We had an incredible family lunch today at Jun BBQ, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The moment we walked in, the place was buzzing with energy. A consistent flow of hungry diners, a true sign of how loved this spot is. The Chinese cuisine was absolutely delicious, and the dim sum was nothing short of superb. Every bite was rich with flavor and perfectly prepared. The service was top-tier, attentive without being overbearing, and it elevated the entire experience. Overall, Jun BBQ delivered a memorable dining experience we won’t soon forget. We’re already looking forward to coming back and indulging in those amazing flavors again soon. Price point was spot on and worth every penny.

A very cozy and homey feel. We’re welcomed in by the friendliest servers. Always greeted us and checked on us with a smile. Food was delicious and generous portions. Will definitely be back. We had the steamed dumplings, and the spicy beef noodle soup.

I just happened to walk by this place at lunchtime and decided to give it a shot. I am so glad that I did. This is no frozen, premade, fast-food type Chinese place. It is really very good and tastes like home-made. I was hoping to try the garlic seafood special, but by the time I was ordering, they were already out. I asked and they regularly rotate the specials, so I will have to go back earlier and see what is on offer. What I had first was potstickers and eggrolls. Both were very good, the eggrolls were obviously fresh made, but the potstickers were the real star. The sauce is fantastic, and the dumplings themselves were wonderful. Clearly not frozen, their texture was lovely and the filling was even better. The dipping sauce was fantastic and ginger forward. Next I had the beef skewers and they were just about perfect. they were marinated and well seasoned. There was something a little unexpected in the taste. I think it was cumin. Anyway, they tasted great, the meat was tender and cooked about medium to medium well. I probably ate enough for two people, and I was stuffed by the time I finished and all for just over $30. I will definitely visit Jun Barbecue again. It took about 15 minutes to get the food, so call ahead if you are in a big hurry.

My eyes were larger than my stomach, but the food was amazing. You might need to bring a friend or two to finish the food. I’m glad to know I have lunch figured out for the next two days. I ordered soup dumplings and the sautéed spicy green beans. The meal was phenomenal. It tasted like a good home cooked meal. It was warm, flavorful, and inviting!

We ordered Jun BBQ for my sister’s dumpling themed baby shower and it got rave reviews from our guests. We had shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, potstickers, egg tarts, and a few sesame balls out and everyone went back for more. The shrimp dumplings were voted #1. The were made fresh and delivered piping hot! Thank you for making my sister’s baby shower so special. We’re going to be Jun regular customers!

Well i just got done working. I wanted some Dim Sum before my long travel back to Bay Area. I looked up this place and didnt dissapoint. The front counter waitress was very nice and i was also given a free drink. The skewers are perfectly cook and seasoned. The dim sum i got was really good and authentic. Well everytime i come near bakersfield i will be coming here for dim sum or some dinner. There whole menu looks simple and not crowded which is good there quality is excellent.

Finally a nice Chinese restaurant in Bakersfield with authentic food but not the outdated decor or music from 50years ago. The toothpick lamb is especially delicious.

They have expanded the restaurant and there are plenty of tables available. We ordered shrimp dumplings, shumai, spicy green beans, sticky rice and toothpick lamb. Everything was delicious and we are looking forward to our next visit!

My family and I stopped by this place because we saw a TikTok about it a few days prior. Safe to say, we were not disappointed at all. The food was fresh, flavorful, and piping hot. Nothing tasted old or reheated. We ordered the lamb skewers, spicy beef noodle soup, xiao long bao, potstickers, chicken feet, and spicy popcorn shrimp. Everything was delicious. Nothing was left on our plates, that's how good it was😅. We do hope that they get to extend or get a bigger location, so that more folks can be seated and served. We will be coming back for sure:). (The only thing left on that one plate is the tails of the shrimp and the bedding of chilis the shrimp were on top of lol.)

The pork buns were soft, fluffy, and filled generously, while the sesame balls were crispy on the outside with sweet red bean inside — absolutely perfect! Service was warm and friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. The only opportunity for improvement would be increasing seating capacity, or maybe offering some al fresco dining as an option — it would make the experience even better. Definitely a must-try spot when you’re craving good dim sum in Bakersfield!

I arrived and was pleasantly greeted. I waited close to 5 minutes for a seat. I looked over the menu. I ordered lamb skewers and spicy beef noodle soup. The lamb skewers were not available so I substituted having the tooth pick Lamb rice which was really good. The spicy beef noodle soup lacked flavor and spice. The total price of the meal including tip came to 42.97. Very friendly and nice place with good music.

Amazing experience here, their prices are really great and the food itself comes as a bigger portion, I got a $10 chicken and sticky rice and a green tea. I was full after the first of three bundles and they were great to snack on for my drive. Every one of the workers were kind and gave great service

Came here for the first time on lunar new year and it was soo busy, we expected to have a long wait but thankfully we didnt. The food was delicious and came out fairly quick considering the amount of families there. The service was great, the staff and our waitress Melissa were very friendly and made us feel welcome. My family and i will definitely be back<3

We first tried their dumplings at the farmers market, and we heard they had opened a restaurant, we knew we had to go. Everything was delicious, I didn’t get to take a picture of the potstickers we ordered but they were delicious as well. They gave us the egg tarts complimentary, they had just came out of the oven, they were so good. We will definitely be eating there again!!! The staff was so friendly:)

4.1/5 for the shumai, shrimp dumplings, and egg tarts. Shumai and shrimp dumplings were decent, but I wouldn’t say its better compared to the ones that I’ve had in Asia. The egg tarts were good but it didn’t taste fresh. Felt like it was from yesterdays batch. But nonetheless, I wouldn’t say its come back and try their other items. The only reason why I would comeback is because of their amazing service.

The soup dumplings are good. The pork buns are decent. The beef skewers are awful. Don’t waste your money. Server really sweet. Soup dumplings are enough for me to return. Their dumpling sauce at the table is fire.

My order never came. I ordered water & Boba the water never came. I also ordered the special which was spicy walnut shrimp & bbq pork buns. The pork buns came but the shrimp never came. The server never came & check on me. It wasn’t busy. Only 2 tables were occupied when I got there. Then a family of 3 came, they got the food (the special that I ordered) while I was waiting for mine. There was a male staff that checked on other tables but never made eye contact with me or check on me. Then another couple came. The server took their order (they sat behind me) but never once check on me. I couldn’t get her attention. Until way later I was able to get her attention and told her that I was waiting for my shrimp. Then she told me she never ordered it, she thought that I just wanted the pork buns. She told me that she could put the order in, I told her no, I got to go. I told her that she never check on me, my water never came I was so disappointed. So don’t expect to get a good service here. Adding to my honest review: see how the owner responded, very immature of him. Name calling, by calling me weird after this review was posted.
