We visited this restaurant in Borredà for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised by the food, service, and ambiance. The food was all very good, with generous and satisfying portions. The service was incredibly fast and friendly, and the space was very comfortable with a fantastic terrace overlooking the mountains. It was a great choice, and we will definitely return. Highly recommended if you're traveling with children, as they provide high chairs for them.
We've eaten here two days in a row and everything was spectacular (food, service, and atmosphere). The house wine is the best I've ever tasted. Fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes. Come without hesitation!
The restaurant has an outdoor terrace and a large indoor dining room, with plenty of space between tables, the decoration is modern and tastefully done, and everything is very clean. The well-cooked dishes are made with good local products, well-presented Catalan cuisine, with good portions. The service was fast and attentive, the waitress is very professional and friendly.
Excellent! A great find! Looking for a place to eat in the area, we stumbled upon this spot and what a great find it was—everything was delicious. The "masked potatoes," a very typical dish of the region, were amazing. We ordered them in a variation listed on the menu as "masked bomb," which is like the original recipe but with an egg inside, enhancing the already excellent dish, as the yolk oozes out when you pierce it with your fork. The esqueixada de bacallà (salt cod salad) is also fantastic. I don't know how they prepare it, but it changes the color of the cod, making it more reddish, like tomato. I don't know, though. The cod itself was very juicy. The ternasco (roast lamb) is a very good product, very well prepared, incredibly tender, it practically melts in your mouth. Another dish we loved was the meatballs with squid. They use really good quality meat for the meatballs—minced meat, but top quality, none of that gristle or weird bits you usually find in minced meat. The sauce was amazing; you'll want more bread to keep dipping. Perhaps they should improve the desserts a bit; they were our least favorite, and you usually want to leave with a good dessert, but it's not a big deal, it's easily achievable. The atmosphere is quiet and pleasant, something that's hard to find these days, as large dining rooms tend to be noisy. The mountain setting offers great views. Obviously, parking isn't a problem at a mountain restaurant; it's easy to find a spot. It's truly excellent, and I would recommend it without hesitation. They know what they're doing, they put care into their preparations, and with such good ingredients... the result is superb.
We've been a few times, but just for coffee or beer. This time we had a meal, and honestly, the food was excellent, and the staff were very attentive and quick. One thing worth mentioning is that the restaurant won the card game show "Joc de Cartas," which isn't surprising because everything is so good and high quality. Set menu €25 on weekends
It's the first time I've been there, at the entrance there is just the typical village bar-dining room where everyone who is eating knows each other, there is a relaxed atmosphere, a large fireplace in one corner of the bar, the back at the back is the kitchen, to the left after the bar and there is a large dining room, they have served us very well at all times, they asked us if we wanted to go to the large dining room or the bar which has about 8 tables more or less, they told me that we should stay at the bar since it is cozy. I ordered the menu both in quantity and price and above all the quality of all the dishes that I ordered has surprised us very pleasantly! GOOD! 😋🤩😋 It is a place that I will not hesitate to return to and talk about it well to my family and friends.
Very good! Get the trinxat and costellas. You won't be disappointed.
Always a friendly welcome
Having dinner here has been a delightful and rewarding experience. Attention to detail, excellent primary materials and engagingly friendly service help to accentuate a respectful approach to ancestral Catalan cuisine. Thoroughly recommended.
Restaurant located in the municipality of Borredà. With an outdoor terrace, bar, and dining room for lunch. Reservations are not required for breakfast, except during mushroom season. Reservations are recommended for lunch. Very attentive and friendly service. Delicious dishes and sandwiches, offering unbeatable value. Ideal for motorcycle outings, with a small parking area at the entrance next to the terrace. Clean facilities.
I can say that the place surprised me. We ate on the terrace and the views were beautiful. The only downside was that the kitchen extractor fan was very noisy. We went with our two dogs and they were more than welcome. The food was very good and homemade. The trinxat was especially noteworthy. Overall, we liked everything and it was very reasonably priced. Until next time!
We booked in advance to try the weekend menu. The €25 menu included water, wine, bread, a starter, a first course, a second course, dessert, and coffee. I didn't think the price was expensive for the amount of food. For starters, I recommend the esqueixada de bacallà (salt cod salad) and the patatas enmascarades (potatoes in disguise), but the hors d'oeuvres weren't really worth it. Overall, all the main courses were excellent, especially the beef. The desserts were very good, although the coffee wasn't as impressive. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We'll be back!
It's truly quite sad that a place with relatively good food is marred by the service received by the person who served us in the dining room. She lacked empathy and friendliness, gave very sharp and ill-timed answers, and almost threw our dishes on the table when she served them. She constantly commented on how overwhelmed and tired she was from work and how she needed a vacation right away.
Two stars for potato with pork and crema catalana, which were delicious, the rest of the food was barely eatable (calamarcets - too fetty and plain, russian Salad - couldnt eat, mozzarella tomato Salad - couldn't eat, chicken - first came too raw after that burnt), we came here twice for the lack of anything better in the area. On a week day menu was 14.5 per person with drinks. We were surprise to pay 23 on Sunday for the same menu, half of which we couldn't eat cause of the poor taste. Disappointed
