Giulietta Twenties Bergamo Reviews
Ate here twice in a week - not without reason. The seafood and steaks are 👌
Great place in Bergamo center, loved the host lady, very welcoming and helpful. Loved pasta carbonara and drinks, great limoncello spritz.
Beautiful location, excellent service, and a high-quality selection! We went with my sisters and had focaccia with pancetta cooked three times (delicious), tuna steak, fillet with green peppercorns, mixed fried fish, spaghetti with clams and bottarga, and a trio of tartare dishes! Everything was delicious! Highly recommended! Top!
I don't usually leave reviews, but this time I felt compelled to. A week ago, drawn by the uniqueness of this 1920s-style restaurant, we were intrigued and convinced to try it. What can I say: we've never been happier with our choice. As soon as we arrived, the girl at the counter gave us a tour of the place so we could decide whether we'd prefer to eat outside or indulge in the Charleston style. The waitresses were extremely kind, polite, and knowledgeable. The dishes arrived to everyone at the same time, beautiful to look at and of excellent quality (especially considering we all ordered different dishes and everything was seafood, both cooked and raw). The wine was chilled, at just the right temperature. Dessert was the perfect finishing touch. Reading other reviews, I found myself wondering if we'd eaten at the same place; I couldn't understand the criticisms about the food, service, and price. So tonight, we decided to try again: unlike lunch, the dining room was full, both inside and out, making it more difficult to manage. What can I say?!? I stand by my opinion and honestly allow myself three things: 1- I find the prices more than fair: we're in the center of Bergamo, in a quaint location, with impeccable service and top-quality food. The prices are clearly visible on the menu, with no surprises, except perhaps the discount at checkout. 2- The waiters are kind and polite, the service is more than reasonable (we started dinner at 9 pm and finished at 10:45 pm, enjoying our meal). They are friendly and, despite the masks, always smiling. The girl at the cash register is sweet, kind, and a pleasure to chat with. The head waiter is very friendly and experienced. One thing that struck me was that they (both they and the waiters) remembered me and my family, whom they had only seen the previous time. 3- The food, in my experience the fish, is clearly very fresh, the wine is from select wineries, perfectly chilled, and the dessert is truly the crowning touch of the meal. I haven't tried the rest yet, but I definitely will. I'm satisfied!
Very cozy and gourmet style restaurant in bergamo downtown
Great good and service
A lovely, well-kept place with a pleasant atmosphere. The service was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good and well-presented, although the value for money could be a little better. Overall, a great experience!
A trendy restaurant in the center of Bergamo, next to the paid underground parking lot, tastefully decorated and quite refined. We were a large group (nine people) and they reserved a round table upstairs for us. The service was good and the staff were friendly, with a wide selection of meat, fish, pasta, and pizza on the menu. We ordered a Fornarina to share while waiting for the main course. Very good, highly recommended. Honestly, I expected more from the main courses; they were well-presented but tasted average, nothing spectacular or original. The tagliolini with shrimp, pistachios, and sun-dried tomatoes were simple tagliolini with a sauce made with three shrimp and a few chopped pistachios. The desserts were very good. Good value for money considering it's a trendy restaurant in the center of Bergamo with a simple but carefully prepared menu. The only flaw was that the upstairs rooms were well-heated, but the downstairs was cold. We'll probably return for lunch!
Sounds good
We ordered it and we were very disappointed, we got the scallops which were $15 for 3 little scallops and the spinach that said it would come with were 3 leafs. I also got the casoncelli and unfortunately they were not the best. So expensive for and not worth it.
Terrible service. Food arrived after more than 1 hour delay. Other clients around us suffered the same fate. However, some arrived later than us and just waited a reasonsable time. They cant even organise their own kitchen it seems. Food is good but good luck enjoying it and having a good time after the wait. Worthless. Many good restaurants in the same área. Save your time.
€55 menu with a first and second course, water, and coffee (drinks not included). When I asked if the fish was fresh, I was told it was aged for 9 months. When I asked for about 4 or 5 wines, the restaurant didn't have them, trying to bring us only wines they had on hand. They were rather arrogant, and I've never seen such terrible service. The restaurant itself is nice, but an €84 bill (including drinks) for what we ate and the waiter's incompetence is definitely too much.
Bad choice 😞
Staff at the door really rude wouldn't let me and my friends in, don't want to accuse of racist behaviour but that's what felt like! I know remember why sadly I left my country and hometown.
too expensive and small portions. Service fee 4€ per capita, firstly waiter brought us a bottle of water, but didnt mention its price neither it was in the menu. In the end we found out that it costs 3 euros per bottle For starters they served us some bread but it was obviously not fresh. In the restaurant we didnt get any English menu, it was too hard to understand what they serve. Terrible service.
Not the best. Over-charged for Coperto we didn't get, & were not offered. For locals only is my guess, we were an inconvenience.
Terrible service and really high prices. I was treated like a pleb and definitely won't go there again. I advise you stay away from these rude people.
