HiroNori Craft Ramen was good — solid flavors, quality ingredients, and definitely a comforting bowl. But honestly, I don’t really understand the hype. The broth was tasty but not mind‑blowing, and the overall experience didn’t quite match the level of buzz this place gets. Still worth trying, just not the life‑changing ramen some people make it out to be.

A really nice ramen spot in a small strip mall. I went with a friend right before going to the airport. It was a little chilly so ramen hit the spot! The soup: I don't eat meat and ordered the vegan ramen with thin noodles. It was SO good. Plenty of toppings, good noodles, good broth. I really appreciate a place that offers veggie broth! The wait: We got there around 11:30 on a Saturday and there was a small wait but it wasn't bad (you put your name in and they provide a pretty accurate estimate). Note that your whole party has to be there to be seated!

I loveeeeee this place!! I live in san diego and was so excited to know they have one here in irvine too. When I was visiting my bf we came here for a quick lunch. The food is always amazing and service was quick as well. We were seated right away, no wait. There is plenty of parking in the lot. Food review: Chicken karaage: (5/5) YUM. Cooked perfectly and super juicy and tender. The dipping sauce it comes with is tasty! Tonkotsu ramen: (5/5) The noodles are my favorite here. The broth is also so flavorful and delicious. I got an extra egg as well. Crispy tuna: (5/5) Delicious! The rice wasn't overly crispy like some places. Super yummy spicy tuna as well and nice sized slice of avo on top.

I arrived on a school night at 5:30p solo and Kayla was great, seated me right away. My ramen was served quickly and it was delicious. Although I ordered the fried chicken which never appeared, good ramen shop.

HiroNori is a nice place to try Ramen, the place is small but it is okay for a craft taste and experience, our host was lovely and smiling always, we sat down in no time, was greeted and offered water that tasted like watermelon and lemon, it was Amazing! We ordered ramen combo with chicken and Tonkotsu, the secret is in the broth it taste very nice and delicious, an extra garlic and spicy paste was offered as well, they add 17% as a service fee (optional) but you can cancel it and pay whatever you want to support the small business. Overall experience was outstanding and we will be going back!

Absolutely superb vegan ramen. Some of the best I've had anywhere. If there's a long line when you arrive, it's for a good reason!

Not sure why it took us this look to check this place out but glad we finally got to it. Not a shocker but what we've heard from so many people is absolutely true. Phenomenal ramen here! You can't go wrong with anything you order. Add in that yummy garlic they give you on the side, it takes the ramen to the next level. Get to this location before 5 if you can or parking tends to get a bit tough.

I've been here a few times and although I'm not personally a ramen person, it was good. Everyone in my group enjoyed the ramen and we were able to try all of the different types over our visits. I would highly recommend the pork buns and the crispy chicken. On many occasions, I'll just get those items while everyone else gets ramen and I would leave very satisfied.

An excellent casual spot for some ramen deliciousness. I had the TONKOTSU RAMEN which included: Pork chashu, green onion, spinach, seaweed, bean sprouts, half egg. They offer a few more additional toppings, as well as ordering more of the toppings that are already included; all at an extra charge. I selected the “combo” which included the ramen accompanied with a small poke rice bowl (your choice tuna or salmon) and a small side salad. Our group also had the cucumber crab salad and crispy rice with spicy tuna. The ramen broth was exceptional, not too salty with perfect flavors and richness. I added some garlic and spicy sauce bringing it to near perfection. The noodles are thick with just the right amount of bite. The pork chashu was excellent. The side dishes and appetizers were also very very good. Especially the crispy rice with spicy tuna. The decor was modern, hip and comfortable. The service was very good; wait staff was very attentive and always made sure your drinks were topped off. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for a hot bowl of ramen.

One of the best ramen spots in OC! The tonkotsu broth is rich and flavorful. Chashu is flavorful and soft. Staff is friendly and efficient. Karaage is crispy, juicy, and delicious. It’s not covered in thick batter as well.

Best ramen place we’ve tried in OC…just my opinion. We have also tried their branch in chino. It’s a small place so seating is limited. It might be harder or take longer to seat a party of 4+ people. So I recommend for you to join their waitlist through their website. We have tried their tonkotsu and shoyu ramen on several occasions and the taste and flavor are always consistent. My husband and I usually come here after night ride on mountain bike. It’s our little “reward” after biking. I always look forward to our date night. You have to request for their free chili and garlic seasoning. You can also try their black garlic oil for a small fee. It changes the depth of the soup flavor. We also order their karage or crispy chicken and love the dipping sauce that comes with it. We usually request xtra sauce. And we have also tried their chasu bun. Really good. So far, we have never been dissatisfied with the food or the service so this is why we don’t mind keeping the 16% surcharge they add as a default “tip” to the bill. But it’s really optional. Weather is starting to get cool again so I anticipate this place is only going to get busier. I look forward to the next visit.

It just doesn’t get any better than this. I’m telling you, it’s the best ramen in America. The tonkatsu broth is cooked for 24 hours and you can taste the depth of flavor in every bite. The crispy chicken is a perfect starter. Served fresh and hot and super crispy. Edamame is fantastic as well as the pork buns. They add the tip on the total, So be careful not to double tip the server. (Unless you want to!) Strip mall has free parking, but the entire area is busy, so you may have trouble finding a spot.

Ramen was smooth, not salty, meat was tender, broccolini was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. The noodles were a little overcooked.

The first time I was here, the ramen was just so-so. I tried it again today and the tonkatsu ramen was great this time. I added the spicy sauce to the ramen. The spicy tuna rice and salad weren't really that great, but the ramen makes it worth it. Edit: tried it a third time and the ramen was great. The spicy tuna rice wasn’t great, but the ramen was goof.

We had an amazing dining experience here! Everything we tried was incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The appetizers especially blew us away — the crispy rice with spicy tuna and vegan gyoza were absolutely phenomenal. I wasn’t in the mood for meat today, so I opted for the veggie ramen, and I’m so glad I did. Every bite was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. My husband had the spicy tuna bowl and loved it as well. Hands down one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to come back!

Incredible bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Had lots of depth of flavor but wasnt too salty or heavy. I loved the watermelon cucumber water, the side of broccolini, and the noodles were perfect.

I used to get food here all the time. Since I’m near John Wayne Airport, this is overall the best place to get food at a reasonable price. The portions are big enough, and the bowls are the best in town. As for the ramen, I’m not really a ramen fan, but I appreciate their bowl options. It’s very affordable, and you can definitely feed a lot of people here. It’s great to have the chicken option if you’re hungry or looking for a healthier choice for different bowls. For the price, it’s hard to complain. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on with the fish — it’s not top-quality fish, but it always smells fresh, which is definitely a plus. I’ve never fully understood what types of fish they use. Even the tuna or salmon comes in very small pieces, but it’s still fine since, as I mentioned, it always smells fresh. The chicken option is just boiled or fried chicken, but for that reasonable price and portion size, this place gets a #1 from me. Overall, it’s a good place to eat, and I really like their garlic and spicy condiments. I’ve never had any issues at the location near the airport, but I do feel uncomfortable at the LAX location. However, the food quality is still the same.

It was my first time at HiroNori Craft Ramen. I had the vegan ramen with their miso soup. It was delicious. But wait, their more. We ordered several sides ... Crispy chicken, Crispy rice w/spicy tuna, and Edamame. I am a ramen fan but the Crispy chicken was the highlight for the evening. Crispy on the outside and juicy chicken on the inside. It was delicious and yummy. They don't take reservations but there is a waitlist. I give them 10 out of 10.

The tonkatsu ramen is a must have, the broth is delicious, the pork is nice and tender and the noodles are thick but perfect. The pork buns were also a nice appetizer, would go again

After a long day, I figured I would finally try another Ramen place. This was close to my hotel, so here we are. The last time I had real Ramen was at Ichiran in Yokyo, so it may not be a fair evaluation. Ultimately, HiroNori was decent. I had the Shoyu with a side of crispy rice with spicy tuna, and mochi ice cream. The side was my favorite part of the meal. A little wasabi with it and would have been hard to beat. As for the Ramen, I think I would focus more on dried seasonings than the sauces for added spice and flavor. The mocha ice cream looked amazing, and just could have used some flavor. The service was good. The wait staff was attentive and courteous. The atmosphere depends on what you like. This place was small and seats a total of about 36 people at once. All hard surfaces and a mostly younger crowd made it a loud place. I wore noise canceling earbuds to make it more comfortable for me. Personally I thought it was too loud. The food was appropriately priced.

I went to NiroNori Craft Ramen yesterday and had a really good experience overall. The food was excellent – everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The service was also very nice, the staff was attentive and friendly, which made the visit even more pleasant. The only thing I didn’t enjoy as much was that it felt quite noisy inside, most likely because the restaurant is a bit small. I also think it would be wonderful if there was a patio area, as it would give guests a more relaxed option to dine. Despite that, I left satisfied and would definitely consider coming back in the future.

What went right? The ramen, the pork belly appetizer, our family enjoying a meal together. What went un-right? Waiting an hour outside, the food took almost 30 minutes to arrive after we ordered, the food was not hot, the cramped space. My family enjoyed the sauce with the crispy chicken, I preferred the pork belly appetizer. The ramen was really tasty. I will probably choose a different ramen restaurant next time because the parking is nutty and the wait time is too long. We wished we’d signed up for the wait list before we arrived and wished we’d walked around while we were on the list. Our total time was 2 hours for 3 people to eat ramen. Quite a long time considering the food is already cooked and just needs to be put together. Our total was $95 for the food in the pictures.

Wanted to see what this place is all about, lots of great reviews. Came on New Year eve at 7:34pm and placed our name on the waitlist and was told the wait was at least 1.5 hours with an 80% chance of not getting seated so decided to order take out instead. Quite understandable since they were scheduled to close by 9pm. While we were waiting for our food, at 7:54pm a text message arrive stating our table is ready. What a bummer! Ironically, our food was already ready but not notified. Seems everyone on the waitlist was discouraged about the wait time and left. It is very difficult to rate a restaurant on togo orders because that was not how the chef intended to serve and present the dish. Both the tonkatsu and shoyu broths were flavorful and both came with half soft boiled egg and two pieces of pork. Portions are on the smaller side so we opted to add the combo (rice, salad, and a small scoop of poke) for $7.25 Packaging of the order was very itemized and secure. Like all ramen places, the broth was separated from the noodles.

I asked them to remove the 17.24% optional service charge. On the receipt, it clearly stated, "can be removed if you prefer to leave your own gratuity." It was removed by only 7.75%. The server didn't tell me he didn't completely remove the tips. He just changed the number. He didn't even ask how much I wanted to pay for the tips. I didn't see the final receipt until I was in my car. I left the restaurant feeling horrible because after tapping my credit card, I asked the server about adding tips, but he said the card had already gone through. He asked the manager. She said the only way to add the tips is if she cancels and refunds it, then charges the card again. She said it's fine without the tips. So yeah, I left the restaurant feeling bad knowing I did not leave any tips. However, after seeing the receipt, I am angry that they didn't tell me I had paid tips or that 9.49% is still on it. I'm glad I checked the receipt before running back to the restaurant. I was about to give them a $10 bill because I thought they were being nice, letting me know it's ok without leaving a tip. After not telling me about the tips, this $10 stays in my car for an emergency. About the foods: - Tonkotsu ramen with thick noodles. Noodles are chewy and taste good, but the broth is not as tasty. I had to put a lot of garlic and chili paste to make it tastier. They want people to customize it, hence the garlic on the side. - Shoyu ramen. It's tastier than the tonkotsu ramen. I don't usually order/get shoyu ramen, but this one is tasty. - Cucumber crab salad is bland. They used imitation crab. The cucumber has no taste 😑 there's a tiny hint of sugar and vinegar. - Salmon poke bowl. I love rice. I could rice just by itself. Whoever cooked the rice put too much water. The salmon itself is good. I couldn't eat the rice 😢

The food was very good but the service was lacking. 4 of the employees were just sitting by the host stand the entire time we were there. My water was only filled once in the hour i was there at the end when we were already leaving. Recommend the food but service could be better.
