My first time at Panera Bread in many many years!!!!!! And the last time I went was in California and I had a craving for a tuna melt and drove to the Panera in Garth Road Baytown (keep in mind, I pass this location almost every week when I run errands) Anyways, I decided to go inside because instead of the drive thru because I didn’t know how to explain what I was craving and prayed someone would guide me. I walked in and was immediately greeted and asked to be attended to, I felt bad because I didn’t know what I wanted and didn’t want them to waste their time looking at me while I decided. The lady, I will attach her details shortly, came and was so gentle in the voice and eyes tended to me with soooo much patience and knowledge on What she would recommend and how I should have it. (I was sooo happy 🥹) I love this service I was provided the best service courtesy of Ms Audra She made me feel at home and went above and beyond to carry my food to the table and ensured the best seat for someone dining alone was made available for me. I look forward to coming back and seeing Ms Audra and the team! They were such a happy spirit to see co workers that enjoyed what they do.

Hadn't been to a Panera in years. This place was nice. Seemed clean. Good attitudes. Friendly service. Prices are a bit high, but I won't fault them for that. The chicken bacon sandwich and Italian steak sandwich were amazing. And as always, their tomato soup was fantastic.
Our first time here and it didn't disappoint! The sandwiches and soups were so delicious! Best broccoli and cheddar soup in town! Chico was the best server! We loved his personality and he was very attentive!
I have to update my review because of my visit today! The sweetest lady with the most welcoming and happy attitude greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Her name was Audra. She was the kind of person who makes you smile, whether you want to or not. There was also another lady at the counter who told me they were out of tomatoes, but if I would like, she could cut up cherry tomatoes for the sandwich. I thought that was incredibly kind, given the fact that she could have just left it at "we are out of tomatoes." Audra tried to enter my $15 gift card 3 times, but it wouldn't go through. While entering all of those numbers over and over, she never once seemed upset or put out, her sweet attitude never changed. She ended up gifting me my sandwich because of the trouble with the gift card. She was such a blessing to me today. Every single employee that I spoke with while I was there was a blessing to me. And of course, the sandwich was AMAZING. I often go through the drive-through because I am usually in a hurry, but I highly recommend going inside to eat if you can. There are nice, cozy tables and chairs, and you also get to visit with the beautiful employees. Original review: Oh my goodness, the Chicken Fontega sandwich is absolutely delicious! This hot sandwich is one of my favorite meals! I will always choose it above any other sandwich shop. It’s hard to beat.
This is my favorite Panera - it’s the best of all the ones I’ve visited. The order takers in front are thorough and always remind you of your options for your sides. The food servers are friendly and always get our orders right. The food preparation team are good as the meals are always consistent in amount, quality, and temperature. The coffee is always good. The beverage station is well-maintained. We barely encounter any issues, if any. And the WiFi is super fast. They dining area is huge and tables get cleaned immediately. They also have a drive thru here. They do not have the self-ordering kiosks yet, but that’s ok. Some of our favorite servers here are: Michael, Kyle, and Brandon, who all do a great job.
Last 2 visits my orders were wrong or missing purchased item. Last order missing a cookie, today I asked for 2 bowls of soup with a bread bowl & a sandwich all with bread as the side. I guess it doesn't matter what customers want it seems they give you what they want. I got 1 bowl & 1 cup of soup & the side of bread for my sandwich was not included & the amount of mustard on the sandwich over powered all other ingredients. I hate that no one listens to the exact words of what is being ordered. I really think it will be a while till I go back. I would think with less customers the accuracy of the employees would be better.
It’s extremely upsetting to come in on a chilly day wanting a bread bowl, only to see a whole cart full of them while being told at the counter that they’re “out.” Seriously? If you can’t sell them after a certain time, then change the menu or post a clear notice that bread bowls aren’t available after 12 PM. It was 5:30 PM — prime dinner time — and this was incredibly frustrating. Honestly, I can see why no one is here. Also with no one here the drink station should be more presentable.
the food in this restaurant chain is very tasty, but the staff is very slow and inattentive. The salad was very roughly cut into large pieces. I also had to go myself and ask for bread, which should come by default. But they didn't bring it - the impression was spoiled. The apple was poorly washed. I hope they wash vegetables better.
I spent $22 on a half sandwich, half mac and cheese, and a bagel?? Tasted like store box mac and cheese, and the grilled cheese wasnt fully melted. Based on today, not sure how they are still in business.
In first place my order took long time because the guy told me the mc n chesse was frozen, when I get home I find out that the smaller order had the same amount of food than the large the difference was the price and the size of the bowl of course, I called and the manager never take my call.
Very rude service on the drive thru, they rush to get your order all the time. It’s no my problem the establishment is understaffed. This happens all the time at this location
I recently visited the Panera Bread location in Baytown. While I’m thankful that my food was prepared correctly, the overall experience was unfortunately affected by the conduct of the staff in the back-of-house area. During my visit, there was loud and unprofessional language, including cursing, that was clearly audible to customers. This type of behavior reflects poorly on the brand and creates an uncomfortable environment. It also appeared that management was present but did not address or correct the situation, which was disappointing. Additionally, I observed a staff member step outside to smoke and then return to handling food shortly afterward, which raised concerns regarding professionalism and food-handling standards. Panera Bread is known for a welcoming atmosphere and high standards, and this particular location would benefit from additional management oversight, staff training, and overall attention. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as this store has the potential to provide a much better customer experience.
The service was horrible the grilled cheese was disgusting. The bread was stale and they don’t have any soup and said they would t be making lunch time any. Service very bad too much slow personal no good chocolate croissant very bad and old no good
It is Wednesday,November 26 5:20pm Came in to order a salad and the cashier was nice and polite. Now the 2 lady's in the back where rude and very unprofessional talking to much mess about a person and they still treated me like I was the problem I didn't say nothing just got my brown bag and said thank you and walk away They just started laughing out loud. I am never coming back to this location I rather drive further away instead of dealing with this kind of attitude. They also threw the piece of bread in the bag just like that they did not bothered to place it in a small sack it is a side
Don’t go through the drive thru! This is the third time I’ve gone and every single time I get home I’m missing a soup and then charge me 75 dollars and then you call and they want me to bring all the food back when it’s 30 mins away. Used to love getting this when I didn’t feel well but I’ll be buying soup to make at home and save my money
Absolutely horrible experience for the 2nd time. Both times they forget part of my order. When you call they are rude. No I’m not coming back. I live over 20 minutes away from you. I think some retraining or some new hires would be the best decision. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS
2nd time at this location. Each time the bagels are almost burned and smaller than we normally get at other locations. Won't be back as they are just not good.
Drive-thru said they were “out” of what I wanted. So I DoorDashed the same order… from the same parking lot. Guess what magically appeared? The item they were “out of.” When I asked, the girl smirked like she just won a championship in laziness. And the food-prep person? Wearing gloves… while holding her phone having a whole conversation with the other hand. I guess “food safety” is just a suggestion now. No wonder there are Paneras closing left & right, customer service clocked out before the staff did.
In the drive thru line, they told me wait to order…waited for 10min staring at the speaker and she didn’t say anything. That drive thru is so ridiculous and that unprofessional staff.
I had always Ordered The cinnamon crunch bagel when the attendant pulled out the bagel and sliced it into. I looked at it. It looked flat like a tortilla. Ask her what happened. She said that corporate had changed the way the bagels look I am totally disappointed. It is flat no taste the crunch is all melted is not what it used to be so please corporate go back to your original recipe cause you’re selling something awful.
Came in @ 6:57am. Store opens at 7am. As a member of the sip club I told the person behind the counter I was only getting coffee. I was told I have to wait 8 minutes till they open. It’s now 6:59. I give a 1 star for service as it’s now 7am and I’m still waiting on coffee that I have to make myself that is sitting on the counter. Great coffee but poor service. No smile or good morning.
