Black Sheep Coffee Roasters Bishop Reviews
This place has an amazing atmosphere and phenomenal drinks. I ordered a hot chai latte and it was perfectly creamy as well as at an actual drinkable temperature (so you don’t have to burn your mouth). It is, without a doubt, one of the best chai lattes I’ve had, if not the best. The atmosphere here is remarkable as well (The picture does not do it justice. You have to come here yourself!). The walls hold numerous paintings as well as photographs of local areas, all beautifully done. Overall, this place did not disappoint one bit. Without a doubt, I will be coming back here on my next trip to Bishop. I am truly grateful I found a place as unique as this one.
Super great vibes and delicious drinks and breakfast burritos. I had the banana bread latte and it was incredible. Actually tasted like banana bread, was so fragrant and warm. It’s spacious inside and good place to study. The breakfast burrito was warm and the tortilla was perfectly soft.
I’ve been coming to Black Sheep Coffee since the old location. Still my go-to for the best coffee in town. Bishop’s grown, and there are definitely more options these days, but let’s be honest, if you care about espresso drinks, this is the only place that matters. Not trying to sound nostalgic or overly loyal but I am. And I’ll keep coming back.
I loved the coffee, the vibe, and all the art there! The people are great! It was my first time stopping by, and I had a wonderful experience. I’ll stop by again! Delicious espresso!
We always hit this place on our way to and from mammoth! Drinks so good and espresso/flavor forward. Also loved their fall matcha ☺️🍁 also their beans are very good aswell!
Wonderful coffee and great service! They have a variety of options of coffee, tea, and other treats. It's very cozy inside. We'll be coming back!
Staff is amazing! First time in town and had the dirty chai latte and it’s great ! Vanilla latte is also amazing! 100/10 would recommend to stop by <3
Great coffee friendly staff and good snacks and neat souvenirsrecommend for people to try it if you’re passing through Bishop or live here.
Came here after a night of camping for breakfast, coffee, and a space for my fiance to take a quick work meeting. Our dog enjoyed the outdoor patio space. Tasty drinks, reliable wifi, great atmosphere, and friendly staff! The vegan burrito was great. Highly recommend for a stop in the Bishop!
Every summer we come to Bishop, first time here. Very cute coffee place. Definitely will be adding it to our family rhythm. Coffee is delicious with the house made syrups.
Quality service, coffee is great, can drink it without sweetener, their chai is spiced perfectly. We got suggested to try the orange bread (I typically don’t like citrus in pastries) it was really good.
Coffee 4/5, service 5/5, ambience 6/5, view outside 10/5. A sublime rest stop on the America’s most beautiful road.
I’m very picky when it comes to coffee. I saw this place has good reviews based on that went to grab a coffee and yes this place deserves 5+ stars. I ordered cortado which is in between cappuccino and espresso macchiato not every person and place knows how to make it. Anyways I got a great coffee. Tasted fresh and delicious. Customer service was amazing too.
The best coffee we have ever had in the US. It is such a treasure in this beautiful valley. My husband tried the drip coffee and he was so impressed with the fruity flavor. No doubt this shop roasts its coffee beans very professionally! We immediately decided to get three packs of the coffee beans. The lavender latte is also incredibly tasty. It was the second time I tried it, and I have never had this kind of flavored latte anywhere else. It's definitely my favorite. 😍 This is a very high-quality coffee shop. Love it!
I always stop here when needing coffee in the area. Their oatmilk lattes are very good. Frothy and creamy. Staff is always very friendly and welcoming.

I love this place, welcoming and very much a trademark of Bishop. My cortado was so good I drank two back to back!
Relaxing on the patio with an amazing vegan breakfast burrito and coffee for the second day in a row at Black Sheep Coffee in Bishop. Perfect.
Really chill vibes - places to sit and enjoy a conversation with friends or work a bit. I particularly enjoyed both their mocha and banana bread lattes. I had them with oat milk and they were extremely smooth - not too syrupy, not too milky. Would highly recommend coming here if you’re in town and need a good drink!
Awesome coffee shop. The vibe is great and the people are friendly. My wife and I stopped here on the way to Lake Tahoe. There’s probably not a better coffee shop from Bishop to LA.
Love the place, coffee is delicious. I got the the pour over it is amazing. Barista gave me a small cup of the drip to try since my drink takes a minute. 10/10 experience will be back.

Best coffee ever!!!! Popped into town and wound up at the Black Sheep Coffee Roasters for a quick fix before getting back on the road. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere lovely.

Espresso shots were extracted well. Unfortunately they were all out of the banana syrup which was the biggest reason we came here for. The matcha drinks were not mixed well at all though; clumps of matcha were everywhere. The cold foam was just straight up heavy cream, no air whipped in it or sweetness. Still, the coffee shop was cute and the drinks were ok.

K, I'm gonna write this with a smile and a bit of humor. Cus the there's a catch to this 4 star review. TL;DR Coffee & food awesome, good vibes, heaven help you if you need to go to the bathroom in any rush here after coffee haha The front end is positive. The coffee here is superb, barista was super friendly, and I love their burritos. Great local spot I enjoy visiting every time I'm in Bishop. The back end whew ...heaven help you if you have to go to the restroom in town on a busy day! I drank their coffee, soooo of course I'm gonna need to go #2 soon after. Everyone knows how that goes. I wait in line at the restroom around the back side for an eternity behind someone taking their sweet time inside, and one timid person ahead of me who didn't wanna knock on the door to check cus the barista didn't have the key. Meanwhile there's an employee loading groceries into the back room. Eventually the gal ahead of me gives up and the guy with the key (blue felt hat you know who you are lol) comes out and sheepishly (see what I did there😉) says "you'll need more TP, they're out" before handing me the key. Now I'm on the hunt for help to find TP. Employee restocking says she's not sure where more is at, maybe "next door" and she'll be a minute. Now I'm unsure how much Black Sheep is supposed to manage this bathroom, but I was polite and simply asking for help cus your amazing coffee has me doing the do do dance 🤦♂️😆 Exasperated, I drop the key with another hapless guest in need of relief behind me and sprint to the public restrooms a block away. After waiting in line there, FINALLY, problem solved. What a morning!
