Brick & Tin Downtown Birmingham Reviews
This restaurant has a nice ambiance being in an older repurposed building downtown. It was a cold evening so we were grateful for the ability of valet parking. The service was friendly and professional. The food choices were varied and all options chosen by our party were prepared well and delicious.
Fantastic food in a casual but very welcoming atmosphere. I had the brisket panini. The sauce created a perfect balance to the generous portion of briske.
Great little place for a panini and soup, one of the best we found in downtown Birmingham
Beautiful interior and use of space. You order before seating yourself or can use the fool service bar. The food is amazing! You can tell it's fresh and they take pride in what you are served. Made to order dishes that are well thought out and complement each other fantastically. We visited on a chilly winter day and were delighted with the warm comfort of their lunch options. Definitely will return! The staff are friendly and attentive. We even took a to go order a co-worker placed online back with us. They worked on it immediately after receipt printed. Just such a good vibe here. Try it!
Really enjoyed the Ham and Cheese and the Salad. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were delicious. It’s a great spot for a high-quality meal. I’ll definitely be back.
Brick & Tin in Birmingham continues to prove why it’s such a standout. Everything we ordered was thoughtful, comforting, and executed at an incredibly high level. We started with the Harvest Farms Collard Green Dip, and it was unreal. A rich, cozy blend of butternut squash and creamed collard greens, baked until bubbly with three cheeses, then served with warm, toasted focaccia. It was hearty, savory, and just indulgent enough—Southern comfort meets fall flavors in the best possible way. The kind of appetizer you keep “just one more bite”-ing until it’s gone. The butternut squash soup was silky, perfectly seasoned, and deeply satisfying—pure comfort in a bowl. The Chicken & Tin sandwich was exceptional: flash-fried chicken, crispy and juicy, layered with house-made pickles, Swiss, and a tangy honey mustard on soft pain de mie flatbread. Perfect balance, perfect bite. And the Fall Turkey Melt sealed the deal—smoked turkey, melty Swiss, chopped collards, and a bold remoulade on rye. Smoky, savory, and soulful, it felt like fall on a plate. Brick & Tin delivers elevated comfort food with heart, soul, and serious flavor. If you’re in Birmingham and don’t eat here, you’re doing yourself a disservice. This place is special.
Excellent menu. Food was fantastic. I was with a group of 5, all different orders. I had the Tuscan sandwich with a side of fruit. Others ordered the butternut squash soup which was loved.
I got the salmon wraps and you assemble them yourself, which threw me off at first, but it was DELICIOUS. The salmon was cooked and seasoned so well!!! My husband got a turkey melt and Mac and cheese, also DELICIOUS 🫶🏼 will be back again!!!!!!!!!
Definitely worth a visit in Birmingham. The food is incredibly flavorful, savory, and portioned to fill you up but not make you feel like a gluttonous slob. Ten out of ten for quick, delicious, healthy-ish (if you want) food. Brisket sandwich with the faro salad, worth it.
Brick & Tin in Birmingham strikes a pleasing balance between casual charm and conscientious cuisine. From the start, you sense its farm-to-table ethos: the menu emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and humane, additive-free meats. One of the highlights is how flexible they are: soups, paninis, salads, small plates, and full entrées provide enough variety to satisfy both light-lunch seekers and diners craving something more substantial. Their brisket panini draws particular praise—tender meat, caramelized onions, and a well-balanced sauce—while seasonal soups (especially the butternut squash) are often lauded for their comforting warmth and depth.
Great lunch spot in downtown Birmingham. I what’s getting my haircut and had some time to grab a quick lunch. This was the perfect spot. I had the brick & tin chicken sandwich. IT WAS SO GOOD. It had their homemade pickles and homemade honey mustard on a delicious flat bread. Wow. Another star on the menu is the pea salad. It is a cold salad of different peas, tomatoes, and cucumbers. So good. I wanted more. I can’t wait ti go back when I have more time to enjoy other times.
Came here since I've been craving brisket. Got the brisket sandwich with a classic salad. Gotta say, damn that's a good sandwich. Brisket was just right, and the onions were sweet and moist. In house made bread was absolutely superb. Overall excellent experience with service as good as the food. Lovely location and nice building. Only real downside is finding parking is a bit of a chore.
This place rocks!! The staff was so friendly and helpful. The setting is fresh, clean, and hip. The food Ahhhh-Mazing I ate it too fast to take a pic because it just looked and smelled too good I couldn't wait to chow down. I wish I would have known about the 20% online order coupon. I would have ordered beforehand and picked it up. I'm only in town for two days so won't be able to use the offer but here is a pic for all of you. The chocolate bread pudding 😮😮😮😍😍 there are no words to describe how yummy this treat it is, it is a rich dense dish, I recommend sharing and adding extra whip cream which tasted home-made as well. I added more pics to main gallery as well. But if you are in Birmingham I HIGHLY recommend eating here.
Visited this location for lunch. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff was very friendly. I had the brisket sandwich which while good was not in my opinion worth $20+. This is hard because I think people have just excepted that you are going to pay higher prices for sandwiches based on where the restaurant is located. I had never been here before and will most likely not return on my own. It was good but just not what I will choose to spend my money on in the future. This is my opinion and should not sway anyone from going and making their own decisions on how they do or don’t like the food.
