Recently stopped in Childress and needed an hour to charge the Tesla. My wife and I decided to try out this establishment and were very happy we did. The building and low key environment are deceiving as the food was fantastic. Very friendly owner/staff made for a great stop and we will definitely stop again the next time we pass through!

I'm a truck driver and I have been coming here for the last month. So if your a Driver stop by Thai Kitchen you will not be disappointed. There is parking truck parking at the gas station next to it. One of the best spicy chow mein noodles I have tasted. I love spicy food the one that makes you sweat. That how you know it's spicy. I've been to restaurants were you tell them to make it spicy and get disappointed by the spice level. If your passing through stop by and grab a bite to eat, the staff is super nice and the place is clean. I'm trying out the menu, let's see what I try next week.

Unfortunately, the dish was quite greasy with more oil than sauce, and I had to attempt draining it throughout my meal. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the food as the components of the dish complimented each other. This restaurant is definitely a solid option while passing the cozy town of Childress with limited Thai food options.

Food was great! We got takeout and took it to our motel after a long day of driving. We did not call in our order, but it was ready quickly. We will definitely eat here again when we are in Childress.

Seafood soup is delicious here! Other entrees I’ve had are not so good though. Fried rice looks like plain brown rice.

A very pleasant surprise. The food tasted way better than what we had expected. The restaurant itself could be a little cleaner but the food was great.

Love their food.! But it has changed in flavor since it first opened. They have updated some on the inside and expanded their menu. The food is always good.! It’s just my usual has been missing a certain flavor or spice. But it’s still amazing.!

We were searching for about 3 hours for somewhere to stop on our road trip and this place popped up. So happy we stopped in! Great food, kind and fast service, nice quiet environment! The veggie delight was delish!

We ordered Ladna and Pad Thai. Ladna was great. Nice thick gravy, great noodles; still managed to spill my box of it even after being warned. Pad Thai tasted like lo mein to us, we didn't eat much of it since the Ladna was so much better. Their AC has not been working and I feel so terrible for the employees. The woman who helped me was very kind even in that environment. Definitely a take out place for now.

Called to ask about holiday hours this morning, daughter came in and wanted Thai. Was told they were closing at 5. Arrived at 3:30. Sign on the door that they closed at 3. Has definitely gone down under current ownership.

When asked, the so-so waitress said “it’s 1%”. But that’s just not true!

Good service and quickly filled the order but the pad thai tasted like nothing and had no spice at all, pad see ew is made with flour noodles not rice noodles and has no wok sear or anything else. I hesitate to call this Thai food

There food was ok (barely) but I would definitely not call it authentic. The sauces lack Thai seasonings and are watered down. They also seemed to charge more than what the prices stated.

It honestly breaks my heart to write this review, but I was disappointed in the food I got recently. I grew up in Childress and Thai Kitchen was THE spot for Asian food over Chinese Buffet. The food has gotten worse since I moved away and they’re always out of something. This last time, I got pad ci u and crab rangoons. The pad ci u used to be amazing! This last time, the noodles were soggy and tasteless. I also asked for no beans sprouts and they still put sprouts in. The crab rangoons honestly broke my heart. They are stingy with the sauce and filling now. It sucks seeing such a nostalgic spot for me go downhill.

Went in today and the staff was rude. When asking for napkins or a side of sauce they replied that there was no sauce (how is there no sauce when it’s served with every dish that type?) and gave us 1 napkin between several people. Considering only teenagers work here I guess it’s their state of mind being young and inconsiderate. Not complaining about the food, just the service. Food is great, but they need to take a look into the people they hire!

We came here based on the rating. We were fooled. Altough the servers were nice it showed they lacked training and were not experienced. We waited a very long time for them to take our order. Then a long time to get our meal. When we did finally have food in front of us it was very bland. No flavor to the Mongolian beef or go se me. The curry was not worth mentioning either. I just recommend you dont have any expectations if you eat here.

We arrived as a party of 4. When we told the waitress 2 more would be joining us she was rude and mumbled them said she guessed it was ok. Then we ordered. Many things were out of stock. She brought most of the food out. She forgot what 2 people ordered and it took them a while to even get there food. The fried rice was not good. Very bland. Even with seasonings, I could only eat a couple of bites. I finished my drink and she never came back to check on us. 4 of us and empty glasses. Then we needed to check out. We needed separate checks. She was struggling toneun them so asked us to come up to the counter, so we did. I got my receipt and it wasn't itemized. I asked if I could get an itemized one and she said she'll get it to me when she is done. She then threw it at me. The receipt wasn't even itemized, so I asked for the menu to get pics of what I ordered. The menu prices were different than what the receipt showed. She got an attitude again when I was trying to figure out a solution. At that point I just cut my losses and left. I was starving still so we went to another restaurant and ate and had a much better experience. If you are looking for Thai food, this isn't it. If you are looking for good customer service then avoid Thai Kitchen. Go to The Plaza or G-10s instead.

The food was not good. Neither was service. Menu prices were inaccurate ($12.99 instead of $8.99 for the pad thai, which tasted nothing like actual pad thai). They were out of Thai tea, curry, panang...I hardly ate my meal, it was so bad.... Server never checked up on us. She got mad at my coworker while we were checking out and threw the receipt at her.

I hate leaving bad reviews but this place needs to be put out of business for sanitary reasons. Possibly the dirtiest most disgusting restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. We went to this a Thai place as we were driving through Childress TX. The AC is out while it’s 106 degrees outside so we got our food to go. They charge 10% to use a credit card. My kids who will eat anything took one bite and threw out the rest. Paid $40 for 2 dishes and the worst smell I have ever smelled. I wouldn’t eat here again even if they paid me .

Over charged me for a meal. Paid over 10 bucks for a regular kai pow chicken plate and I asked for a side of steamed rice. Got my plate and they gave me a combination plate I didn't order with a egg roll. Combination plate is 7.49 and they charged me 10.81. Every time I come here they mess up my order..im done with this place esspecially waiting 40 mins for my meal after they said it would take 15 to 20 mins. Horrible service

Bad service, I called and they hung up on me. I called again and she asked how she could help me and I began to order then she told me to hold on and started giggling to someone and saying “hold on, stop, stop” then she asked me again how could she help. I ordered and ended getting the wrong order, after repeating myself twice. I came back up here and told them about the mess up and told me I had to pay half price for the order I wanted in the first place. Maybe if she wasn’t lollygagging we would have had our order correct the first time. I just paid extra for no reason, especially something I did not want. Not only that but she was super sassy and rude when I told her it was wrong.

Completely unacceptable behavior. We left hungry, disrespected, and disgusted. If I could give -10 stars, I would.
