Suzette Bridgeway Reviews
Such a charming little French spot. I stopped by during a short visit to Sausalito and had a drink here, and it was a lovely experience. I highly recommend the Plum (Toulouse) Spritz — incredibly refreshing and delicious. I also had some bread and butter, which was simple but very pleasant. I sat outside with a beautiful view of the sunset. There were fire heaters that kept everything warm and cosy, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The service was kind and attentive — without even asking, we were offered blankets when it got a bit chilly, which was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, a very sweet, relaxed place with great drinks, a lovely setting, and genuinely caring service. A wonderful spot to enjoy the evening.
Dede our French server was amazing. The atmosphere was chill and perfect. We had the Raclette plate, oysters and the monkfish. Very reasonable wine prices. Skip Scoma’s, stop here! Plus the view of the bay is spectacular.
Great experience at this restaurant with a beautiful waterfront view. It was my first time in Sausalito, and everything was wonderful. Special thanks to our server, Renaugh, for the amazing service — truly outstanding. The food was delicious! Highly recommend trying their hot cheese with potatoes; it was a holiday special and absolutely amazing. I’ll definitely be coming back.
So many good choices for foods. I had a hard time picking what I wanted! Service was so nice & very fast, we sat outside and had the beautiful Sausalito view. We're regulars here whenever we visit Sausalito! 100% recommend 🔥
The best place in this area. Amazing view, beautiful interior, delicious food, very cozy and good music. The only thing is that we waited longer than usual for our food, but there is one man working at the bar who also acts as a hostess and a waiter in one person. So we were understanding. I recommend trying the apricot dessert. Very cozy place, we will definitely come back here again.
This was our third time at Suzette in Sausalito and it just keeps getting better! The Pain Perdu with berry compote and cream was incredible — crisp outside, soft inside, with the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The Gaufres with fresh berries and cream were light, fluffy, and full of flavor. And the Steak Frites was spot on — tender, perfectly cooked steak with a rich sauce and crispy fries that were addictive. The food is consistently amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the service is always great. Every bite was a joy. Suzette is easily one of our favorite spots in Sausalito, and we’ll keep coming back!
One of the better French restaurants in the Bay Area. French chef + French staff makes for a very French experience with the BEST views of the bay. Perfect date night location too.
When I went everything was booked around and very busy usually during weekends, they accepted walking, very welcoming place is right in the heart of Sausalito food good place super clean small portions.
Delicious lunch!! Fresh, cold oysters, French onion soup excellent ( needs a slice of french bread on side for us non-french crowd😀), and steak and frites were extra yummy!
I had a lovely brunch at Suzette with a friend! We both enjoyed our meals- I had the French toast with a cappuccino and she had a crispy omelette with roasted potatoes. Both meals were very well made. The service was lovely and we enjoyed sitting outside in the nice weather. The view from the sidewalk was beautiful!
Lovely atmosphere, service and food! Truly felt like a European cafe experience. Ordered the very cozy salted caramel latte + French toast- great water views and people watching spot in Sausalito.
A Central Spot with Fantastic Food and Warm Hospitality! I recently visited this charming French restaurant with a group of friends, and it was such a delightful experience! When I arrived around 3:00 PM, I asked if they had space for six people. At first, the host seemed a little confused, but he quickly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He even rearranged tables to accommodate us, which we truly appreciated. The service throughout the visit was impeccable—everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! I had the scrambled egg sandwich, and since I’m vegetarian, they happily left out the bacon for me. It’s always nice when a restaurant caters to dietary preferences so effortlessly. To round things off, the coffee was solid—a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. The ambiance was also lovely, making the whole experience even better. Honestly, I can’t understand some of the four-star reviews here. This place deserves at least a 4.5, if not the full five stars! Highly recommend visiting.
Great food and atmosphere. Prices are on the higher side but worth it for the view.
My husband and I enjoy going to Suzette‘s for breakfast and dinner. I know they’re open for lunch too, but we usually eat lunch at home. The view from this restaurant is outstanding! The service is from experienced waiters. I appreciate the knowledge they have about the food and the drinks. It’s fine to sit outside and see the locals walking by. It always puts a smile on my face to have a meal here.
Wow, what a breakfast with a view! Found this little gem while driving through the town for the first time. They are right across the road from the Bay and either indoor or outdoor seating has a great view. The French breakfast we had was a perfect delicacy! It was a fun treat to have fresh ingredients put together in such a pretty presentation. The staff were so friendly, the decor & ambiance cute, and the food was great quality.
Fantastic and authentic French. Immaculate and attentive service. Pictures speak for themselves. Recommend you stop by!

Onion soup and beef bourguignon were good, flavorful and tender. Crispy omelette turned out to be a bit dry. Overall nice inexpensive cafe in great location.

Passed by on our first day in Sausalito and my wife was enticed by the French onion soup. She had that and the curry mussels. I had the lil gem salad and steak frites. Both were marvelous. The soup was the best my wife has had. The frites were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The steak was perfectly done and the peppercorn sauce added the ideal flavor. We finished with the chocolate mousse which had an amazing Carmel sauce on top.
We tried 3 meals. The ratatouille omelette was watery covered with an herbed white sauce (resembling sourcream) trying to compensate for some substance - in vain, the inside out omlette was rubbery, and the ratatouille egg sandwich was no different from the ratatouille egg. I liked the simple side salad and the potato. The place looked clean, and it had the Bay-view. It will be obvious who is the king at this small eatery once you are served by the Guy. Brace for the encounter.

Food looks good in the picture but doesn’t taste good at all. Worse ciabatta burger and omelets we had. Mimosa not good at all! Not worth for the price we paid.
Idk about you, but $36 for 4 scallops feels like a scam. Misleading menu prices, charged more than what the menu said. Nothing special about the food, NOT worth the price. You pay for the view and MOH. Friendly and energetic service, with an expansive view of the bay. $130 for 2 people got us 2 appetizers, a glass of wine, and an extremely stingily portioned entree. Only come here if you're wealthy and can afford anything because it is an absolutely adorable spot.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was upsetting. I waited without being acknowledged while customers who arrived after me were greeted warmly and served right away. The difference in treatment was noticeable and uncomfortable. It did not feel like customers were being treated equally. Whether intentional or not, this kind of experience raises serious concerns about fairness and inclusivity. Everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of respect. I hope management reflects on this and improves staff training, because no one should walk away feeling unwelcome. I won’t be returning
I went to Suzette a few days after they opened. I was happily surprised about the price of the capuccino which tasted great. However, since then my experience has been very different. Last time, I ordered a mocha the taste was mediocre and $7.00+ before tip; today I ordered a hot chocolate hoping that it would make up for the very cold weather. At $8.22 before tip, one would expect a perfect drink! It was so sugary that I basically could not drink it. The bartender nicely offered to try to fix it stating that he had put too much chocolate. When I said maybe just add a shot of expresso, he insisted on just remaking it. Ghirardelli chocolate with 23g of added sugar is certainly not to the best chocolate to use to start with. He tried his best; it was slightly less sugary but not more chocolatey. My last time at Suzette!! Sorry, I wish that being French I could support my compatriots!
