Must visit if you are in Oakland. High quality food and amazing service. Great selection of specialty sandos. We had hot boy, Italian, turkey pesto, and garlic chicken. All the bread is good but the Dutch crunch is special. Also great selection of chip. Take out only.

As someone originally from New Jersey, finding a deli in California—especially in Oakland—was a refreshing surprise. Brother's Deli delivers a modern, spacious vibe, and while it doesn't offer in-house dining, they have a cozy seating area where you can wait for your food. Their menu covers all the classic deli sandwiches, with a few unique California twists. If none of the options catch your eye, you can always customize your own. Depending on the time of day, service can range from a quick 5 minutes to a more leisurely 25, but it's always worth the wait. The staff running the shop are incredibly friendly and consistently polite. If you're in the mood for a quality deli sandwich, Brother's Deli is the place to go.

Excellent food, friendly staff, and massive sandwiches! You’ll be full on half but want to eat it all. Very fresh boars head meats, soft rolls. My feedback to the sandwich makers is to go a little heavier on condiments and seasoning. Sandwiches were super tasty but nothing jumped out at us. Ordering online and picking it up when you get there it’s definitely the pro move. I’ll be back!

We have been super excited for this new deli to open in the neighborhood and it does not disappoint! The guys there are super friendly and the sandwiches are delicious. There’s a lot to choose from on the menu, including some tasty drinks. Today, we tried the classic Italian Sub with all the veggies and the Brothers’ Choice hot sandwich. Super happy to get a new food option and a fresh local business in the area.

So excited to have a delicious deli in the neighborhood! I've been working my way through the menu and everything is so good. Great quality ingredients and super friendly staff. They've only been open a few weeks and they do get busy so be prepared to wait, but don't worry it's well worth it. Great price for the portions too.

One of my favorite deli's in the bay area. Fire, fire sandwiches with tons of variety and the owner is a super chill guy. I only go to Oakland once in a while for work, but whenever I am there, an absolute must stop by. Get their mortadella pesto sandwich if you go.

So stoked to have a good deli in the neighborhood!! I asked for the veggie sandwich on Dutch crunch and it was delicious. My husband got the California club as a large (extra meat & cheese) and it was great. They have a solid selection of drinks, chips, and some candy/granola bars as well. They use semifreddi’s bread. As a vegetarian I’m glad they have the toast menu and can’t wait to try more. I stopped by the day before they opened and talked to the brothers (owners), i love to see a local family owned business and it sounds like they have plans to expand to have more drinks & ice cream.

I chose to make my sandwich. Toasted ciabatta bread,lettuce,Xtra tomatoes, pickles,onions, Xtra mayo,mustard,red peppers,mozzarella, turkey and pastrami. DELICIOUS!!! Enough food for two people.

Went in and got the Italian, bag of chips and a can soda with 10% tip came out to $22.50+- All out of the soft rolls. Had the Dutch crunch and I asked for it to be toasted which they forgot to do. Bread was cold dense and chewy. The rest was on point. No napkins in the bag though. So excellent drippy sandwich needs napkins. Plus no in place tables to sit at? That's why the less stars. I will try again though but I guess I will be clearer? Give them a try. Also forgot to take a photo but my sandwich tracked with the other photos.

I have been seeing this place since they opened a while back. So I finally gave it a try and I got the hot boy sandwich. And I can definitely say this is by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! And for such an amazing price! If you love sandwiches but can be somewhat finicky about them like me, this is the place to go! Delicious, portioned out perfectly, and fresh so fresh!

I've been meaning to drop by Brothers Deli for a few weeks now. The wait has been worth it. They offer freshly made deli sandwiches with good quality ingredients. You can order one of their custom sandwiches or make up one of your own. Service is quick and friendly. There is plenty of parking in a safe well traveled neighborhood. Matt says drop by and let these hard working folks know you support local businesses. You won't be disappointed.

Fresh, good servings, quick, tasty, clean. Four stars instead of five for the food itself because the bread is a bit stodgy. So glad they moved into this location!

Great local deli. The store was clean, the ingredients were fresh, and the staff was genuinely friendly. There’s a nice variety of hot and cold sandwiches, and it’s perfect for grabbing something on the go. I’d definitely come back again.

I have been seeing this place since they opened a while back. So I finally gave it a try and I got the hot boy sandwich. And I can definitely say this is by far one of the best sandwiches I have ever had! And for such an amazing price! If you love sandwiches but can be somewhat finicky about them like me, this is the place to go! Delicious, portioned out perfectly, and fresh so fresh!

The cheese and briny flavors were so good. The service was great as well. The cashier was so sweet and happy to see us. I wish they had a couple little tables and chairs! I would have totally enjoyed my meal there. The music was good and I liked the mural inside. Add some places to sit and eat! Will def come back here. I for sure know how expensive it is to rent in Oakland so I will happily return here and support them. 😁😁😁

All deli are mostly boar's 🐗 head which makes most of them good but not all. Good to consider other brands and qualities. They have build-your-own deli (Subway like) too. Staff are super nice and responsive. Seating on the way to make the space even more vibrant. I wish they don't allow pet inside as I found during my visit a bit turnoff. It's accessible and free street parkings are available. Will be back to try more.

The staff was really nice! It was a steady flow of foot traffic which is always good to see. The price was $13.95 which was decent pricing. Some places try to charge too much for a sandwich so this was nice to see! They didn't have any seating inside but that could be because they can't. I didn't see a bathroom. They had the room for it. So that was a bummer. I ordered the hot boy sandwich. It was under hot sandwiches. I love spicy food and that was on point with flavor but they ran out of dutch crunch which was the bread listed for the hot boy. That was a disappointment. They really didn't have many other bread options. They were out! They only had basic bread. It was late in day (3-4pm) so I had to order sourdough. It wasn't toasted bread! That was really a disappointment 😞 I was surprised. So the sandwich was soggy. If it was toasted it would have been a great sandwich. I thought since it was under hot sandwiches it was automatically toasted. I know to make sure next time. They said they have been there for a year and half so they need to get it together. Keep bread in stock and toast the sandwiches please 🙏 overall great to have in oakland 👍

Good sandwiches but anytime you order ahead the sandwiches are never ready when you get there. They will start to make your sandwich as soon as you arrive even though you placed it before coming in. Been here many times and never once was a sandwich read at pickup when I arrived.

I'm glad we have a decent neighborhood sandwich option, but c'mon people, five stars? The sandwiches are good, pretty big, but also pretty ordinary. Sometimes that's what I need and this place hits the spot, but there are at *least* two full levels of quality a deli sandwich can achieve beyond these ones. I'd say I usually have to wait 15 mins for my sandwich when they're busy, so I'd recommend calling in your order.
