I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Panda Express in Benbrook, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The restaurant itself is clean, well-organized, and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. What truly stood out during my visit was the outstanding customer service provided by Erica. From the moment I walked in, Erica greeted me with a genuine smile and an incredibly positive attitude. She was attentive, patient, and went above and beyond to ensure my order was perfect. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she even offered helpful suggestions based on my preferences. Erica's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction truly set this location apart. It's rare to encounter such dedicated and friendly service in the fast-food industry, and it made my visit all the more enjoyable. The food, as always, was delicious and fresh, but it's Erica's exceptional service that will keep me coming back. If you're in the Benbrook area and craving some tasty Chinese food, I highly recommend stopping by this Panda Express location. Be sure to ask for Erica—she'll make sure you leave with a smile on your face and a satisfied appetite. Five stars all the way!
I decided to try Panda Express and, unfortunately, the experience didn’t impress me. The food was decent but lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for. The orange chicken, which is usually a favorite, was too greasy and not as crispy as I expected. The fried rice was a bit dry, and the vegetables in the mixed entrée felt undercooked. The service was fast, and the staff was polite, but overall, it felt like a standard fast food chain rather than a place for quality Chinese cuisine. It’s a good option for a quick meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.
We think their food has good flavor, but wish the steak bites were more tender. Wish it added fried/steamed dumplings to the appetizer menu. The best part of choosing Panda over a regular Chinese restaurant is that one can customize their plate. Like having 2 or 3 different entrees and choosing half rice and half noodles or veggies on one plate.
One of the better Panda expresses around. Quick service, quality food and nice staff. Food is always consistent. The building is always so cold though! Seating is clean and ample. The staff is always friendly and helpful with making decisions! Better than other pandas around. I've always had good luck here
Made my order & was told it would be 6 minutes..staff didn't tell cook they was out of what I ordered so after 10 minutes I ask if food was ready & they had not told cook..so i waited another 6 minutes..very disappointed ..
Ordered chow mein. Got 2 boxes FULL of just cabbage. Had to come back to the store after I had already driven all the way home. The store manager did correct it, and for that I appreciate it. However, that product should’ve never left the store.
At least the third time I've gone here and they were out of the meat I order. But to be out of rice seems to be a little excessive.
We normally order the kumg pao But today was super spicy 🥵 I asked the person why was so spicy And she responded that it’s the way it is!
All door were locked in the middle of a business day and had to have another customer open the door for me. Only two people working in the middle of lunch rush. Orange chicken was undercooked and rice was burnt. I felt bad because the two workers were trying hard to keep up but it was just a bad experience overall.
I went through the drive thru about 11:30 this morning and ordered a bowl with chowmein and teriyaki chicken. When I got home with the food I was thinking it was left over from last night. (The texture and freshness wasn’t there). I called to ask the manager but the phone just rang. So check your food if you order it before noon.
They refused to give me a refund for what they charged me for that they did not have. Calling my credit card company and canceling the entire transaction because what they did here is Legally theft. Tip, never use a debit card, only credit.
I had decided to give this location a second chance after getting food poisoning awhile back. However the service was so terrible, I ended up leaving (probably for the best) I patiently waited quite some time but no one said a word to me. A quick “just a minute” would have been enough, it’s fast food I don’t expect much. The two women were just pretending to do other things, they avoided eye contact at all costs so I couldn’t even ask anything. Oh well, hopefully their service improves so other customers can have a good experience.
Not sure what’s going on with just 2 workers opening and not having food ready. Hispanic woman walked to a man’s car looked like before clocking in. We waited over 30 min for our food due to being short staff, maybe if the lady wasn’t so busy seeing her sneaky link she could go help the young man and woman inside.
Probably no point of leaving this review seeing the owner or manager doesn’t respond or seem to resolve any of the issues but got there at 9:20 was told the kitchen was closed even tho they don’t close the store till 10:30. So I couldn’t get teriyaki chicken what ever terrible but frustrating but then when I get home my meal is all messed up I ordered Plate. Chow mein with teriyaki chicken/ orange chicken Plate chow mein/ fried rice orange chicken and broccoli beef I got instead Plate chow mein/ half rice with chicken teriyaki and broccoli beef Plate chow mein/ half rice with orange chicken and broccoli beef Of course tried calling and no answer go figure what a waste of time and money won’t go here again.
3.2 Stars average explains all. I went for a while, changed locations and came back to try and it was doing better. Now I have to change locations again cause it's back to the same stuff. Employees, atmosphere and food which is employees at fault making it wrong. There is a young lady at the drive through I believe is Daniella and she is wishy washy. Sometimes ok and sometimes not. The way she was in the drive through ordering was not good and It sure took a long time to get my card back and I hope it was a legitimate reason. In the same area and it was between here and only 2 other places that skimmed my card and made a copy of it and tried to scan my card at another place and not online it was a swipe not a digital purchase. And when this came up I looked and had my card which means somebody skimmed it and made a copy of it and tried to use it inside a location. And the orders being wrong are on the employee because I ordered properly and the order was not filled properly. So needless to say I will not be back to this location for sometime. Hopefully things will improve again at this location.
I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this location 100% earned this review! Definitely not gourmet, but fast Chinese food that’s usually quick but frequently incorrect, so always check your to-go bag for mistakes. They also like to say they have something available, charge you full price, send you on your way with a receipt that verifies their mistake, then deny it when you go back to have them correct your order. They won’t give cash refunds… EVEN when it’s their error, so plan to write your name down and come back to redeem you “item” in replacement food at a later date… VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! When you charge a customer for a large, but only have enough to fill a medium and are too lazy to make more, and inconvenience the customer by making them come back when they catch your mistake, REFUND THE ORDER! It’s not rocket science! How inconsiderate to your customers! We don’t go here often because the calorie count is horrendous, but as a Vegetarian, I do recommend the Super Greens and Veggie Spring Rolls. The restaurant has closed 20-30 minutes earlier than the listed time on the doors more times than I can count. They also won’t make fresh spring rolls of its 30 min before closing time because they can’t be inconvenienced or bothered. We’ve eaten at this location about 15 times over the last 14 years and we finally said no more! It’s not worth my hard earned money or time to pay them to get my order wrong, overcharge me, then force me to come back for a food exchange versus a refund. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
This place is garbage. Always out of stock on (pick your item) Taste like garbage. I mean how do you sell teriyaki chicken without teriyaki sauce? This place is an abomination to Panda Express. Management should be replaced or this location should just be shut down. Absolute disgrace to the franchise.
