Motorino Broadway Reviews
We had such a wonderful experience at Pizzeria Motorino! The people here are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food and drinks are absolutely delicious. They went above and beyond by giving my 2-year-old son some pizza dough so he could try making his own pizza. He was over the moon — playing with the dough, shaping it, and still talking about how he “made pizza all by himself.” It was such a beautiful and heartwarming moment for us as a family. Thank you, Motorino, for turning a simple dinner into a special memory we’ll cherish!
Food is so delicious- love love love the vegan sausage pizza. Lunch special is a great deal- you get a personal pizza and salad for $19.50. Highly recommend pairing the pizza with some wine and have a relaxing time .
Oh my goodness that Pugliese Pizza with the white sauce, sausage, and broccoli rabe was phenomenal 🤌🤌🤌 I usually go for a red sauce, but something about that Neapolitan style of buttery creamy cheesy garlicky tastiness and savory sausage just hits right! 🤤 10/10 Good vibes Would come again
Jose is an absolute master of the craft! Pizza Chef Jose transforms simple ingredients into pizza perfection. The dough was light and airy with the perfect crisp, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are balanced with precision. Every bite shows their passion for authentic flavors and attention to detail. Whether it's a classic Margherita or a creative specialty pizza, Chef Jose consistently delivers an unforgettable experience. A true artisan in the world of pizza! The tirimisu and coffee heavenly divine. A must-have.
Had a whirlwind songwriting trip to Brooklyn & NYC yesterday. I sought out pizza/Italian last night in Brooklyn & found just what I was looking for with Motorino Brooklyn. So damn good. After the meatball appetizer & fresh baked bread, I had to take most of the Don Dom pizza to go. Well down guys/gals. 👏
So I originally had a takeout here a couple of years ago & it was solid but not great. Last night I ate in instead and it really improved everything (I think the moisture generated in the box makes the dough more spongey). Anyway the pizza is fantastic, really tasty, authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, quickly oven cooked, great dough and such tasty ingredients. It's not cheap but then again nor is any full pizza in NYC They also do a lovely slightly sparkling red wine worth trying
The perfect place for an intimate get together with a date or a small group. The food was delicious and incredibly fresh, service was stellar and the chilled pizza wine was worth every drop. HIGHLY recommended. Pictured is the extra spicy sopressata pie, meatball and kale salad antipasti. 👍👍👍
Literally one of the best pizza I have ever had in the country. Real Italian style pizza place with brick oven. They just have one size of pizza so anybody can get his own pizza. I love it! They have a good choice of red and white pizza as well as good appetizers. Wine list is very good but they just have a couple of beers on tap (no big deal). Service is great and the atmosphere is really good. They bring you salami for free! The place is small but I didn't have to wait to get a table on a Friday night. Only drawback is that I think it is a little bit overpriced. Any pizza is in the $20 range, but as I sai it's literally one of the best ones. You should try!
Located close to the East river waterfront, this place is around 5-7 mins walk from the Marcy Ave MTA station. The restaurant has an old ambiance which I believe should be improved upon apart from the fact that they seemed understaffed to me, luckily there wasn't much of a crowd for dinner. These people make Neapolitan style brick oven pizza, the server was pretty friendly enough with his recommendation and we went for Dom Dom pizza with mushrooms as topping. The pizza was basically tomato sauce, fresh buffalo mozzarella cheese, basil leaves and olive oil sprinkled on top from what I can recollect. The pizza base and crust were soft while the tomato sauce felt a bit on the tangy side. The mushrooms were a good choice for topping while adding more to the taste! For dessert, we had tiramisu. The dessert was tasty but would have been even better had they served it really fresh! Overall a good option in the area which boasts a lot of pizzerias, but definitely needs some work on ambiance to up their game in the competitive times!
Motorino is one of the only spots in proximity that offers Mozzarella di Bufala, and after so many weeks of vegan cheeses, it was that type of lactose friendly pizza friday that we were after. We ordered an on-menu pie that featured di Bufala, had them hold back on the other cheeses, and added the meatball appetizer and artichokes to round out the meal. Still on the summer spritz menu, we drank Elderflower cocktails before the food arrived. Meatballs with bread were fantastic, lots of sauce to be mopped up. So were the oven roasted artichokes: lemon and evoo drenched and cooked long enough that it was easy to scrape the artichoke from the leaves. Ultimately it was the pizza that gave any sense of a letdown at this meal. A bit too wet, a bit too floppy, something has to change in the ratio of dough and sauce to get this pie to the next level. Fork and knife required, lots of moisture - not grease - left on the plate after it was all gone. Perhaps just back in the oven a bit longer next time? I think we'll ask for well done when we return.
The food was good; I enjoyed that they had vegan options. Good music choice, but the wait was long and it seems that the place is understaffed. There was only one host/waiter/bartender that seemed burned out and was not attentive. Also, there is a rat problem in the outdoor area. Had to move inside to avoid them.
Honestly? I expected way more from this place. The pizza was just… average. Nothing special about it—bland crust, forgettable toppings, zero character. Not terrible, but definitely not worth coming back for.
