Flagstaff House made our anniversary and my wife’s birthday unforgettable. They personalized our menu with congratulations, which immediately made the night feel special. The food was delicious, the wine pairing was perfect, and the views from sunset into the evening were breathtaking. It felt romantic, intimate, and truly elevated. We’ll definitely be back.

An absolutely flawless dining experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between elegance and warmth—refined without ever feeling stiff. The service was impeccable: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, with every detail handled effortlessly. The food was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was beautifully presented and thoughtfully composed, with flavors that were bold, balanced, and memorable. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the creativity behind every course. Highlights included perfectly cooked mains, exquisite sauces, and desserts that were both indulgent and artful. This is the kind of restaurant where time slows down and every bite feels special. Ideal for celebrations, date nights, or anyone who truly appreciates exceptional cuisine. Worth every moment and every penny—we’ll absolutely be back.

I was lucky enough to come here for my birthday weekend and had such an excellent time. Starting off with free valet parking, I felt like we were treated like royalty the entire evening. There were several courses that are on the menu but we were also treated so several in between courses that were really delicious and ensured them at the entire group was full by the end of the night. I'm not sure that any of the food was something that took my breath away but it was all really good and the service and beautiful views made up for anything that I thought the food lacked. It's quite a pricy meal but for ethe experience and quality, I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a special occasion meal.

This place is a treat. Not your normal fine done experience. The view and location are special. The staff is second to none when it comes to giving you an experience and their knowledge and engagement with the customers is 5-star. It’s a phenomenal choice for a special occasion or just for a special night out. I recommend adding the wine pairing to the set menu. Thank you Flagstaff house for a truly enjoyable night.

We decided to have a destination wedding in Boulder, CO and spent a while looking into different restaurants in the area to host a wedding reception dinner. We wanted a private room for 10 people and amazing food. Annie, the event coordinator, answered all of my questions before we signed the contract to hold the event there. And we are soooo happy with our decision to go to Flagstaff House. Everyone from Annie to the staff and waiters were amazing and made the entire experience easy and unforgettable. They were very knowledgeable about the menu and even gave us a little history about the restaurant when we asked about it. The food, views, staff, and atmosphere were all amazing! I took pictures of our first course, but forgot to take pictures of the rest of our meal and drinks because everything was so good I just started eating immediately after they brought it out! lol All of our guests absolutely loved the food, drinks, and spectacular views! I was originally a little worried because some reviews said the portions were very small. But I disagree. Between the size of the portions, the amount of courses, and all the little appetizers between courses, we were all beyond full by the end of dinner. It is expensive, but it’s a great place for a special occasion. Can’t say enough good things about this place. We plan on returning for our one year anniversary. Highly recommend!

The staff are truly top notch, friendly, extremely attentive and took the dining experience to the next level. The food was a bit too gourmet for me, but the view, the atmosphere and the overall experience made up for it. I would highly recommend Flagstaff House. It was a 5 star evening that we will always remember.

Uniquely World Class Gourmet, the tasting menu allowed us to try many items. Extremely romantic views, truly memorable especially for special celebrations. 🍾

My birthday celebration here was truly unforgettable, marked by exceptional service from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the valet greeted us with warmth and even noted it was my birthday, setting the tone for a royal experience. This personalized attention continued with the hostess, who thoughtfully prepared our table in a prime corner spot by the window, offering a breathtaking view of the city lights. Adam, our server, provided truly top-notch service, his attentiveness was so remarkable that my boyfriend made a note of his name and our table number for future visits. The culinary experience was equally impressive, with every dish exceeding expectations. The entire evening, from our arrival to our departure, was elevated to another level, even including specially printed menus says Happy Birthday with my name on it.

We came to celebrate 1 year since we got engaged. It was a spectacular dining experience. The food and service was incredible. We just got back from Dubai and I thought this was better than the service we received there which is considered the best of dining experiences.

We decided to stop in for a few cocktails and dinner before our concert, not realizing it was a full-course restaurant. I was mainly looking for amazing mountain views, but this place had it all—the scenery, delicious food, and staff who were incredibly nice and accommodating

From the moment we were greeted by the valet, we were given royal treatment. Truly, everyone who works here appears to love their job and making your night special. We ordered the caviar, but they were out, unfortunately. The beef tartare was our canapé instead, and it was delicious and a true homage to a Reuben. My wife and I enjoyed our cocktails, and then I did the wine pairing with my meal. The sommelier came over and explained the unique history of one of the wines. Our server, Teraab (Ibelieve this was the spelling), was so fantastic. He was so kind, well-informed, and knew how to anticipate our needs but still let us enjoy our date. The hostess, at the end, had my wife's coat warmed up and was also such a friendly employee. The standout foods of the night were the Miyazaki A5 Wagyu, the Hudson Valley duck, and the over-wintered spinach raviolo. We will certainly be back here for our next celebration. The view, service, and food are all top-notch.

It is a delightful experience to spend out last night in Boulder. The food is excellent. Our gluten allergy is well accommodated. They printed the menu tailor made for us. The host is very sweet to describe each dish and make sure that we have a nice time

This was my second time at the Flagstaff House and it was, again, a wonderful culinary and family experience. If you are in a rush, go elsewhere. For me, it was best to remember that I am there to enjoy, relax, and participate. The waitstaff is intuitive, accommodating, friendly, and attentive. Our waitress was very polite, helpful, and soft-spoken. The valet was super friendly and accommodating as well, as I had my dog with me, and they found a comfortable shaded area for him - don’t worry, it was not a warm day, the windows were left down, and he came out with Wagyu! We also jumped across the street to the lookout for some “relieving.” It was clear that the two guys had checked on him a few times during the dinner encounter. Plain and simple - it would be hard for you to not enjoy yourself. A plus is seeing what designer, purse, and shoe the ladies are wearing!

Do not miss this restaurant while in Boulder. This visit exceeded all expectations! Service, atmosphere and the dishes served were steller!! The experience created a memory we will not forget. We will not hesitate to return!

My wife and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at the Flagstaff House. The entire experience from the time you arrive is on another level. This even included specially printed menus congratulating us on our anniversary. We chose the signature 4 course experience and were blown away by each dish. We were even sent home with little cranberry bread for breakfast the next morning. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Everyone was knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks. If you're considering visiting for the first time like we were, It is well worth it! You won't have this experience anywhere else!

HOW does this place not have a Michelin Star? I am seriously in awe. My husband and I have been to 10+ Michelin star restaurants and this place is absolutely amazing in comparison. The artistry and pallet pleasing courses are 5 star I my opinion! From being welcomed with the complimentary valet, to the "be a Sommelier" wine course, pallet cleansers and "morning after gifts" Flagstaff House stands heads and tails above many chefs tasting restaurants not only in Denver but nationwide! The view is priceless and the ambiance is like no other. Visit this restaurant and you will NOT be disappointed!

A wonderful place to celebrate an anniversary or any special occasion. So happy to have chosen this spot. From the moment we arrived, every aspect felt curated just for us. The food was incredible as was the service. Looking forward to our next visit.

Our family just recently celebrated after our Son’s wedding at this marvelous restaurant. The food was AMAZING, as was the service and the gorgeous atmosphere. There were 14 in our party and we were all treated like royalty! From drinks and small bites on the patio to champagne toasts and desserts, the experience was exceptional. DK our head server made sure everything was exceptional! Even helping us carry out our decor. DK, Chef Chris and the entire staff made sure that the night was a lovely ending to a perfect day!

My husband and I went to the Flagstaff House for my birthday dinner last night and we can’t stop talking about how wonderful it was! I could not recommend this place more. Not only did we have gorgeous views of Boulder, but the food was incredible. We got to try the Maine Uni tagliatelle in addition to the four course menu and it was probably my favorite dish I’ve ever had. Flagstaff is an unbeatable experience with the best service possible. I was shocked to hear that they don’t have a Michelin star. This restaurant is top of my list!!! Thanks so much for making my birthday the best yet!

Wow wow wow! Went here to celebrate a late birthday dinner and our 3 year anniversary, and we were both blown away! Everything from the decor to the food was just amazing and lived up to our expectations. We always try different Chef's tasting menus anywhere it's available and were stunned at how much care went into the dishes, not to mention STUFFED halfway through. Our waitress Hannah was just the sweetest and had perfect timing and was fun too! She made us feel very comfortable, and the whole staff made us feel like they were celebrating with us too! 10/10 drinks, and the bartender is a magician Thank you for making such a memorable night for us :)

Unforgettable night! We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary and it was a night to remember. We loved the special touch of adding our names and wedding anniversary date to our own special menu as a keepsake. The views are outstanding, the service and the food, were impressive and impeccable. Thanks for making our evening so special!

Absolutely lovely experience! My boyfriend and I are from out of state and we wanted a luxurious, gourmet experience. They accommodated our diet restrictions and our waitress was very detailed in explaining each course. Everything was a treat to experience and they have the best bread we have ever tasted. Not an exaggeration! After the meal, our waitress was kind enough to snap a few pics of us on the outside patio with the incredible city lights. It was so beautiful and romantic. We will definitely be back again. We recommend it very highly!

Again, this restaurant is the epitome of fine dining! Every morsel had its own unique flavor and texture combination. From flawless service to eye candy to memorable taste sensations! Loved every moment here! This has to be one of my most favorite places to dine! The food not only exceeds my expectations in taste, but in presentation as well. The service is perfect and the view of Boulder breathtaking. If you haven't been here, it is a must! Sit by the window and arrive before sunset.

The service is truly outstanding, they even place your jacket in a heat room so it’s cozy when you leave. The food is great, in between each course they offer you small bites and even give you pumpkin bread to take home. The steak with twice baked potatoes and the king crab soup were the two standout dishes I had, both were exceptional. If you are celebrating something they go above and beyond to make you feel special, I had a personalized menu. Would love to come back again next time I want a treat.

Stunning views and Michelin level fine dining. I highly recommend this for any type of fancy date or celebration. Definitely higher prices, but rightfully so. Expect to easily spend over $300 for 2 people. They have complimentary valet parking. They will take your coat at the door if you like. Absolutely make (I think it's required?) A reservation. I believe they have the largest wine cellar in Colorado, and, if you like ice wine like I do- they have a tasting of ice wines that is to die for. Food wise the 4 course meal is where it's at, and I recommend the soft shell crab for sure. We enjoyed our anniversary here and we will definitely be back.

TL:DR : EAT HERE! It is costly but you need to do it at least once. This place is special. We can here with low expectations and we were totally blown away. The ride up is steep, so if the roads are icy take your time. The valet greeted us knowing that we had a reservation, and was extremely professional. We walked to the main desk and was greeted by a very polite and well put together young lady who showed us to our table. The view was amazing. The staff had our menus brought to the table (and when I say our menus, it has our names and the occasion on them.) The menu is a bit complex but all questions if you do not understand. The staff is extremely versed in the dishes and very helpful. The meal came out in several courses, and was extremely well timed. My wife and I had plenty of time to take everything in and didn't feel rushed. The food is AMAZING!!! Do not let the menu scare you. My wife and I do not eat fine dining, but it is so worth it. Take your time, enjoy the flavors, and the atmosphere. The chef did an outstanding job with every dish. I even gleamed a few ways I can up my game at home. The squash dish was the star of the night for my wife, while I loved the lamb. The tables are gently lit with soft light from above. The music is subtle but very appropriate for the environment. It felt as though we were the only couple there for the night with the service. We will be going back

Truly the most enjoyable dining experience. The service is extremely excellent throughout the entire meal and even before the meal. My partner and I have dined here for the last 2 years for our anniversary and each time they have called us prior to our reservation to ask for details about the occasion, and they made sure to celebrate our occasion all night. The service is not even the best part of the dining experience; the food is exquisite. The timing of each course is perfectly delivered, and the food itself was spectacular. We will be coming back every single year for our anniversary!

Went to Flagstaff House for a friend's 40th birthday...and to say we were impressed is an understatement. I had the four course menu, which included many options, but i chose the Main Lobster Soup, Mushroom and Gost Cheese Ravioli, Colorado Lamb Rack & Braised Shank, and Spiced Carrot Cake. (Photos include things other guests ordered as well). There were palate cleansers between each course which were actually very tasty! The customer service was impeccable. The food was ridiculously delicious, and I definitely recommend!

Worth every penny. The views are delightful. Top tier service. The chef curated meals are portioned perfectly and while the plates may seem small you will leave so STUFFED. Great ambiance. Highly recommend for any tourists or locals

Absolutely spectacular !!! I’d give 10 stars if I could! Every dish was perfectly balanced and perfectly flavored. It was a prix fix meal but you could also order a la cart. The view was world class, the bar, room and service were exceptional! But the food was soooooooo good! They also brought little palate cleansers in between our courses that were amazing! Worth the price 🎉🎉🎉 A highlight of our trip 💗wow!!!

The Flagstaff house has always been excellent, but I feel like they've upped their game even more since the last time I was there. The service was even better than before. They were more than attentive. Very knowledgeable and very honoring about my husband's and my anniversary. Even though it was a snowy night, the view was beautiful. The food was a 10 out of 10. My husband got the wagyu beef and it was truly memorable. Thank you, Flagstaff house, for adding beauty to our 28th anniversary!

This was the first ever prix fixe menu i'd had a few years ago so it was a delight to finally come back. The service is incredible, they truly go above and beyond which makes for a very special night along with the view. We added on the Scottish Smoked Salmon to start which was very good. The Alaskan Halibut was cooked perfectly, it was juicy and flaked apart nicely. The olives also added such a great flavor to it. My boyfriend's main course was the Texas Venison which he really loved. The dessert that I chose was the Mulberry pain perdu, i had never had mulberries before and they were delicious. The cocktails were also amazing, especially “la petite fleur”. This was such a memorable evening!

Last night, I took my wife to Flagstaff House to celebrate her birthday. As soon as we arrived, until we departed, we received over-the-top 5-star service. The staff was excellent, from the valets to the hostesses, the bartenders, and our waiter, Alex. We started with the cheese plate and bread, which were out of this world. Then we chose the 4-course option that got better and better with each course. We finished with dessert and coffee, accompanied by a special pastry plate compliments of the chef and a to-go bag containing cranberry bread for breakfast the following day. As we were leaving, the valet (whose name I, unfortunately, did not catch) noticed that the battery in the key to our vehicle had died. He ran into the restaurant and found us a replacement battery so we did not have to Uber home to get the spare key. Thank you, Flagstaff House, for going above and beyond and making last night an incredible experience for my wife's birthday! We will return to the Flagstaff House for future special events, as they made this one truly magical!

Boulder's one and only Flagstaff House restaurant. Unreal experience with pretty much it all for fine dining. Surprised by the ease of complimentary valet parking. Delighted by an incomparable view. Impressed at the highest level by an immaculate facility with gorgeous fit and finishes. 16,000 bottle wine room. Recommend dropping in for a beverage with no reservations.

We decided to treat ourselves for our adult Christmas dinner and I am so glad we did! From the moment we pulled up to the valet, until we walked out, we were treated like royalty. This establishment has the customer dining experience down to a science. They knew who we were when we arrived and seated us at a table with a stunning view of Boulder. The courses each came out in perfect timing and we were so full at the end. The complimentary breakfast bread was amazing! I cannot say enough about this dining experience.

Dining at Flagstaff House was a wonderful experience. We celebrated my partner's birthday last night and it was perfect. Each course was delicious and unique. We particularly appreciated the staff and their efforts to create such an inviting, elevated atmosphere. Kacey, Kit and Alex - thank you!! Hope to see you again soon.

My (now!) husband and I had our wedding here. Annie and the whole staff at Flagstaff House were amazing. Communication was professional and prompt. Annie is such a seasoned wedding coordinator. She was so thoughtful in all the details, reminding us of things we missed, and making sure everything was perfect. The venue was beautiful! The views are gorgeous and everything inside (table settings, windows, furniture) was great. The food was also delicious. We had so many guests come up to us afterwards telling us what an amazing meal they had. I've often associated big events with mediocre catered food, but this place was exceptional. Annie and everyone there did such a good job of making sure everything went smoothly. We highly recommend this venue for weddings. Even if you're not having a wedding, it's still worth having a meal here as the food and views are great too.

Flagstaff House is one of our favorite venues in all of Colorado! Here's a few reasons why we love weddings here (and why you'll love it, too): -The management & staff are welcoming and fun to work with, and they understand that we are all on the same team to produce the perfect day for wedding couples. -The idyllic outdoor ceremony site + charming multi-level indoor spaces provide the best of both worlds. -The food is phenomenal and provides an amazing option when you don't want to deal with more vendors than necessary. We're honored to be one of their preferred vendors, and if you're looking for a truly special space for your big day, look no further than Flagstaff House!

My husband and I dined at Flagstaff House for our wedding dinner, just the two of us, and it couldn’t have been more special. The view overlooking Boulder is absolutely stunning, the food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. They made us feel truly celebrated. They were also very accommodating of my vegetarian diet, which I deeply appreciated. We loved the experience so much that we returned on our next trip to Boulder, and it was just as exceptional. The ambience, the view, and the attention to detail make Flagstaff House an unforgettable dining experience.

My partner and I enjoyed a fabulous anniversary dinner here. The views are gorgeous and the service is superb. Simon was our waiter for the evening and he eloquently described dishes from the menu as well as local recommendations. Kudos to his excellent taste and service. The sommelier was very kind and helpful with our wine selections. It was not the best tasting meal I’ve ever had but it was still very good and the service + energy of the restaurant make up for it. The dessert was a fantastic finish as well! Overall I’d recommend one visit here for the experience although the cost is a bit steep for what you get food wise.

Absolutely amazing experience, stunning views, and unforgettable service. The meals were incredibly inventive and I ended up liking some stuff that I never would have thought in a thousand years I would have liked, based on the ingredients / appearance. In particular, I absolutely loved the ramen type dish they served. My venison was over-seasoned, but that is my only complaint to an absolutely otherwise flawless (above and beyond to the stars) dining experience.

I had a lot of thoughts about this place. Overall the food was very good. I enjoy fine dining however, I personally don’t prefer the tasting menu style of restaurant where you get 10 different bite sized dishes. The flavor was good in everything and each item was a work of art. The best thing I had on the menu though was the butter that came with the bread and the Orions Belt cocktail. The staff and restaurant put a lot of effort into everything from the service to the food which I appreciate but I wouldn’t have classified it as an “experience” which is what I expect from places like this. It was a really nice meal at a fancy restaurant. The cocktails were really good and the bottle of wine (No Name Barolo) we had was fabulous. The service felt a bit over the top at times. For instance when I got up to go the bathroom, staff members would say “pardon me” as I walked by when they weren’t in my way. It felt like they were told to say that in an attempt to make the restaurant more bougie. Whereas I felt that the service was quite slow at times. The atmosphere was great, the architecture of the building and the views are incredible. Overall I had a very nice time and would recommend it if you are looking for a high end dinner or drinks when in Boulder.

We recently visited Flagstaff House to celebrate a special birthday, and while most aspects of the experience were excellent, one key element fell short. The ambiance was stunning, the service attentive, and the majority of the dishes were prepared to perfection. However, the filet mignon we ordered was overcooked and disappointingly dry, which detracted from an otherwise memorable evening. Given the reputation and price point, we expected this dish to be a highlight, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. Still, the overall experience was enjoyable, and we hope for better consistency next time.

Celebrating our anniversary at Flagstaff House was an unforgettable experience. The staff's warm welcome set the tone, and the 5:15pm seating allowed for a missed but stunning sunset view. Winter visits should be slightly earlier for the breathtaking mountain scenery. The personalized menu with our names and anniversary message was a delightful touch. Opting for the tasting menu, each of the 12 uniquely crafted courses was a culinary masterpiece. While the frequent utensil and napkin changes seemed wasteful, the overall effort to make guests feel appreciated was evident. Flagstaff House goes above and beyond to create a joyful dining experience.

⭐ 3/5 – Upscale Dining, But Left Hungry and Frustrated Flagstaff House in Boulder offers a very upscale dining experience with stunning views and top-notch service, but the food itself doesn’t quite measure up to the hefty price tag. 🍽️ The Food: 3/5 The set menu offers multiple courses, but the portions were incredibly small, leaving me still hungry at the end of the meal. While the food was good, it wasn’t enough to justify the price. The focus seemed to be more on the presentation and technique than on filling the customer. For the price you pay, it was a bit frustrating to leave the restaurant feeling unsatisfied. 🛎️ The Service: 4.5/5 The service was excellent—attentive and professional. The staff made sure we had everything we needed, without being overbearing. The level of service truly matched the upscale atmosphere. 🏡 The Atmosphere: 5/5 The views are phenomenal and the restaurant has an elegant, upscale vibe that’s perfect for special occasions. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight of the experience, with the scenic views of Boulder adding a lot to the overall dining experience. 💰 The Verdict: Beautiful Setting, But Not Worth the Price ✅ Incredible views – one of the best in Boulder ✅ Impeccable service – attentive, professional staff ❌ Portions are too small – you’ll still be hungry ❌ Very expensive – doesn’t match the value for the food Would I come back? Maybe, but it’s hard to justify the cost when I was left hungry, even after a multi-course meal. If you’re looking for a place with a great view and fantastic service, it’s worth a visit, but just be prepared for small portions.

I read an article written by this restaurant about how they felt snubbed by not getting a Michelin Star while others in Boulder did. This is definitely not a Michelin Star restaurant. There were a lot of small details that would never happen in a Michelin Star restaurant. The wine list was an iPad, dishes came out while we had no silverware, and my 29 year old wife and I were referred to as “The Gentleman” and “The Lady” which felt incredibly forced and awkward. Most importantly, there were some dishes that just weren’t very good. Yes there is a good view, but for the price I would definitely go to Frasca on pearl street instead.

Been coming here for NYE three years in a row now. Gotta say, service has slipped a bit with the waitstaff this past year. Good was still great and we love the atmosphere. I’m not sure if it’s the new tip sharing policy or if they just aren’t vetting better servers but mgmt should probably start figuring it out.

I rarely ever leave reviews but after sitting on this all night I felt I needed to say something. I would only rate it one star if it wasn’t for our server, Adam, and his amazing service. But everything else was unfortunately disappointing. We had such high hopes for this place after hearing about how wonderful it is but we had a totally different experience. We came to celebrate our anniversary and were prepared to spend a pretty penny on an incredible experience that we thought we were going to be getting. But unfortunately the food was not worth half of what we paid for it and we felt more than a little ripped off. The portions were laughably tiny. Like really. It was like you were getting teased with 2 bites of food every 20-30 minutes (yes that’s how long it took each “course” to come out, expect to be here for at least 2 hours) but yet you never got to experience a real meal. My husband and I both left hungry and frustrated. The dishes were either overly salty or underwhelming in flavor. For example, I got the rack of lamb for one of the courses and the risotto it was on top of was terribly dry and undercooked. Another thing was there was so many servers and other workers standing/moving around that it was a little overwhelming. You would take one sip of water and someone would run up to refill your cup. I left the table for a moment and came back and my napkin was gone with a new one in it’s place. While I appreciate the gesture, it felt like we were being watched and had no privacy. My husband and I could not even hold a conversation because there would be a different person coming to our table for something every minute or so. It felt like the employees were bored and were desperate for something to do since there were so many of them. Overall I would not recommend this place and would encourage you to check out other restaurants in the area whose food is incredible and portioned correctly.

We came to Flagstaff House to celebrate our anniversary, having had an outstanding experience here previously with a larger group. Unfortunately, our dinner for two—over $775—fell far short of expectations. The evening started with promise: our menus had our anniversary printed on them, which felt special, but they were later taken away and never returned as a keepsake. From there, the attention to detail unraveled. After ordering sparkling water, we were later refilled with flat. One cocktail had so much ice it was distracting, while another, though tasty, was served in a large clunky glass that made it unpleasant to drink. Twice I had to ask for crumbs to be cleared, and the second time the waiter actually sprayed the table with a bottle while silverware was still set. Course after course was inconsistent. The canape tartare was overwhelmed by mustard, and the plating looked tired. The melon palate cleanser and roasted Palisade peaches were flavorless. The tuna crudo and squash blossom were decent, though again lacking in presentation. The salmon was overcooked, the soft shell crab both overcooked and poorly plated, though the Berkshire BLT was one of the highlights. Our wine pairings were hit or miss—the first good, the next two poor—and our server even misidentified one pairing, leaving us unsure if we were given the correct wine at all. For mains, the Wagyu was cooked well, but the sauce ruined it, and the lobster was forgettable. The lamb was good, but again plating felt uninspired. Desserts were equally disappointing: the lemon macarons and cheesecake cleanser lacked flavor, the gelato was inedible, and the cinnamon roll had little cinnamon. The chocolate pecan entremet was the standout, while the apple spice cake was just fine. Service did not help the experience. Our server seemed lackluster and unknowledgeable compared to others around us, and at no point did the manager stop by to check in. For a restaurant of this caliber, and at this price point, the lack of attention to detail, inconsistent food, poor plating, and uninspired service were extremely disappointing. What should have been a special celebration felt like a missed opportunity, and sadly, we left more frustrated than fulfilled.

By the far the most overrated and overpriced dining experience I've ever had. After the free, mandatory valet, and the nice touch of a free coat check, everything went downhill. It took almost 10 minutes for our server to greet us and roughly 30 minutes to simply sit down, order one drink, and get the drink. Then we were given menus but barely anything was explained to us about how it worked. Ignored is the most descriptive word that comes to mind. We had to ask questions and flag down our server or any help -- even though there was more than enough staff. In essence, the entire service was purely reactive, there was no proactive actions taken in terms of anticipating guests needs or considering what we might want at any given juncture of the meal, aside from the staff who filled our waters and cleared our plates (though at times they were a bit too eager on that front). Having many years of service experience myself, it was inexcusably bad — with plenty of staff on a relatively calm evening. The meal itself was paced OK, but we had another 20-30 minute wait for dessert and, again, at no time did our server or anyone on staff explain the wait or structure of the meal where guests routinely spend $200/person. Somehow it seemed the incredibly slow pace was a feature of the restaurant's service. Just ridiculous. The food was aggressively mediocre. The foie gras and filet and lamb were cooked pretty well, but the rest of the food had the veneer of being a fancy meal and yet tasted like it should've cost $40/person, not $200/person. A wildly disappointing evening and if we didn't have a gift card, we would have walked out because of the abhorrent service and low-quality food. A complete waste of money and, more importantly, time. I have no idea why this place has received such glowing reviews, but I imagine for most diners it could be the first meal they’ve had outside their own home? Hard to think of another reason.
