The service was courteous, fast and friendly. The dining room was kept clean and the food was delicious. It was also presented well and actually looked similar to the posted advertisements. I had a great experience at this location and would recommend it to everyone because you can't beat good customer service and product!

Staff was very respectful, helpful, courteous, professional and honest. A young man, probably his 1st or 2nd day on the job as cashier went above and beyond to treat all customers with respect, but there was a family there that was not respectful to him or any of the staff. My compliments to to him and the entire staff for remaining respectful and professional to that family and all customers. Myself and my family will continue to do business with them. Just an FYI...IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT THEN YOU NEED TO GIVE RESPECT. Just finished eating here and the service given by the staff especially Serina was above and beyond. They made my experience there very enjoyable. The only problem with this review is that I cannot give SIX STARS. I love EPL and we were looking for a new stop on our way back from Vegas to LA and this came as a blessing! All the EPL awesomeness you’re used to, friendly service, lovely patrons, and clean restrooms! Also my family was always making fun of me for my love of El Pollo Loco and now they are all converts!!

I eat at Pollo Loco locations often. I have dined at this location about 10 times. By far my favorite. The food is always served hot and made fresh as the day progresses. Nothing made in advance and sitting around. This time I had the Tortilla Soup and Queso Blanca with chips. So fresh and good. All for under $10.00 including taxes. One of my all time fast food stops.!!!

Ordered the salsa verde quesadilla combo and churros. Very delicious, fresh tasting food, great quesadilla. I was especially surprised by the churros, normally at fast food places they are not great. Here they had great texture and didn't taste like last month's fry oil. No issues with the staff or inside of the place. Great experience, would return.

Unexpectedly Kind Experience Tonight After a long day of traveling, I stopped by El Pollo Loco without realizing it was right at closing time. The staff didn’t say a word about it, they took our order with a smile and let us sit down without making us feel rushed. There was no pressure, no cleaning around us, just calm and friendly service. Even after another guest came in and asked for something extra, they helped him without hesitation. Their patience and attitude really stood out. Conveniently located off the I-15 interstate. Excellently flame grilled, no grease, tasty marinade of citrusy flavor. Love their sides- corn, beans, salad especially. The food is fresh and hot. Nice clean bathrooms in the store. They have tables and booths seating. The booths are comfortable and have been freshly reupholstered. Wheelchair accessible. Give ‘em a try!

It was super busy, but the staff kept up pretty well with the chaos. The only thing was we ordered the fajita burrito and the didn't have any fajita veggies, but didn't tell us that until our order was up. Still was good

Food was very good. Sadly our order was wrong and it took 10 minutes to redo order. They seemed very busy and distracted, we were disappointed because my wife and could not enjoy our meal together.

Normally we love this place but yesterday evening when we stopped in to eat almost every table was dirty and the trash cans were all full. The restaurant was basically empty, with hungry customers just trickling in. I used a wet wipe from my purse to clean off a table so we would have a clean table to sit at and I never saw any employees cleaning off tables during our visit. We have eaten there many times before and this was the first time I have seen the restaurant so dirty. The food was excellent as always but the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail made my visit less than a five star visit. We just chocked up the messiness to a bad manager that evening. We will be back.

There are lots of places to choose from around here. Chose El Pollo because it had healthier choices. The food was good. My burrito was good size ( couldn't finish). The place was very clean and friendly staff. I deducted a star because the girl at the register was trying to sell candy bars for her managers kid.

Hadn't been to one for several years but it was just like I remembered. Great chicken, beans, rice, and tortillas. The salsa choices were a little problematic: the pico was terribly underwhelming as it was basically mashed tomatoes, the roja was OK but a little hot for me, but the avocado was probably the best. Service was outstanding. Hope to get a chance to try it again on this trip.

We eat at this location often. Food is always good. Chicken seems to always be fresh and tasty, which I think is attributed to the restaurant's proximity to I-15 and the outlet mall. Some of the other high desert locations suffer a bit from lack of business and their chicken isn't as fresh-tasting, but the Barstow location is nearly always on point. Sometimes during high traffic days the dining area gets a little dirty and at times it's hard to find a seat, but all in all I really like this location due to the quality of the chicken.

Everything was fine. Food was good and the service was fast. There was a coupon on the counter that we did not see until after we had ordered and paid. We could have saved $6 on our meal had we seen it, or if the cashier had offered it. I know its not their fault, but it made us feel like we overpaid a little bit.

Today experience it was Delicious chiken was flavorful juicy perfect cook,crisp skin salad side good salad dressing, mashed potato and gravy, mac & cheese... nice clean salsa bar,Good speed service.cashier nicer then always. Dining area is cold..but it's so cold outside.nice done 2 young guys working speed big time today.

Past experiences were better. Management plays a huge factor cause they were out of plates, ice & portions were severely disappointing. Covee ronas ruined the business now portions you only get 2 sides. Pre-covee ronas you'd get hefty amount of rice & beans + corn & mashed potatoes if you wanted corn & mashed potatoes as sides. The only good thing was they had horchata.

If you get a chance, give them a try!

The food is fresh and I feel full every time I eat at El Pollo Loco. My husband likes Mexican food more than I do. This was his choice. I ordered a chicken wrap without cilantro, which came as ordered and was fine. Unfortunately, the little salad which came with it was full of little bits of cilantro which I tried to pick out, not completely successfully. I really don't like cilantro. It would be nice to have intelligent employees who could think that a dislike of an ingredient in one food would also mean a dislike of the same ingredient in another food. It's a good thing I'm not allergic to it.

This is only the 3rd time we have ever been to a Pollo Loco. First 2 times it was FABULOUS. But this time the chicken was almost to dry to choke down 😪 Maybe it was an off day? Counter help was helpful and sweet. Bathroom smelled dirty tho.

I love El Pollo Loco but this one is a little shy of their normal standards. Tortillas were so dry they were crackly. Had to yell to get someone to take my order as the staff was busy talking and laughing in the back. Chicken was somewhat dry and the rice seemed old.

Couldn't get a wing lovers, okay so got a 2 piece meal. Not used to chicken being so under grilled, but not pink inside, so should be okay, just taste was not up to par. Couldn't find a clean table, but sat at the least dirty one we could find. Stayed for about an hour, wasn't very busy, but no one came out and wiped down any of the tables during that hour. When we left, employees were just standing behind the counter talking, also restroom needed attention. Won't be coming back to that one.

Ordered a chicken avocado burrito, got halfway through it, and realized NO AVOCADO! When I told the order taker what happened and if they ran out of avocado, he just said no, we have plenty and sorry about that. I guess that's good enough to make it all ok.

There's decent food here. The chicken seems to keep shrinking here but overall The Taste is good. The location is not so great. Unless you come in directly from in front of El Pollo Loco you don't really see where to park. We came in at the driveway entrance before the restaurant in had a hard time getting over to the actual restaurants parking lot

Same quality chicken we have come to expect from El Pollo Loco. The bowls were delicious. Unfortunately, the fountain drinks weren't working, so we were offered a can of Coke with our combo meal. We didn't fund out until we had already ordered. On a long road trip, beverages are important.

The chicken was very dry. Rice not very well flavored. Mashed potatoes ok but obviously instant. Restaurant was clean and food came out quick. For the price we paid I wish the chicken would at least have been juicy. Probably won't return.

Start with the positives first. The lady taking our order and working the drive thru window was very polite and friendly. The Dr. Pepper tasted very good. My wife liked the macaroni and cheese side she had but thought that the rest of her food was just okay. I was very disappointed in the food I received. Hard dry chicken and all of my tamale plate was just above room temperature. Some how my wife's 4 pc. plate was hot. Even her tortillas were hot and mine were cold. We only took it about 400 feet from the drive thru window to eat if it was up to temperature it should have still been warm. This was a little after 8 pm on a Tuesday.

I had to request that they needed to clean the area before they prepared my food; they were just gonna prepare my food right in top of there mess until I said something. There tables were not cleaned off from the last customers, the whole place was messy& uncleaned & unkept, I was very disappointed, because I've been wanting to try there new dipper food but it really truly awful I wouldn't recommend that restaurant to anyone, I'll never go back sorry!!!! Had the staff had better attitudes I would rate a 5 but when we asked for more salsa it was as if we were asking for a million dollars. You allow your salsa bar to be open and you are able to get all you want but because we are In A pandemic I get an attitude for more salsa. Maybe a 2 is too generous.

I have been eating at this location for a couple of years when in town. Lately the chicken has been getting smaller. The price is getting higher. My chicken was very dry, not very flavorful. They didn’t have but one of their salsas. The $20.00 an hour workers are still doing $10.00 an hour quality work. They got my order wrong. They did correct the order. The music was so loud that the other patrons had to talk even louder. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly, which isn’t the workers fault, but maybe get it fixed. All and all, to sum it up, way too expensive, below average food and service. Bad atmosphere. So disappointing.

Great service but the chicken grilled taco salads were horrible. The chicken was cold and there wasn't much of it. Two bowls cost me $23 plus. I hadn't been eating at this food chain for like this past 10 years cause the food in openion is nothing like what it used to be. So, I decided to give it another try. Man was I disappointed! Talk about being ripped off. I will most likely never eat at another one of these food chains ever again - guaranteed! Everyone has their own opinion, regarding, so it's very important to have your own experience. Happy eating out 😁

I had given this place 5 stars at one time and now I have changed it to 2 stars. I spent $40 on a family meal and received pieces that appeared to be chicken. The thighs were so flat that there was nothing but skin and bones. The chicken legs were just pitiful and looked like leg's from a Cornish hen. I'm sorry but y'all dropped the ball on this one and I'm very disappointed that this establishment which is one of my favorites would serve their customers malnutrition chicken.

We just stopped here. Usually love the food. This time, the pico de gallo was completely fermented. I told the nice gentleman behind the counter that it was fermented and needed to be thrown away. He told the manager who looked at me and said they would make more. An apology would have been nice. An offer to remake my tostado salad that they’d already put it on would have been even better. But what is unforgivable is they continued to serve the rotten stuff to all the customers who came in after us.

Forgot Tortillas and told us "it was only a dollar so it doesn't matter" called back after finding that our gravy was literally brown water. The potatoes tasted like dirty water and the rice was crunchy(undercooked) Manager on the phone was very rude and uncaring. She told us "it's just sides so it doesn't matter because the chicken is fine" why would we buy an entire meal if only the chicken would be edible?

I walked in for some dinner with my family the food was delicious chicken was amazing but there was a man who was very rude from the moment I walked in I had order guacamole and chips and didn’t receive it so I walked up and I was told he was the manager I told him I was missing these items and my drink and he had a nasty attitude I honesty didn’t believe he was a manager on how he acted he said his name was John and honestly I don’t want to come back because of him they need to get rid of him because that attitude is not good for business the cash register lady in front and the cook were very friendly hope they do something about him. John was a rude person and acted like a female wouldn’t recommend if she is working.!

We went to this location around 9:18pm to try to get some late dinner. We ask the worker if the place was closed since the sign posted outside said they were open from 10-10pm and he said YES they were open. We thought that maybe it's New Years and they might be closed earlier so we ask again and the worker said YES they are open and can take orders. So we placed our order and wanted to use the restroom to wash our hands cuz of COVID protocol. But the store manager, Elizabeth, blocked the entrance of the restroom with The trash can and said that we are not allow to use the restroom because they close at 9:00. It's confusing because the other worker stated twice that the store is still open and we already paid for our order. So we had no other options but to wait for our food without being able to wash our hands to dine in. The food came out quickly but was cold. If I'm not mistaken, this could possibly be old cooked food and who knows might even get some spit on from the manager. I believe this might be an act of prejudice against minor thinking that we do not understand the hours of operation. I believe that I was tricked by this store and was forced to consume old cooked food. I feel like I've been cheated of my consumer's right to have good customer service. I would like to have someone contact me regarding this unfortunate matter. I feel very discriminated at this location on 2820 Lenwood rd Barstow CA 92311. I think the store manager just wanted to leave early and refuse to fulfill her commitments as a ethical manager

I’ve worked in the fast industry/ customer service for years. Not sure if whoever was servicing us in the drive through was having a bad day but there is no reason for all the attitude/ eye rolls and being plain rude to my husband and I.
