El Pollo Grill Broadway Reviews
Best Mexican food in the World!! I been to alot of places and this is the best place in the world. Get their catering, o my everyone loves it.
Burritos are pretty big, well filled and delicious. They have very original options and I appreciate the pprtions. Service is always great.
this will always be my favorite Place to go for Mexican food. I’ve tried the other locations and they taste great too but the one in lemon Grove is just immaculate for me. It’s always busy here. The food is always so flavorful and fresh. It feels like you have walked into their kitchen and dining room room literally
Someone in my burrito group on FB recommended this place and since I don't live far , I went and checked it out. So glad I did! Food was awesome! Had the 619 Mysterio Burrito...carne asada , pollo asada , shrimp , guac , crema and cheese! Good portions , very tasty , very flavorful. Salsa was good. Will definitely be back soon.
Food was yummy, service was exceptional. It's an old school Steakhouse. Great for events and parties. We had 11 people for my Mom's 90th Birthday. Would definitely go again.
Everything here has wonderful flavors. The only thing I don't like is waiting until ten to get their chicken. They have the best tasting full chickens
Best burrito in San Diego county. We have lived in San Diego for 4ish years and have a different spot for specific items and after trying many spots this has been our go-to burrito spot for about 2 years now. They are HUGE, they are DELICIOUS. I promise you will be glad you stopped in for their baby sized burritos 🌯. Service is alright Atmosphere is alright. I go for the food, and you should too!
I’ve been here a couple of times and really liked their fresh food and friendly staff. Their chicken is great and their burritos are big and delicious. Try the California burrito if you’re really hungry! My new go to for Mexican food even though I live across town. Thanks EPG!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “First stop, the taco shop when your boy is home.” Great American and San Diego Poet Ryan Anthony El Pollo Grill in Lemon Grove, San Diego absolutely delivered on flavor! I ordered the surf and turf burrito and subbed the carne for pollo—pure fire! 🔥 The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired beautifully with the shrimp. Every bite was packed with bold, satisfying flavor, and honestly, it was everything I’ve ever wanted in a burrito. The tortilla was warm and toasty, the fillings were generous, and the balance of surf and turf was perfection. This spot is an absolute gem for burrito lovers. If you’re in the area—go. Immediately. El Pollo Grill is burrito heaven! 🌯🐔🦐💯
If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m all about hot sauce—and let me tell you, El Pollo Grill in Lemon Grove is a go-to spot for serious flavor lovers. We went all out and ordered the Sy Mikey Fries, California burritos, shrimp burritos, chicken quesadillas, and bean & cheese burritos—and every single bite was 🔥. Let’s talk about the Sy Mikey Fries—hands down my favorite. They were absolutely stacked with carne asada, pollo asado, chorizo, shrimp, bacon, jack and cheddar cheese, rice, guacamole, and sour cream. Then I topped it off with the Beatriz Orange Extra Hot Sauce, and let me tell you... it was the bee’s knees. Smoky, bold, and packed with just the right amount of heat to keep you coming back for more. The sauces here are on another level. The green sauce paired perfectly with the bean and cheese burrito—it added a bright, spicy kick that elevated every bite. The red sauce, a little more mild but still super flavorful, was a perfect match for the pollo quesadilla, complementing the juicy grilled chicken without overpowering it. Every dish was loaded with flavor. The carne asada in the California burrito was tender and rich, the bean and cheese burrito might be one of my absolute favorites in East County, and the chicken quesadilla? To. Die. For. Everything was hot, fresh, and made with care—and the staff was friendly and welcoming. If you're anywhere near Lemon Grove and craving something bold, satisfying, and full of flavor, El Pollo Grill is where it’s at.
Was recommended here for the chicken, so I got a 2 piece meal with fries cause I don't like rice. I was never offered a choice between thigh or breast and never mentioned it myself so I ended up with breast. It was far bigger inside then I imagined and busy! But I still got my food in 3 minutes! The breast was a lil dry but not too bad. The tortillas ,can tell they homemade. So good! I wouldn't call the shredded lettuce with sour cream, a salad...but it was great to make a chicken wrap! The fries are amazing! Next time I'm gonna try the Cali burrito! I will be back!
I had the mysterious 619 fries. This thing is awesome tons of shrimp steak and chicken. This is a two person meal for a one person price you can’t beat it. Everything they have is fresh to order and a huge shout out to the owner and her family, who always gives us back to the community of Lemon Grove, I recommend you go there at least once a week if not twice, you will never go away hungry and always be totally satisfied
Got them nachos. hUGe plate of food and couldn't have stopped at half a plate. Should have stopped at 3/4 of a plate. But finished the whole plate. Food came out sooner than verbally told. Place was busy still at 730 on a Saturday. Maybe it was a 10 minute wait. Salsa were pretty good. Some had some heat and if I were a local I'd be coming back to try out their menu some more. Place was clean and parking was easy too. Service was good too. My only complaint really was that my carne asada meat was cold. Not partially warm but like cold. It was well seasoned and I did get a heaping but oddly cold.
The food is really good. Expect to wait for your order for a while. It seems that when order by phone they don’t really prepare it till you pay at the restaurant, so add at least 20 minutes to what they say. Besides my little tantrum, the food is good
The food is so good! The staff is really friendly and the place is really clean. I ordered two pieces of chicken with rice and beans, with corn tortillas. We bought the bottled cucumber drink but it was too sweet, we asked for a courtesy cup for plain water and diluted it. We are don't like very sweet things.
The chicken and the house made pico they make for the chicken is awesome. They make great burritos also. Come try this place out and forget about the chain restaurants junk. The only negative thing is when you $70 worth food and they won’t give you a 4oz cup with a lid for the salsa. The ladies reply was “I need to charge you for that” it’s a .02 cup, you really need to charge me for that? Come on man
We ordered three full chickens with sides and the total was around 110.00 dollars. I thought that was very expensive, considering in Los Angeles you could get the same for a fraction of that price. The chicken and sides were very good, I have no complaints about that. The location is in a small shopping center and the signage is behind a tree, which makes it easy to miss. The locale isn't much to brag about as it resembles a truck stop dinner but gets very busy around lunch time, indicative of the quality of the food. We were on vacation in San Diego and wanted something similar to a Mexican home cooked meal. This place had good reviews on yelp, so we gave it a shot. Overall, I would say good food but the pricing is a head scratcher. I would probably try to find some place a bit more affordable in my opinion.
