Chipotle Bakersfield Reviews
Love Chipotle! This location has some of the nicest employees and they pretty fast during rush. The ladies up front seemed to work very well together. The food is always delicious and it's tons of food for a good price.
It has been my experience that regardless of how busy they are, the staff always gets you out in under 10 minutes. In addition to their speedy demeanor, the employees are extremely friendly and very helpful. The quality of the food is always good and consistent.
As an Aussie I have heard all these wonderful things about chipotle and today was my first experience. I am super impressed with this location - the team were patient efficient and super friendly. Their cleaning standards were top notch. And they didn't skimp on the guac which is always seems to be a thing back home. I can see why people stan chipotle
My wife loves Chipotle and I think it's pretty good. Usually a bit busy and limited locations. We don't go often but the few times I have, it's been an enjoyable experience and good food.
Ran into some issues with the register. Ended up having to go through the line with a manual card reader. The manager didn't hesitate to help his workers, apologize to everyone for something that was totally out of his control, and comp'd meals. Don't usually type out too much for reviews, but I have to give it to this store. They really are super pleasest when I'm there and give it their all.
I Love the Barbacoa Burrito on flower torts with the white rice & the black beans....! It ROCKS. I have noticed the amount of meat they put into your Burritos has been reduced. But I still Love the place. Great decor, friendly people, great food... Need I say more -
The food was good, but the cleaning and the service were subpar. I was in town for business purposes and thought I'd try this location. I will say that it was busy, and that may have had an effect on the above issues.
Absolutely love this location! The staff are always super nice and the manager Anabelle is great! Have never had any issues with the food and the dining area is always super clean.
I love Chipotle and this location doesn't skimp on the goods. I almost always get a burrito bowl, chicken or barbacoa are the best! Also, try the fajita veggies if you like bell pepper. It can be a little pricy but the quality is always top-notch. The line gets long at dinner time but you can order online and walk up to the register for pick up to avoid it.
Just LOVE coming to Chipotle! Love the food and the service. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience here. The prices are a little high in my opinion but the quality of the food makes it worth it.
The Employees serve however they feel that day. Some do fair food serving some do little servings It's just not fair when I get the most stingy one to serve me
Always taste good.
Definitely understaffed, so more of a wait than normal for Chipotle, but the food is just as good and every employee I interacted with was professional and doing their best to work quickly.
It was great. Haven't been there in years & it didn't disappoint. The only thing was we had to wait for queso to heat up & the line was a tad long and saw people leaving. But overall it was great food!
We need a super button. I am so impressed. The service here is amazing. I am keto and ordered the keto bowl with chicken. It's huge! Got an extra side of guacamole (which is delicious). I don't do a lot of fast food just because. But this us my new place!
I tried the soffit as in a bowl today. I was honestly surprised at how good it was. I was hesitant to try a no meat option because they can be quite weird but it was very good. It was quite flavorful and easy to digest which is a huge plus for someone like me who has issues digesting certain proteins.
Veggie bowl with black beans white rice , fajitas, mild medium sauces, corn, sour cream, guac and lettuce, it's a full meal. The blend of spices was perfect, great taste.
Awesome food!! Employees conscientious about cleaning main door. Overheard others saying they needed to remove their gloves and wash their hands every 30 minutes. Restrooms were clean as well. Thank you, Muller Family
Amazing! Every time I visit the Stockdale location they always get everything right and pack my bowl to the sky!!! This is a great place to get some fresh healthy good food! Do not be mistaken, this isnt a fast food restaurant. The service is fast but everything including the chips are made fresh every day! Always a great place to sto and get something good to eat that will fill you up time and time again.
I like the bowls here and their quak is real good
This chipotle is really good!! A lot of great workers except for the main manager there....Rochelle I believe is her name. Other than that incredible location and Carla is especially awesome. She always does her best as well as a couple of others
Another solid visit to a chipotle! Food was great and the location was very clean. They had a few hiccups while serving people, looked like it was training related so ultimately business as usual. One of my fav places to eat, I'll continue going to this one and many others!
Everything was great but their bowls need slightly larger bowls cause when you get home and try to mix it up, they r to small and a mess happens
Quick, healthy food at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for? Even during the lunch rush the crew at this store manages to get line moving quickly and is very friendly while doing it.
Always willing and quick to change out utensils if you have a food allergy. Friendly and online ordering is easy so you can just pick it up. Good food and service
My burrito was good, however, I purchased chips and expected lime chips. These chips had no lime and barely any salt. What a disappointment!
Went here to grab some dinner for the kiddos and I. The guy who started our order was great and so were his helpers. They had ran out of asada but the second guy took our bowl to the back and I guess they had more back there because the bowl had some asada in it when he brought it back. Thanks for being patient with me since I was going back and forth from messages trying to get my kids orders 😒🤦🏻♀️ Thanks for making dinner for us and the great service you guys provided
Chipotle is great for us because the kids eat healthy too! My husband and I typically get bowls; so, it's an inverted taco salad and the children just gobble it up. The only problem I've ever had has been with on line orders. About 1/4 of the time something isn't right, whether it's not ready on time or the guacamole is missing.
Love their barbacoa. Also love their fresh, responsibly-sourced ingredients. A little pricey but not overly so. And good food is worth it. I do wish they expanded their offerings however. Their menu is a little Spartan.
Love the tacos. My new fave. Sofritas are 👌🏾 Just wish the portions were a tad bit bigger, but no complaints, always fresh and tastes good.
Stockdale Chipotle. Oooo Pollo Asada... mmmm get some My son and I ate at Chipotle this morning. The meal was very good. I had the Pollo Asada, I am now addicted to it. Very tasty. The potions were huge (like the good ol' days). But the soda fountain was weak. I waited at the cash register area (for lids to our bowls to go home and a bag) while the one attendant finished one order (I expect that) but then moved onto the next person without asking to help me. Btw, I was waiting before that person was even in line. Another employee finally checked in, then he helped kindly me. This isn't a deal breaker, only a lapse in someone's etiquette to take a second to even ask if I needed help while I stood there. However, the Pollo asada will call me back indeed. I suggest you go try it too.
They didn't have the meat ready and available. I had to wait awhile while my brother was done eating by the time I got my food. But love them like always
I enjoy the fact that if I’m out and about shopping, Chipotle always offers a healthy option at a reasonable price. The servers are usually very polite, attentive and efficient, which is also a huge plus. I recommend the vegetarian plate with black beans and plenty of guacamole. ¡ Delicious !
Their food is usually good. I feel like their protein portion can be perhaps bigger. Under staffed day I was there. No utensils or napkins available had to ask and wait a while before someone could stock up.
When I go to this place for my burrito fix, it is usually for takeout. They hand build everything as you watch. The portions are usually generous and unlike other restaurants, of this kind, they don't overload the rice to build up the size. When I have gone to this location, they were open to building your burrito to order. So vegetarian choices are available. At times service can be slow, as you wait for your food to be ordered and constructed. This can make it difficult if you are on a schedule to get back to work on time. I believe this is mostly related to the approach they take to order and construct your food. If you are concerned about time, make sure to order ahead for pickup. Just make sure to check your order before you leave because they do make mistakes. Overall I'm satisfied with their food itself. The meat is spiced well, the rice is a good consistency, and overall the additional toppings to the burrito are fresh. In the distant past I have, on two occasions, seen workers assembling food without gloves. I quickly complain about this. But on the majority occasions this is not the case. If this is important to you just keep a sharp eye out and tell them. Overall they are well-kept establishment and everything appears clean and cared for. I am very happy with my service at Chipotle.
I'm a huge fan of Chipotle (twenty years now - that's crazy!). The quality is terrific, the freshness is outstanding, the general consistency is reliable, and the price point is more than reasonable. Other than a little grizzle here and there - I've never brought a meal home that was inedible - that's speaks volumes!!! I'm a customer for life 👍 However, I confess I miss the old days - when the chain was small and the quality more consistent. It's been what, two years since the chips changed? They're still yuck when compared to the previous version. And, I honestly don't recall barbacoa having as much fat in the past. Nonetheless, I don't anticipate cheating on you as there's really no competition - this works in your favor. 😉
This being my first and only visit to this establishment... I really enjoyed the food it was excellent!! The only complaint that I have, is with the service.. The girl that started off the line asks me what I'm going to have, I tell her and, then she proceeds to walk over to help another girl who is working on the line just about 2-3 feet from her and helps her with something she was doing.. When she returns back to her spot in the line, she then begins to ask me for a second time what I would like to have that day... I tell her again, and by now my impatient taste buds are beckoning for substance... She starts to assemble my burrito but, while she is doing this she proceeds to start up a conversation with the girl next to her in the line( the same girl she had previously helped)... and, too my utter surprise this girl once again looks up at me and asks me for a third time, what I wanted before she completed the tortilla, brown rice, steak, and, wow, a scoop of beans!! The broad couldn't multitask at all, nor did she have the short term memory of a small rodent!! Sorry, but for a first time visit, with having not a single table available for me and my family to seat and eat our lunch at, and that is after a 10-15 minute wait standing in line, to have some young thing who obviously should have been a moved from her place in line to a more productive placement in the line for her would have been working that cash register!! Someone dropped the ball in Management!! I will return here to eat again because the food was amazing, I just will not be visiting this location!!
They're stingy with salsa. I bought a cheese quesadilla and asked for corn salsa and hot salsa on side. Lady says ugh let me ask I think it's only 1 side and you pay for the other. Hello it was the same price as a burrito. I should had just told her to add it I side had I know all that jazz
I ordered a Very good half steak half chicken bowl. The seer ice and employees are very kind. I ordered the ceso cheese option which is a dripping sauce for the amazing chips. The chips are almost always on point but not today at this location they were stale.
They are always running out of ingredients here..not sure why because Chipotle monitor their portions. Maybe they need to increase their supply for the high demand
The food was decent but that is about it. They can also drop their $5 sodas
We’ve been here twice in the last month. There is No dine in like it is posted online. This time I even called to see if there was indoor dining. The recording says Yes. After you order, they tell you that you cannot eat inside. The food is great, but obviously they don’t keep up with their website. 😒
Don't get me wrong, when the food is correct, it is fantastic, which is definitely why I keep going back--just HOPING that something will change and chipotle will get it together. Rarely the case. I eat here at least once a month, and every time, I am completely disappointed with the service. Don't bother ordering online, even if the order is correct (don't count on it), the food will most likely be cold, even if you show up when you are supposed to show up. Chipotle is my favorite place to eat and this location is so close to my house that I put up with the subpar service to get my fix.
My friend and I are regulars here. The bowls are being served with about 40% of what they normally come with. Normally I can only eat 1/2 of what it comes with because the bowl is domed over. Today we come and the bowl doesn’t even fill the bottom half of the bowl. I eat the whole thing and am still hungry. Man times are getting rough for chipotle or something… Cheapskates. Pay $14 for $6 worth of food…
Passed by here on a weekend road trip get away. It was very busy and we waited for half an hour before getting to the counter to order. The food was good as with any chipotle, but the big downside was the portion was A Lot smaller, the meats portion was a fraction of all other locations we have gone to. Also they did not put covers on the food plates (salad and burrito🌯). Aside from that still overall ok experience.
You never know what chipotle you’re gonna get. For the price please stop skimping me on my food you put half a spoon of rice and beans and a sprinkle of lettuce. I had to ask for more the guy behind me a tall dude got half of his bowl filled because they don’t give you all you’re paying for. The employees seem attentive and repeat back to you then sometimes give you the wrong thing in front of your eyes. It’s a bit confusing. The food was good just make sure you’re getting your moneys worth.
Haven't been to Chipotle in quite some time. Was a bit shocked at the minimalist appearance inside the store. Very disappointed at the food service. Containers near empty, no apparent effort to refill. They were always on top of that in my past experiences. Servings minimal as well, which was not the case in past visits...very light on the essentials. Had to ask for more on 2 of 4 items ordered. I had to question if Chipotle on the cheap now. Or if this was just poor management of this location. Bummed.
I've been coming to this chipotle since they first opened at this location. And through out the years they have been a hit or a giant miss. Last night was one of those night of being a complete miss.... My food tasted super sweet and then like this weird sour-ish taste that flowed through the entire salad! Which was highly disappointing. I mean thank God that my husband is like a walking garbage disposal because he inhaled that salad like there was NO TOMORROW.
My daughter and her mother love this place and I think it smells great every time I go with them unfortunately I happen to Hate the taste of cilantro and they put it in everything. But if you like it I would recommend trying the food. Plus the staff has always been great when we go in.
Skimpy with the meat portions for the prices! Good if you want a rice and bean burrito
Chipotle On Mt Vernon (once again) was out of ingredients. Last time it was chicken and steak (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY), and this time they didn't have cheese or TORTILLAS for a burrito! Went to the Stockdale location and got the order that we wanted and great service!
You wouldn't think that now would be the Time to cut or skimp on the amount of food served for the hard to come by money and difficulty in purchasing from the local Stockdale Bakersfield, CA store. You would think the management would remind their food servers that the public coming in are expressing their Loyalty as customers and thank them with more --not less-- food for their money. Last night, May 16, 2020, the chicken was less and the burrito and bowl ingredients smaller. I ordered the guacamole and chips for two and was offered a single-sized guacamole serving or the same amount I'd get on a single burrito/in a single bowl. The amount was definitely not a serving for two. That's wrong-minded of Chipotle and it will lose them customers. Gregory Clemens Bakersfield, CA.
My goodness I used to think this one and the one on coffee were the best but I was wrong recently they have been on some kinda stupid kick cause they have lost their touch. I always get the same thing at all the chipotles in town so I know my burrito is rollable and I know how they should portion my stuff. I went in one day and they wanted to try to charge me for 3 side of avocado even tho I only asked for 2 because the girl didnt portion it correctly and the girl charging me heard me tell her only 2 and still had the odosity to ask if it was 3. I was super upset because I'm a regular customer and I get the same thing every time. I think her manager realized I was upset because she stepped it and finished rolling my burrito. She was the only one who was polite and friendly that day. I won't be returning.
Unfortunately I think this will be the last time I order from here. As much as I love the food. This is the second time I found a LIVE BUG on my food. I forgave it the first time...but I can't do it a second time. Makes me wonder how many bugs I might have eaten and not realized. :(
No vinegarette , chips, meat was old and powdery, and a short 5 minute drive home to dine on cold old product.
I have to be truthful here. The tables and restaurant were not just a little dirty. They were pretty unsanitary, and even the area where we got our drinks was rather unhygienic. That day, my kids and I suffered from severe stomach issues just 10 minutes after consuming our meal at the restaurant.
The food was cold and the tortillas were a bit hard and the portions was small and they gave my wife half of the steak instead of offering to wait for steak to be done. Not pleased with the service
I used to go to Chipotle for lunch all the time, it used to be pretty good. But ever since COVID their prices have raised six bucks for burrito. It's tasty but I don't like feeling like I'm getting bent over and butt rammed every time I pay for a burrito. It's getting to the point where it's not worth it....
Came in at 7 pm and was told there wasn’t any asada being made for the rest of the night. It’s 4 hours till closing I don’t understand.
We were on our way to Vegas, stopped by here for lunch. One of the worst Chipotle. We ordered burrito bowls and the staff thought like they are giving their grandmother's recipe and putting as little as little as possible. Chipotle management agreed to give generous servings, but these people bring disgrace to the name,, Chipotle. I think Chipotle should bring weight based bowls, so that no one will get cheated by these staff.
Very slow service. There were four employees on shift and everyone seemed to be working, but staffing and priorities were clearly not enough for the number of customers. One employee was conducting interviews, two were working in the back, and only one person was serving customers and handling the register. The line grew to about 10 people and the wait time was around 20 minutes. In addition, the tables were not clean. This isn’t the first time I’ve been here and noticed dirty tables, which makes it feel like the location is understaffed overall. When it’s busy, there should be more focus on front-of-house service and cleanliness so wait times don’t build up.
The food was good, but the overall experience was disappointing due to cleanliness and service issues. When we went to grab utensils, we noticed there were no forks available. After informing the staff, it took approximately five minutes for them to locate and restock the forks. Meanwhile, we were left standing with our food getting cold. Once we sat down along the west facing windows, I was appalled by the condition of the restaurant. The window sills were lined with old, decomposing food. Rice, sauce, and other unidentifiable items mixed with hair and debris. It was absolutely unsanitary and made me feel nauseated. Additionally, there were visible stains and sauce splatters on the walls, suggesting they haven’t been cleaned in quite some time. This led me to look up, and I noticed the air ducts and vents were heavily coated in dust. If the window sills and walls are neglected, I can only imagine the condition of less visible areas. This lack of cleanliness is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the overall management of the establishment. I hope steps are taken to improve sanitation and response times moving forward.
The first person on the line was very short and didn't actually listen to you. The meat all looked very dry and old. There were flys everywhere, and all 3 of us got nasty sick immediately after eating here.
Rude manager! I will never go to any of their locations! The people who work there are more focused on their own conversations not the customers it honestly feels like they are there to play and not work. I have witnessed the interviewing process and they do not even give a proper interview. I also witnessed a EMPLOYEE EATING IN THE KITCHEN (no gloves, did not wash his hands, and ate on top of the containers of food about to be served) so disturbing from someone who has worked in multiple restaurants. Also saw a girl wipe sweat off her face before wrapping a burrito. Ya the food is good but soo unsanitary.
This place is all hype about nothing special and was absolutely ridiculously overpriced! The only thing good was the guacamole! Even the music was awful. This town is full of delicious authentic Mexican food and it's not at this place,! I really don't understand whu anyone would ever choose this place. Especially to pay double for horrible tasting kinda Mexican food! Hard NO from us!
Went it for a quick burrito since it was not busy. Young lady working today the 26th at 11am gave the minimum amount of scraps to build the burrito. Tiny portions for full price. Never again.
I've been to several Chipotles and the food taste pretty much the same among the different restaurants. But today there was a contamination of salt in one of the ingredients. Every time I ate a scoop of rice, I ate a pinch of salt. It tastes terrible. This happened at the restaurant in Bakersfield, on Feb 19, 2018, approximately at 7:45pm.
Ran out of white rice didn't really seem eager to make more for us but everyone had no problem standing around gossiping. Very empty drink area. Employees loudly cussing at the register and giggling and whispering. Not a very welcoming environment for customers. We definitely will stick to the store on Gosford.
Recieved my food and found 2 strands of hair in it. Called to let the manager know about it and the guy hung up as soon as I said I wanted to make the complaint.
The chicken Al pastor is the most disgusting thing I have ever tried from chipotle. Don’t know why you would want to try to be creative with something so great and as pure as al pastor just to go and mess it up. There was no meat in the chicken, it was all fat, literally had a bowl with no meat just rice and beans and salsa. That’s embarrassing for this location and the company in general, false advertising when they started this new chicken Al pastor. Management needs to take care of this with the corporate or simply just take it off the menu. Also employees here are slow, remind me of the sloths from the cartoon movie zootopia. Taking my business to victors grill moving forward. Peace out chipotle. #bringbackthelemons.
DO NOT COME TO CHIPOTLE!!! They will skimp u. If u ask for some more rice they skimp u on the meat. If ur a rewards member using points they will make u use your points TWICE as if "the first time did not go thru" as much as they have raised prices, they will gladly give u smaller portions, if u are not looking. Don't hesitate to tell them to give u a full scoop. Chipotle has certainly down graded there service and portion control to make a profit.
Catering order for 20 people. 40 mins late. No plates of serving utensils. No apology. Manager Francisco doesn’t know the first thing about customer service. Customer service line wasn’t any better.
Very hot inside. Steak had no flavor. Understaffed and out of items. Was told 25 minutes wait for them to make more meat.
Worse experience ever. I asked for a burrito and then asked for a tray, to drink I asked for a cup for water, the woman that was there who claimed to be “the manager” saw I was dirty (I’m a construction worker and went there for lunch) and she started telling me “this cup is for water ONLY” with an attitude and said out loud “a burrito plus 50 cents for the bowl” without me even asking if it was extra for the bowl, I didn’t even check the price of anything. The whole situation made me upset because I really hate when people look down to someone for his/her looks and I challenged the woman on why she was charging extra but she was a true Karen and just kept going at it. Finally I told her just give me my burrito and she got all upset grabbed the food that was on the countertop and dropped the cup then shoved the food in the trash with rage. Instead of retaliating I gave her a tip, not because she deserved it but because it looked like she really needed it. I really don’t recommend going to this place and I know most of you won’t have a problem with her because most of you have jobs where you don’t get dirty but do you want to go to a place where a construction worker, oil field worker, welder etc. won’t be welcomed?
Very bad service waiting fir 40 min for one order and not helping Choose any other chipotle rather thn this
This is like the third time in two months they’ve ran out of guacamole at 7:00. This used to be the flagship and a great place to grub a burrito. No longer. The food sits a long time, it’s usually not very clean, and they run out of ingredients all the time. I go elsewhere now.
The employees were incredibly rude and unprofessional from the moment I walked in. They seemed annoyed by basic questions about the menu and rushed me through my order without a hint of politeness or patience. The attitude of the staff was dismissive and unwelcoming, making what should have been a quick and easy meal a frustrating ordeal. I understand that everyone has bad days, but treating customers with disrespect is never acceptable. This experience left a terrible impression, and I won’t be coming back to this location ever again. Chipotle should seriously consider training their staff in basic customer service skills—this was unacceptable!
The cashier made a mistake by charging me for steak when I ordered chicken. I took the receipt up to the cashier to get the difference back and he asked if I would bring my meal up to him to prove it was chicken. Losers.
Went the other day for lunch asked for double steak specifically, the lady looked at me scared looked at her co worker gave me a very light serving yelled out double steak, got charged $24, tiok it him frustrated so i weighed my protien out it weighed 3.9 oz, but was so quick to be charged for my double portion, mind you not the first time this has happened. This is just the first time i complained because the beef is not cheap yet i cant even get my portions i asked for. I even asked her is that double meat she looked back at me wide eyed and scared lol, i dont know what the issue is giving customers what they ask and pay for, i called cooperate and they said they will be retraining employees at this location, hopefully so
Came in to get a quick yummy bite at Chipotle. Quincy "helped" us with our order and was very dry with his greeting and aid with making my bowl. I asked for certain items to be placed on the side to help mix it better. Quincy litterly scraped the leftover rice and added it to the bowl. I asked if there was fresh rice coming and he scoffed and continued with my order. Quincy charged for the items as a side when it already comes with the bowl. When I brought it up Quincy said "it doesn't work that way." I didn't ask for extra, just for certain items to be placed on the side. I asked Quincy for a refund and left.
Staff is rude, food is never fresh and always burnt or taste like cleaning supplies. Something is always broken whether it’s the ordering system or bathroom. Not nice place to go.
Honestly it’s always something at this chipotle. The line is always crazy long even though there are visibly at least 6-7 people working, always out of something, and today they couldn’t accept a cash payment with no posted signs or announcement, so I had to leave my food behind without paying. Location is convenient but I won’t keep coming back and dealing with this location it is ALWAYS something.
I came in for a bowl and it was packed with a lot of people with only one girl working the line taking orders and ringing them up while 2 lady's are in the back laughing and gossiping doing online orders. One came and looked at the line in the lobby and laughed and went back to the back while the young lady was working the whole rush. There was no spoons or forks and the girl who was taking orders had to stop what she was doing and go refill them with the line backed up. Where is management or the lead? Where is the help and team work. All employees need some coaching and a new manager this place is a dump now
We held a fundraiser here and the power tripping children behind the counter decided to not input most of our orders for the fundraiser claiming we were advertising in line which isn't allowed. We were reminding our own people to mention it so we could get the proceeds. They messed up a bunch of our orders with their terrible food and had insanely stale chips. Each person working was rude and the food was gross. The restaurant was not clean. I hope they go out of business
Ordered a couple of burritos for my pregnant wife and myself. As she’s eating, she starts gagging. I turn to look for the reason and she spits out a bug bigger than my pinkie nail. Finding a bug leg or a human hair is bad enough, finding a whole bug is unacceptable. Would not ever recommend eating from this Chipotle ever again. Or any for that matter.
So I've been craving for chipotle and too busy to go in line. It's the second time this happened to me at the same place. I ordered online and they don't follow what i put in. Last time there were no fajitas, corn, and sour cream. I was too far to go back and make a complaint. Ordered online again, no corn, a sprinkle of lettuce, and barely any sour cream. I still love chipotle but I think you need to train your employees. I mean the order is already written out, not that hard to read what's in the receipt. In conclusion, I won't be ordering from this place again.
