Poglia Berzo Demo (BS) Reviews
Three amazing and different dishes, the utmost hospitality and expertise, and a fantastic wine list. What more could you want?
Great experience. Stopped in for lunch and found the atmosphere to be well-kept, tidy, and very clean. The service and food were excellent. Highly recommended!
Found it by chance while traveling through Valtellina, great music, well-made and carefully prepared dishes. Excellent quality, I will return every time I pass by here!
The management recently changed, and they've raised the bar even further, and business lunches are particularly popular. Friendly, clean, and a refined atmosphere. Excellent food. All at reasonable prices. A must-try!
A nice place we had a business lunch, excellent service excellent food beautiful atmosphere especially the outside with river view.
I have to say I'm not a fan of nouvelle cuisine. Last night I celebrated my 20th wedding anniversary and returned to La Storia del Poglia. Stefano was there for the first time, and last night we were welcomed by his son Filippo. He offered a super-starred welcome, a politeness and management skills rare at his age (20 years old). The appetizer he recommended was delicious, the Angus appetizer was truly delicious, the peppered fillet my daughter had, and the salmon I had were indescribable. I didn't get to try the first courses because I was full, but the reviews were very positive. La Storia del Poglia is an oasis in the desert. Unfortunately, the town offers little, and maintaining a high rating is not easy. Congratulations to Filippo and all the staff. I never give 5 stars to everything because I always think there is better, but here they deserve recognition.
We were just passing through, but there were four of us (2 adults and 2 children). Three first courses, one meat-based second course, two bottles of water, two desserts, and two coffees totaled €50. They didn't charge for the water, I'm not sure if they forgot or because the place has only recently opened and they're trying to get their name out there. But it was excellent. If you're passing by, stop by for a bite. They have a set menu with just a few excellent courses.
From Liguria for work. Found by chance, the restaurant was a pleasant discovery: good food, impeccable service, and a relaxing, breezy veranda overlooking the stream! Interesting lunch menu. The wine list is limited but refined, with a not-so-obvious selection of local wines. I'd be curious to try the evening special. Highly recommended.
We had an excellent mid-week lunch here. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the staff was among the friendliest that we’ve come across. They even came out to find us as we were getting on our bikes to ride away and gave us some apple strudel they had packed for our ride. Don’t hesitate in going here!
A modern, elegant restaurant offering dishes from a modest menu, but with above-average quality and refinement. The staff is qualified and, we agree, knows how to put guests at ease in a friendly atmosphere. It's a shame the location isn't exactly central, but it's not that out of the way after all!
Go there for the risotto and ask advice for their wines. Food is great.
Five of us had a family dinner. The place was surprisingly half-empty, even though it was a Friday night. The service was attentive and courteous, not intrusive. I had tuna al taglio for an appetizer, which was good but not exceptional, followed by an excellent main course of salmon, bacon, and asparagus tips (truly excellent). For dessert, a homemade ladyfinger with mascarpone. The location is elegant and modern. Definitely recommended!
