Wow! As a vegan with a non vegan coffee connoisseur, we both left fully satisfied. So peaceful, can sit down and have a coffee. I can’t believe all the pastry options they had for vegans and you can even go to the bakery next door as well

I live just a five minute walk from this eclectic coffee shop and park that has become like a second home. It seriously feels like a magical little pocket of Middle-earth, straight out of The Lord of the Rings. If you’re visiting, it’s an absolute must-see. I’m convinced it’s one of the most diverse coffee shops in the country, and it’s definitely one of the best places in Berkeley to strike up a conversation that somehow turns into hours of deep, philosophical discussion. It’s also the perfect place to either get work done, or just relax, unwind, and meditate under the trees. I’ve had some of my most unexpected, soul-expanding conversations here, often with strangers who feel instantly familiar. It’s hands down one of the most alive and welcoming spots I’ve ever known.

Love the hidden cafe at strawberry creek park 💖✨ definitely a gem and I really enjoyed my magic purple square paired with the chai latte, what a beautiful morning spot

☕️ 🍵 🌳 Charming small cafe with delicious drinks. The coffee is good and the turmeric latte is a great no caffeine option. Inside is small and usually packed. There is seating outdoors as well as a huge grassy field. Especially on a good weather day, it’s a ‘sticks place to be. It’s the perfect place to relax or meet a friend for coffee. Parking can be challenging but there’s usually a spot down the road or around the corner (both paid and non-paid).

The best oat cappuccino I've had in the Bay Area. The baristas are super friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy, both inside and outside - surrounded by greenery all around. I went back two days in a row, and if I lived nearby, this place would definitely be my second home.

super cute and truly easy to miss coffee spot. the inside was very cozy and homey. i had the Rasa chai which was delicious, and the sweet potato brownie was incredible

This café is right across from a small park, which gives it a really nice vibe. We usually go for the tea and coffee—not so much for the cakes or pastries, which are just okay. The menu is small, the drinks are good, and the view of the park makes it a great spot, especially on sunny days. It does get pretty crowded.

Thoughtfully designed Berkeley cafe, with a rustic Northern European feel. Wood finishes, brick exterior, high ceilings, dried flowers and house plants. A treat to read or work from, with a park immediately adjacent if in need of a break. Coffee, top-notch.

Great study cafe spot! Good lighting, seating, Free WiFi, outlets, yummy drinks/food. Only wish there was more seating and it was easier to access the bathroom- you have to wait for a key and go to a separate building. Great outdoor seating options too if it’s a nice day out. Pretty crowded when I went there and feels quite small inside when everyone is occupying a seat at the one big table inside. Worth it! Recommend! I plan to come back :)

this place is so cute! love the decor it feels super cozy. there’s not a ton of seating space but it’s still nice to hang out and do work or chat. love the ceramics too. the drinks were good! i got a flat white with soy milk and it was well done. the coffee cake and carrot cake were pretty good, definitely giving homemade. the carrot cake was quite earthy. there was a good cinnamon sugar layer in the coffee cake. i would come back for the cute vibes! and try more of the other drinks and baked goods :)

The cutest cafe / coffee shop at the edge of strawberry creek park. The vibes here are amazing. Great place to bring a book and read for the afternoon on a nice day. There is an indoor communal table and some counter seating but indoors seating is limited. The baristas were super friendly and happy to give a recommendation on what to order. Breakfast options: quiche (very good), cheddar scallion scone, mini vegan donuts and full size donuts, and other Morning pastries baked in-house. Drip coffee was fresh, not too acidic. They do chef pop-ups Friday-Sunday, and will definitely be back to try those. Would give this place SIX stars if I could.

A very cute coffee place located right next to the park. Some seating available inside and outside. They had a machine blowing bubbles outside, creating a very cute atmosphere. Service was friendly. I had the Kokuto latte, I liked it. I definitely recommend this place and would come back!

Loved this coffee shop! It was one of our best finds in Berkeley! The service was quick and coffee tasted excellent. There's limited seating indoor but there's a huge park with benches and tables outside. You can collect your coffee at the counter and stay for as long as you'd like. Their pizette is a must try!

Delicious food, wonderful people, and a perfect park-side setting. Though it's not visible from the street, Hidden Café is absolutely worth the tiny bit of effort to find. We had the Avocado Toast (excellent flavor & textures; generous serving), Portobello Tacos (delicious vegetable mix; great mix of flavors), and a coffee cake muffin. Prices are remarkably reasonable - much less than you'd pay at similar places in Berkeley (e.g., Fourth Street; North Shattuck) with a FAR BETTER setting and atmosphere. There is indoor seating and picnic tables outside next to the park. Also, there are ample blankets for chilly days.

My favorite cafe in Berkeley! Vibes are immaculate, always busy (for good reason) but you can sit outside in lovely Strawberry Creek Park. Coffee is delicious, and I love the cheddar and scallion scones. I love to come here with a book and hang out in the park. Also there are always cute dogs!

If you need a place to go and work from? This is it. But better yet. If you need a place to go and read from? This is THE cafe for it. Cute, cosy, quaint. Combined with god coffee and workaholic energy of Berkeley students all around you? It’s lovely! And on a sunny day you can enjoy the park that is two steps away from it. Literally. (The only negative of the place is the lack of great sweet treats but hopefully they will improve one day too.)

Great meadow view. Loved the Kakuto latte (brown sugar). Chai has moderately strong cinnamon taste.

This place is so beautiful. There isn't a lot of indoor seating but on a nice sunny day its gorgeous. You can sit outside at one of the tables or the lawn. The latte was yummy. Would go again.

Pros: Amazing breakfast sandwich with delicious yellow sauce. Good coffee drinks too. Nice outdoor space. Cons: Obnoxious clientele, mostly the dog owners. Get out of the doorway. Get a leash. Control your animal. I love dogs but I also try to respect the other humans around me and appreciate when others do the same. Stop blocking the counter Becky.. Also they don’t start serving food until a few hours after they open and aren’t in any sort of hurry. Not all of the other food was that great, breakfast burrito was very forgettable.

Great cafe next to a park, very "Berkeley" style. coffee, tea and hot chocolate offerings are good, but the carrot cake I got was cold, dry and bland. There are many bakery resources in Berkeley, and a great cafe deserves better carrot cake. There are often no tables available, because many guests work there for hours in their laptops. It adds to a quiet atmosphere, but also dehumanizes and clogs social dynamics.

The inside is cute, but know that the cafe is more setup for you to sit outside in the park. The inside seating is 1 communal table, so not always good to meet someone for coffee and talk inside. Biggest flag is that the cake in the display had mold growing in the icing layers :/ it was just the display, but it didn’t leave me feeling good about the pastry I ate.

Tissue napkin paper found in my iced chai latte. August 30th 1:56pm made by a guy with black? hair. All of the milk options are sitting out not inside of a fridge. No have a nice day or thank yous here either lol.
