The food was amazing!! Came out super quick and it was very reasonably priced. Great spot for me and my girlfriend to eat at before Hamilton because it’s only a 2 minute walk from the theater. Angel was a great host, even took a picture of me and my girlfriend for our first time at Dutch Fred’s!

Dutch Fred pub is an upscale haven in Hell's kitchen. Our server Abby was helpful, efficient and quick. The pub is decorated in a quirky but classy style and the music was great too. They have a large bar and space for a private party too. I really liked the menu which had something for everyone including vegetarian offers. I had brie cheese quesidillas and arugula flatbread. They were both very yummy. I would definitely recommend this restaurant/ pub to couples and friends anytime! Also Shane answered the phone and helped me make a reservation! Very good customer service.

We had brunch at Dutch Fred’s. We randomly picked it but it has been one of the highlights of our trip. It was all decorated for Christmas and everyone was very friendly. We got Duke’s Duet to share as a cocktail before brunch- it was great and served in a teapot. So cool! Leslie got the Bacon egg and cheese sandwich (without the egg) and home fries. It was wonderful and the home fries were great - crispy! I got the stuffed french toast with bananas, fresh fruit and syrup- it hit the spot! Our friends got the eggs Benedict and loved them. Just a great brunch, great service and great atmosphere! We will definitely come back again the next time we are in NYC.

We were in NYC to catch a show, looking for a place to eat - forgetting it was Valentine’s Weekend. Mayelah, the hostess assured us she will be able to find us a spot. Angel was a delight, seated us promptly with a corner seat near the bar. Dutch Fred’s is an amazing stop for your New York get aways. We held close to the lighter fares and cocktails, in my opinion is a superb way to experience the joys of what they have to offer. They knocked it out of the park with the waygu sliders, pork bao buns ( some of the best I’ve ever sampled) and the ginger chili shrimp. Cocktails? You can’t go wrong. Each turn was a delight and during the holidays was just exactly what I needed to stumble into. Brava!

By far our favorite restaurant that we went to while in NYC! Such a cute place for Christmas & not too crowded like most popular restaurants. Our waitress, Abby, was great. Everyone here was very nice. Great food, the “small plates” are definitely a good size to be a full meal.

I was at Dutch Fred’s last night and had such a great experience thanks to my waitress, Melly. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain everything to me without making me feel rushed. She was also super attentive every other time I’ve been here, I usually end up waiting a while for a server to come around, but not with her. She was always nearby, checking in at the perfect moments, and I never felt like I had to wait to communicate with her. Melly truly made my visit enjoyable, and her service really stood out. Highly recommend asking for her!

Great experience. Prompt and nice and the food was better than I expected (brisket hash with the onions. Good flavor, extremely perfectly cooked poached eggs). Very importantly, we ordered bottomless mimosas and the mimosas were regularly topped off. I do tho think the flavors/taste of some of the mimosa flavors that aren’t traditional could be improved.

We are staying at a hotel nearby. Our dinner reservation was for a late dinner. We needed a snack to tide us over. My son picked Dutch Fred’s as it was just around the corner from our hotel. It was our good fortune that Abby was our server. She was managing large parties and never lost attention to our party of two here for small bites. Welcoming, great food and genuinely a warm place to be. Highly recommend Abby and Dutch Fred’s!

This is an absolute gem in the middle of the busiest place in the city. A couple of streets off Times Square, you can eat delicious food, enjoy beer, wine and lots of cocktails. The feeling is downtown meets SOHO and the West Village but without the attitude and long lines. Very highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at Dutch Fred’s, and a big part of it was thanks to the bartender(FINN). I was there with my friends Katya and Coley, and from the moment we sat down, he was attentive, professional, and genuinely caring. It was clear he really knows his craft, but what stood out most was how well he took care of us—great recommendations, smooth service, and a great vibe all around. It’s rare to find a bartender who doesn’t just make great drinks, but actually looks out for you and makes sure you’re having a good night. I love this place every time I visit, it is so convenient and has tasty food and great cocktails. This visit was especially good since we were so well taken care of by Angel and the rest of the staff. We got in early and had a two top and they were so nice to move us when two friends joined, and when we had to go to the bar bc of a reso, they happily moved us and then even came back to give us another table when it opened up. This exceptional care by Angel really made our holiday night catching up with old friends special, I’m so grateful to Angel for taking such good care of us. Excellent discovery on Valentine's Day right off Times Square. Cozy vibes and ambiance! We ducked in for espresso martinis and a charcuterie board before heading to Times Square vow renewal ceremony. Amazing special touch was when they showed up with two glasses of prosecco complete with a fresh raspberry "because we were celebrating a vow renewal". WOW!! Such a fun celebration and wonderful touch to our evening! Highly recommend!

We went here for wings and soup one day and brunch the next and we LOVED it both times. The food was surprisingly delicious for a simple restaurant front. And so convenient to the theater. We will be back! Eliel was a talented bartender and the service overall was awesome.

We were in this past Saturday, ahead of the impending snowstorm to hit, and we couldn't have had a better time. Our bartender, Finn—was attentive, friendly, and more importantly, personable. So many of these places have employees who look bored, "over it," or like they just hate their jobs, which brings everything else down. But having being in atmosphere like this, makes the place, actually fun. I wish more establishments "figured this out." Brunch 'Steak and Eggs' was culinary level, delicious, and we don't live in the neighborhood, but we're planning on making the trek downtown regularly because we were so impressed with the place! No wonder this places is crowded all the time!

This is a great spot for a bite to eat and they have awesome cocktails. A pretty decent sized menu and friendly staff. Loved the bang bang shrimp and the pork belly bao. My friend and I stopped by here late one night a couple weeks ago, and the bartender Max was excellent! He was so personable and fun to talk to. All of the drinks we had were delicious and the service was great and very fast. There was no wait to sit at the bar and the whole restaurant had a good vibe. Not overly crowded at all, but enough people that it still felt lively. Thanks Max! You were great and we would definitely come back.

We wandered into the city on Thursday to see the TREE In Rockefeller Centerand St. Patrick’s Cathedral Then decide to find a place to have a bite to eat. We were looking for someplace festive, friendly and good food and boy. Did we lock out when we came Upon Dutch Freds. The place was Amazingly decorated for Christmas, and from the moment we walked in it was a magical. Despite the huge crowd Angel was able to find us a seat quickly And luckily, in a section being serviced by Melissa. She was super friendly and provided outstanding service. Her recommendations for Food spot on and service impeccable. The food exceeded my expectations, both in quantity quality and taste. Thanks to the friendly and fantastic service by Melissa, the delicious food and warm atmosphere this is definitely a destination spot for me in the future. I will highly recommend it to all my friends.

Upon entering, I was greeted by a lovely hostess named Mayelah with a beautiful smile & spirit. Her presence truly elevated the dining experience! I decided to sit at the bar, & the great, attentive bartender made me aware that it was “Wine Wednesday”. I enjoyed a $10 Argentina Malbec & $10 Arugula flatbread. It was a great pour of wine, & while the flatbread didn’t blow me away, I left satisfied due to the low price & the great service. Will definitely return!

Yesterday I wanted to take my 16 year old daughter to dinner before a play. I’m sick of the same old places, so I tried to find something new, to me. Dutch Fred’s was close walking distance, and the menu looked fun. With great appetizers selections, as well as a dinner menu my daughter could enjoy. We got there a little early and the server was more than happy to seat us right away. The place was beautiful. The bar was long, and you can tell from the bar that they were more like mixologist, not bartenders. Our server was Abby, she had a warm smile and was great at making suggestions. I had an amazing gin drink she suggested. My daughter had a delicious mocktail that made her feel special. We told her the appetizers we were looking at, and she loved our choices. Buffalo chicken spring rolls and Chips and Guacamole. Both delicious. For dinner we both had a burger, my daughter a smash burger and myself the Dutch Burger. We couldn’t even eat half. Though it was delicious, we couldn’t finish it. But ….. there is Always room for dessert. Chocolate moose served in a jar with homemade whipped cream and strawberries. It was lite and delicious. Would definitely recommend. And if you get Abby as a server …. It’s your lucky day!

I absolutely love the Dutch Fred’s. It’s very close to my job, and the atmosphere is always so much fun. First of all, Angel, the host, is amazing. Last night was extremely busy, and I was worried we wouldn’t get a spot because I had friends visiting from Florida and had recommended this bar to them. I asked Angel if he could take care of us, and he truly went above and beyond—so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Thanks to him, we were seated quickly without much waiting. Angel is truly the best. Our first waitress, Ashley (I hope I got her name right), was absolutely adorable and gave wonderful menu recommendations. We really enjoyed both the “big bites” and “small bites”—such a cute and fun concept. I also tried a mocktail called She Spicy, which was fantastic. We stayed for quite a while and truly enjoyed our table. When Ashley’s shift ended, Gaby (again, I hope I got the name right) took over, and she was just as wonderful—so fun, attentive, and always right on time whenever we needed anything. Very impressive service. I genuinely enjoyed this last-minute night out. Thank you to everyone who worked that evening for your hard work and excellent service. I will definitely be back.

Ok I Love this place!! I passed it a couple of times and I was drawn in by the way it was decorated from the outside. Especially with all the Pride regalia!! I went in and was greeted by very sweet hostesses and I at the wonderfully long bar I don’t know what I was expecting, but I was very surprised at how beautiful and spacious this place was I don’t think the bartender liked me very much, or maybe he’s just not the type of friendly I’m used to. I didn’t take offense I enjoyed myself regardless. I had a couple of signature drinks, which were both delicious and beautiful and presentation . I have a stuffed French toast, which was having on a plate. If I were a glutton, I would’ve had two more servings that’s how great it was. You happen to be my birthday that day, so it was nice to enjoy a brunch, which I don’t often get the chance to have in a nice quiet location. My next visit to NYC, we will have to pop back in again for sure

Stumbled upon Dutch Freds early this Friday evening. (May 2025) As per tradition when bestie and I are headed to a broadway show we head to the theater district find parking and pick a random spot for a bite to eat before curtain call. This Friday the parking God’s were on our side but Mother Nature was not. As the rain started to fall we dipped in to Dutch Freds. At 5:30/6pm there were no tables available but we found spots at the bar. Service, food, and decor were all very good. We kept it simple with wings, sliders, fries, & a kale salad to share. In addition to a couple of cocktails. Everything was tasty especially the drinks. However, it was tad pricey given what we ordered, no entrée’s only shareable starters and our tab was up there. Nonetheless you get what you pay for and the food and service was very good. This was a nice find, that hit the spot and saved us from the rain on our way to be theatre geeks. Lol Just A Note: They offer a brunch with unlimited tea cup cocktails.

Dutch Fred’s is a good option for a quick and affordable dinner before a Broadway show. Service is good, decor is nice and food is fine.

Great place to have a cocktails and a bite. It's always decorated to the 9s and the service is always great. Their host Angel was also fantastic and talked to my daughters while we waited for our table. Bartenders know their craft and they are very creative. Their cocktails are always excellent I pop into Dutch Fred's way too much but it never disappoints

When I walked into this bar I thought I made a big mistake..had a bad vibe from the bartender & the place in general did not make me comfortable..I Am happy to report I was wrong. Bartender was on point , drinks were great & the food & service was on point. Def recommend this little slice of heaven. Come by and have a bunch. 🍺🍻🍷🍸🍹🍾P.S food was delicious.

The atmosphere and decor are amazing, we were served by Angel he is lovely very friendly and welcoming. Our drinks were perfect we had zero alcohol cocktails I had a very generous portion of sweet potato fries cooked perfectly and my friend had wings but they weren't very tasty but overall lovely place to go for drinks and a bite to eat.

Finn is a fantastic bartender. Fast and friendly. Great spot for a pre or post show drink and meal. We will certainly return soon.\n\nCozy yet modern ambiance.
