Después de encontrar cerrado el Japonés que íbamos a comer ,empezamos a caminar y nos sentamos en la càtedra. Un poco incrédulos nos aventuramos a pedir el menú del dia y nos atendió un camarero muy simpático que nos comentó que nos iríamos con un buen sabor de boca . Y resultó así. Un arroz caldoso buenísimo, entrecot de primera calidad y una merluza a la marinera fresca y sabrosa. Por ultimo decir que volveremos, esas fueron las palabras que le comunicamos al camarero, siempre atento y seguro de los que estaba vendiendo .

Fuimos esta semana a cenar con unos amigos al restaurante. Pedimos unas tapas que estaban riquísimas, un entrecot a su punto con patatas caseras y una paella de marisco. Todo estaba muy rico!!! Gracias y volveremos para probar más cosas 😋😋 muy atentos los camareros!!

These people went out of their way to accommodate 16 of us for dinner. The food was fantastic and very good value and they were really flexible with what we needed / wanted. Smaller groups of us have also been there on other evenings and it couldn't have been better. A really good, authentic bar with a wide range of great tapas.

We stumbled across this is a fabulous little restaurant while in Barcelona for MWC21. We had the best paella here! The service was not particularly fast, but the food was fresh and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend you give Restaurante La Cátedra a try!

Muy buen sitio para tomar un menú. Precio económico con alta calidad. Un sitio acogedor y de oferta amplia. Los camareros super simpáticos y profesionales. 100%recomendable. Además, en un día tan señalado como Sant Jordi, tienen el local decorado con la temática de la rosa y el libro, es solo un pequeño detalle pero muy significativo de que quieren que te sientas cómodo.

The service and the atmosphere was excellent. Our waiter was polite and professional. The food was underwhelming though. The tiramisu is store bought, the crema a la catalana was mediocre and the fries of the Catedra hamburger were inedible. Apart from that, all was Ok. I see this restaurant has a 3.8 star rating and I say this is quite fair. I give it 3.8 stars myself.

I'm surprised to find this place with a rating below 4. While the food is decent, there is room for improvement when it comes to their bagels and bread. Additionally, the odor of the ice is a bit fishy (i think it is because of the ice). However, considering the value for money, I would consider this place as an acceptable option. It may not be my top choice, but if the need arises, I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again.

Es un bar sencillo de tapas. Pedimos bravas, calamares, tortilla de patatas y verduras. Las tortillas estaban buenas y bien cocinadas (no estaban crudas por dentro) y los calamares también estaban correctos. Las bravas no destacaban. El servicio fue rápido y amable. Estuvimos en la terraza de fuera y se estaba bien. Le pongo una nota baja porque el día que fuimos un baño no funcionaba y el otro estaba en pésimas condiciones. No es culpa del restaurante, pero si solo funciona un baño la limpieza debería hacerse con más frecuencia.

La comida muy buena y la atención de los empleados cordial y amable. Lo único que me molesta muchísimo cada vez que voy, es tenerme que entretener en pelar las patatas fritas de la guarnición. Me da mucho asco ver patatas sin pelar en el plato, y todavía más comérmelas.

El restaurante es muy bonito, todo está bien, la atención, los servicios, etc. Pero lo principal de un restaurante es la comida buena Y ES JUSTO LO QUE LE FALTA A ESTE RESTAURANTE. Me pedí una simple hamburguesa de pollo y me lo entregaron con la carne casi sin hacer y las patatas frías, le dije que me hiciera un poco más la carne u me dio la hamburguesa como si la hubieran manoseado mucho, y encima a un trozo de la hamburguesa (estaba partida por la mitad) le habían quitado el queso y todo lo que tenía, osea que solo tenia la hamburguesa y el pan, espero que mejoren el tema de la cocina por qué no me ha gustado mucha la verdad...

The restaurant has gambling machines in the middle of the room, ruining the atmosphere. To our drinks, we got a mix of soft and crispy, salty chips. We had Burgers which are accompanied by Salad and Fries. The Fries were soft and unsalted, the Salad was without any seasoning, as blank as putting Salad, tomatoes, paprika and corn in a bowl. The burger meat was raw. We asked if they could re-fry the fries, which they did, but they returned them only after we were done with our meal. They have English, Spanish and Catalan Menues and we were able to order in English.

Realmente está en el centro, si bien se paga la ubicación. Mejor espera en la mesa, porque en la barra, aunque estés esperando 5 minutos para conseguir un café y por falta de espacio, no habrá manera. Al menos la calidad del café era aceptable. Sería bueno poner las taburetes. No iría mal un cambio de imagen puesto que es igual que hace 15 años.

La experiencia no fue buena. El camarero (el bajito que lleva gafas) tuvo una actitud desagradable y poco profesional, lo que hizo que el trato fuera incómodo desde el principio. Además, pedí una tortilla con cebolla y aun así me la sirvieron sin cebolla, algo bastante básico en hostelería. Una pena, porque estos detalles arruinan la visita. No creo que vuelva.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this experience was so bad that I felt like I had to. The food wasn’t tasty at all — the shrimp was spoiled and I couldn’t eat it. The older waiter was extremely rude, especially to tourists. The service was terrible. He was so rude that I couldn’t even ask why the bill was higher than the prices on the menu, because he didn’t speak English and kept shouting. I was honestly afraid he would start yelling at me, so I just ate, paid, and left. A horrible experience overall. & Normalmente no escribo reseñas, pero esta experiencia fue tan mala que sentí que debía hacerlo. La comida no estaba rica, el camarón estaba en mal estado y no pude comerlo. El camarero mayor fue muy grosero, especialmente con los turistas. El servicio fue pésimo. Fue tan grosero que ni siquiera pude preguntar por qué la cuenta era más alta que los precios del menú, porque no hablaba inglés y gritaba todo el tiempo. Sinceramente, tuve miedo de que me gritara, así que simplemente comí, pagué y me fui. Una experiencia horrible en general.

The restaurant ambience and service was pretty good but the food SUUUUUCKED. I should have listened to the reviews… I have never ever had a blander burger in my life. Chef, listen up, SPICES exist and they make food taste GOOD. If you’re not going to mix your mince with some crushed garlic and flavourings, use.. ANY spices. Try garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, SOME SALT, and black pepper as the base for ALL your burgers and then you can add other spices if you want to create unique flavours for different burgers. Even the fries didn’t have salt — just a really sad waste of money for my last day in Barcelona. I should have just gone to bed hungry. Very disappointed.

If you are a tourist, don’t go! A man was super unfriendly and they don’t speak English and tried you to order menu. We were three and we wanted to share different foods but the guy misunderstood us and thought only two people eat and he wanted to took away plate from one Person. Even if two people want to eat what is the problem. We simply left and maybe foods are good but the service is really poor.
