Il Colosso Di Rodi Bergamo Reviews
A true corner of Greece in Bergamo! 🇬🇷 The atmosphere is meticulously crafted, colorful, and welcoming, making you feel like you're truly on vacation. The staff is young, friendly, and always smiling, ready to recommend the best dishes. The portions are generous, and every dish is a discovery of authentic flavors: from the first to the last, everything is delicious! The selection of Greek wines and liqueurs is also absolutely worth trying. An experience worth repeating, highly recommended!
Discovered this restaurant with TheFork. The food was very good. The timing wasn't for a business lunch, but to enjoy the evening. We relied on their advice for the wine, and the selection was excellent. We'll definitely be back. The ingredients were top-quality, and the staff was always attentive to the smallest detail. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for a wonderful evening. 05/09/2025 We've been back, and the food is always top-notch. Now you can also enjoy an amazing aperitif. This place is highly recommended, the lamb is always top-notch.
I had the pleasure of dining at this Greek restaurant, and it was a truly exceptional experience. The menu offers a wide selection of traditional dishes. Each course was prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, and the authenticity of the recipes was evident. The staff is friendly, helpful, and ready to recommend the best dishes based on guests' tastes. The service was also quick and attentive, without ever being intrusive. The quality-price ratio was also excellent, considering the generous portions. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a true Greek gastronomic experience: I'll definitely be back!
The food at this restaurant is truly excellent, delicious, and above all, unfussy—just like it's made in Greece! The only oddity is that the pita gyros, the Greek sandwich we wanted to try, wasn't available because they don't make it on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday...absurd! They only make the most typical Greek dish during the week, which is a shame, especially since all the other diners were asking for it, but according to the waiter, on weekends the kitchen focuses on other dishes...well, it's a shame. It's like going to an Italian restaurant and they don't make pizza on the weekend! It seems like a questionable choice because they have all the ingredients to make pita gyros. Overall, an excellent restaurant with excellent food. Congratulations!
The food and service were amazing, very nice atmosphere and also very nice staff😁😁
Great Experience at Il Colosso di Rodi I recently visited Il Colosso di Rodi in Bergamo. Despite the restaurant being fully booked and our orders being a bit delayed, it was understandable due to the high demand. The wait was worth it! The food was delicious, especially the grilled meats and fresh Greek salad. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be back!
Some of the best food my friend and I had in Italy, definitely a hidden gem :)

Ristorante sconsigliato. Sala fredda, prezzi del menù online e poi ritrovati in loco eccessivamente maggiorati (3€ una bottiglietta da mezzo litro). Qualità del cibo scadente, insipido e per nulla cu…
Poor service. Food ok but rude staff.
IT'S A SHAME IT CAN'T GIVE ZERO STARS Preface: I went to this restaurant with the promise of a spectacular evening with a promising set menu of Greek dishes. The first problems emerged upon arrival, from the foul fishy smell to the reservation of a table for four set for the six of us. The set menu was less impressive than advertised: bruschetta instead of Greek appetizers, pasta with clams, and baked sea bream instead of grilled octopus. Furthermore, although the set menu was advertised as the only option, the adjacent tables were served dishes other than the never-mentioned à la carte menu. Skipping the bruschetta, which even a child wouldn't go wrong, the pasta was the real sore point: overcooked, cold, unsalted, and served with some seafood (not even cleaned) on top. Almost two hours after our arrival, with the first course plates still dirty on the table, we informed the manager of our desire to leave without Consume the second course. Despite his reluctance to charge us the full cost of the dinner, we managed to get a discount, but it wasn't enough to compensate for the poor quality of the dinner. The worst restaurant I've ever been to in the last 10 years.
One star is too much for the shit show of food and service it was tonight. We booked for a menu that never came. Worse was the staff trying to constantly scam you while paying the bill adding stuff you have not ordered, and later doing strange maths that do not equate to the correct amount. No wonder almost every table was upset, and some people just left.
Enjoy being sprayed with chamicals while you dine? Eat here! Part way through my meal, I felt a drip on my hands as I ate. I couldn't see anything obvious above me, so carried on. It wasn't until it happened a second time as I was finishing that I noticed the whirring noise and overpowering scent that accompanied it. Upon looking up and around, I noticed to my horror that there was a wall mounted timed automated fragrance sprayer above my table which had been dousing me and my food as I ate. I got straight up and confronted the staff who insisted it wasn't functional, despite it having got me twice. Needless to say, I felt rather unwell for the next couple of days. I wouldn't recommend the food which was largely over salted, lacking flavour and one dish featured hidden cocktail sticks, so watch out for those. The lighting was overly bright and the large TV with a frozen image seemed unnecessary. If you do eat here, avoid table 18 and check above where you eat. Best completely avoided if you value your health.
