Mendoza Cafe Bandera Reviews
First time here and I will DEFINITELY be returning. I had a ground beef chimichanga with rice and beans and the chimichanga had the most delicious white sauce (with jalapeno or cilantro or something not sure) but it was wonderful!!! Rice was best Mexican rice I’ve had and beans were so delicious. Over all A+++++ !!
The beef Caldo was really good. Nice hot bowl of soup on a cold day like today. Didn't receive the best service, but the food was good!
Food very good, service was outstanding,
We will be going back... food was great and service also...cant believe its been here 10 years and this was the first time we went...a new favorite spot for us
We moved to pipe creek about 5 years ago. Been going into bandera for things and found this gem. Great food and service. Reasonable prices. 😁👍
Nice family run place. Very good fajitas and tacos. Would go again 😊 Kids loved breakfast for dinner and enjoyed experiencing their first pork chop too! They also have delicious homemade corn and flour tortillas. My kids said the corn tortillas were the best.
Great food and a great family!!! Love them both. We eat there 3 or 4 times a week. ❤️👍
Some of the best food in town love this place and they have really good prices
I came here three years ago and I wasn't a fan. But I decided to give it another chance, and I think this is now my new favorite mexican restaurant in town. Their cheese steak burrito was the best burrito I've had in town, and I will be back again soon. My daughter is really picky (she's 8), and she loved their rice and beans. She also said it was the best rice and beans in town.
This is a great place for food. Some of my family were visiting and we needed an inexpensive place for all of us. The price of the dishes is very reasonable and the quality is great! If I have one complaint, it's the chips but otherwise it was very good. I had the Carnitas and was shocked at the quantity of food on my plate for $10. I had to take half of it home 😊. The salsa is wonderful and the service is great! I highly recommend this place.
We went for breakfast based on reviews both corn and flour handmade fresh Tortillas just like my grandma used to make heavily stuffed with ur choices big tacos Barbacoa was perfect not fatty or greasy flavor was on point ( I’m very picky) service was friendly and fast salsa fresh homemade red and green chips were just ok not to my liking... but overall OMG FOOD WAS DELICIOUS WE got Barbacoa taco on flour, bean cheese with extra crispy bacon and cheese taco on corn,a potato, egg cheese strip crispy bacon also a cheese taco on flour, and a chorizo and bean taco on flour and a huevos rancheros plate YUMMY coffee was equally delicious as well we will be back if in the area!
Great service with a homey feeling. Food and orices are good. Tried Jacalito restaurant but this food is tastier and aunthentic Mexican food. The tables and everyone was following social distancing.
The food here was not bad, portion size was great, cost is reasonable, it looks like they might be doing some remodeling but are open for business.
The onion rings were fantastic. The rest was OK. We had just had a burger boy meal recently and the shake was very subpar comparatively. My spicy chicken was dry and so was my wife's. It was fun to try.
Didn't seem up to snuff. We all got the American breakfast. Served plenty of eggs and hash brown but bacon and toast were disappointing. Came with only one piece of bacon, it was cooked to perfection but think maybe it should had at least two pieces. And there was one piece off dry toast. We asked for butter and a raggedy squeeze bottle of Parkay was brought to table. We asked for jelly. Ilused squeeze bottle of jelly but lid was gunked up and we had to screw the lid off. We came at my suggestion but it was disappointing. Coffee refill was offered as we got up to leave. Things have been great in the past but after this trip it might be awhile before I return.
Poor service uncooked cheese enchiladas, server wasn't pleasant and price was outrageous.
