Karaoke City Broadway Reviews
I had a great experience here and they are very inviting to everyone and the prices are amazing
I love this place, the microphone quality was so good and the employees are beyond kind. They also have really good customer service. I like the atmosphere too it makes me feel comfortable while singing, they also have instrument so the vibe feels much better
Came in on a Friday night ~11pm with a group of 9, some under 21, no reservation. Didn’t think we’d find a place but they let us sing. Atmosphere was great, queueing system easy to work and song selection is not bad. Had a great time!
Great place to have fun. Owner is such a nice person m. HIGHLY RECOMMEND COMING HERE
Second time here! The rooms are very spacious and clean. Beka was a great host! Very attentive and kind.
Very welcoming atmosphere! Decor is very pretty and the staff of very nice. Highly reccomend. Loved Adriana!
I’ve been to karaoke city a few times and it’s by far my favorite karaoke bar in Manhattan 10/10! The overall service was great, from the check-in hosts being super accommodating to the bartenders’ speed and attention. The drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was lively and well-decorated! I’d highly recommend KCity if you’re looking for a fun night out with friends!
Be sure to reach out to them via their website to make reservations. They'll text and be great to accomodate. Nice place, great selection!
Adriana and Nomun were amazing! Will absolutely be coming back! Can’t thank them enough for the hospitality!
Great vibe and amazing service. Hyo and was super friendly and welcoming, helped us with drinks and made the night really enjoyable. Definitely coming back!
The atmosphere is great. It’s the only place I go karaoke in Ktown. All the staff is super friendly. But make sure you reserve your room ahead of time of the weekends!
Min was a a great server and made our experience amazing! Definitely come through for his service!
Adriana service was spectacular, top tier and very welcoming. Overall my experience at the Karaoke City has been amazing and will 1000% come back.
I went on Wednesday night feeling really down after breaking up with my boyfriend, but two Asian guys there completely turned my night around. They truly made my day. I’d gladly give this place 10 stars. Thank you, Karaoke City!
Love this place! The vibe was cozy, the mics and speakers were crystal clear, and the playlist options were endless. We had such a fun time singing and laughing without any hiccups. The staff checked in just enough without being intrusive. Definitely one of the best karaoke spots I’ve been to!
Amazing experience here! The rooms were clean, the sound system was surprisingly high quality, and the song selection had everything we wanted. The staff was super friendly and made the whole night easy and fun. Perfect spot for a casual hangout or a full-on party—can’t wait to go again!
Had a great time in our room at Karaoke City. We had a pretty large group and Joon was diligent about charging us based on how many folks were there for how long, which I thought was really nice. Staff were really attentive and quick to respond to calls from us, and went over the equipment a few times to make sure everyone who arrived at different times knew how to work things. I appreciated their kindness. After our time in our room was over, we went to the general bar. Service there was pretty speedy and it was spacious. Sadly, the space was quickly taken over by xenophobic frat boys, so we left. Not blaming staff at all for that--it was clearly not a good experience for them either--just naming a possibility that visitors might want to prepare for.
Good K-town karaoke den. There's a main bar to meet up at and hang at afterwards, but the main attraction is individual karaoke rooms that you rent by the hour. Their system takes a little to get used to but works fine. No ability to adjust their sound - only volume up and down. They have bar food that's average - that's not what you come for. There's a buzzer you hit and a waiter will come take drink or food orders. Service is quick - strangely no napkins or paper towels. Also no bathroom toilet paper - maybe their delivery was late. Also strange that there are no coat hooks so on a cold, wet night all of coats seemed to be in the way in the tight, private room for 6 where we had 5.
Dancing place late night hanging out! If you want to just get drunk or you are already drunk and want to dance, I recommend this place. Only seat at the bar and most ppl just grab the drink and hopping around. I saw someone had a nice birthday party at this place. Even it is a small bar but if you just want to drink and dance this place is cool to hang out with.
1. We had a reservation for 10 but didn't get into our rooms until 10:30. They had clearly overbooked the place and were scrambling to figure out what to do. There were at least 30 people waiting to get into their rooms when we got here. There's no reservation system in place, it's just a random piece of paper. 2. They force you to download an app to queue songs. This sounds like a good idea in theory until you realize that their app is glitchy and doesn't work half the time. The staff also had to do a full system restart to make things work, so we couldn't even start singing until 10:45 3. They came in at 11:30 and asked us to leave. We were shocked -- we told them we had booked for 2h but he said this was not on record. Why would six of us go to this spot only to sing for an hour? 4. Despite the technical issues that required a full system restart, they never added any time as compensation. So we could only sing about 10 songs for 45 minutes. 5. The mics were horrible -- I mean I had to shout into the mic to be able to hear myself, and this was in a small room meant for 6-8 people. 6. There are NO STAIRS in this place! Expect to wait at least 15 minutes for the elevator on weekends. Most reviews here are fake -- they had some free drink incentive going on for a while that helped inflate their rating. This has easily been the worst karaoke experience of my life. There are plenty of better spots in KTown and in NYC. Don't waste your time and money here.
We made a reservation with a call. And when we arrived at 1:30AM, the staff told us that they didn’t have it but it was written on their book, they insisted that we didn’t call and we didn’t had any proof of our reservation. They finally take us after we argue, but with a little condescension. They gave us 1 hour instead of 1:30 hour planned, they gave us a real quick explanation on how to use the application which is necessary to start the karaoke. When the hour ended they opened the door and told us it was finished, they didn’t even let us finish our song, and they turned off the TV at distance. Also they charge us with 18% of tip, we couldn’t even choose the percentage. The quality of the karaoke itself is poor, sometime there is almost no music in the back when singing. Overall, the experience was bad, we had fun because we came together and the price was reasonable compared to others.
Our host had an attitude and felt annoyed when I pointed out the seats were dirty when I entered the room, then our host was switched and he barged in the room telling my party we can't smoke in the room when we weren't smoking in the room. This location isn't meant for a certain demographic and that was evident.
The person at the front desk was very rude and impatient towards us. When my group of 5 was deciding on booking a room, he’d give us unapproving looks and when I apologized on behalf of our indecisiveness, he rolled his eyes and ignored me until we made a decision. Afterwards, after our session, he tipped himself 18% without our approval. Also small song collection, no Asian songs. I’m one to give people benefits of the doubt but even after our session, we were still treated poorly so I felt that service was just reflective of the business they have.
I visited this place about a week ago. My mom wanted to do Karaoke for her birthday so she decided to contact Karaoke City. The representative she originally spoke with was an older guy who was very nice and he spoke with he over the phone as well as through text message to provide her with the details. She scheduled for 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm. The day of the event some younger guy from Karaoke City contacted my mom and said our reservation was for 1:30 pm. My mom explained to him the reservation wasn’t until 6:30 pm and informed him of the text message confirming the reservation. My mom then contacted the establishment about 10 minutes later to clarify the mix up and he confirmed our reservation was for 6:30 pm. Upon arrival into the building, we were stopped by men downstairs. Once we informed them, we were there for karaoke, they informed us to take the elevator to the 7th floor. When we came out the elevator there was a representative at the desk however we weren’t greeted he kept his head down. We just happen to see people from our party and headed over to the room. It was 11 of us, upon entering the room the room was clean however I thought the room was very small. I’ve been to several other karaoke locations with less people and the rooms were very spacious. A huge negative was the song selection books. There is no way those books are sanitized regularly. The pages were very sticky and weary where you couldn’t read the numbers or songs. The songs were also really outdated. We bought sanitizing wipes as we wanted to make sure the equipment was properly sanitized. The microphones were also really low however they provided covers for the microphone. The only positive thing to this place is you can bring your own food and snacks. I had to ask for a garbage bag to put our trash in as there was no garbage can in the room. If you purchase any food or drinks from Karaoke City it will be added to the tab of the room. Others in my party says their drinks were watery. Please note you are not able to order separately, there will be one bill at the end. Make sure you pay attention to the bill at the end as they tried to hike up the price. Around 8:10 pm I came out to settle the bill with Nico he provided an estimated bill up until that time. He then informed me everyone needed to be out of the room before the bill can be paid. We informed him we were beginning to clean up and would be out of the room before 8:30 pm. Everyone was out of the room by 8:27 pm and Nico even checked to make sure no one was in the room. By 8:33 pm I went back to the front desk to settle the bill the new amount was raised by about $70. I questioned Nico and asked how did the price jump so high. He then said because we left the room after 8:30 pm, I told him No don’t try that. We had been taking pictures for the last 5 minutes and he checked the room to make sure we were out. His demeanor changed immediately he had an attitude and said fine and decreased the bill. I was very upset as I felt like they were trying to take advantage of us. This place will overcharge you. I will NOT be returning to the establishment.
