.. not lunch mea was delicious. We ordered fries which were okay and cheesesteak wraps were very good. I wouldn't order sides or appetizers the next time. Menu has alot to choose from.. which could be trimmed down some. Service was great and good prices.
This was our first time there- Liz was our waitress who is also part owner. Her personality is spot on! She makes you feel like family. One of us order wings(mild honey garlic) she said ok we can make that- it wasn’t on menu. Well when they came out I am sorry I didn’t order the same thing they were the best we ever had! The Italian roll was done to perfection- not greasy like most and meat in every bite! I highly recommend! We will definitely be back there soon. Thank you Liz and Dominick.
Im from NYC, its been hard to find a good well made NY pizza out here. Trusted the reviews placed the order large pizza 🍕. Amazing 👏 my family and I loved it will be coming for more 😋. Reasonable price, great service.

Everything I've gotten here is consistently good. Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and Steak & Cheese Pizza are great. Italian hoagie and steak & cheese eggrolls are the best. The spicy ketchup !
We have ordered several times and are always pleased with everything. The pizza and subs are amazing. My favorite item is the BBQ boneless wings! A lot for your money and no grizzle like other places. The staff are very friendly and service is fast.
Definitely not disappointed! My husband and I treated our co-workers to lunch today (8 people to be exact) everyone ordered something different and everyone raved at how good it was.....the cheese and spinach calzone was awesome (terrific dough) This place is a must on your dining hot spots list!!! Definitely will be a repeat customer!!! Staff and food are awesome!
Spending a night in Scranton and stumbled upon Callela’s. Very accommodating staff. Owner Liz and husband Ralph were delightful. I had the absolute best chicken piccata I’ve ever eaten. The accompanying garlic knots and broccoli sautéed in olive oil with fresh garlic were delicious. Total price including a generous tip came to $25 which was a real bargain. Go and enjoy; you won’t be disappointed.

🍕🍝 Another amazing night at my sister and brother’s new pizza, pasta, and sub shop! 🍝🍕 As part of my weekly tradition, I tried something new last night: the meat lasagna with meatballs and garlic knots—and it was absolutely delicious! The meatballs were so flavorful, reminding me of my dad’s famous recipe that everyone adored. It felt like a little taste of childhood. The environment is just as wonderful as the food—warm, inviting, and so relaxed. It’s truly a place where everyone feels like family. Can’t wait to see what I’ll try next week.
I am the owner of the NEPA Trour and had their tripe tonight the only thing they could do is they could have made the tripe hotter for it was like warm according to my husband but I Lucia enjoyed it
Great food and atmosphere. We’ve been here multiple times since they opened and everything we ordered was excellent, especially the wing bites, cheese ravioli and Po Boy! Great seating area that offers a relaxing and comfortable environment. You’ll feel like you’re part of the family.
The gentleman working the counter that cashed me out was very friendly and an all around nice guy. The philly cheesesteak pizza was only a 3 out of 5 stars though. The dough, crust, and ingredient were made and cooked perfectly. The only thing wrong was that there wasn't any sauce or anything on it at all. It should have had some type of alfredo sauce or something on it. The pizza had decent flavor but it lacked something and seemed a little dry. I wouldn't mind trying a different pizza since the dough and other ingredients seemed on point. I'll probably be back to give them another chance.
The pics are misleading. Our meatball pizza looked like leftover hamburger was thrown on it. We could barely taste the sauce, there was a light dusting of cheese. I have to admit the crust was pretty good. Next time I'll buy the crust and top it myself. On the plus side the wings were just crispy enough. The wing sauce was barely hot. The bleu cheese dressing was good and the celery was still green. I was not pleased but I was too tired to take it back.
Was very excited based on reviews but tried a wide variety of things on a take out order. Every item my family had all underwhelmed. Untoasted garlic bread, bland sauce, flavorless pizza on cardboard crust, ordered soups got salads. Nothing was outright bad but nothing was good either.
Honestly I’m very disappointed in the quality of this restaurant, I’m having a hard time understanding how it has 4.6 stars. The woman working there was kind, but everything else was not great. The atmosphere is super outdated and the food was not good at all. My friend bought a sub and it had a weird smell to it so he asked for them to make him a different one, but they declined. The garlic bread had raw garlic on it? The cheese fries were pretty much stale along with the bread to the subs being hard as well. More than half of the food we just had to throw out, definitely recommend checking out other options first.
