Whenever I go out for brunch, I always gravitate toward eggs Benedict. There’s something about the perfectly poached eggs and their creamy yolk that I find irresistible. In pursuit of that comforting flavor, I often explore different brunch spots. This year, with Christmas Eve party preparations leaving my wife exhausted, we decided to celebrate with a Christmas brunch out — and our destination was Popping Yolk Cafe. The Kimchi Butter Fried Chicken Benedict was a revelation. The tangy kick of kimchi cut through the richness of the fried chicken, delivering a fresh and uniquely balanced Benedict that stood out from the usual. The Popping Yolk Burger was equally satisfying, with the egg adding a creamy, savory layer that elevated the burger beautifully. For something sweet, the Blueberry Pancakes were light and tender, leaning slightly toward a Japanese-style fluffiness rather than the typical American pancake. The subtle aroma and sweetness of blueberries made each bite a gentle delight. For anyone who loves Benedicts, Popping Yolk Cafe is well worth a visit. Tip: Arrive before 9 a.m., and select drinks are just $1. I enjoyed coffee, iced coffee, and mango iced tea — all for only a dollar each, which made the brunch experience even sweeter.

The pleasant owners Thaneth & Linna we're welcoming & attentive but not chatty. I like that you order at the counter to order, then they bring out your food & serve you like a traditional restaurant. I think this makes the food come out more quickly. The menu had a nice variety & the prices were very fair. They brought out our yummy coffee & topped it off every few minutes & freshened our waters. We had eggs Benedict Florentine, with the most perfect poached eggs & just the right amount of spice on the cottage potatoes. We also had a deep fried French toast with cinnamon & apple topping, I can't wait to return in order both of these things again! The simple ambiance was cheerful & bright with all glass windows, so even inside, it felt like an outdoor cafe, with penty of seating inside & out, where there are shade awnings. I don't know why I waited so long to try this gem but I plan on being a regular!

Went here for brunch with my mom and we had a great first experience. The staff was really friendly and helped us pick what to order since it was our first time. The food came out fresh and flavorful, and the vibe inside was comfortable and welcoming. Another nice thing is there’s plenty of parking around and Brea Mall is super close by, so it’s an easy spot to get to. We’ll definitely be back.

Great brunch spot! The food was fresh and flavorful, and there were lots of good options to choose from. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed brunch. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to others.

Service was great and very welcoming. They handed us a menu while we were waiting in line to order. You order and pay at the front, then grab a table after and they’ll bring the food to your table. The inside decor and atmosphere are really nice. Their country fried potatoes are so good and super crunchy. Definitely will be back!

This is now my favorite brunch restaurant. We ordered the Norwegian Benedict and the Croissant Smoked Salmon Sandwich, and both were delicious!! The portions were huge, and I love that each dish came with a salad and potatoes, which were perfectly crispy and remained so throughout the meal. I also had an earl grey latte, and I enjoyed that as well; the earl grey flavor was strong, and it was sweet but not too sweet. The staff were very nice, checking on us regularly, filling up our waters, and even giving us complimentary drinks. I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant, and I'd recommend it to everyone.

I think this is my new favorite brekkie and brunch spot. I had the Spam & Kimchi omelette, and it blew my expectations out of the water. They offer a variety of delicious treats, from amazing French toast and waffles, to sandwiches and burgers. Don't miss out on this fantastic little spot!

Forget Sunday brunch, what about Friday brunch?! My schedule is all over the place, and I randomly had the day off. Mine as well make the most of it by starting off with a big meal! Parking: This spot is located in a busy plaza. Finding parking can be a bit difficult; especially on the weekends. Free parking lot. Ambiance/Environment: They have a medium sized space with indoor and outdoor seating. Great for groups of all sizes. Very clean and modern inside. Once you walk in, overlook the menu, order at the register, and seat yourself. The server will bring out your orders. Service: Shout out to May! The sweetest and most courteous worker! She was taking orders at the register, delivering orders to tables, and checking on each table afterwards. Food & drinks: 1) Avocado Benedict - poached egg, avocado, ham, English muffin, butter, & hollandaise sauce served with garden spring and country fried potatoes. The poached egg was satisfying to pop. The avocado and salad were fresh. There was also a generous amount of potatoes! Despite the ham being a bit greasy, I really enjoyed this dish! 2) Popping Yolk Burger - Angus beef, sunny side up egg, grilled mushroom, cheddar, honey mustard sauce, also served with garden spring and country fried potatoes. The salad was also fresh and generous amount of potatoes. The beef was cooked well, juicy, and lots of flavor! 3) Ube Pancakes - This is one of their new menu items! The Ube flavor came through! It was topped with coconut flakes and drizzled with Ube sauce. Sooo delicious! 4) Ube Coffee - I ordered this hot because I wanted a latte art hehe. The latte art was so cute. The Ube flavor was light while the coffee flavor was strong. 5) Egg Coffee - This comes iced only. The egg foam was thiccckkk. I personally thought it wasn’t overly sweet. Perfect amount of sweetness. Pricing: Yes, prices are high. But what brunch spot doesn’t have high prices nowadays? Portions were big enough to share or save for later. I’d say it’s worth it!

As a Ube Pancake & Egg lover, @poppingyolkcafe got all I need! The potatos on the side is crunchy and flavorful. Service is friendly and they refilled our water multiple times and check in with us. It’s a cute brunch spot that has outdoor and indoor sitting, the outdoor has shades which is nice. 👉🏼We ordered - Ube pancake ( recommend - little mochi texture) - Crab cake benedict - Nashville hot chicken benedict ( recommend! )

I tried the Popping Yolk Burger today and wow — it was delicious! Juicy patty, perfectly cooked egg on top, and such a huge portion that I could barely finish it. The place has a clean, chill vibe and the staff were super friendly and quick. Definitely a new favorite!

The pancakes are soft and fluffy, the Nutella gives a rich chocolate flavor, and the bananas add just the right amount of sweetness. The whipped cream makes it creamy and smooth, bringing all the flavors together perfectly. The service at Popping Yolk Coffee is also really nice. My wife and I thought we'd give Popping Yoke a try on Saturday morning. Got there around 9:30 and had no wait. The place looked emaculate and counter employee was courteous and helpful with our order. We really enjoyed our breakfast on the nicely covered patio. The food was very tasty and we would definitely recommend it to others. The only reason I couldn't give a 5 star review is because the potatoes were cold. We'll be back soon and when we get hot potatoes, I'll add the last star:-).

Delicious breakfast place. The Benedicts are really good. I didn’t think I would like the Nashville hot chicken Benedict, but I went for it anyway and was glad I did. So good. Somehow the coleslaw just works and makes this dish something special.

It was a nice day. In November I met with brother. I was with my son who experience was quite pleasant. Was about the only place that had breakfast at the Brea Mall and it's not actually in the Bram all it's outside. However, the food looks good. Pay allow us to stay 20 minutes after we ate and they kept feeling their glasses. It was a very nice place. I recommend it. food was good

Came here for breakfast today, the service was amazing only issue I have is with the quality of the omelette. The ham isn’t diced the cheese is barely melted. When it came out it was already cold, as well as the country potatoes. The coffee was delicious. I will come back and try something else on the menu, instead of the omelettes
