Wahaca Brighton

There was about a 20-minute wait to be seated even though we had a table booked. However, service was good and the food was simply divine! Everything was hot and served quickly. The pork belly was beautiful, as were the tacos. The cocktails were fantastic and complimented the food perfectly. Two main meals, 2 deserts and 2 cocktails cost just over £70.....which was well worth every penny. Highly recommend (unless your on a strict time schedule) 10/10

Delicious and well presented food and drinks. The staff were attentive and friendly, we were a large group of 16, so this was hugely appreciated. Look forward to visiting again!

We hadn't reserved so had a short wait for a table but the food was well worth it. Incredible tacos and the sweet Potato bravos were insanely good. Everything we ate was fantastic and would recommend the tiramisu tres leches for pudding. Great service too.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! I ate here with my daughter today and the food was simply delicious! I had the slow cooked pork pozole with a three cheese quesadilla and my daughter had the grilled ajillo chicken club quesadilla with the crispy cauliflower bites. Both are highly recommended, we didn’t leave anything because it was so unbelievably tasty! We had incredible drinks too, I had the marmalade mezcalita and she had the horchata (rice milk that literally tastes like custard sprinkled with cinnamon) also highly recommend these too. But the best bit were the desserts.. I had the tiramisu and she had the chocolate and pecan cake, both were the nicest desserts we’ve ever had! I also had the cazcabel coffee tequila which was the perfect ending to my meal. We will definitely be coming back and bringing family and friends with us!! Our server was so lovely and polite too which made our experience even better. She said she was training but it felt like she’d been doing it for years.

I hadn't been to wahaca in years but popped in for a quick solo lunch while I was in town. From the get-go the service was exemplary, I can't recall the lovely waitress name but on the receipt says server: JC S, she helped me pick a delicous selection of food, stopped me from over-ordering and recommended amazing cocktails. Friendly and personable service all executed with stylish and effotless ease. Would give more than 5 stars for service, if i could. Give that girl a raise. I'll be back and next time with a crew. Went here tonight for Valentine’s Day, service was lovely and efficient by our server Charly. He made sure to check up on us whilst seeing if we would like anything else as well. Overall I’d say this is an amazing place to eat and would 100% recommend to friends, will be coming back.

The food was really nice, different to what I was expecting taste wise but definitely not bad, the textures were great and we LOVED our drinks. We got vegan churros at the end and they tasted great as well. The service was one of the best ever, our host, Lauren, was incredibly sweet and funny and she made our experience a thousand times better. The reason we went into the place was because of how pretty and nice it looked like from the outside, and the inside was even better. Great lighting, spacious and tall ceilings, and cool graphics all around.

I went to Wahaca on 22/12/2025 at 7pm as we had a family booking. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were served by Lilith who was very courteous and understanding. She took time to explain the menu and the many dishes available to us. We had some vegetarian dishes that were very tasty and well served. She is an outstanding example in all that she recommended because she listened and understood what was needed for our family. A massive thank you to her for a a very satisfied family dinner.

Really good food, luckily we came on the day wen they we’re launching the new menu for their winter season… was sensational, Nik and Syenna served us today (sorry if i spelled it wrong) really nice and made are lunch happy and easy .. will for sure come back

Wahaca came highly recommended by family & it did not disappoint😊 We were a group of 5 and went without a booking but got seated by Javier right away who was very cheery and kind! Our server Nicki was lovely, patient and very helpful! She helped us choose what portions were best for our group & we ended up ordering two Wahaca Favorites to share and one Wahaca For One as well as some sides like the broccoli and went home with PLENTY of leftovers, all the food was very filling, clean and fresh! The Baja Fish tacos especially stood out along with the Sweet Potato & Feta Taquito which was also super yummy. Many vegan options as well as halal options too! The drinks were delicious as well and the chips & dips we began with were super fresh, light, and definitely a big hit with the kids! Would come again happily!🥰

Celebrating my birthday there was an incredible experience, from the delicious food, like the sea bass tacos ( it was so good that I forgot to take pics ) , to the drinks. I took a chance and scored a free drink with my three cocktails, and the passion fruit one was absolutely the best. The staff was fantastic, friendly, attentive, 10/10. If you're nearby Brighton, I highly recommend checking it out for a memorable celebration.

2nd time coming here. Food is absolutely fantastic, so many different things to try. Drinks menu is delicious and creative. Staff are so lovely and welcoming. Lots of seating space both inside and out, beautiful decor and perfect ambient lighting really ties everything together. Will be coming back again and again 🙏

These quys managed to fit us in, despite not having a reservation on theatre night. Every member of staff that dealt with us was attentive, polite and delivered top notch service. I don’t know her name, a young girl with blondish hair gave us some recommendations and the food was out standing, as were the cocktails. We’ll definitely be back.

Really liked the experience, first time visiting this restaurant. Charlie really looked after us very well, went through the food and drinks menu helped us decide what to choose. The amount of plates that we ordered were delicious, chicken and avocado tacos really tasty. Cocktails were great too. Lovely atmosphere and Charlie kept an eye on us, checking if everything was okay. 👍

I want to start out by giving the staff they was working the 3rd of August a massive shout-out! The top 3 best service I've ever had! The food was great! I usually order burrito when I can, because I love burritos, and it was fantastic, as well as all the other items we had. The place was really clean (that includes the restrooms). Edit: 2025. A year later. Coriander is now on the menu. I specifically asked for Burrito without coriander, they delivered, so much so that they delivered the guacamole with as little coriander as possible. The meal was delicious! The 3rd bite was awful due to too much coriander, after that I performed a surgical precision removing excess coriander and it was great! TLDR: I'm one of 5% that hates coriander, if you like it you'll love this place. Keeps the 5 star rating. --- original One point! I hate coriander, there was no mention of coriander on the menu (that I noticed), this nasty soap tasting spice ruins everything it touches and it was on everything. Had it not been for my surgical precision picking it out I would have had a very different experience.

Impressed with the service & gluten free options here. Given a gluten free menu & also received an allergen chart which is amazing for checking for other allergens. Service and food was fast, considering it was a busy Saturday. I had a chicken sunshine bowl and it was delicious.

Great restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. The sea bass was especially tasty! Special thanks to Evie and Alex for their wonderful hospitality and for taking care of my mother’s avocado allergy.

Amazing restaurant. Really nice setting and atmosphere. Staff are so so nice. Shout out to Lilith, our waitress, she was super accommodating and really nice, one of the nicest service experiences I’ve had. Food was great, took a little longer than expected to arrive (they did seem a little short staffed), but we got free guacamole and tortilla chips which were amazing and a great touch.

Second time that I have been to this location. Very tasty menu with Mexican food and big chair for children. There has been some delay due to a confusion order and they made a small discount without us asking. Good customer service.

Hi! I had a pleasant opportunity for the first time trying out Mexican food in the UK for my 2 th anniversary. I absolutely loved the staff's friendliness and the atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic to one chef to another!. Well done! As well the cleanliness!. Thank you for the polite and friendly service!. Keep up the good work especially the staff and chef who were serving us at 23-4-22 at 6 pm. I would recommend anyone to spice up their life and try new things and that restaurant in my opinion as a chef is more than the first step forward! Compliment to the chef that made my evening 10 times better than it already was!

Love the new interior of the restaurant. Our dining experience was incredible. How wonderful was our waitress Sienna. The bar staff were also lovely as was the food! Food came out fast and fresh. The mezcalita drink was my favourite. Thank you to the staff especially sienna who was so lovely and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

I ended up getting a dish I've been wanting to try for a long time. Puerco pibil. I got the burrito with a side of sweet patatas bravs. The Cerveza local small batch beer the Mexican way went down a treat. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Very glad I popped in.

Super food and great service. Charly S was friendly, efficient and attentive for example checking everything was okay a short while after delivering each course - without fail - and apologising for a slight delay on desserts which would have gone unmentioned elsewhere. Charly also had good menu knowledge and was brilliant with our daughter. The best bit - no delay between receiving the bill and the card machine arriving (always drags the end of a lovely meal into tedium). We will be back soon.

It was my first time in Wahaca. I was introduced by my mate who was visiting from London for the day. We were greeted by Vincenzo (very handsome) who seated us and offered the menu. A few minutes later, Natasha came to the table and took our order. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and suggested what we could have. We took up her suggestions and the food was delicious. Natasha was a gem and played along with us. She is an asset to Wahaca.She definitely had the 'hospitality touch'. Natasha went on her break, so Lauren presented us with the bill. Lauren was equally nice. Our main takeaway was not a doggy bag (lol), but was the high level of consistency in terms of the food. beers and service quality amongst Vincenzo, Natasha and Lauren. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my guests, family and friends. A GREAT first time experience!

A lovely experience from start to finish. Warmly greeted by not only maître d’ but also all team members that walked by. We were then seated and guided by Charly, we only wanted a quick small plate or two and their recommendations really were spot on! Food was delicious, very quick service but we were not at all rushed. Charly was wonderfully professional but in a warm, open and familiar way, giving room for light conversation whilst still making sure we were looked after. Thanks Charly, you’re great at your job!

Cannot fault this place today was my first time going in after walking past for months. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was absolutely delicious (I got a sunshine bowl) and great selection of cocktails both alcoholic and non. Love the decoration and atmosphere too

I had the privilege of introducing my 82 year old mother to Wahaca Brighton where she enjoyed her first Margarita. We had an excellent late lunch with amazingly good food. The staff treated us like VIP guests and made us both feel very welcome. I highly recommend.

The food was delicious. We each had a "wahaca for one" which includes guacamole, hummus, tortilla chips, a taquito, and two tacos of your choice. I chose the pork pibil and beef gringa. it all comes nicely presented on a board. the hummus had a dash of hot sauce but wasn't too spicy. I also had the passionfruit hibiscus cooler, which was really refreshing. we had a table booked for 5:40 on a Saturday and the restaurant was full, it was quite loud and difficult to hear each other across the table. it took a long time for the drinks to come and a long time for the food to come - all was ordered at the same time around 10minutes after arriving. we were in the restaurant for around 2 hrs. no one ever came to ask if we were OK, or wanted any more drinks, or a water top up, and it was difficult to get the attention of the waiters partly due to the volume.

Extensive outside and inside seating with cosy atmosphere. Food was delicious and packed with complex flavours! Recommended the ‘Favourites’ sharing option which satisfies a range of tastes. Each dish was brought out when made which gave us time to enjoy each dish warm. Great drink pairing options. Bill was easily payable through QR code on the table which added to the hassle free experience. Service charge was added.

Excellent food that was extremely tasty- from burritos to hibiscus-glazed aubergine and pork belly. Good selection of drinks and sweets too, especially the brownie. However, service was extremely slow for both mains (though our order was taken quickly) and desserts. Even had to remind them of a missing main. A bit disappointing; but only 1 star off as the overall experience was enjoyable nonetheless.

Wahaca takeaway hit the spot! We had the Buttermilk Chicken Tacos, Crispy Cauliflower Bites, Cheesy Toasted Melted Cheese, Quesadilla Sandwich, and Sweet Potato—every bite was packed with flavor. Nothing felt greasy, just tasty, fresh, and filling. The cauliflower bites were crispy perfection, and the tacos were juicy with a kick. Bonus points for their eco-friendly packaging—love a meal that’s kind to the planet too. Fast, flavorful, and feel-good food. Will definitely order again.

Nice spot for Mexican food! Loved the food. The portion size and good and so is the taste. Many options to chose from in the menu. Drinks are great too. Service was nice and host was lovely. However make sure you book the table in advance as it gets busy. Loved the fact that they serve unlimited chips with your guacamole 🥑

Great place to go in the summer, outdoor seating has really good shade. Ordered the Wahacas for one, really liked the fish tacos!! However the tortilla chips were very hard but the rest of the food + cocktails were amazing :) Lovely waitress too!

Great food, it was fresh and presented nicely. A lively atmosphere but not too loud, and the waiter was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, after 1 hour 10mins we were told that we needed to leave our table as more people were coming. No time for desserts. We had a reservation and expected a minimum of 1.5-2 hours for a meal out.. would probably avoid going if you want to stay for more than an hour.
