Manna Grill Bloomington Reviews
We sat at a BBQ table, and we ordered the marinated short ribs, spicy Korean BBQ pork, cheese corn, and Kimchi soup. EVERYTHING was the best we've had! The soup was spicy with layers of flavor, the meat was marinated to perfection, and the cheese corn was a yummy dessert! We will be returning!
I truly enjoyed my time at this place. While the BBQ tables come at a premium, I believe the experience is well worth the cost for several reasons. Having spent considerable time in Asia for work, I can attest that this restaurant offers an authentic Asian dining experience. The food itself is genuine enough, definitely suitable for the average American palate, but it’s the overall dining experience that really stands out. In the U.S., most restaurants prioritize a quick turnover, delivering fully prepared meals designed to be consumed quickly. Diners are often nudged to finish up and leave, making way for the next paying guests. In contrast, many Southeast Asian cultures embrace a slower dining pace, often spending two or more hours at the table. Here, groups gather around a hot pot or Asian-style BBQ - actively cooking their meal together. This involvement keeps everyone engaged and drastically reduces the temptation to check their phones. As a result, meaningful conversations flow naturally. If you’re looking to connect with co-workers or share a smile with family, I highly recommend this style of dining. It offers a rare opportunity to step away from the fast-paced norm and enjoy a genuine, interactive experience.
I like the glass noodles, which is chewy and flavorful. We ordered three-people BBQ combo, and that’s much enough for four people. Pancake was tasty and authentic but a bit salty.
I absolutely adore, love, and cherish this restaurant! Never had a bad experience with Mama’s. The food here never disappoints, never! My friend and I come here almost every week because their dishes are so good. The gimbap is authentic and delicious, and that’s only an appetizer! Our staple meal order of kimchi stew, japchae, and galbi never misses. Even when we occasionally try something new, the food is always high quality. The prices are also very reasonable! The first time I went was with three other friends; we each ordered our own meals and shared two appetizers with drinks. The total was surprisingly low for how good the food was! It’s such a great environment to enjoy a meal with friends and family. They also play a fantastic K-pop playlist while you dine! I love the staff and management; they’re always open, friendly, and accommodating. This is definitely the best Korean place in Bloom—places on Kirkwood do not compete
You can never go wrong with kbbq and this place satisfies that craving. The waitress always working there is also very kind and greets every customer with a smile and also makes sure to say goodbye every time too. The banchan is always good too.
Very tasty and full of flavors. It's our first time there, ordered from regular.menu, Kimbap (seaweed roll with bulgogi and vegetables), beef bulgogi and vegetables stir fry. Loved all of them! Small cold dishes came with all orders.
Best Korean BBQ in Bloomington. Good Korean food when you are looking to fill your Korean food cravings like my family. This is already our second time and we will soon be regulars. Just be a little patient with the service since they are running short staffed.
We were very happy with our food. We were in and out in less than 50 minutes. We ate in the restaurant side, not the barbecue, which we were told would take longer. The small side dishes were great and added a lot to the dinners.
We got there at 3:30pm so the place was so empty. But the foods were very good and the service was pretty nice too. No complaints to make..
Buddy and I spent $100 dollars there. Worth every penny. Took my buddy there and had the spicy pork bellies and chicken, a few beers and the cost added up quick. The food was so good that its my version of heroine addiction now. I cant wait to visit again.
If you’re in b-town, you MUST come here. Amazing food. 10/10 Service. Wonderful staff and manager. Literally the best kbbq in Indiana and totally worth it!
Best Korean BBQ in town. Their rib eye and pork belly are our favorite. The portion size is wondeful (we had three people and ordered Combo serves 2) The dishes are all tasty. The staffs are friendly and super responsive. Don’t hesitate to visit if you’re craving for Korean food. Their lunch special kimichi pork belly sauté is also delicious. 💗
I ordered the Full Dinner Bulgolgi for $17.99. The "bulgolgi" refers to marinated and grilled ribeye strips (so delicious). The "full dinner" means they also bring soup and the eight small sides (which they offer to refill). The soup is very rich and spicy with beef and tofu and jalapenos in a miso paste broth. The meat and soup are both excellent, but the sides are an adventure all to themselves. The little white dishes hold a range of surprises from some gelatinous thing in a sesame sauce, to tuna macaroni salad I swear just like my grandma made, to some spicy kimchi that will clear your sinuses. There's also these amazing roasted potatoes in a sweet syrup, and a very loose and creamy cabbage/carrot/zucchini slaw. I think my favorite was the sticky noodles with peanuts. The massive variety of tastes and heat and texture at my table right now is simply glorious. I'm not very familiar with Korean cuisine, but I came here tonight hoping for a delicious escape. I am not disappointed.
Pleasantly surprised with how the food tasted. I got the spicy ramen soup. It was delicious and it came with broccoli, pickled vegetables, and kimchi on the side. The only minor gripe I have is the metal chopsticks. They are very slippery to use. Service was great and I enjoyed every minute there.

Absolutely wonderful service and incredible food. I came with my partner and we had such a great time. Everyone here was very nice and polite with us, and I cannot express it enough, this food is amazing. Definitely adding it to my list of favorite restaurants.

I ordered the Jajangmyeon and a kimbap with a coke. 6 banchans were available. Everything was slightly different, but due to local produce and flavors, I expected as much. It still was delicious and very satisfying. They had Korean K-Pop playing and the staff spoke english, so there is no language barrier.
Server was nice but slow, I think it is because they were shorting people for work. Understandable. Was doing the BBQ, meat was marinated. Order a chicken stew or soup, was awesome.

The food was good. I ordered my usually where I cannot get back at home. My husband's order shrunk in size from a 1.5 month ago. I'm glad I'm not the only one who experience this as it happened to me in Oct/Nov last year and my husband said I was over reacting.
It's the little things, but right off the bat, the table's not clean. Also, if I'm paying $30+/person for a meal that I mostly cook myself (which is traditional of KBBQ), I expect the scissors to at least do their job. 가위좀 바꿔주셔요 ^^
What happened? Previously, the food actually tasted authentic and hearty. Now, it’s become inedible… I ordered 곱창전골 and what came out was not only the wrong cuts of meat, but a watery mixture of carrots and mystery vegetables. To top it off, one of our dishes came with 된장찌개 and while it was decent, it was definitely made by someone who had NO idea how to make it. It tasted way more like potato leek stew if anything. Please train your cooks better. Very disappointing.

Update: This place USED to be my favorite restaurant in bloomington. The last 2 orders have been awful. The kimchi stew had NO kimchee in it, old mushy potatoes, old vegetables and mushed tofu. It dissolves in your mouth. It was disgusting both times. The kimbab also tasted old. I am done with this restaurant, unfortunately, and no longer reccommend. I love this place and it definitely takes care of my kimchee cravings. I usually get the tofu kimchee soup and the kimbab. Don’t miss out on the kimbab! I found the noodle salad to be a strange choice to put in with the rest of the portions- I definitely didn’t eat it but everything else is perfect! Every time I’ve ordered takeout from them, it’s ready quickly and delivered PIPING hot. Everything is fresh and great as leftovers until its gone.
