Global Cafe Bogota Reviews
A great patio if you want to enjoy nice Colombian coffee or if you want to have a nice demonstration on how the coffee is made and why coffee in Colombia is so popular, having offered many choices of coffee Wifi is strong and there is also a nice spot where you can put your laptop and work (unfortunately that time was occupied by someone else but it was very clever idea)
We stopped by for a quick coffee after a walk through the Candelaria. The space is huge and diversified, the atmosphere is laid back and the staff is super friendly. They showcase a lot about Colombian coffee, you can learn something too as well as taste different combinations with different preparation methods. A bit more expensive than the average coffee place in the city but worth it.
We did not order any food, but the coffee was really great and the process to make it was like an art.
This was our go-to coffee joint. Really good flat white, great space - so many rooms and cosy seating areas and also a backyard. There was a cat that sat on our lap 🥰 one morning, and the staff were really kind. It is a bit more expensive than other places but we thought it was worth it.
Incredible coffees and really knowledgeable baristas. A must for lovers of fine, interesting coffees. They have many varieties of coffees processed in different ways and roasted to different extents, so it's easy to get the perfect thing for your palate. They also have a wide variety of brewing methods to complement the coffee. They also have quality loose-leaf teas and small plates. Wish I could order the coffee beans online.
Had a great experience coming into Jaguar! Our waiter, Luciani, was very accommodating, knowledgeable, and gave us some excellent suggestions on food and drinks. When we got our beautiful cocktails, Joseph came to make sure everything was to our standard, and they most definitely were! They were unique, and perfectly mixed. We will definitely be coming back again for the coffee tasting in the morning.
Great specialty coffee place! Every cup is prepared marvelously and it's full of flavor. It's a great place to talk or pass the time. The Baristas know how to guide the experience and the process from the roasted bean to the final product.
The atmosphere is great! Plenty of seating options, indoor & courtyard. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t busy at all. I got an iced latte and it tasted just right!
If you love coffee, this is the place to go! They offer a selection of coffee flavours and brewing styles. The staff are very friendly and attentive and tell you where the beans are from and explain the best way to drink particular coffees. My food rating is based on one empanada (only). There are a selection of pasties etc but I’m in it for the coffee. It’s a very relaxed seating area. We found it ideal to sit there for extended periods to drink various coffees and plan the remainder of our journey. Great experience. We’ll done Jaguar!!
Filtered coffee tasting was awesome. They took us through 12 different beans and roasting styles. We selected the Tabi and Mocha. They then moved us to the bar where we selected the brew style - we both chose a filtered pour over but with different filters. This changed the acidity and sweetness of each bean. The coffee shop has a standard offering if you’d rather grab a drink and chill in one of their several rooms. In the back is a great courtyard patio. Would highly recommend. Beans to purchase were around $16USD for 250g.
I got a chocolate croissant and a cup of coffee. It was soooo flavorful and delicious. I don’t know a ton about coffee, but I do know when I have a cup that lets me taste all the hints. They have a small breakfast menu and a pastry menu. There’s also a connected business with cakes. The baristas were knowledgeable and kind. I think coffee snobs would love it here, too. My tour guide told me that it’s owned by a local Colombian guy who is a very hard worker, so go support this local coffee shop!
Jaguar Exotic Café I’ve traveled to over 20 countries and make a point to visit at least four cafés per city—this one lands firmly in my top three worldwide. Each room has its own distinct vibe, offering plenty of space to relax or gather with friends. The coffee is excellent, and the gin and tonic is bold and unapologetic—not for the timid. A truly memorable café experience.
Very fine cafe and coffee experience. They take coffee very seriously here. Source local from Bania 2 hours away and offer many coffee learnings, a space for hanging out/working, and even live music at nights.
This was an awesome spot. A very cool cafe, great staff, lots of different spots to chill inside, great coffee. Had read a quick blurb about this place but as soon as your walk in you see feel the cool vibe it creates. Glad we were able to find this place.
Just stumbled upon this café while waiting for laundry to be done. So happy we found it because we were looking for a place to buy good coffee. Wonderful atmosphere with a lab and sample area where they not only explain their different types of coffee but also allow you to smell/taste them as well. Very helpful staff.
This is a pleasant, well-decorated place to have coffee with a good vibe. While I was enjoying my coffee, they began toasting coffee beans, and the pleasant smell really added to the experience. The staff are friendly and efficient.
I only leave reviews for coffee if I would recommend coming here. Jaguar Coffee Bogota Cafe has selected some one of a kind beans. I had a cappuccino coffee and it was super smooth, flavourful and tasted very unique compared to several other coffee I've tasted in Bogota, Colombia 🇨🇴 Apparently they do tours that stop here so what does that tell you. The inside if this place feels like you're inside a cafe and someone's house. There are tons of different seating, room options and a large outdoor patio at the back. Very interesting cafe here. One of the more costly coffee's I've had but well worth the price. Although, there were some stains on some of the chairs that could easily be improved. Excellent experience learning about the different coffees of Colombia! Highly recommend the coffee tour where the staff will allow you to smell beans of different regions/varieties before you choose which you prefer. They will then explain different brewing methods and allow you to choose which one you would like. Very informative in a relaxed, light filled atmosphere.
THE highlight of cafés in la Candelaria. Wow wow wow so they have a quality product, a quality offering and quality staff! They're coffee specialists with on site grinding options. You can explore a coffee flight, relax with a traditional campesino or go bold with their Jaguar drink ☕ 🍊 🌿 the café itself is large and even when busy the staff is always welcoming. Give a try to their arepa boyacense! Went for the first time in 2024 and made it a mission to go back twice in 2 days in 2025 😁 Thank you and hello from Canada.
They're slaying it here. Incredible options and service, in an adorable spot. This is among the best coffee experiences I've ever had, and probably the best shot I've ever had (honey process gesha). They were effusively kind when I accidently broke a cup. Absolutely worth a trip.
We did the 12 hour Finca Jaguar coffee tour and it was absolutely AMAZING! we started in the coffee shop and played a fun game of trying to guess the coffees with Damien and smelling and tasting/making some coffee. We then tried some different coffees from the barista machine (definitely buying a machine for my house). We then went for lunch which was delicious! Then we picked our own coffee beans on Diego/Freddy's farm. The family were very kind and the farm was great. They helped me out with some mosquito bites too. We picked our beans and Freddy showed up the whole process of how the beans are quality checked. Diego provided great translation for the whole day when needed. We also visited the roasting factory and tried MORE coffee. Diego, Freddy, and Damien were all great and I'd highly recommend this tour to anybody who likes coffee.
Cool staff and well versed in coffee and serve it well!! Great ambiance to sit and enjoy and catch up with friends. The retro decor is super cool with some interesting antiques. Prices are fair and I enjoyed a red velvet cake that wasn’t too sweet. Will definitely return here.
Great coffee (from a coffee snob!) and great place! It’s absolutely huge with amazing decor and vibe - just a shame it wasn’t particularly busy when we went. This place should be more popular! Staff very friendly and helpful.
I was particularly impressed not only by the wonderful taste, but also by the attention to detail that goes into the process of pouring the coffee into each cup.
Very hipster joint inside a classic Colonial home with many rooms to meet, work or flop in surrounded by contemporary art and cool designs: centerpieced with a glassed-in old school-style San Franciscan roaster. Janet drew me in as I was snapping pics outside for my Cool Cats of Candelaria collection. What a sweetheart! I also met Oscar and the were both as charming as can be. I had my favs cacao in hot water without sugar and a delish pineapple juice in the same fashion. Spending an hour was fun and I got a bar of 100% cocoa to go; including playing a lovely old upright piano with ivory keys. Vegan here, so not advocating for their return and crminal how many elephants were slaughtered wholesale for Victorian keyboards. Those days, thankfully, are long over, but the construction of the casing and sound quality of many of those old harps is unique and the sound quite beautiful, as is this one.
Divine coffee with your pick of brewing method, including french press, aeropress, and v60, among others.
Awesome cafe and coffee. They gave me a quick lesson on the variety of beans they use and the ways they can get your cup. They let me smell the beans before they started making the coffee. I usually do not drink coffee black, but when it's high quality beans, the taste is great. Friendly service. They speak good English too.
This coffee shop is exceptional! They do not just offer a variety of coffees from different varieties but also have a all equipped lab. They teach how to roast coffee with an expert, do cofdee tasting sessions. The manager and all the staff is very friendly. It is after all a place to gather and share with friend. If you want to impress yor new mates you should come to this place
Absolutely excellent coffee and cafe. Had both an espresso and cappuccino with a very interesting coffee variety (wush wush natural process). The baristas here are beyond knowledgable and do great work with creating a unique specialty coffee experience. They roast in house and have a coffee tasting/processing lab right next to the counter so you can watch and learn more about what they do. They were also kind enough to invite me for a cupping session where I got to see a bit more of the precision and expertise of the master roaster. Layout is also great for working or just enjoying a cup. I didn't have any of the food so I can't speak to the quality there. If you're looking for a high-quality cup of coffee in Bogota this is the place to go!

Amazing coffee experience at Jaguar Coffee! Locally sourced and roasted beans, with creative options like kombucha-fermented grains. I was invited to the coffee bar to taste some coffees, where the staff took time to explain the origin of their beans and answer all my questions. Passionate people — a great place for coffee lovers!
Good service by staff and baristas. A remodeled old casona full of ambiance and coffee culture. A must if you are looking for good coffee downtown.

Seems like a really cool place with a lot going on. Need to go back to experience live music/vibes some time.
A really nice find in Bogota with some creative coffee concepts. My friend and I are both coffee snobs and try different cafes wherever we go. I appreciate the variety of methods they offer, and how interesting some of the coffee processes are (ask about the espresso exótico). The craft Jaguar Drink was also nice! The wifi here is reliable and there is plenty of seating. So if you need to take a meeting this is definitely a good place.
Great coffee spot! I came across it while walking around Bogotá. They serve specialty coffee and have a lovely seating area.
Nice atmosphere, but the coffee we tried wasn’t good. We love experiencing various specialty coffees around the world (and have experienced many great specialty shops here in Colombia), but we sampled a few of their house beans here and they were all really….. bad. Perhaps this barista didn’t know how to pour a correct V60…. But I can’t imagine it was solely the human hand that caused it to taste that bad. Maybe the beans were also very old. It was just.. wow
Very disappointing experience. The coffee is decent (not amazing), but the service is absolutely terrible. We were ignored at the front, then made to wait nearly 20 minutes in the back. The staff member who finally helped us was rude, unprofessional, and clearly didn’t want to be there. During the cupping, he made us extremely uncomfortable by joining us uninvited and behaving aggressively. The whole experience felt like we were bothering them by wanting to buy coffee. Overpriced, overrated, and not worth it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.
The coffee and pastries were actually quite good, but unfortunately, my wife accidentally knocked over a coffee carafe, which broke. When we went to pay the bill, the cashier was extremely rude. While the drinks and pastries could be paid by card, the broken carafe was charged separately at 35,000 COP — and strangely, he insisted that this amount could only be paid in cash. I found this policy very odd and unclear. Why only cash? Since I only had 30,000 COP with me, he reluctantly accepted it, but not without giving us a dirty look. Honestly, this ruined what could have been a pleasant experience.
Scam alert. Went to buy some coffee. Told him it's a gift so I wouldn't need to try it. He insisted I should try the one I selected... It felt like he just wanted to show it and was interesting as he explained a lot about the process. I drank about a shot glass of the coffee which I never ordered and was asked to pay 20.000 pesos for the taster. Absolutely ridiculous. Coffee itself is good but absolutely overpriced. Way better options nearby! I think the reply of the owner says it all. Just to clarify. I told the clerk that I find 4€ for a taster quite expensive. To which he replied I could have drank more and insinuated that we foreigners have too much money anyway. I paid because in the end it is not worth arguing over 4€ but we definitely didn't left happy. As the owner just admitted the events happened as described so the threat of suing is ridiculous.
