Tadashi Bee Cave Reviews
Tadashi is a solid sushi spot in our neighborhood, and it’s great to have a place like this nearby. This time, we ordered Salmon Fatty Nigiri, Ebi Nigiri, and Salmon Nigiri. The Toro Tuna was excellent—something that’s rare to find at this level in Austin. The other nigiri were also well-prepared and fresh. Unfortunately, they didn’t have Sea Urchin Nigiri this time, which is usually one of our favorites. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a great post-movie stop, especially since it’s located in a plaza right by the theater. Reliable, high-quality sushi for the area, and definitely a go-to for a casual but well-executed sushi experience.
I had one experience here that I did not like last year out on the patio, but I don’t know what it has changed, but I have been here three times and loved it every time we tell is excellent sushi sampler is excellent. Miso soup is excellent… Their ginger is only OK wasabi is very very good. The prices are just slightly higher than some of my favorite places but when I’m in the area, I will always stop here. I also highly recommend the kiss on fire roll.
We ate at Tadashi for our anniversary and absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great, very cute and calm, played great music, smelled and looked clean. Our server was David and he was awesome! Very attentive but not annoying at all. The food was phenomenal. The miso soup was some of the best I have had. So flavorful! The crispy tuna rice appetizer was so yummy with the two opposites of the tuna and the crunchy, sticky rice and then the zing of the red onion was just great. We had the filet mignon skewer and it was good but not good enough to need it again. We had the Kiss the Fire roll and it was so fresh and awesome. I was surprised to have such sound sushi in bee caves honestly but we will be back! My fiancé had the Tonkatsu Pork Bento box and ate it all! The BBQ sauce with the pork is key as the batter is a bit on the less flavorful side but the dish was great variety and awesome. I loved the gyoza that came with that. Def would get a set of that next time. I had the Galbi (short ribs) and they were AWESOME. So flavorful, fresh, grilled to perfection and well prepared. We loved our experience at Tadashi and will 100% be back. It is a pricier menu than most. Sushi usually is but all around this menu is higher but the quality was there, service was great, variety was great and it was worth it to me. We sat at the sushi bar too and were just as comfortable as we would’ve been at a table. Thanks for an awesome anniversary meal, Tadashi! Update: 11/2 - we went back and had another wonderful meal!! Photos added. My fiancé had eel Donburi and he really loved it. I had sushi rolls and gyoza and loved both! Their miso soup is to die for also.
Good service, ambience. The food was fantastic. Noodles, sushi , egg rolls , potstickers. The variety of sushi was great and they have good vegetarian options. Their dessert specials were good too. Overall had an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this place.
Tadashi is one of the best restaurants for bento boxes. It’s in hill country Galleria and generally my workout partner and I will end up here after a good workout. Serving size is good to feed me twice…
This is a great place to stop in while you’re shopping in the Galleria or after a movie! The rolls are always fresh it’s fun to watch them make it! Add some wine, and dinner is done!
I ordered the spicy edamame, fried dumplings, and the chicken teriyaki. Everything was cooked perfectly and the presentation was beautiful. The server was great too!
Fantastic spot! Every item we tried was so delicious and service was wonderful. Away from downtown Austin and the weekend University crowds.
Atmosphere was beautiful. Like most modern restaurants, there was very little sound dampening so the place was a little boomy. That was my only complaint. The food and service were both great!
Delicious sushi and a wide range of options. We had the medium size mixed platter of nigiri and it came out looking like artwork. Everything tasted great. The service was great. Really appreciated her writing down the various types of fish for us. Great food, service, and location. Definitely worth a visit.
Absolutely exquisite selection of fresh fish and very friendly service. Love the quiet indoor setting and creative presentation.

Our special occasion place. Excellent quality sushi in a serene atmosphere. We have also enjoyed some of their delicious appetizers, and always leave satisfied.
Their pasta is amazing. Sushi plates are tasty. Very expensive but theres a reason for that. I loved their bonsais and fountain. It was a nice escape from galeria bustle.

It will be our spot from here out 💯 Our waitress had several tables alone- maybe a slight annoyance for half a second when waiting to place the order but as soon as the hostess noticed- she started to take our order. The server followed up quickly and everything was insanely responsive thereafter. I am such a critic(see my reviews 😂) but there’s nothing to complain about here!
Great cozy atmosphere inside the restaurant. Welcoming staff and quickly found us a table. Food is tasty and servers are helpful in case of any questions. Didn’t have to wait a lot between courses. Definitely worth a try. Closest to authentic Japanese cuisine as you’ll get in south Austin.

The sushi was ok, not the best one I have had, plus a little pricey for what it was. Service was a little slow, the place wasn’t even busy and it took a while for everything.

Good food, great location, but expensive. There are more affordable options elsewhere that provide better overall value. Quality is good, but some of the cooked options are bland. Stick with the raw fish (sushi, rolls, etc.). Sashimi salad is a good value. Appetizers are great. Service is ok, but not incredible. 50 dollars per person is the starting point.

I wish I could give Tadashi a higher rating, because the food is presented well and the service is consistently outstanding. The problem is that the last two times we have gone, someone in our party has ended up with digestive issues. The food seems fresh, but I can't overlook the fact that it has upset 4 peoples' stomachs in 2 visits over the course of 6 months. We have been going here for many years and this only happened in 2025. Maybe a new employee isn't washing their hands? I hope they improve.

The service was horrible! My server didn't make an appearance for over 15 minutes. A server waiting on the table next to mine got my drink & appetizer order. The sushi was decent, but nothing note worthy. My bill was wrong & I didn't get it corrected, because he never came back after dropping it. I never leave no tip, but today I came close.

Haven’t been to Tadashi in over a year. Seems to have taken a turn towards the mundane and ‘weird’. Too many dishes with an entire red onion cut up and incorporated??? Had to send back some of my Nigiri. Service was okay. Overall? Won’t be going back.
