Il servizio è attento e cordiale, gestito con passione da uno staff che fa sentire ogni ospite il benvenuto. Data la sua popolarità, è consigliabile prenotare per assicurarsi un tavolo. Dahlak Bergamo Reviews
Absolutely incredible in every way! We turned up without a booking (rookie mistake) and we were fortunate enough to get their 1 free table! Book in advance so as not to be disappointed. To start we had the sambusa and tamia veg with hummus and berbere - simply delicious. For main we shared the enjera meat combo and it was just incredible. Then, to help with digestion a herbal tea which tasted like Christmas in a cup! This family run business is an absolute must in Bergamo! If we could give more than 5* then we absolutely would - exceptional.
Wow so glad I found Dahlak but disappointed I didn't find it until my last night. We ate from the stall they had at the international food festival and myself and my partner (non vegan) food was fantastic and so tasty. They had 3 vegan options on the stall and an appetiser. Thank you Dahlak! Didn't take any pictures as we were enjoying the food too much! Super friendly and helpful staff too ⭐️
Excellent Eritrean cuisine spot. A longtime staple in the city's ethnic restaurant scene, the place was then renovated and expanded. Family-run, it offers great food, a friendly and warm atmosphere and great service. The prices are very reasonable. Good vegetarian and vegan options.
Food was delicious, spiced tea was amazing and atmosphere was unique. Verry helpful and nice staff, eager to help and recommend what to eat. I left restaurant very happy and satisfied. One of the best dinners I had
This is one of the two best ethiopian restaurants I have tried in Europe. Their vegetarian dishes (we had the Veggie combo) are full of flavour with the right level of spices. The couple who owns/runs the restaurant is warm and welcoming and we enjoyed the efforts put into decorating the restaurant. We still dream of the homemade spice tea made with local spices: it was fabulous!
This has to be one of the best family restaurant that I have tried! We had a great experience… my son don’t like spicy food much…. But here he eat all starters. Brilliant traditional tea and beer you must go there if you like African food👏👏👏
Lunch today was the third - perhaps fourth - time that I have eaten at Dahlak over the past 12 years or so. I live in a different city and it takes me about an hour to reach the restaurant in Bergamo: if they were in my city I would eat there monthly! The welcome and service are warm and friendly. The vegetarian food options are several but I usually get the vegetarian combination platter that includes a sample of each of the vegetarian dishes. The waiter (the son of the couple who started the restaurant and who still cook there) speaks excellent English as well, obviously, as fluent Italian. The menu is available in both languages. Bergamo is very lucky to have such an interesting and excellent - and well-priced - restaurant!
When good food makes you feel good … it is excellent. The mom-son duo are a gem. Super friendly, patient service. The food is just … just … fantastique. It is one of the best Ethiopian-Eritrean food I’ve ever had in/ outside E. Africa. If you’re a fan of E food, come here. If it is your first time, DEFINITELY come, because it will blow your mind.
A wonderful experience with fantastic food. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind, the food was amazingly good and the restaurant is beautiful and clean. We had a meadi plate of enjera with zighni, kilwa, kitfo with some tamia and sambussa, plus some hummus and pepper sauces for dinner with sweet spice tea to finish. So much wonderful and spicy (by choice) food that we almost couldn't finish. The staff conversed with us perfectly in 3 languages and made us feel so welcomed. I love this place and can't wait to go back again and again.
Really beautiful restaurant. It is quite small, but it actually feels like a little pearl in the middle of Bergamo. It was completely unknown for me, but I wanted to try ethnical food and I decided for this. I have been amazed by the incredible kindness of the staff and by the very good food. I have tried typical Medìa with interesting South Africa wine. Suggested!
It is a little bit crazy that our night in Italy we had an african dinner. We didn't had a reservation(always call before you go) but the staff made everything possible so we had a nice dinner the last night. We took beyaynetu. Delicious and don't miss the tea! It is wonderful family restaurant.
