Pleasantly surprised! There haven’t been any stores near me. I have been driving by several places that serve fried chicken and it got me craving for some tonight. Chicken was crunchy and spicy outside,moist and tender inside.

Really good food. I fully recommend this place. Chicken is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside

I bought the Cajun Turkey for Thanksgiving, and it was very good. It was seasoned well and tender. Not to mention the time it saved me in the kitchen. The only Popeye's around East/Downtown Long Beach. The next closes are about three miles away, in North Long Beach. Parking can be tough, they share a small lot(maybe 8 or 9 spots) with 7/11. And during the rush hours it can be extremely difficult to park. In all, your typical Popeye's. Chicken is great. Doesn't taste any different than other Popeye's. Who doesent love Popeyes Chicken. I don't way too greasy prices to high pieces to small and the food is never as fresh as it should be. Yes I can comment like this I was in the restaurant business for 20 yrs.

Chicken sandwich was good! But they messed up my order I asked for one spicy chicken combo and one classic and they gave me both classics. But it was good. First time trying the sandwich.

The Sunday crew that worked here on this day (10/01/23) are an excellent team. Food was fresh, the restaurant was clean, the drive thru was running efficiently. Can't go wrong with any of their sides, but the chicken here is prepared to be so well.

The place was really clean although it was PACKED!! Gave it a five stars despite the slow service at the register... Think girl was a new hire so she gets a pass... The chicken was DELICIOUS, juicy and freshly made cause it was piping hot!! Their biscuits and mash potatoes never disappoint... Soda machine had no ice so had to request from workers...

Very friendly staff, very juicy chicken sandwhich. People like to compare but I think it's different from Chick-fil-A in its own way. I'd recommend the spicy chicken sandwich and some fries.

Spicy chicken prepared nicely and very tasty. Green beans and red beans/rice sides fresh but kind of low on flavor. Counter staff very helpful and friendly.

Chickens are great, but I felt something was missing at about this store. I will be back next time to see if different or not.

So for this review...its Popeye's what can I say? Its chicken. I dislike this location's drive thru because it is way too tight for my larger SUV so I always go inside. Today when I was inside a man came in and asked for the manager because his drive-thru order was missing something he asked for. It's an ok place, there isn't usually a line so that's always good and the food I get from here is always fresh.

Chicken is always great. Disappointed to find out that Popeyes wants to tell me which condiments/sauces I may use on my chicken. If I order strips I may have bbq sauce. If I order bone in chicken, I am offered hot sauce. Is it not all chicken? Seems to me it is becoming a dictatorship.

It's fast food, so low bar. I ordered special 3 thighs. Huge pieces . Left over made great chix salad.

Long wait in drive-thru line and limited spicy chicken. I had to alter my 8 piece all spicy order order at the window, after waiting 20 minutes(which more spicy chicken could have been cooked). Not pleased but the chicken was great.

Kind of a gross parking lot. Other than that, well we tried the spicy sandwich. It was good, but greasy and my sons was overly salty compared to mine. I would go back, but we will stick to the family meals. Service was good and pretty fast.

the food was tasty and I was In & out relatively quickly. I went with the boneless tenders for a friend & me. The coleslaw was fresh & the mac & cheese was fire, no lie. They were out of the 1 gallon sweet tea, but that was the only downside.

It's Popeyes. Their biscuits are really good, their chicken sandwich is prolly the best thing on their menu. I suggest the strawberry biscuit if they still carry it and their fries are decent too. I haven't had their chicken in a while, I suggest Pioneers for that .

We had the 20 piece chicken tender meal with macaroni and cheese, fries and the biscuits. My husband prefers tenders, I'd have ordered the actual chicken. They were out of mashed potatoes, which is my favorite side, so we got mac n cheese. Chicken tenders were maybe too thin so they were a little dry. The exterior was very crispy whick I dipped in the buffalo sauce. The mac was super temperature hot, some of the cheese was crispy, but not burned, but it was okay. Biscuits are always good. Their cinnamon apple pie is good, but best to eat at a table, too many crumbs from the cinnamon sugar would drop everywhere. 5 stars for the soda machine with dozens of choices.

Walked in store was really dirty, ordered some wings they put too much sauce and the wings were mid. Wouldn’t go to this location again.

We only go to this place because my son really enjoys it. I think they're a bit overpriced for what you get he's not mean the food is bad.

The staff was very kind, but there is no sense of urgency and the manager Jose was not really helpful to the customers or his team. The ladies working were very sweet though.

It is tasty for sure.. but at a high price of obesity and heart attack in yr 40s. Lots of overweight patrons that most likely cost $100k each for heart failure from our Medicare system. Restaurant should be held responsible for serving such poor diet to the public.

I ordered a big meal and the packaging was poorly put together resulting in some of food spilling in my bag. Also with that being said the store acted as if they didn't want to give me a handful of dipping sauces and told me in the future I'd have to pay .27 cent per sauce after the amount of money that was spent and me waiting 30 minutes to receive my order. The taste/quality of the food is normally great but this particular time my chicken strips were overcooked/slightly burnt and didn't taste good at all.

Don't show up close to closing time or it's more than likely you won't get what you want. At 8:45pm they were out of chicken sandwiches, anything spicy chicken/tenders, no biscuits, and no mash potatoes. Place is clean and staff tried hard to substitute other items they are out of. However, next time they should tell their customers while ordering they are out of items rather than when they are walking out the door checking their orders. I was expecting my 8 additional biscuits order and paid for, rather than extra fries and chicken as a substitute. I would have been hot, if I got home and thought I got the wrong order with no biscuits. Morally of this review is check your orders before you leave!!!🤦‍♀️☹

A recently opened location. It's still clean inside lol. The dining area is a bit sparse. Service is a little slow and the employees seem stressed. The parking lot is usually full due to multiple stores on site. But if you "Love that chicken from Popeyes" definitely give it a shot.

AI is taking drive thru orders. The WORST. I was trying to order a special on the menu right in front of me and it just kept saying they didn't sell it. I tried to order the "Wraps Bundle" that came with two wraps and a premium lemonade. I just ended up going to McDonald's for wraps later. This was on 09/04/2025. Approx 627pm. This popPope has one of the worst drive-thru employees. They always get orders wrong! Please double check your orders before driving off or else you will have to drive back to pick up the rest of your order. It never fails that they mess up my order.

I'll give them two stars because the employees here are kind however I feel bad for them because this location is so bad, it's on the heart of the ghetto. I even saw a guy peeing on the wall. So please be careful, guys.

When ordering from the drive thru (well the day I went) I was spoken to like I was the homie. Once at the pick up window you have no choice hearing their gossip chats. This drive thru wait time highest is 30 mins all jokes aside. Last option when I don't feel like driving to another "Popeyes" location.

This particular Popeyes was terrible.. ordered a couple of chix sandwich...it was dry, cold and small sandwich!!! I tried the other establishment at Hawaiian Gardens.. that served you the hot and juicy chix sandwich.. it was a big portion.. They should be consistent!

I used the mobile app for the first time, they gave me a pick up option so I chose drive thru. I got to the speaker after 10 minutes in line and they tell me that mobile orders are not done in drive thru! So I had to go inside bad knee and all.

I love Popeye's. Always have. This location though is horrible. I've been there 3 times. And three times, I've left with no food. Always different circumstances. But always the same outcome. It's upsetting. Seems like the employees just don't care.

Overcharging menu prices plus a charge for the sauce every single time especially through to get $65 Deals they won't give you the white the correct quantity 4 for $65 meal cost to taking the sauce yes I'm talking anywhere from $20 to $65. You take the right quantity a sauce for your meal they charge for everything and this location at this eyes open it was not like that I understand but they got a charge come on I want to get in a family pack not a $5 deal

Don't know why my husband insists on returning, probably because there's not another in the area and he's hopeful each time will be betrer...it rarely is. The service is terrible, chicken is usually dry or they get the order wrong. If the crew isn't language strong, then it's some young ones with little to no customer service skills. A mess.

Food was luke warm and the place just open. The green beans had no flavor, red beans and rice were crunchy. I asked for ranch dipping sauce you think I was ripping the place off the way the worker looked at me.

Great food BUT this one black female employee named Leah M. is RUDE! People like her shouldn't be working at all. Nobody told nor forced you to work there sweety if you were really going to act and looked very miserable with your job as if she didn't want to be there. Her customer skill is poorly low class, she needs to learn how to have an 'friendlier customer service.' I didn't like how her voice tone sounded annoyed for doing the job by taking people's order thru the drive thru. The management needs to do something about this or else you'll keep on losing your business over her awful horrible ugly faced attitude.

I do not like the drive-thru AI that's there. Plus, they always get our food wrong. There are no people to ask us about our order, which is customer unfriendly. The AI is not smart to handle correct orders. Plus, the service at the drive-thru windows sucked. They got our order wrong, and they were unprofessional.

Ordered o. The kiosk and was given classic tenders, not spicy. Inconvenient sing we ordered take out. Not driving back to fix this, my household was hungry for our dinner. Coke machine was out of syrup and not working right. Had to ask workers to fill up on back side. Atmosphere could have been better if woman there wouldn't have let her toddler run around pusing over signs and being a nuisance.

Drive thru-confirmed order white meat, spicy with honey and stawberry jelly. Got home to find regular wing & thigh with ketsup and hot sauce. Yes, ill be calling the manager.

Drive through line was down the main street (dangerous). Lobby over crowded..no social distancing. If you are not equipped to handel specials or don't know how to handel crowds...don't offer specials. I called for a refund..couldn't get through (no answer) If you want to try..make sure they don't have a special promotion...otherwise be prepared for a long wait..hope its worth it.

Disgusting food, the food was old and smelled like methane gas. Even the sides were disgusting as if they just microwaved. My husband and I got sick from eating there too. Don't ever come here, it's way too overpriced and you dont get what you pay for.

I love Popeyes, but that was the WORST Popeyes chicken I've ever tasted. It seemed as if they forgot to add the Popeyes original recipe to the chicken. It was very bland and unfortunate. I truly hope this particular restaurant can improve upon this in the future!

Highly disappointed in this Popeyes.. I’ve never had a shrimp combo before, so I ordered it thinking it was going to be good. I was completely wrong, the shrimp didn’t even look like shrimp, they were the smallest crumb looking things I’ve seen. Better call this combo 1/4 looking shrimps rather than 1/4 shrimp combo. There were no fries so got mash potatoes instead. That’s my usual go to is Popeyes mash potatoes, but when we got home, the mash potatoes weren’t even filled up with hardly any gravy. Biscuits were dry. This ruined my experience with this location Popeyes. I’m so sad and wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. Save your money and time and go somewhere else that is worth it!!!

Worst service ever. They refused to give me mu order thru the drive thru when I specifically selected drive thru as pick up method. Untrained staff with minimal to no sense of respect for customers. They made me wait 20 min for a mobile order that should’ve been ready for pick up. After waiting for ten minutes they asked me ro show them my phone to start working on the order. Meanwhile the three girls were gossiping. Complete disregard for customers. Never coming back again. Stay away from this place is the worst

Ordered the chicken sandwich and the breading of the chicken fell apart while eating not enough breading! And this Popeyes ran out of French fries and I got the mashed potatoes that had very little gravy! Wouldn’t recommend this Popeyes at all!! Very disappointed with this experience!

Place is not being well managed. The “kids” (young staff) were giving orders at random. Our food took so long just to get the wrong order. Took back the order only to get 3/4 of our correct order 🙄

Terrible customer service , food was not so good. The worst Popeyes I've ever been too 😕 The lady who gives you the food was awfully rude and so was the manager when all I asked why they didn't give me the icey I paid for but gave me a regualr lemonade instead and they gave me attitude when it was their mistake. They told me at the window the machine was broken when we saw another person getting there Icey..never again going there.

Mostly staffed by teens. Drive thru was about a 20min wait. On 10/11/20 I ordered a spicy two piece meal with mashed potatoes. Asked if I could get two chicken breast, be charged the difference and also get and extra mashed potatoes. Simple, right? When I got back to work and checked my order I was given a thigh and breast and no extra mash...but my receipt showed I was charged for what I ordered. Called the location, no one ever picked up the phone. I couldn't go back as my lunch break was over. I will not be back at this location.

The chicken is crispy but it has no flavor. Like 0 % of marinade and it was just fried. It was horrible, so I refrigerated it and took it back for a replacement. The same result no flavor. Never again!

Clearly someone can't count to 16 and can't tell what a large side is cause they only give me half a cup. Don't care that you spent money on it and don't even offer to remedy the problem. Slow to finish your order. Their machine does not accurately reflect the deals that you used with an online order and the receipt even says it, but they stare at you like you are the crazy one. Do not go under any circumstances. Even if the only way to save your life is a bite of low quality fried chicken.

Ordered at the kiosk at this location and after waiting about 25 minutes for our Togo order we approached Margaret the manager at the counter who told us our orders were not in their system. we had paid receipts but she still attempted to charge us again for our food. when we refused she played around on her POS system and finally found our orders. in all it took around 45 minutes for us to get our meals. if the kiosk system is not ready to take guests orders and put them into the queue, it should not be open. and if the manager does not know how to work the POS system please see that she gets the training she needs.

I took my mother 85 years old to eat something in side she like chicken , well after waiting for an attendant We try to use her Kiosk but the machine through me out Still waiting for service I ask for help to order food, I ask Ana one of the employees for help , she said to wait but after 10 minutes to be there trying to eat and make a purchase I decide to ask for the Employee name of course at that moment the manager appears I ask for the name again Until I get it. I guues they need to take care all costumers and get enough people for a better service for

This is for the Popeyes located on Rosecrans in Gardena California. I am disgusted with this meal. The chicken is uncooked. Gross!! My son ordered this on 11/30/2021 through Door Dash and this is what he got. I want a full refund and we have been turned off by the food. I am going to contact the corporate headquarters about this. There is no way you should ever served uncooked food.
