Food used to taste good , but these days, I feel like the quality has lessened.

Excellent selection of entrées (my favorite is the BBQ ribs), vegetables, soups, sushi, salads, seafood, desserts, and more. They have a "hibachi grill" which is really a tepenyaki, where the patron assembles his/her plate from a good selection of vegetables, eggs, noodles, and proteins (shrimp, chicken, steak pieces, pork, and steak). The plate is cooked to order with a selection of sauces (another personal favorite)

My husband and I stopped to eat here and it was very nice there were a lot of options. I liked everything I tried. The place was clean and the people were nice so it was great for a quick bite the food's already made to you there's no wait time for your food so it was fast and that's what we needed.

After reading a lot of negative reviews we decided to still go here. You have to remember it's a buffet, not a fancy restaurant where you wait for hours for your meal. The food was good and was just like all buffets, cheap and all you can eat. We'll definitely go back, just remember it's a buffet and not a 5 star restaurant. Eat as much as you want and remember you're only paying like $13 a person.

Ate there many times but food quality was really bad.Tasted and I'm not the person in the house that pitches about every Lil thing.Oh...the fried crabs have gotten down to no alleged meat on them.Just to an almost crisp leg. Really.Gonna be hard to keep help here cause customers that are unhappy tip accordingly.

So disappointed in China Star today. It was freezing cold in there! Caused food on buffet to get cold very fast. We normally like it here, but today was not a good day for them. Every worker/waitress had heavy coats on. Felt sorry for them having to work in those conditions. My husband and I decided we won't go back again till the weather is much warmer. Sad to say.

Have eat here before and it was good but this time the food on the buffet was on the cold side. Waitress was on top of taking away the plates. The bathrooms are clean. The hibachi was closed due to covid. Not sure what that is about. Follow me for more reviews!!!!

There is plenty of food, but the food choice that I ate didn't seem to be cooked properly. The staff is very pleasant & nice to talk to. The general appearance of the eating area is pretty clean. The soft drinks have the proper carbonation. The staff is constantly refilling the food & cleaning the food area. The lighting is a bit dark, but you can still see your food. The men's & women's restroom is in need of a good cleaning & better lighting. There are more English speaking staff at this location than other buffets of this nature, which is refreshing. The decor is nice, but lends itself to slightly imitate a Mexican restaurant.

Every meat I tried was extremely dry and hard. Everything else was extremely bland. There are maybe 2 or 3 token Chinese working there, the rest seem to be Hispanic. I dont expect an authentic experience but for $45 for 2 I expect the food to taste better. Yummy Buffet in Lumberton is so far ahead of this joint in food quality, and cost only $25 for 2.

You pay first. Everyone smiles at you. Food is nasty and cold. If you ask to speak to the manager...they just don't care. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

I visited your restaurant recently, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. Most of the dishes were cold, unappetizing, and, frankly, inedible. My children usually eat anything, and even they refused to eat the food. The grill station, in particular, was unacceptable. My meal tasted burnt, with an overpowering charred flavor, and it left me feeling disgusted after finishing it. Overall, the food was of very poor quality, and I cannot recommend this buffet to anyone. I have never requested a refund before, but given the situation, I am requesting a full refund for my meal. I would appreciate it if this could be addressed as soon as possible.

Don’t waste your time 😞 I tried all three sections of food. The sushi was very plain, H-E-B has better taste and texture and flavor than here. The hibachi food section was very skimpy and low in Choices, it was some of the smallest shrimp I’ve ever seen ,small pieces of steak. maybe the fatty part of a pork chop. The sauces were watered down. There was no flavor. It was terrible.😒 The buffet sections: all the meat was hard. The fried food was tough. The shrimp was overcooked. We couldn’t even peel it out of its shell. The seafood was imitation crab meat. There was no salmon the fish was tough. The vegetables were dry. There were no crab Rangoon's It was only cream cheese . Panda Express has better flavor food than this place .. we left very unsatisfied will never go back

Ok so me and my husband and 2 kids went to eat here a couple yesterday around dinner time, we paid 80 dollars for what tasted like leftovers from lunch that was either hard as a rock (ribs), had a funky tastes (pork) or was just downright awful. we didn't even stay more then 20 minutes before leaving. I ate a lil bit of everything on the buffet whereas my family did not...Later that night i started feeling awful and now the next day I'm pretty sure i got food poisoning. (we don't normally go out to eat so getting food poisoning from that is pretty out of the question) I will not be eating here again for a while, and i would recommend looking at the buffet before actually paying to eat, if it doesn't look fresh, don't waste your money

THE WORST TASTING FOOD EVER!! I WASTED MONEY AND TIME!!! Drove down here from Houston for my son football game had the taste for Chinese food! Well baby this was by far the worst… 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

First of all, it was extremely hot inside there, very uncomfortable. The fried food was dried out. The fish tasted good in the very middle, which was the only place you could find some that wasn't like leather. Honestly, I love Chinese food, Kung Pao is one of my favorites, but it was not good at all. Nothing there tasted very good, really. I sadly can't say anything good about their food. I will never return there, nor would I recommend going there. Our waitress was good, I will give them that.

Truly some of the worst Chinese food I've eaten! Tastes old, old oil used too many times, over cooked, everything fried was all batter & hard as leather. Very dark & hot inside. Don't bother, try Osaka grill!!! The poor server was great, only thing any good about the place

Unless you have come to eat desserts, the selection is pretty limited. I tried their seafood casserole because there wasn’t any baked fish available. It was ghastly and all I could truly taste was the salt it was loaded with. I also picked their tuna salad… big mistake here, as well… tons of mayonnaise!! Gag! Couldn’t taste even a hint of tuna. Lots of carrots in it, though. If you like carrots and mayonnaise, you would be happy with it. The sushi was “ok” but nothing special. At least, it wasn’t loaded with salt and/or mayonnaise. Lucky me! I attempted pork ribs but they are virtually all bone!! I can, now, see why they insist that people pay, first, before eating!
