Laksa Barcelona Reviews
This was amazing. I'd just been to Malaysia a few weeks prior. Fancied something halal that wasnt a kebab. I tried something different that I'd never had. The duck and rice, just beautiful. I wanted more, but I needed to be able to walk. The satay chicken, wonderful. Had the lemon and lychee drink. That was so good too. I had 2, one to go. The service was excellent, friendly, helpful, welcoming. 10/10. Thank you
Whether you are new to Malaysian food or have had it before, this restaurant is a great choice. I recommend the duck dishes, especially the crispy duck. Also lemon and honey chicken is delicious, as well as the veggie curry (a little spicy). Generous portions will satisfy everyone, or you can share them easily if you are not that hungry.
After 10 days of eating mostly Western food, as Asians (Indonesian), we were really craving rice, chili, and spice—and this Malaysian restaurant in Barcelona was the perfect find! It also happened to be my birthday, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors that truly hit the spot. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home, even though we were far away. It was the perfect combination of comfort and celebration. Highly recommended for anyone missing the taste of Asia in Barcelona!
I LOVE the food here, especially the fried duck. Really, really, really recommend it for anyone who loves curry and rice(well, or anyone who love food.). The curry yellow noodles, which the waiter recommended, was SUPERB. Although not very spicy(for me), was very very very good. 200,000 cheers for the yellow noodles! If anyone doesn’t come, they’ll miss their only chance.
The food was really delicious. I had my favorite laksa, although it was a bit spicy. The Malaysian “teh tarik” was also very good. The prices were reasonable and the dishes were tasty. The only thing is that the dessert I ordered looked a bit different from the picture on the menu, but it still tasted good.
We stopped here in a Friday night randomly to see what it was like, and we were very pleasantly surprised. The staff were very warm and welcoming and the menus had a LOT of options! We ordered some stuff that seemed good and asked for recommendations which were great. Lots of vegetarian options too. Really good value for money, we had plenty to eat and a beer each and spent €22 per person.
I visited Malaysia Restaurant on Saturday, and it was an incredible experience! The customer service was excellent— the staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The food was a highlight of the evening: everything was freshly cooked and tasted absolutely amazing. Each dish was packed with rich, authentic flavors, and it was clear that great care had been taken in the preparation. On top of that, the portions were very generous, and the prices were fantastic for the quality and quantity of food offered. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was another standout feature. The interior is beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting space to enjoy a meal. Overall, I highly recommend Malaysia Restaurant. It’s the best place for Halal Malaysian food in Barcelona.
What a delicious meal we had! Important to add that dishes are very very generous and extremely tasty plus amazing prices. Highly recommend ordering the lunch menu which includes entrants, main dish, accompanying dish, dessert and beverage. Attention was also great from a very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will be back.
This is the best Malaysian Restaurant in Barcelona and probably the best one in Europe! 3 courses and a drink for €22.90 is an amazing price and it's authentic Malay food with generous food portions. If you like Malaysian / Thai food then you need to come here. The place was full on a weekday with people waiting outside to get a table, which shows you how good this place is. I loved every dish that was served to me.
Hands down one of the best Halal places I’ve been to. The place has exceptional service with all the staff being extremely generous and welcoming. I enjoyed every dish I ordered from the tender chicken Satay to the coconut duck dish with Jasmine rice. The portions are huge and I’d recommend to share it to enjoy lots of dishes. Highly highly recommend this place for extremely authentic Malaysian food
Absolutely amazing food and such a variety. My husband and I had the mixed buffet and it was honestly way more than we anticipated but it went down a treat. The staff were attentive and helpful and explained each dish as it came out. If in Barcelona visiting then I would highly recommend you give this a go!
Acogida y trato amable y correcto. Local algo viejo, pero bien cuidado y conservado. El lavabo funcional. Hasta aquí el local. Ambiente acogedor y tranquilo y servicio atento y puntual. Y lo mejor: la comida. Amplio y variado menúvde deliciosos platos. Precio moderado.
They have really tasty food with standout dishes like the fried duck with curry sauce that was excellent. The service was attentive and friendly. The lighting was quite strong for an evening dinner, which affected the atmosphere a bit. Overall great flavours and will probably return next time.
Lived in Kuala Lumpur for 4yrs. Anything that has a 4.7 Stars I would want to try. But this would be a miss. Feels like a Malaysian Government restaurant because they had to promote Tourism. This is not Char Kway Teow just the noodles alone. And even tho I ordered it without Shrimp and onions they still added it. The Roti was a Paratha
I ordered Gado Gado (Indonesian vegetable salad), which isbsupposed to be a fresh summer dish, but it was practically swimming in oil, so I couldn't finish it. The staff was very defensive about it. Their excuse: 'our sauce is not fresh but comes from a container so there is nothing we can do about it.' No substitute was offered and I was charged the full price. I'm definitely not going back.
