Fue una cafeteria que encontramos una amiga y yo el año pasado y.. sencillamente nos encantó. Es pequeñito, acogedor, y nos tomamos una infusion para dos super artesanal riquisimo. Ayer, despues de un año, fuimos expresamente mi amiga y yo a recordar ese momento agradable. Y tuvimos la misma sensación que hace 1 año: de 10!. Ademas, los Sardos que hacen estan muyyy buenos.

Este lugar es un tesoro. Ambiente acogedor, se respira mucha calma. El personal fue muy servicial y dinámico, nos ayudaron enseguida a acomodarnos y nos hicieron buenas recomendaciones del menú. La comida es casera, fusión árabe y mediterránea. Nos explicaron que los Sardos son invento suyo: pan árabe con relleno mediterráneo (ya que el dueño es italiano). Para chuparse los dedos. El té de menta me recuerda al que tomé en Egipto. De postre tienen un amplio surtido de baklavas. Nos encantó. Volveremos sin duda

Es un lugar pequeño y muy acogedor. Ambientado con temática del Oriente Medio, su comida sorprende con una combinación de entrada exótica pero una vez que llegan los platos a tu mesa sus especias y combinación de sabores crean una experiencia agradable para tu paladar. Nosotras hemos pedido el dardo clásico y el de pesto, son una especia de pita muy delgada y dorada, rellena de varios ingredientes. Muy rico todo y el servicio excelente, siempre pendientes. Considera que al ser pequeño se llena mucho y tal vez tengas que esperar

Simply delightful. We were looking for something different and more veggie forward and found Salterio. We had to wait 40 min for it to open, but well worth it. The grilled eggplant app was delicious, but the Sardos are the main attraction. The closest thing I could compare it to is a Mediterranean quesadilla, but a totally different flavor profile. We had the four seasons, which is spinach, tomato, olives, mushrooms and cheese, in a crispy, thin pita-ish crust, layered with wonderful Mediterranean sauces. We did not partake of the tea menu, but it was impressive. The place is down a tiny street and the venue is very small, but very cozy. The waiter behind the bar also made all the food behind the bar. Great experience overall and well worth it.

Super cute place, prides themselves as a tea house but also offer great range of food, mainly "sardo" (stuffed flatbreads with assortment of fresh vegetables and cheese, drizzled with tahini and pesto). Amazing selection of freshly brewed spiced herbal tea (Remedio being our fav); quaint, intimate space, great for conversations. Love the bar seat for the view into the kitchen. It's so great we visited twice in a row before leaving Barcelona.

The Salterio is a little treasure of a tea house, located discreetly in the Gothic Quarters. It is located in one of the narrow streets in this quarter and a must visit place. Mateo is the very welcoming, calm, relaxed host and he prepares any one of the many different teas to select from with fresh, aromatic ingredients. He also prepares any one of the delicious choices from the food selection, with loving care, fresh ingredients and lots of positive, uplifting vibes. From the moment you enter this enchanting cavern, you are whisked away to another time, where time stood still, and you can forget about the busy nature of modern life for a few hours of memorable Barcelona nostalgia, charming stories of adventure and discovery (when you engage with Mateo) and a lovely choice of seldom heard, eclectic music carefully and personally chosen by Mateo. As life-long tea drinkers, the Salterio was worth every step we took to discover it. But be careful, if you are using google maps to locate it, you could easily miss it as it’s a hidden gem. So look for it carefully with your own eyes and you won’t regret it 🙂

Absolutely phenomenal vegetarian restaurant, with 'Sardo' flatbread mains, packed with veg and cheese. Would 100% recommend to meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Very cute atmosphere and decor with lovelly staff and service as well. Would suggest the yoghurt for a lighter dessert :)

We found this place when walking late and looking for a small cozy bar to have a drink in. Turned out this great place is a tea house but also serves great foods and various drinks. It's my favorite tea place in Barcelona. Nice servers and seems to be a rare local unknown place so far. White wine sangria, vermouth, and eggplant salmorillo was excellent.

Took a chance. The delicious aroma as we passed by is what made us interested. The reviews were great. 4.7 I ordered the vegetable Sardo. Mushrooms, spinach, onions, eggplant, walnuts, cheese on Lebanese bread. Huge portion. Delicious. Could not eat all of it.

I love giving 5 star reviews and this one is a 10!!! We came in for wine after eating at a rare 1 star review restaurant nearby a few nights ago. I was a bit overheated from the sun today so the Golden Milk tea was just what my body needed. I've never experienced such a blend of spices and cheeses. We ordered eggplant tapa, vegetal Sardo and Mushroom Sardo. Ambience was perfect with nice quiet music in the background. The 2 men working were very welcoming and the food came fairly quickly. Highly Recommended.

Superb. The best veggie-vegan place I have been to, so far. Absolutely beautifully tasting food, generous portions and very good service. But the food, the food... It's great. I am not vegetarian by the way. We had one bomba de la barceloneta and mezze platter to share, after that two mains, the green, oats risotto and lasagne. The house wine was pretty decent, honestly, I would have it a again next time.

El Sitio me sorprendió, la comida es deliciosa! es lugar es lindo bastante pequeño y ese dia había una reunión como de 15 Chicas que incomodaban un poco a los demás asistentes, pero luego sé fueron y estuvo mejor, es una linda experiencia porque para llegar caminas por las calles del barrio gótico, en la carta te ponen que hay q tener paciencia porque los platos tardan un poquito así que super que lo avisen, seria cool que las camareras puedan comunicarse también y saludar con una sonrisa, tal vez estaban estresadas por el movimiento. Pero en general super!

Sitio muy pequeño pero siempre lleno de gente. Me gusta el estilo y la atención a los detalles, hemos pedido una berenjena y un sardo para compartir entre 3 personas, cantidad justa si no tienes mucha hambre. La comida nos ha sorprendido por sus sabores no obstante su simplicidad!! Seguro volveré!! Recomendado!

Walked in here wanting a place to drink some tea, rest my feet and get away from the heat. This is indeed the place that fulfills those needs. As soon as you walk in, it feels very cozy, intimate and cool. It is not so well lit to preserve the feeling that u are in a cave. There is an English and Spanish menu that is very helpful. The people who work at the cafe are extremely nice. The service may be bit slow since there are only 2-3 staff forbthe entire place. This is a place to relax and where u can take your time and not be in a rush. The bathroom and sink are located in a side room that is very dark. However, there is a switch to turn on the light. The flush on the toilet doesn't work. You need to pull up on the tin can on top of the toilet tank to flush it. Don't let the restroom and toilet prevent you from visiting this cafe. It's a diamond in the rough...Just be aware, they don't accept credit cards..CASH ONLY!!

Me he criado en Ciutat Vella, he visto cambiar el local de dueños y ver como ha cambiado de ser una tetería con pastas árabes y música de autor en vivo con mezcla de culturas para visitarlo recientemente donde el local no ha perdido su encanto, pero se ha orientado mucho al turismo. Ahora preferiblemente hacer reserva. Por 2 copas de vino y el plato de berenjenas con el pan de pita pagamos 25 euros. En cierto modo pagas por el entorno, el ambiente, pero la calidad-precio, con tanta oferta de restaurantes en la zona es un poco alta. No se justifica. He venido a Salterio desde hace más de 12 años, cuando vivía en el Gótico, y siempre lo consideré un lugar especial: casero, cálido y con un ambiente que te hacía sentir en casa. La cocina de la señora, el trato y la esencia eran parte de su magia. Sin embargo, en los últimos años el restaurante ha cambiado bastante. El sabor sigue siendo bueno, pero algunas recetas ya no mantienen ese toque original. Y, sobre todo, los precios se han disparado: subir 2 a 2.5 € cada año a platos como la ensalada o SARDO —que hace años costaba 6 € y ahora vale 14 €— ha convertido un sitio accesible en algo casi exclusivo. También echo en falta un trato más amable. El encargado con gafas y bigote suele responder con cierta prepotencia cuando uno hace preguntas sencillas, y eso afecta mucho la experiencia. Ojalá el lugar recupere esa esencia que lo hacía tan único: buena comida, precios razonables y ese trato cercano que siempre fue su sello. Solo les importa el turismo y precios irracional por el tipo de productos.
