First time here and celebrated my cousins birthday. The food was amazing, the drinks were on point and the customer service was excellent!! I will be going back to try out their brunch.

i have visited this location many times always enjoyed myself. Celebrated my birthday had a wonderful time. It can get a bit tight in there, didn't care for that too many people. I will still give them a 10.

Yes the music was toooo loud as the reviews reported.. You really cannot have a convo..But the band was off the chains... the drinks were great and the atmosphere was so nice. The attire was casual on a Sat night.. some wore jeans. Also the hostess was not rude and the bartender at the bar was on point. I had such a good time dancing and the wings and spinach dip was delish.

I had a great experience at Half Note Lounge. It is a very mature atmosphere, the live jazz music was so soulful, The food is great, the crowd is mature mostly over 35. If you are planning an evening there on a Friday arriving before 7:30 would be preferable.

DJ Music is loud but so good that it deserves to be! My house salad was fresh, with green olives & cilantro , as a pleasant surprise. 1/2 rack of ribs, awesome creamy grits & sweet potato croquettes! I still had to try the bread pudding!

Great place for dinner and dancing all in one location. The dishes are excellent, the drinks are reasonable and to top things off you can get your party on... (special nights and weekends). I would recommend to family and friends to visit when you are in the area... Bowie, MD (able 20 minutes east of DC).

Went for a bday celebration. Food was decent. Mussels and chicken liver were flavorful. I wasn't in love with the wings because of the batter. But I liked the live band and DJ mostly. Great atmosphere!

This place is everything!!! Great food! great drinks! Great customer service! What more can you ask for? I absolutely love this place! Half note you are the bomb! I had the crab cake, macaroni and cheese and cornbread and it was amazing. I love how there food tastes like real home cooked meals from the south. Like they really make sure that there customers are happy and I love that so much! Love you Half Note😘

The atmosphere is live & I really like the showcase! The dining area is a bit overcrowded due to the layout of the tables. Food & drinks could use improvement.

The service, food and drinks were great! My only complaint is that the website didn't mention any relationship seminars happening last night...just their house band. We went prepared to dance, but left after they got off stage and the talking started.

Good place to visit for the thirty plus crowd. Karaoke Tuesday is nice. I think the food is pricey based on the amount of food for the price. According to the schedule, Sundays are for special events like mini concerts by some ol' time favorites.

Since Im a music lover, a friend of mine told me about this place. So one Friday night recently, a group of us met at Half Note kinda early to get a table & listen to an R&B band. Everyone else got there early too! This place was packed with friendly people over 40, dressed nicely & ready for fun. The bartenders are friendly here, the appetizers were good but this music was THE BOMB.

There was a great band playing Go-Go. The Jumbo chicken wings were huge, hot and juicy. The wait staff was friendly and my drink was not extremely iced doen. The overall dance floor is a little small. When the DJ was playing he stopped some songs too quick but he played a variety. My friends and I will go back.

Great space to relax after work or take friends that are not into clubs for drinks. I truly enjoyed the music and the atmosphere here. The drinks were on point the I don't remember the bartender's name but he made an amazing mai tai. The food was good a tad pricey, but hey it's a lounge. I would suggest either calling ahead for a table or getting there early because we were waiting for an hour. Luckily we got a seat at the row tables near the band and took or names off the list. My reason for not giving 5 stars was the hostess with the low cut hair she was very rude and terrible at being a hostess. Coming in and having to deal with her first kind of gave us a little scare that the place wasn't what others hyped it up to be, but we still gave it a chance and it turned out well.

I like Half Note because of the music and mature crowd. My beau cake LOVES this place because there is nothing like it in the Baltimore area. We LOVE Go-go. He is willing to take the drive to Bowie for an evening of great entertainment. The food is OK, drinks are normal priced for an upscale place. My co-workers like to have happy hour at Half-Note, as a matter of fact I am planning a get together now.

The atmosphere was great. The food was good. Our server must have been new. He brought me the wrong food and he was not always available. My husband had to go to bar himself at times to get his own drinks. The band was great. Overall every thing was good. I would definitely go back..

I have to say i was iffy about this place. The only reason i went here was because of a birthday party. The drinks are good prices about average but the food was nothing to mention. I was very disappointed. The food had no flavor and one of the items i received was burned. I have to give kudos to the DJ. He was really good and had people on the floor the whole time.

For an all you can eat restaurant, I was very disappointed. You have 2 servers behind the food serving you and it took a long time to get your food. The majority of my time there was spent in a long line. I can understand for the omelette station and the waffle station to have someone assisting you but the regular food? It did not make for a smooth eating experience for me. If, someone I know has another gathering here I'll come but to come on my own, I will not.

Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was my first time here. She ordered the fish bites and enjoyed it. The atmosphere was club casual. Not a bad experience.

I've enjoyed several nights here. The door person(s) are rude!! Customer Service training definitely needed.Its a chill place but the dress code changes in how the door (dude) feels that night. Its not a fancy place by far, but had a nice time. There's a band. The young lady that performs there be rocking!!!. Would DEFINITELY have given 5stars..but the door guy is very bully like

Love this place atmosphere. Great performances from local and national artists. Service was ok at best. Took my table a long time to get served and receive food, maybe because it was so packed with people in the establishment. Nonetheless everything was great.

Good place to go if you want to go dancing. Do the Happy Hour; drinks are high afterwards like everywhere else. I ordered catfish fingers and they're always good. I don't understand charging at the door especially on weeknights. The live music is worth going out for.

I ordered shrimp and grits which was very good! The cornbread was fantastic. However, there was a $10 cover, for the band which was boring! They played gogo for 3 sets straight, same beat different lyrics for 2 hours!!! I like gogo but come on. Then the drinks were overpriced and very weak. Due to the high drink prices and awful band, I wouldnt return. But food was great!

I love the live band ....the chicken wings and fries it over price l paid 17.00 for 6 small party wings and fries...the bartender needs to work on how to fix a better drink aleast the one l had on friday...also get there early if u don't want to 15.00 before 9 ...l'm not from Maryland l was there visiting. Other than small issues l had it's a nice place...

The entertainment is great....the crowd is good and age appropriate but still parties...the food SUCKS. Very disappointing because when I was there last the food was very good. Fresh and flavorful. I ordered the salmon with collard greens and mashed potatoes. The potatoes came out looking like grits. The salmon was cooked well but had no seasoning. The collards were tender and over seasoned.

I visited on a Saturday night and the environment was just okay. There was a live band and they were pretty good. From the menu, my girlfriend ordered catfish nuggets which she did not like. She then ordered the chicken livers; they were served with rice and gravy and were tasty. However, they were quite salty Overall our experience was just okay.

DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE! I visited for the first time for a Birthday Brunch on Sunday. The staff is EXCELLENT, very friendly and attentive, however the food was mediocre at best ( the 2 stars are for the staff). The food was lukewarm. Salty crab legs, the cheese was throw on top of the Mac, the fish was dried out. I’ll just stop there. My first and last time at this establishment.

The Sunday Brunch is horrible. We were greeted with a wrist band and told that there was a two hour seating limit. Everything was cold except for the made to order waffles and omelette. I asked to speak to the manager. MS. Cassandra "Casey" Kemp can't out and asked us of the issue. I told her that the food was cold and dry. She said let me go check it out. She then had the servers stir the items on the buffet line. I asked her to try something and she said no thank you. Then she returned to her office. A straight dismissal. Also there servers behind the buffet table don't speak English which makes the fact that you can't serve yourself more difficult. The other shocker was the 2 crab legs per customer sign. This equated to half a cluster broken in half. You have to stand in line for 20 minutes to get half a cluster of crab legs...Ridiculous. Our server was the best part of this experience. This was our 1st and LAST Half note Lounge Brunch Experience.

I went to the halfnote lounge for a birthday brunch to end my birthday week. They had 4 different parties going on with 3 waitress and they were doing everything from trying to sit people, serving and cleaning tablets. We sat for 15 minutes before our waitress even came to the table and once she did pretty much didn't tell us anything. And on top of that left my credit card on the table but they didn't find it. If I do go back it won't be for Saturday brunch because you don't get anything with it. Limited food selection and you had to order pancakes because they just have a few out for display. When you order them they come to the table cold.

I was extremely excited about eating at the Half Note Lounge on this past Saturday. Upon entering I told the hostess that we needed a table for 7. She was extremely rude and told me that all the big tables were taken and we couldn't pull tables together. She proceeded to tell us if we wanted to all eat together we could at the VIP. She went back to ask the manager the cost and said $350. The hostess was rude, which confused us as we just wanted to sit and enjoy my birthday celebration. We decided to stay and eat, it took 20 minutes for the waitress to come to the table and greet us. Finally we order, my shrimp and grits came out cold and clumped together. I sent them back, they came back warm..without the bacon on top and with less grits them I sent back. It was horrible, I returned the food. Luckily the DJ was great, and we had an ok time. I would suggest a new cook and hostess staff.

My husband, daughter and her boyfriend arrived at Half Note for dinner to celebrate a birthday around 7:00 on a Saturday. As we were being seated, we realized that the boyfriend was not being allowed to be seated. We were told that he could not enter the dining area because he was wearing sneakers!! He was neatly dressed with very nice leather sneakers. Really!!?? We were having dinner!! We were not going to a club!! My husband and I are in our 60’s, and my daughter and her boyfriend are in their 30’s. He was also told that he could go to Target and buy a pair of shoes! We were going to have a birthday dinner in a restaurant that’s located in a half-vacant strip mall! There were also no signs stating “no sneakers “This was our first and last trip to this place. We enjoyed dinner elsewhere.

Went for Sunday Brunch however when I got there they told me they weren't accepting anymore walk ins. I asked how can I make reservations for three for later and the hostess stated that you can't make reservations for three people. How is this a place of business that opens from 10-4 but can't serve you when you come to eat? If it's for private parties only then that should be communicated online or posted as a sign. After a certain time no service. The hostess told me that in order for me to be service i would need to come in at 10am. She also had a nasty attitude that did not reflect good customer service to want to come back. I do not recommend this place to eat. Bad customer service, and picks and chooses who they would like to service, made up policies when they like, does not answer the phone.

This by far was the worse Sunday Brunch I've ever been to. Upon entering the establishment, we were informed that we would have a two hour time limit to eat. I decided to start with a waffle and noticed a sign at the waffle station stating, ONE PER CUSTOMER. I was under the impression that it was a buffet, I was correct, it was. I've never had my food doled out to me according to the portion they thought I should have. We were only allowed to get two crab leg clusters per trip and they broke the cluster in half and called it two. I'll never patronize this place again.

If I could give a negative star then I would. I went for brunch last week and let me say I was highly disappointed. It was 11:05 AM and the food was ICE COLD!!! Bacon was over cooked to the point it was damn near bacon balls instead. The crab legs were cold, had an off dark color and limited. There was one African American guy serving food that cared more about flirting with guest and stashing his own set of crab legs instead of serving the food. The only thing that was decent were the omelets. Unfortunately, there were only two people making eggs for the hole restaurant was crazy to me. There was a wait for eggs! if you're going to make eggs by order then get more people. I will never go back here for this low quality food and service.

I had the opportunity to reserve a room and do a brunch all you can eat buffet, the server Naz was a horrible hostess/server (bad attitude). You were served and children was given 1 crab leg. Who has ever been in an all you’ve can eat buffet and servers serve you? Also the food wasn’t seasoned and cold. Will definitely not recommend this time of day to visit, unless it changes.

I was very disappointed with the hostess' service & attitude, the food, & the fact that they closed 30 minutes early. I came on a Friday night after seeing that this establishment had over 4 stars & after my experience I'm not sure how it's possible. I stood at the door waiting to be seated and the hostess wasn't there. I asked the waiter to be seated and he said the hostess would be right back. When she came back she didnt acknowledge me at all then when I said "can I seat myself or what" she says "you not waiting for someone" I said "no I'm alone" with an attitude she then took me to a table. The food came out pretty fast but the crab cakes were undercooked and the corn and greens tasted as if they had been warmed up in the microwave. The website said that you all closed at 1am but they turned the music off and was kicking people out at 1230am. I don't know that I would ever visit this place again.

I NEED A ZERO STAR RATING.....Abort Mission!!!!! Manager has the worst customer service in life's history and pack on hidden fees without your consent. A flyer is on the website stating that EVERY SUNDAY BRUNCH $29.99. First and foremost we went to Sunday Brunch with happened to fall on Easter. I called to book reservation several days in advance and was still under the impression that we will pay $29.99. It opened at 11 and we arrive and enter. While seated, the manager prints a flyer and says, EASTER DINNER $44.95. She forced everyone to pay the price and called for law enforcement to help force every to pay the price or give up your ID for documentation. She never apologized and added gratuity for a table of 4!!!! Over $8 for gratuity and no remorse. I don't care if the food was okay. Bad service equal no service for me.

Too many tables takes away from the dance floor. There are plenty of empty seats in the back but they are only for people eating. Band was great but I have a bad back and couldn't seat down even when the back part had seats completely open. And I came after 11:30 pm not knowing the closed at 1am like a Virginia club and we were charged full price. Paid $15 to get in ordered two drinks and that total was $30. I will never attend there again.
