I hadn't been to Lotus since they closed during Covid. A newly remodeled dinning room and the familiar Sushi bar was a treat. The freshness of the seafood was right on. Some new dishes were wonderful and the attention shown by the staff was the best. Betty is the chef/owner and is very proud to offer suggestions and tips of how the recipes are made. Try the Fireman Mike roll and the Sushi pizza but don't skip the Sushi and Sashimi. Gouza soup was extremely good

My wife and I had a fantastic experience here, we sat outside and started with a couple of their wonderful cocktails. I had the Socialite, with gin, elderflower, and cucumber, perfect for a summer evening. My wife had the FOMO, it has pineapple, turmeric, vodka and it was delicious, earthy and refreshing as described. The sushi was fantastic also and our waitress was funny, fun and she made some good recommendations also. We'll be back for sure.

Hands down the absolute BEST SUSHI I’ve ever eaten anywhere on earth and I’ve travelled the world. Everything we’ve ever ordered has been delicious, seriously, but some of our go-to’s include, but are in no way limited to: Tomoe Gozen Roll (soy paper), Masako Katsura Roll (Eat Fit Certified!), Chef’s Special Roll (mix of deliciousness), Stuffed Jalapeños for an app and Tempura Cheesecake for dessert (perfect combo of sweet/salt + crunch/cream + warm/cold of all time). On top of it all, the customer service is second to none. The owner and her staff couldn’t be more friendly or accommodating. Trust me on this one, folks!

So super yummy. Service was top notch. Presentation perfect. I picked up, and I can’t wait to return to dine in and enjoy the quaint atmosphere. A hidden gem w some of the best sushi I’ve had in New Orleans.

Fabulous! Lovely service. The salmon sashimi was so fresh. We had two house rolls, Lotus and the pool shark lady roll (not it’s real name) were delicious. Happy hour from 4:00. We’ll be back!

I have eaten here twice with my fiance and I cannot say enough positive things about this GEM! The staff here are amazing! Super friendly and helpful. The gyoza is literally the best I have ever had. I'm still thinking about the tempura cheescake!!! The first time I came was late on a Sunday and the food was to go. I was really over the moon about the care and detail that was put into packing the food to go. The hot items were on the bottom with cardboard to keep everything in place and to keep the hot boxes separate from the cold boxes. The soup was packaged in a separate bag. All of the boxes are sustainable and have a cute sticker on the top. They included disposable wooden chopstix of great quality and some really awesome polished wood resusable wooden chopstix too!!! Back to the food. So far we have tried the gyoza which is pan seared and comes with this sauce that is so good!!! We also tried the salad with ginger dressing and that alone I could eat every day! The clear soup is yummy too. Tatsuta Age was really crispy and flavorful with a perfect sauce to compliment the app. Tempura shrimp and veggies was also really good, I was especially impressed that they were crispy and not greasy. I also had the ramen and I highly recommend the udon noodles. 20/10 definitely eating here again and sending everyone who will listen to experience this authentic, well kept secret.

Kind people and great food! I swung by here on my way home this evening and I was very impressed. I got to speak with Betty, the proprietress, for a couple minutes. She was very kind and explained the menu to me. I ordered a Kimie Iwata roll and some shrimp fried rice - then went to wait in my car. They brought my food out, and included a couple extras too - some shrimp and a nice pair of reusable chopsticks. The food was delicious, and it was clear that they take pride in what they do! Lots of nice little touches. It's great to have small businesses like Lotus Bistro here in Lakeview. Ill be coming back next time I am craving sushi!

Just another honest review for Lotus Bistro! The food was superior to many of the restaurants I have tried with similar menus in Aventura, Florida as-well-as Atlanta, Ga! My waitress was Pie and she had a great sense of humor! During the meal the owner, Betty Sun made her self know and it was obvious why the experience and food preparation was superior! She was pleasant and a beauty women inside and out! If you are in the area you have to give Lotus Bistro a try! If you are looking to cater a party or just want to take a drive across town its a great Sushi Restaurant to try with a friend, love one or colleague!

My new favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant! Lotus Bistro was super easy, fairly priced, and the food was by far some of the best sushi I’ve had in a while! They were super nice, brought our food to our car, and even gave us bonus chopsticks that I can’t wait to use again! I will definitely be ordering from Lotus Bistro again real soon!

Fresh. Innovative. Delicious. I could go all day with one-word summaries of how good this place was. I'm an Omakase type diner, so my date and I sat in front of Chef Edgar and Chef Dylan requested that they just " do their thing", until i tap out. They did not disappoint. Everything was plated perfectly. Tasted delicous. Wonderful layers of flavor on every dish. I was never left waiting for food. In fact, the restaurant was full, and they managed to keep plates flying to tables while feeding a full sushi bar. Dem boys are good. Also, the few hot dishes I got from the kitchen were so good! Highly recommend the spicy edamame. They're currently waiving a corkage fee so BYOB. Brought our own bottles of wine to enjoy with this amazing meal. There is a mini mart right next door with great deals , so convenient. As you're reading this, youre probably saying: "Wow..great review! theres no more you can say, I'm already sold and eating there tonight!". But there is more, and to me, is equally as important as the food. THE SERVICE! Our waitress, Kaci, was nothing short of incredible. Great service, so attentive and greeted us with a smile as we walked in. She made an already outstanding meal, an overall phenomenal experience. I highly recommend this beautiful new gem of a sushi restaurant perfectly located in Lakeview/WestEnd.

A new “must try” gem in Lakeview. The food was phenomenal with flavor that continually surprises and impresses with each roll. We tried several signature rolls with a blend of starters and loved them all! Service and staff also deserve many props. Great new restaurant!

Visited Jan 17th and as a super fan of sushi and everything Japanese; the Lotus Bistro has some serious creative juices flowing. I found it quite refreshing as each dish was hand crafted and plated in a unique way ( very NYC/LA ). Be prepared to have your palate satiated with very fresh seafood matted to some wonderful sauces! Looking forward to going back soon!

The sushi is great and love the roll choices but if you haven't tried the hibachi fried rice you are missin out! This rice is amazing!! I always get the veggie one and its delish!! Its almost buttery and has zucchini, squash, carrots and onions in it. Its soooo yummy!!!

The food was good. Service wasn't. No liquor license. $2 "corkage" fee per beer and they will count your beers. I always thought corkage had an element of service or some glassware involved but no you get up from your chair, walk to the convenience store next door, buy beer, bring it in the door, set it on your table and drink it out of the container that it came in. I don't know why the restaurant charges for that. Restaurants that sell liquor can charge markup and corkage on top of cost but there's no markup and no true corkage here. 45 minute wait and then almost 2 hours to get our food after that. The restaurant wasn't even full and we had no napkins or chopsticks for about 30 minutes. The owner was milling about but not really bussing tables or helping the waiter. I feel bad for that guy. Waiter also didn't ring in 2 items that we ordered. They'll get it right eventually but they clearly have a lot of staff problems right now. I'll try it again in a year if they stay in business. Go to Shogun.

3.4.21 So we tried this place tonight after OTF, me, Erica, Cameron, it was on Harrison. The door was locked, a couple sitting on picnic bench in parking lot, told us to knock. That was weird. No indoor seating like it says on Yelp. We were told to sit on another picnic table in the driveway. They had some visual flame that provided ZERO heat & it was cold. No liquor license yet. Told Erica to get wine at the corner store where a extremely intoxicated driver almost ran into her looking for sour skittles. Back to the sushi- we ordered a sushi pizza for an appetizer. It was ok. Sounded and looked better than it tasted. We ordered king crab roll and that's not we got. Then the philly roll was really bad, we couldn't even eat it. The other roll, Quarantine-TUNA roll was the best. Our waitress was cool. The the digital fortune cookie was cool too.The

Have eaten there 3-4 times and had take out. Some of the food is really good. The service is not very good. Was there for 2 hours one time and two of the four of us didn’t receive our meals. I got a bento box for me and my brother and they were extremely small quantities for 15 dollars a piece. The chicken was tiny and over cooked with a burnt taste. Overall more bad experiences than good ones.

Ordered pick-up. Sushi rolls were tiny...very small. The soup was good, but we don't think we'll go in person or order pick-up again. Just not worth it.
