Granita siciliana buonissima. Adatto a colazioni, merende e aperitivi.

Famous in the city for its gtanitas, don't miss the chance to try them. Ditto for the arancini. Sometimes it's a bit crowded, but the quality of the products is worth the wait. Friendly staff! Remember to reserve the brioche if you're ordering more than 5 :D It's worth it.

Nice place, a little too exposed to the street, delicious food: very good granitas, amazing arancini, and average but good brioches. Service could be improved; try to get less distracted and work harder ☺️.

I agree with the many reviews already written. The place's appearance is deceiving, but the few things they do are good. I would, however, recommend that they make a real pizza, not the one you see on the counter... I enjoyed a calzone (a Sicilian word for "cartocciata" - a wrapper with ham and cheese) filled to the brim with high-quality ingredients, and a cannolo whose ricotta reminded me of the flavors of Sicily.

Before leaving, we tried a granita at the Etna ice cream parlor in Brescia… and what a surprise! It's simply the best granita I've ever eaten. I've tasted many in my life, but this one surpasses them all. A true explosion of freshness and flavor. I highly recommend it!

Very good products, a little dated and small inside, but with a decent outdoor seating area. I was there last Saturday morning (today, April 1, 2023). I'm not saying you have to be cheerful and smiling all the time when you work, but a little more kindness towards customers wouldn't hurt... (Without any specific reference to either of the two girls in the shop).

This pastry shop is conveniently located near the hospital. Free and paid parking is available nearby. The pastry shop is brightly lit, although the interior isn't very large, and has a retro style that hasn't changed much over the years. It does have a fairly comfortable veranda, which is useful for securing a few extra seats. The products are truly delicious and fresh. I had breakfast: a soy cappuccino and whole-wheat honey brioche (excellent). The staff was friendly and polite. Prices are in line with other pastry shops in the area: I paid €3.20. I'll be back.

Glimpses of Sicily in Brescia. The granita is excellent, and the brioche col tuppo could be improved. Kind and friendly staff, also offering table service. You can find all the Sicilian specialties, from desserts and pastries to hot food. Top 🔝 highly recommended.

I often visit this Sicilian pastry shop located near the Brescia Civil Hospital. You can enjoy Sicilian specialties year-round, including granitas, which are only available in a few flavors in the winter, while in the summer the selection also includes a wide variety of seasonal fruits. Sicilian cannoli, marzipan fruit, and pastries, as well as arancini, focaccia, and calzones for a quick lunch. I highly recommend it!

Excellent products, a truly unique granita with brioche "con il tuppo" (a kind of brioche with a tuft of brioche). There's no one else in the area that comes close to matching this quality. The same goes for the deli products. Unfortunately, the service leaves a bit to be desired, but we all have bad days! Overall, a real gem. 🫶🏻

We purchased takeout from this Sicilian-inspired pastry shop. The brioches and cannoli were delicious. The fruit granita was truly delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Congratulations!

I had breakfast at this pastry shop one August morning with an almond granita (with a bold flavor) and small cannoli, which were good, though not the best I've ever had. The place was quite crowded, but the service wasn't too slow overall. I'd recommend it for trying the aforementioned products, and I'll personally return to try the brioche, which looked inviting.

Gelso e fico? Non so…

2 arancini e 2 cannoli 14 euro.

I've known the place since 2010. The products are top-quality, but lately the service has been very poor. The girls who work chat among themselves and waste a lot of time taking reservations and preparing them. If there aren't many people, it's the same, no difference. In my opinion, the place needs a refresh; it's been getting a bit dated for a long time with three tables inside. Instead of employing three or four girls, employ one or two who love their job. I recommend it.

Despite the small number of people in the restaurant, the service was very slow and inaccurate. The waitress got my order wrong and came to the table a couple of times, saying that some items I'd previously ordered would be ready in at least twenty minutes. So I changed the brioche I'd ordered and she brought me a nice, large cream brioche, and I waited for the rest of my orders to eat it. Unfortunately, she then came to the table with the other items and an extra cream brioche, so she took away the one she'd given me before (luckily I hadn't touched it yet). Honestly, for hygiene reasons first and foremost, something like this shouldn't happen. Also, there was a hair in the granita at the counter, which I discreetly pointed out to one of the girls. Despite everything, I found the cannoli to be good, and the granita to be decent.

*Edit August 22nd: It's almost 9:00 and the brioche is out. It's embarrassing to have to leave. Let's go to the Chinese place on the corner, it's better. They should have granita. If a customer asks for it and they say, "No, we're not making granita today," it seems like they're not making it out of lack of desire and not for any other reason (maybe it's the mid-August holiday?). At that point, with this heat, you might as well close or let them know. Unfortunately, it's the only granita shop in the area, but I've often had the impression that the management is "Brescia-style." It's a shame because the products and service are good.

This bar—for that's what it is—is, in my opinion, yet another attempt to exploit Sicilian tradition, claiming to be a "granita shop." However, the granitas (already of questionable quality, and I speak with full knowledge of the facts, being from Catania) are almost always missing, except in very few flavors. We've walked in several times and found the flavors we wanted to order unavailable. On one occasion, I had to opt for another flavor after the girl taking my order told me the chocolate one wasn't available, only to discover, when paying (ten minutes later), that that flavor had just been restocked. But what harm did she have in asking if I was willing to wait a few minutes? The most serious incident, however, occurred on another occasion. We arrived two hours before opening, eager to enjoy a granita, since the other direct competitor (the one in Brescia, which we prefer) was closed for vacation. But inside, there were only three flavors available: almond, lemon, and coffee. We politely asked if other flavors would be brought out. The lady, with a haughty air, replied that she couldn't tell us when or which flavors would be available, saying something like, "I can't tell you when; they're preparing them little by little; there's no point in telling you if it'll take half an hour, an hour, or two!" Not only should a place that calls itself a "granite shop" never have limited granitas available, but the disinterest with which we were dismissed is emblematic of poor customer service. The subtext is, "It doesn't matter if you don't sit down." It would have been enough for the lady—who was certainly not there by chance—to have informed us of the flavors being prepared and asked her colleague how long the wait would be. A gesture of courtesy and thoughtfulness that we would certainly have appreciated, regardless of the outcome. Instead, it seems there's no desire to meet even the minimum service requirements. Unfortunately, this situation is quite common in Brescia. I often encounter situations that have nothing to do with the typical Southern hospitality, like coffee shops that don't serve coffee but only cocktails because they closed the coffee section a minute early (!), bars that won't serve you croissants because it's a minute before opening, supermarkets that won't let you have a bottle of water for the night because they're "closing"... And I could go on and on. When I say "a minute," I mean a minute, without adding or subtracting anything. This rigidity leaves those, like me, accustomed to the flexibility and hospitality typical of the South astounding, not to mention the heart-stopping prices, still disproportionate despite being able to count on more generous wages than those in the South (but this is a systemic problem unique to Italy). In conclusion, a complete fail. Among other things, the granitas they serve are melted and the brioche col tuppo are pale and raw. Only an innocent local could fall for it. Unfortunately, we were just going to settle.
