Al Portico Restaurant Bardonecchia Reviews
We had dinner on January 24th, a party of nine. The Italian cuisine was prepared with regional products from Piedmont. The quality of the dishes was unanimously praised by all nine of us. The service was professional, and we were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional discount on the bill. Well done!
At Il Portico, the atmosphere is intimate and familiar, enhanced by a discreet elegance. Each dish is a small work of art: from the superb Fassona beef tartare to the tagliatelle with ragù, to the tender and flavorful wild boar morsels with polenta. The chef's creative dessert concludes the meal with a touch of originality and refined flavor. The service is impeccable: kindness, attentiveness, and warmth distinguish every gesture from the waiters, with special thanks to the young waiter for his friendliness and infectious smile. I also appreciated the humility and courtesy of the woman at the register, which contributes to the welcoming and authentic feel of the place. The chef kindly explained how the Fassona beef tartare is prepared fresh, demonstrating great passion for detail and the freshest ingredients. Il Portico is the perfect place for those seeking refined flavors, passion in the kitchen, and a convivial experience that feels like home.
Excellent food and service. Speak good english. Highly recommended
Great place for a real Italian pizza and atmosphere. Highly recommended :)
We ordered farinata (it’s naturally vegan and gf) and marinara pizza 🍕. Two vegan options and both delicious! Really friendly service 🌞 It’s a wee bit pricey eating in but it’s as expected :)
The best place to eat in Bardonecchia. Fantastic service and great food. Very friendly staff. Ask for the Calzone Diavola. Was delicious if you like a little spice.
Very good and tasty pizza, and at a good price. One of the few places you can actually get lunch in Bardoneccia apparently without needing to book beforehand, we turned up and only had to wait a few mins for a table, at 1 o'clock!
I arrived in resort today and happened upon this lovely restaurant. These guys are working so hard to grow the business and are all young and full of enthusiasm. They were friendly and engaging, the pizza was second to none and vino blanco, Roero Arneis, was dry full bodied (LOCAL) and not to be missed. An honest review from a tight Yorkshire Man who appreciates value for money, but who does not compromise on quality. Hope you get to enjoy this spot, its well worth a visit.
Thank you for a great farinata!
Booked at noon for a Sunday evening and got a place outside, facing the main street. We wanted to order a pizza with burrata, a focaccia with lardo and some chiacchere with mozzarella di bufala, but were advised against by the waitress, since the chiacchiere was a big portion. And it was! We finally ordered pizza with burrata and chiacchiere and it was very good! Dough was soft and won't make you thirsty afterwards and fried chiacchiere were much enjoyable. Pizza + chiacchiere + big water + beer + coffee = €35 Strongly advised!
Excellent pizzeria in the center of Bardonecchia, under the arcades and across from Despar. We've been there several times over the summer and always had great food. The farinata and the sharing platters are excellent, with top-quality ingredients and well-cooked, easy-to-digest pizzas. Don't miss the fried pasta, available in both sweet and savory versions! Reasonable prices. The staff is young, professional, friendly, and helpful. Excellent, we'll be back again!
The pizza was very 😋🤤. We ordered salsiccia and capriciossa. Outdoor sitting is available. No delay in serving the food. Good wine from Torino.
Very nice place and friendly and helpful staff. What I wasn't convinced by was the food. We ordered farinata and pizzas. The farinata was raw inside, and my pizza (sausage = Margherita + Sausage) had a strange flavor. I wasn't convinced by the sausage because it didn't taste good and tasted like spoiled sausage. Otherwise, it was fine.
Ok
More than 40 minutes for the pizzas, about 15 for dessert, given that we'd arrived about an hour before closing time, and the place was almost empty. It should also be noted that despite there being several empty tables inside, due to the dogs, we were seated at tables outside—a small table, incidentally, purposely separated from another. They could have been pushed together, allowing for more space, especially considering the fact that we were using the same four paper placemats, not tablecloths or anything else. The pizza was average, nothing special. The draft beer was good.
