Looks rough as toast but absolutely amazing when you get there. Good karaoke each night and a good selective of drinks too, definitely worth a trip

If you're going at night, DONT GO IN SOBER. And tie your laces tight. Don't take anything with you that you dont want to lose. I had to step over an unconscious person to get into the place, and left with no trainers. Overall, good place.

Every time I go to Benidorm, this is my first stop,and each year, it gets better. Drinks are excellent, and so are the prices, and the karaoke is top-notch.

Had a brilliant time in here, not very big can get a bit crowded but they have a large outside space, brilliant DJ, kareok, good beers, good atmosphere and free photo screen, really enjoyed.

My buddy Birchy and I, go in here around 4pm onwards on a daily basis, (when we are out there, lol) and its normally buzzing with a superb atmosphere, full marks to those who have a go on the karaoke,(me too shy) and no matter who sings what, or how good, or bad they are, everyone joins in, including me from amongst the crowd....and then we stumble out in good spirits.. 😂 Drinks very reasonably priced, DJ great and has great banter with everyone, definitely worth a visit👍😎. Can't wait to get back out there later this year as our trip (due out today 16.05.20)obviously got cancelled.... In the meantime, pop in and give it a try🍺

Definitely worth a visit, especially if you like lager, because that is only €1. It is also great for Karaoke, very lively atmosphere and well equipped with a swearing bloke. What more could you want?

Situated down little side street off main strip next to palladium, (my phone maps put it wrongly near to indoor Market) cheap as chips nice staff, karaoke on all day has anyone ranging from someone killing sweet Caroline to someone performing nessan dorma with absolute perfection!! Worth a visit

Not sure about the famous Black chicken there is always loads of people there but all you hear is Karaoke screaching. I wouldn't have thought for a minute they do food as you would never dream of eating here. The toilets leave a lot to be desired small and the tap doesn't work and no paper towels even if the water did work. I can understand why people go here as they probably like the Karaoke atmosphere but it's not my cup of tea

Yes,love the black chicken, no matter what problems or worries you have at home this place just takes you out of your day to day life & everyone sings & dancer's to the tunes some people are good singers some sound like chalk pulled down a blackboard but everyone sings along a great place to go

Everytime we are on holiday in Benidorm we visit The Black Chicken. This is a very down to earth karaoke bar with friendly staff and cheap drinks. For example, two gin and tonics cost 4.50€. The bar is very popular (often there is standing room only) with all age groups. Each time we have visited we have had an incredible time, meeting some lovely people. There is a large outside terrace, a DJ booth and plenty of seating inside. The tiled floors are cleaned regularly and the bar is appropriately decorated with chickens. Each night a Frank Gallagher (David Threlfall) look alike from the TV series Shameless is the resident DJ. He is a fantastic host and David has a great rapport with the audience and loves getting into the character of his alter ego 'Frank'. We would recommend The Black Chicken if you are looking for a fun bar.

Busy bar during the day...only thing that let's it down is the fact that it isn't built to hold that many...toilets are tiny and not the cleanest after getting smashed all day.

Sadly the Carling lager was flat but we changed to San Miguel 2 bottles for 3 euros. The staff were lovely and friendly and the atmosphere brilliant. If they get the Carling poured right it would get the 5 stars.

Great karaoke bar was very lively and had cheap drinks it was full when we went but we got a seat if you like karaoke this place is fab.

See a comedian, worth a visit

A bit out of the way and be careful not to be fooled by workers trying to get you into the bar 2 along from the black chicken, its compact and quite hot at busy times, but I found a spot near the aircon at end of bar or in the seated area outside, a decent karaoke bar with a good atmosphere

First time after hearing about the place all year. It was small and it was quicker to buy your drink from next door and bring it in. But it was a very fun place. I think it was €2 a pint. I would definitely recommend a visit at least once during your trip.

It's like many bars in Benidorm, busy! It's got busy times and quiet times. Bar staff are good, people find the DJ is entertaining. Can be a good place to meet new people.

Have been coming to this bar well over 20 years and it's still as mad as it was then 😂.. Great to have a quiet sing in the afternoon, and then at night it changes into a madhouse. Very busy and usually have to sit outside. Have also met some great people here over the years. Drink prices have gone up past few years , but then again they have everywhere. See you again tonight

Always good fun during the afternoon with music and karaoke on! The drinks are very cheap, they could be better quality as I believe the coke is out of the bottle but that’s what makes it a cheap drink!

I was there on Monday night with a hen party unfortunately the dj/ karaoke guy was so rude by making a comment over the mic about the future bride and caused upset we all left to go elsewhere and had an amazing night. This guy was something else like arrogant, disgusting man stay clear if he is on total idiot. Bar staff were brillant would be fair to say otherwise. Yes we can take a laugh but simply no excuse for rudeness and making people feel terrible-management need to get this sorted

It's just LOUD, full of drunken people trying to sing karaoke and doing a very bad job of it. Let's just say, we had one drink and left as quickly as possible. Never to be repeated... I didn't take photos as my camera would have curled up and died.

I've just come from there and I requested a karaoke song from a long time ago I go up too the person to ask when my song is and he was very rude about it and chucked my name to the side and said nothing. Thought It was a good place but obviously no, went in there again and was really good and was no problem maybe I judged everything too soon

Drinks expensive, specially when a drinks board states 2 spirits for 4 euros and they ask for 10 euros for 2 wasn't sure how the math worked out. No food served like they're used to be its basically just a bar that is actually quite grotty and not very clean looking, horrible loud karaoke to the point me and my partner couldn't hear us talking to each other I mean this is OK at night you expect it but this was 12 midday. Just no chill we walked quite far to visit actually but won't make that mistake again, found so so many fantastic little bars and so many amazing places to eat and drink don't waste your time or money here!!

Horrible. It's the only place we paid a lot for a so-called pink gin n Tonic. It tastes nothing like gin. And it was a very odd colour. The man who played the music, etc, from bargain loving brits, apparently, was so fouled mouthed. I'm no prude at all, but he wasn't good. Never again.

Lady who served us was very rude and she made us pay an extra 50 cents per person than advertised to “cover costs of card transactions” this was not mentioned anywhere in the bar.

Bribed into going to this bar. Oh it was dreadful! Flat tonic ….not good. A little bit of fag ash optional. However, the barmaid assured us that she would look after us with a wink! 😉 Worst karaoke singers ever! It was an experience….but I’m certain I won’t be back!
