Scrambled Bakersfield Reviews
Went here for lunch. Had the hainan noodle (l think we call it ifumie back home because it was half fried, so it has that crispy texture). The veggies and shrimp topping were fresh and it was delicious. Our toddler loved it. We also had the pork fried rice. Since the portion is big, we planned to take the fried rice home. But silly me had forgotten and just left the fried rice on the table & left. 😭 It's a very casual restaurant. You order at the cashier first, take your drink from the fridge, and pick a table. They already put your food in a to go container, so it's convenient when you have leftovers. Love how they decorated the restaurant. The layout also great for big groups. The uncle at the cashier was friendly and efficient. Thank you. Spacious parking. Closed on Monday. Will come back to this restaurant if we ever in the area again.
Food was great. Portions are well worth the prices.

Banger food
My favorite Chinese food restaurant in Kingston. Great food.
Nice ambiance, love the decorations and little anime corner. Very friendly, enjoyed my meal every time I've come here. Its chinese food, but my order was hot and well cooked. I recommend the chicken and eggplant, pork chow fun!
My favorite place to get take out. The food has never disappointed me here. Always very fast and very fresh. Even though they have a huge seating area in the back, it is mainly a take away restaurant. They do have a small indoor seating area in front, but it is not full table service. So, don't expect to have a sit down meal with guests. But for those nights that you happened to burn the casserole, the cat ate the chicken off the counter, or you are just down for some great Chinese food...this is the place.
Honestly I really like their food. Chicken is good quality and not rubbery. Good flavors. Can’t complain!
I just love their food. The best in Kingston. General Tso's Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup, and Veg Fried Rice😋 I've eaten there many times and everything has always been delicious.
Haven't been here since the pandemic but still the best Chinese food I've ever had. Super fresh vegetables, great flavors, big portions great price. Would 100% recommend
I love this place. The owners are so sweet and treat you super nice. Food is AMAZING also have awesome paintings that are for sale. I purchased two. I recommend this place !!

Excellent food, don't like the fact that everything you eat off is disposable
Good food and ok prices kinda expensive
Good food & good service
I really like their food. Not too salty, yet fresh and tasty. I often would come for a simple lunch ... nothing fancy, just good and very reasonably priced.
It was my first time at C gourmet. The last time I was in this building, it was a Jack in the Box. So it's been awhile. We were a to go order. They were fairly expensive, but not drastically so. I myself had a General Tso Chicken combination meal. I am not thrilled that it was something like $16. Probably because it comes with soup. It was just too much food for one person. It also was unnecessarily more expensive. The Egg Drop soup was very good. The General Tso Chicken was good. The fried rice was okay. But it was a little dry and had no pork. But it had peas and carrots, which made it decent. I added some soy sauce to help it. But it was still a little dry. Not the best food I have ever had. But it was good enough that I would order it again when back in town. I do like that they use plastic containers that we can eat out of, then reuse and recycle, rather than the cardboard containers we got recently in the area. Wasting trees to toss in the landfill, while having to also use and still have to wash plates is not my preferred way to go. So the plastic containers made me happy as well. All in all, C gourmet was decent. Not the best or the least expensive either. But it was decent food at an not overly expensive price. They are worth a visit.
Got takeout order, 2nd time there. Food was good, had a great taste. Will go back again.

Had the best general tso chicken several times in the past....but,,last time the chicken was in large chunks with grizzle and the sauce was watery and tasteless.... Very unfortunate

Pros: -szechuan dumplings had good flavor. -Appeared to be clean inside. Cons: -Ribs were basically leather on bones. -none of the entrees had more than a tbls of sauce. -beef&broccoli was 87%broccoli and 13%roastbeef. -dumpling meat slightly undercooked. -small portions. -Shrimp was tiny and mushy. For the price of the food the quality was seriously lacking.
I hadn't been to this spot in several years, but I went excited for sushi. Although there is a neon sign in the window that says "Fresh Sushi" none is currently being offered. It is a very traditional take away Chinese restaurant with all of the normal offerings. We usually order from Rosendale's Gourmet Kitchen which we love. The prices were higher, the food was disappointing. We both ordered General Tso's and it was nothing to write home about. Not very flavorful nor spicy. The scallion pancakes were inedible. The crab rangoon looked like the kind that you can buy at Sam's Club.

If you can settle for Sams club quality food. Small portions for a high quality price, sitting in a restaurant doubling as a thrift store and not recieving what you ordered with no apology or remedy then this place is perfect. If you want good chinese food in Kingston NY take the 5 minute trip to Wing Shui or Miso and save yourself the dissapointment.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Chicken was cold and rubbery, bland, flavorless food overall. Wontons were very soggy. On par with microwave Chinese but much more expensive. They gave me the wrong item and refused to give me a refund, charged me for the correct item.
Went with my daughter because this used to be our favorite spot. The back is still closed and still no sushi but we decided to give it a try anyway we sat in the front, they bring out her food and my soup but completely forgot about mine after 5 mins they bring mine after saying something and it was ice cold and disgusting. It was like they microwaved it for 3 mins. Definitely not fresh. I took 2 bites and couldn’t eat the rest. So disappointing and a waste of $43. Will not be returning.
Not sure what happened to this place but this place went seriously downhill. Went in to eat and the main dining room was closed. A sign was up saying no sushi until further notice. When we arrived we were asked if we were ordering to go, but the man behind the counter was very surprised when we said we wanted to dine in. He said ah yes we do offer fine dining. I'm not sure what was fine about it. I had to go up to the counter to order myself. All our food was brought in to go containers. The pickled veggies that used to come with every meal never came. I had to grab my own utensils, chop sticks, and drinks. However, the worst part was the food itself. We ordered several different kinds of dumplings and dim sum as well as some lo mein. Many of which tasted off or just plain bland. The shrimp dumplings were horrible and tasted turned so I quickly returned them out of fear of getting sick. We left the entire container of lo mein untouched. My niece was feeling sick to her stomach when we left. We will never return here.
The food was terrible and now I’m sad.
Ordered general tso chicken with white rice. Drove 30 minutes home to find there was no white rice
