Pizza al Poggio Bari Reviews
Very good
a new discovery
The gluten-free pizza is amazing, thin and light! It's prepared in a separate station, away from the gluten-free pizzas, and it arrived with the other pizzas, which almost never happens to me. Thank you for making me feel like everyone else ❤️ The ingredients are also high-quality, you can see and taste it! And the staff is very kind and qualified. I'll be back soon! 😍

Excellent pizza, top-quality ingredients. I came for the fig pizza, but unfortunately they didn't have any. However, I had an equally excellent pizza with fig mustard.

Nice place, albeit small, with an outdoor seating area. The pizza is excellent (even the gluten-free one). The service is good, but can get confusing when the place is busy (we were served a pizza with different toppings than we requested. They apologized and fixed it right away).

Pizzeria located in the older Poggiofranco area. The place is quite small, with limited seating, many of which are outdoors. When we arrived (four people, with reservations), we waited 10 minutes before being seated, which was acceptable. It's 10:00 PM. As soon as we were seated, we were almost forced to get water... Okay. Then, within 30 seconds, we were asked twice if we wanted fries while we waited; we said yes out of desperation. Water and fries, and off we went, we'd already spent €8 without knowing how. The pizzas arrived; nothing to complain about, really good. Once the pizzas were (almost) finished, the problems IMMEDIATELY began: - Our friend still had some pizza on her plate, the waiter decided she was finished and tried to clear her plate, and we pointed out that we hadn't finished yet. - Our friend still had some beer in her glass, which was also cleared before we finished, and we pointed it out again. - After a minute of clearing the table, they came to ask if we wanted dessert, and we said no. - After another minute, they brought us the bill without asking, the underlying message being YOU MUST LEAVE, all emphasized by the owner leaning against the counter, staring at us constantly. We decided to get up, again out of desperation; it wasn't even 11 PM yet, and we left less than an hour after sitting down. It was Saturday night, and people go to eat pizza with friends to relax and have an enjoyable evening. It's UNACCEPTABLE that even on a Saturday night there should be anxiety and rush after a hectic week of work. A good pizza doesn't make up for utterly inadequate and inappropriate service. If they want to accommodate more people, I advise the owners to move to a larger location so they can stop making their poor customers anxious. A TOTAL FAIL, they'll never see us again.

Paying almost €30 for two pizzas and receiving them in disappointing condition would be annoying enough, but hearing the response, "It's not our fault, goodbye" is the icing on the cake. Regardless of courier companies like Glovoo or Just Eat, my €27.50 was collected by Pizzeria Al Poggio, so they should at least apologize. And so, suddenly, my favorite pizzeria becomes a place to forget!
