The proud cafe of Brisbane! Seems like everyone knows one another when you’re in here. It’s very wholesome energy in this cafe. Noise is a decent amount in case you’re trying to work on laptop or take meetings, but great for meeting up with friends or just hanging out.

There was only one person working there on a Saturday at 12pm but he was very nice. Im a patient person so I didn’t mind the wait since I came here on a coffee date. Delicious chai & good music. I love the outdoor seating area :) limited street parking

Nice and friendly staff. Very clean, quiet, and tranquil. Great place to catch up with an old friend or get some work done. Ended up getting a caramel macchiato ☕️ 🥮

Very well crafted espresso drinks, including a cappuccino that was not just a small latte, which is unfortunately rare these days. Cool place, nice location, cozy patio.

Brisbane, City of Stars, has the cutest cafe. Laidback vibe, ambience & decor provides a reprieve from the rest of the world. Looking out the window looks like a perpetual autumn in New England. Great baristas and servers. Interesting selection of music and lively conversations amongst both workers and patrons.

A really nice and cute place not like other big companies where they do everything for you and it's charming because we ordered our coffee poured our own sweeteners. And this makes sense because the staff are busy and don't have time to pay attention to you so if you are used to having everything done for you then I recommend some other place. And that's fine because my sister likes her coffee already prepared being that she payed 6$.

Only had 100 note and a dollar in USD with me today; unfortunately the shop don’t accept large note understandably so; what was so nice to see was the girl working there accepting my coffee for a dollar. What an awesome and nice gesture! She just made my day a little brighter! The coffee and the place was great too!!

Coffee is the star here. This is a simple, neighborhood coffee shop to have a brewed drip coffee and something carbs to set your stomach. The locals are proudly old-Brisbane, so be friendly and neighborly and leave your pretensions at your tech bubble job.

I happened to be here on an amazing day, so say outside to enjoy my iced coffee and breakfast wrap while getting in a little work. It was a great to be able to sit outside with a view of main street Brisbane. The coffee was fine, the food pretty good, staff friendly, and definitely a local place with a strong local vibe. Wifi is free, but no power outlets outside. They also not open late for you night owls, but for a daytime coffee stop to support a local business and relax a bit, perfect.

Good coffee and both indoor and outdoor seating. The back patio is huge so be sure to check it out. They have breakfast bagels and pastries from the City Bakery. Also quiches, and juice drinks and teas of course. Be sure to get the 5 stars reward card. You'll be getting free pastries and coffee in no time.

Among the most scenic coffee houses around. Be sure to take a look at the terraced patio outside. Not much to eat but the coffee is decent and it's a great place for conversation. The music others mention is the taste of whoever is working there at the time and is usually not turned up loud at all. And again, just go outside to the patio and it'll be very quiet.

Tasty Cappies served here by Natalie. Can't beat good coffee served in china by happy person. Cool little building too. Free WiFi here. Great view down Visitacion in the cute town of Brisbane. 100% worth it to stop by Madhouse Coffee.

Was there for a late breakfast. About 10:00 ish on a weekend. The shelf was almost empty. A few bagels and 2 English muffins left. Ordered a muffin toasted with butter and jam. Along with black coffee. Food was bused to my table. The muffin was clearly hand made, sour dough. Very rich with both butter and jam on it. Was a good thing to have the black coffee. Either butter or jam would have done the job. Butter will show case the muffin better. Place is old and cozy. Has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Boutique cafe with a New York Bohemian flair. Laid back, cozy spot with good coffee and plenty of pastries to eat . Nice retreat when looking to take time to be mindful and practice gratitude 🙏💖💖

Madhouse Coffee is at the end of the street in downtown Brisbane. It's a super cute, sleepy location. I had my hopes up for a similar experience inside. Unfortunately it lacks charm in its decor and its drinks. Although it appeared the rest of town was still in bed at 10am on a Sunday, the shop was bustling. The line was to the door and with the barista pulling double duty at the register, the service lacked quality. It was also evident in the latte I ordered as he scooped froth into the cup rather than delicately pouring it. Madhouse lived up to it's name in all the wrong ways.

Pretty average, through and through. Microwaved hot food options, often they are out of menu items, and of what they do have its at pretty standard quality. I'm usually disappointed in the food but nothing tragic. Service is mixed; sometimes you get friendly and quick, other times apathetic and slow. Regular black coffee is okay, can't speak to other beverages. The spot itself is its best attribute, nice indoor and outdoor areas to sit and relax. It has a lot of potential, I just wish they all around raised the bar on quality since there aren't many other options in the area.

Mediocre, expensive coffee and pastries. I'm sure it's a convenient coffee shop and hangout spot if you live nearby, but don't go out of your way to try this place.

I came here because I checked the good reviews this place has. But I have to leave a bad one. I ordered a caramel macchiato and a spinach quiche to go. The coffee was good but THE QUICHE WAS TERRIBLE. I couldn’t eat it, i had to spit out the first bite right away. I don’t do that with food, this is very rare for me. But this quiche tasted very old!! and the lady that gave it to me basically recooked it on the microwave. The coffee is okay but I DONT RECOMMEND EATING THE FOOD HERE. NOT FRESH. The place wasn’t very clean and tidy either. Didn’t look as good as in the pictures.

This was my first time here. Recently, I started working in the area; and since then I’ve been trying to find a good place to get my daily cup. I read about the wonderful customer service in the reviews and saw the place in the pics and was looking forward to the experience. But all I got in the way of decent customer service was a hello after I had been standing at the counter for about 8 minutes. I didn’t even get a thank you after I had paid and received my drink. I did leave a tip even though I felt unappreciated as a customer. Customer service is hard work so I left something, but I don’t think I’ll be back.
