Hungry Bull is honestly one of the (if not the) best burger restaurants I’ve been to. This place does not rest on its laurels. Every week they have a new gourmet burger, the food is cooked to perfection, and the service couldn’t have been more friendly and attentive. They are also BYOB and have a great liquor store next door that is filled with hard to get beers. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice homey atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and support this top notch establishment - you will not regret it!

My wife and I went a couple weeks ago for our first time and I have to say they have some of the best food in CT. The burger was not only fresh but juicy. The mac and cheese bowl has amazing quality and the nachos to start you off is an amazing treat. Definitely will return and recommend to any one.

I didn’t even take a picture because I scarfed down my food so fast. I got the south of the border burger with a side of Mac and cheese and it was so good! The atmosphere was nice too and there was plenty of parking in the back. The server was very friendly and quick with our food and drinks. I would definitely come back here.

Food is great. Burgers never disappoint. Kind of pricy but always tastes great. If you don't mind paying a premium price for a premium burger. You get what you pay for. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good burger.

The staff was attentive in making sure our meal and experience was top-notch! The hungry bull burger was amazing, tastes fresh made and for a great price. The way the disco french fries were cut gave a whole new interesting experience that paired perfectly with the jus and mozzarella. This is a quaint and amazing burger joint. We rolled in 30 min before closing and they did not miss a beat. Ordered a couple of items off the specials and they were home runs. The next time we have to stay for a soccer match in this area we are going back again! Highly recommend!!

Hot chicken sandwich was top tier. Big piece of chicken, perfectly fried and juicy with all the necessities (Slaw, pickles and aioli) proportioned perfectly and a solid bun to hold it all together. Sweet potato fries were pretty dang good too. Gentleman behind the counter was friendly, and also waited on and cleaned up for me too. Price was not bad for what you get. Solid menu options. Definitely will be back to try their burgers

My bf and I took a nice evening drive to a friend's house about an hour from home.. after leaving, we decided to find a place to eat on the way home..I googled and this place popped out at me with great reviews and I can tell you, they definitely loved up to the reviews.. I had the special Teriyaki bbq burger, and oh boy, every bite was absolutely amazing and perfectly flavored.. my bf got the R10, and he loved it.. the fries, I can't even describe them... maybe a cross between a potato chip and potato skin.. hands down delicious, as we're the onion rings that he got.. Staff were exceptional even though they closed at 8 pm, they didn't rush anyone out the door... we will definitely take another ride.. FYI, they allow BYOB, and there's a spirit shop right next door

Went here for take out for the first time since I believe they opened which was sometime during covid I think. I ordered myself a burger topped with bacon avocado slices cheese and two patties and I was not disappointed. Burger was juicy and flavorful, bacon crispy and added a nice salty taste. Avocado was fresh as well. My side of fries I asked for them extra crispy so they would travel well. When I was given my order he said I hope they're crispy enough to your liking and let me tell you about these fries. Imagine potato chips puffed and filled with potato. That's what you get there's plenty in a bag too. You'll think it's not much but these are so tasty, crispy and surprisingly quite filling. I wlll definitely be going back sooner than later considering these fries and burger game out to around $20 and the only place I can think of burger and fry wise for that price is five guys and this place is about equally close to me. You will see me again Hungry Bull!

Fantastic! I had a seminar around the corner and had been running around all day. At 2pm, was finally able to stop to get something to eat. Very quiet. I opted to dine in. Self seating. I was greeted immediately and had a menu very quickly. Placed order which arrived in well enough time. Picture perfect meal, which I finished quickly. From the moment you walk in they make you feel welcome. It was my first time here and I was so undecided on what to get. I ended up getting the All American burger and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries are bomb!! They were perfect. They weren't soggy or salty at all and had the perfect amount of crisp to it. I went back a second time and they didn't disappoint that time either. It was worth every penny.

Visited Hungry Bull Burger last night to celebrate National Burger Month and National Burger Day! I’m not usually big into burgers, but The Hungry Bull burger was fantastic! I really think the blend of chuck, brisket, and short rib made a huge difference. They cooked the burger perfectly too - it had just the right amount of pink in the middle. The thin, crispy onion rings on top with the bbq brisket was just so yummy. Rosol’s hot dogs are great, so we were happy to see they served them on the menu. The hot chicken sandwich was pretty good! I really enjoyed the crispy chicken patty, but wish it had a little more of a spicy coating on it. The spicy Mayo was good though, and the pickles were super fresh! I was addicted to the French fries the whole time. They were perfectly salted, and I really liked the wedge-like shape. I also liked the choice of cavatappi pasta for the Mac and cheese. Overall, a great fast-casual spot that I will definitely visit again when I’m craving a good burger!

It's a fast casual burger joint. There was a large family and it was mostly full but still not too noisy. The music wasn't loo loud which I like. They know who they are competing with for wings. They were very good. We had burgers and onion rings too, all hot and fresh and very good.

I saw the incredible reviews for this restaurant and needed to give it a try. When we arrived, we walked up to the counter and soon learned that we could sit where we want and use the QR code on the table to order our food. I love restaurants that use this system as it is nice to be able to look at the menu on my phone, order it, and then the staff will bring over our food. I will mention that we did not get waters or anything upon sitting, so be sure to bring your own drink. (It is BYOB so you can bring your alcohol from the store next if you want.) Once the staff brought our food to our menu, we found out why we saw so many glowing reviews about the fries. They were the perfect combination of crisp and thick. Honestly, the best french fries I have had at a restaurant. The burgers were delicious as well. Overall, great place for a bite to eat.

This was a great experience. I ordered the Route 10 burger, disco fries, and chili. The fries were different in a good way. Thinly sliced potato skins, covered with gravy and small cubes of cheese. They were very good. The chili was excellent, great flavor with a little bite. The burger was beautifully cooked, juicy, tender, and complemented nicely by the toppings. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 9.4.

Great flavor and no gloppy mess to contend with. Mains consisted of two types of burgers and a chicken sandwich. Both varieties were well executed resulting in flavorful, juicy meat. Side fries? Dare I say perfect?!? Luscious, golden, perfectly fried & salted! Definitely a favorite! We also indulged in a thick, rich, creamy milkshake. Well worth it and a potential problem in summer months!! I recently went back for some side orders of chili and soups. All were delicious and well seasoned - I'll make those a habit for work lunches!! Wow. Fantastic find here in Connecticut. For the longest time we've been in search for "the" burger, and I think we may have found it. The restaurant has a selection of different dishes, not just burgers... and they deliver meals that are not only extremely tasty, but innovative as well. My wife had the burger of the week, a pineapple piña colada crating that was incredibly tasty. I opted for one of their menu burgers but was not disappointed. They were able to make to order, and we asked for ours to be cooked medium so they came back to us perfect-- not the usual dry overcooked patty you can get anywhere else. (Definitely try the burger-of-the-week!) But the fries-- I've never had fries like this. Large wedges that looked like a cross between a crescent moon and surfboards, they were perfectly balanced to be slightly crispy on the outside, but nevertheless retain the flavor of the potato underneath. Honestly-- if you come, get an order of fries and try a side of a burger. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the staff were so welcoming and amazing. The owner came by to see how we were doing and talk about their food and restaurant-- I really love supporting local eateries like this that acre for their food and customers so much. Stop by with friends and family for a great treat!

What a great little place in Plainville, CT!  You might miss it driving by but it is 100% worth the visit.  Clean inside with very friendly service.  All food items were fantastic.  Chocolate milkshake with whipped cream was super thick and tasted great.  Rt 10 Hamburger was by far the best tasting burger anywhere remotely close to here.  It was cooked perfectly and the tri-blend of meats totally makes a difference in taste.  French fries are in a class by itself with a unique shape and cut.  Fries have a great crunch with a soft inside and just the right amount of salt.  Maybe the fries alone are worth the visit??  Ranchero chicken sandwich was a good size with tender chicken and full of flavor.  Onion rings also cooked perfectly, super crunchy but not soggy inside.  You can tell all ingredients were freshly prepared.  Very impressed with the food and service at Hungry Bull... everything tasted so good!!!

My husband had been telling me about this place which is a true gem that you might pass by it without ever knowing. Make it a point to go here! Fries are like none I’ve ever had before and we each had the Route10 burger which was delightful with their “secret sauce.” The owner is attentive to you and runs around providing excellent service! The look and feel of the place was calming and we especially loved the partnership they have with the liquor store next door so you can BYOB. A must try place and tell all your friends about it!

Today was one of the days that Google Review’s 5 Star option wasn’t enough. Why do I say that? Because today’s combination of great food, reasonable pricing, and OUTSTANDING Customer Service merited ten stars. We had lunch at the Hungry Bull today, and shortly after we sat down, we had the pleasure of meeting Raj who brought out the menus along with his megawatt star power of a personality. He was plain old fantastic, and a real pleasure to interact with as we chatted throughout our meal on a variety of subjects. My wife and I both ordered a “Build Your Own’ version of their 6-ounce chuck, brisket and short rib burger. The burgers were $9 each and we customized them with some of Hungry Bull’s free toppings – Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce Tomato, Red Onion, Jalapenos and Bull Sauce, which is kind of like a Thousand Island Dressing. We told Raj we planned to split an order of Sweet Potato fries, and this is where his customer service went off the charts. He asked us if we had ever been here before, and when we said “no” he strongly suggested we try their regular fries because they were different and very popular. He was so persuasive (almost evangelical) about them that we accepted his recommendation and ordered the regular fries. He was 1,000% correct, those $4.50 fries were amazing. They looked like curved and very thick potato chips but weren’t exactly potato chips. Yes, they were crunchy on the outside like chips, but soft in the middle like steak fries. They were unlike any French Fry we have ever had. And the order was plenty for us to share. And then there were the burgers. Big and juicy and flavorful on super fresh rolls with fresh toppings, well they were magnificent. We enjoyed the entire experience at the Hungry Bull, and I assure you that we did not leave hungry at all.

Service was fast and friendly. I mean within 10 minutes of ordering food was done. I love a good burger and have had burgers from all over. This was absolutely delicious. We were just driving through and came across this restaurant. SOOO happy we stopped! The food and service were phenomenal!! We started off with chili cheese fries and both the chili and the beer cheese were homemade and you could tell. The fries were cut into a bowl like shape with the perfect ratio of crispy outside to tender center. We got a hotdog, which to our surprise was foot long. We got a brisket burger and added bullsauce and my husband said it was the best burger he ever had! I made my own burger and it was delicious. We also got the barbecue brisket mac and cheese and oh my goodness it was the perfect combination of soft, crispy, and flavorful. We ended the meal with an oreo milkshake. We wouldn't have changed a thing about this meal. Everything came out so fast, the waitress couldn't have been nicer, and we hope to make it back...sooner than later! You could tell everything was made with love! 10/10

I live in Plainville and I don't know why I never tried this spot before. Definitely a great little gem. Very friendly service. We loved our meals and the prices were great for the freshness and quality of the food. We had made that day in house calm chowder, burgers, the spicy chicken sandwich and onion rings and fries. The burger joint was clean and friendly. The staff greeted us and brought us to a table with menus when we explained it was our first time there. The food service was quick and the quality and taste of the food is amazing. I couldn't stop eating the pickles. They were crunchy and fresh, nothing like you get from a jar. Lives up to the reviews! Food was delicious, we had a hamburger, hotdog and salad. The all American hamburger was good, but the french fries a surprise hit. They are odd shapes but it works giving you crisp edges with a soft center. The pull pork hotdog with coleslaw was excellent. The Greek salad with grilled chicken was better than most salad places, I sub out lettuce for mixed greens. Over all more than burgers and everything was good!

Coming here was a happy accident since we were supposed to go to another restaurant but didn’t want to wait. The food here was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Truly amazing meal! We enjoyed the bullseye burger and the bull burger with a side of sweet potato fries and Mac & cheese. Fantastic! We will make this our go to whenever we’re in the area.

A friend visiting Hartford offered to meet for lunch somewhere in the area. He loves traditional burgers, so I searched for the best place. Hungry Bull Burger popped up with the highest rating... Guess what, it fully deserves the amazing 4.8 rating! My friend went for the American classic, I chose the Bull's Eye. Both were excellent, four inches tall and filled with deliciously fresh ingredients, accompsnied by a generous side of addictive fried sweet potatoes (I never had them before). Easily the best burger I ever had, at a fraction of the price at established chains. The restaurant is cozy, family-friendly and the best part is the friendliness of the service, particularly the owner, Joey, whom we shook hands with twice... Where else does this happen anymore? Do you like authentic, juicy and perfectly cooked burgers? This is the place for you.

We've been dinning here ever since they opened! My favorite dishes are: The All American Burger, The Turkey burger and the "Build your Crispy Chicken" sandwich ... I have the onion straws on mine! - so YUMMY!! Da'wife likes the sweet potato fries with maple drizzle! Their restaurant is conveniently located on rt. 10 near the Plainville / Farmington border.

My burger was good. My wife got a Mac and cheese dish which was good, but not very cheesy. The loaded buffalo chicken tots were really good, but a little pricey, but not outrageous for the quality and taste. Overall good quality food for a decent price, but not the best deal in town. It's the type of place I'd go with friends to enjoy a great evening with a nice atmosphere and good food.

Hungry Bull Burgers are a great addition to the Plainville food scene. Their unique patty formulation sets them apart from the competition, along with their varied menu items - each of which is sure to satiate. Unfortunately, when I went, they were a bit short staffed resulting in a tomato core in our chicken sandwich. The staff was friendly enough to provide an additional sandwich at no charge.

Food was very good, especially fries, both, regular (very nice looking like a chips) and sweet potato fries. This burger was good aswell, but kinda 'boring' for me. You could just feel that meat and onion. Maybe another time I give a try to another. To sum up, very good burgers and fries to check. Update. Year 2025, propably one of best burger spots in area. Really crafted meat, fresh and tasty. Specials are awesome. Lady behind the counter-super amazing. 5/5

All the food was delicious. There are still a few growing pains but the staff was very friendly and everything we ordered was great. I'll definitely go back!

The burgers are good meat but thin. Giving some options on how thick might be a good choice for people like me expecting a highly rated burger joint to have something like a pub burger. Sweet potato fries excellent and crispy.

We were in Plainville. I was in the mood for a burger. This spot had a good menu. It is a small little restaurant in a small plaza. We tried the clam chowder, it was ok, not bad, and not great. The wings were huge..lol..nice flavor. The burgers were good. It's also BYOB, which we didn't know, so we didn't get to take advantage. The atmosphere was nice quiet. The service was superb. I would go back and try something else.

Food had some fresh ingredients but the down fall was there’s no flavor in anything loaded fries no flavor and saggy burger was presented beautifully but no flavor very disappointing

disappointing. burgers were definitely frozen patties, nothing special. had high hopes because the menu looked good. came here once a few years ago and was a lot better.
