I have already been vocal about Golden Chicken in ballinger, Texas, absolutely the greatest- perfectly cooked chicken meal. At fast food quality that I have ever encountered and endured, this establishment is absolutely the best chicken from a fast food restaurant, hands down I've had anywhere else in the world, please do not lose that cook. Everything was perfect, and probably in the top 10, of all chicken meals of my life,

My husband and I dropped in for a quick bite to eat on our way out of town. We were served well and promptly, the dining area was cleaned well, and the food hit the spot. Keep up the good work y'all!

Lord have mercy, whoever put the new management in place or the new workers, good job! This was the best meal I've had come out of that building yet! Rolls were hot and fresh, the fried chicken fell off the bone, and they got our entire order correct. Yell doing good things! Keep it up!

It's good chicken. Fast. Right there. Nice clean location. Only thing negative is getting up to that door and opening. Try that.. you see what I mean. It's extra effort than anywhere else. But aside from that, it's near Stripes and Walmart. Eat. Shop. Get gas.

We went here with a big group of friends and were accommodated nicely. The chicken was juicy and flavorful! Other people's food looked really good too. This was my first visit to a Golden Chick and I'm happy to go again.

The tender strips were exactly that, but they were small. My mom thoroughly enjoyed the chicken salad. I was surprised by how much the funnel cake--also small--tasted like its fair-based counterpart. The frozen dessert machine was working that day, too; and it was producing a flavorful chocolate confection.

Personally I don't like strong salty foods. But my family likes. Fresh sides, grilled chicken and crispy fried chicken and rolls. Many side to pick. I gave 4 stars for too much saltiness. Otherwise good and nice menus.

Cathy at the register was very professional and a wonderful person! She toke my order in an outstanding fashion and in a very well manner!

Had to go inside after picking up my order at the drive through. They had not put my rolls in and 1 of my family sides. When I got home they had shorted me 2 rolls. Not a big deal, but the point is to give me my complete order to begin with.

Food is fresh and good. I was frustrated when i had a plastic bag of watery gravy though. I poked a hole in the bag and squirted it out like a pastery bag. If it's that thin put it in a seperate container or don't skimp on the gravy and use less water.

It seems the kids that were working at Golden Chick in Ballinger were afraid they were gonna have to do some extra work. The guy in front of me spilled ice cream in the tray of the machine and the young man that was working came out, flipped the machine around and turned it off. He had just handed me 2 cones so he knew I was getting ice cream. I got one cone filled and the other not filled because he turned it off when I walked first cone back to table. My husband went to fill it and the kid told him no more ice cream because people are making a mess with it. I mean, really? Spills are going to happen and since you are an employee of the establishment it is part of your job to clean them up.

They seen understaffed during lunch rush, 20 minutes for an order, missed my catfishbut gave me a brownie and an extra okra by mistake. I didnt want to bother the staff as they were over whelmed as it was. Def needed more help

Food was good. I would have left a higher review if not for the service. Lady who took order had a very bad attitude. She was also talking on the phone, which she seemed more interested in doing than her actual job. I later went to ask for a water cup, she ignored my hand and slammed it on the counter. Later when she was cleaning the eating area, she went to trash can and instead of putting trash in the can, she threw it on the floor. My family and I were EXTREMELY unhappy with her service.

Customer service was not good. My daughter was not allowed to choose 2 sides with a meal deal (as per the menu) because she opted for a cup of water as her drink option. The woman behind the counter was very abrasive and rude insisting that a cup of water is equivalent in value to a 30 Oz fountain drink. When I told her that we would just have a fountain drink since we were being charged for it, she was very irritated that she would have to re-enter the food choice into her register system. (Even though she changed nothing). We will not return. Well done small-town management.

Asked for seet tea basically got sugar water and then my gravy was literally just water. Like worst experience I have had. Not including the green beans tasted like they where old.

After spending 16 hours moving to the Ballinger area, my husband and I decided to grab something quick locally. After looking on Google we both agreed that Golden Chick was where we would go our first night officially in town. Google list the hours of operation as 10:30- 10:00pm but when we arrived at 8:30 they seemed agitated that we came inside to dine in rather than go through the drive through. After we ordered we watched one of the employees lock the doors at 8:51pm far from the 10:00pm listed on google. We got our food but were informed that they were making more rolls and they would be brought to us. After finishing our food we still had not received our rolls so when I asked if we could just get them to go I was asked if I wanted them to cook them first. What am I supposed to do take home raw rolls and cook them myself??. Not a great first impression and I can say that unfortunately this will be the first and last time I step foot in this establishment

Same as the other review, had me drive thru the drive thru again, just to tell me it would be another 5 mins on the tenders., while that happened the customer that was in front of me left. This gurl is very rude, and definitely looks like she should shower. Second time here, and it will be my last. It’s a shame, because Golden Chicks elsewhere are good.

Their "Spicy chicken strips" were chicken strips with seasoning all over them. They had two TV's, one you can't change the channel from Fox news and the other has no sound. So why even have them? Staff seemed more concerned with having a good time to care about customers.

Got a kids meal...per menu board it states it comes with roll and cookie. But all we got was her chicken leg and some old fries. But I have to say the employee at the window was extremely polite and friendly!

Ballinger Texas. This was the nastiest restaurant I've ever been in. The door, drink machines, tables, and windows were all dirty and greasy, food crumbs on the floors and tables. Some kinda greasy batter on the napkin dispenser. An employee picked up condiments off the nasty foor and put them back in the dispenser. The chicken taste weird, okra was old and chewy, the gravy was lumpy and taste like it had been reheated. The fries were ok. This place was gross. Very disappointed for a $67 purchase. Never again.

Called before we left Wall, Tx after my son’s basketball game to confirmed hours. We went in at 8:36 and were told we could order to go but we’re not allowed to order to dine in. Based on the reviews ( I wished I read earlier) seems to be a similar experience to many others. We chose to leave and go support another business.

Review is based on several visits, not just one bad experience. I have been the only person in the drive-thru and waited 20+ minutes (at the speaker and at the window) to order without ever getting service and having to go elsewhere 3 times in the past 4 months. Twice, we were able to order in the drive-thru then waited while the manager had an extensive conversation with someone at the window, second time was over 20 minutes, with our food sitting in the window that obviously came out cold. Mind you, the person in front of us did not even order, just pulled directly to the window to chat while we were completing our order. Today, my husband and daughter tried to go into the lobby to eat and the doors were locked; no note on the doors. He could see people inside and an employee said something to the manager, who then looked at him then walked to an employee only door and tried to hang a note up saying the lobby was closed due to short staff; never hanging anything on the main entrance. So, despite standing in the cold for over 10 minutes, tried to go thru the drive-thru then waited for 10 minutes with nobody taking their order. We will not be back.

Just thought the past 3 experiences I have had with this location deserves some attention. The wait is almost as long as dining in someplace. Young girl at the window is rude, always. She also doesn't wear her hair up, looks like she hasn't showered in a few days, and her makeup looks old and smeared on her face. Every single time, something in my order is missing. Finally called back today when I noticed I was missing some food and told them I need a refund for the missing items. Once again, rude and unapologetic. To top it off, right after I get off the phone, I bite into the funnel cake; hard as a rock! It was literally inedible. Unprofessional from start to finish.

I made a phone call and was going to order and the woman that I talked to was arguing with me about my order . She told me that they had NO specials and that I needed to make up my mind because what I usually order was not even on the menu . This was Monday March 5th at around 3pm. I did not argue with her because she was being very condescending and I was not going to argue with her. I told her thank you for her help and hung up . I did not make an order and I am so sorry for the inconvenience that I caused her . I know what I used to order and she was adamant that I was wrong so I let it go . We are a small town with limited fast food resources and golden chick is one of my favorites but I will not be going back in because of that experience and I really am sorry for that for me and the franchise.

We went to eat after church and spent $30 for three people. The grandson ran out of the little gravy that was given and when we asked for more , we were told it would be $2.19 for a little more gravy. That is ridiculous and will not be going back!!

They gave us white water instead of gravy on new years eve. They also gave us a bag of wet food. It seemed as though they actually poured water in the bag. We were actually very kind to the drive through worker as we know what it can be like to work new years eve. Very negative experience all around. I hope the issues are resolved for future customers as we are no longer customers of this location.

Order a six piece extra spicy and ended up getting plan. tenders and jalapeño poppers looked raw . and service is bad don’t even call out ur number just leaves on the counter.
