My recent visit to this cozy spot nestled in the heart of the city was delightful. The ambiance was warm and inviting. The service, especially from the two Hispanic waiters, was exceptional. We ordered the Grill Platter and some hummus, which were more than enough for both my wife and me, though we typically don't eat that much. The hummus was phenomenal, and we ended our meal with some delightful Turkish tea. It's also worth noting that the place is Zabiha Halal, according to the menu. Highly recommended!

Just came here with a bunch of friends and we honestly have zero complaints. The food was SO good. We ordered a bunch of stuff to share, lamb adana (seriously the best, so juicy and flavorful), a bunch of different mezes/antipasti, fresh bread and a few other things and it was all incredibly authentic and fresh. You can tell they actually care about what they’re serving. And the portions were incredibly generous which I love when I’m out with a group of people. The service was also amazing. Everyone was so friendly and attentive without annoyingly hovering around us or rushing us when we weren’t ready. It was super welcoming and relaxed which was awesome. And then there’s dessert, the künefe is literally the best thing ever and the baklava is the perfect amount of sweet with just the right crunch. Honestly one of those spots where you leave feeling incredibly full and satisfied and already planning your next return. 10/10!!

Turkuaz was actually so good. I got the chicken shish and it was perfectly seasoned and super tender. We also tried the manti and lentil soup and both were amazing, the manti was so flavorful with the yogurt sauce and the soup tasted fresh and comforting. Everything felt homemade and authentic. Service was really friendly and attentive too. Definitely a spot I’d go back to.

I’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and have been frequenting Turkuaz since it opened. After growing up on Turkish food, having a reliable go-to place for delicious, homemade food is simply divine. The entire menu is delicious, the owners and wait staff are attentive, I can’t speak any higher of this midtown restaurant - if you’re in the neighborhood, go.

I absolutely loved this restaurant. The food was amazing, every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant itself is very stylish and elegant, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What truly made our visit special was being personally welcomed by the owner. Her hospitality and genuine kindness made us feel truly valued. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a memorable dining experience. Thank you so much. Sending our love from Switzerland. 🇨🇭

New York, this Turkish restaurant truly felt like a safe spot. The food was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care, a huge relief after everything else we tried. The atmosphere was welcoming and the service was great, which made the experience even better. We left satisfied and happy and would definitely return and recommend this place to anyone looking for good, reliable food in the city.

I stopped in for a solo dinner on a Monday, and found the atmosphere to be a charming and warm haven from the blustery night outside. The Turkish lamps give lush color and a romantic feel to the space. My waiter was friendly, and my dishes—baba ghanouj and shrimp kebab with rice—were fresh and delicious. The baba had a great texture with chunks of the roasted eggplant in it. And I appreciated that they were willing to accommodate my gluten-free needs by offering cucumber slices instead of pita. I will definitely return!

Really enjoyed this place. The beer selection was great — cold, fresh, and surprisingly solid for a Mediterranean spot. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, which made it a nice break from the usual loud bar or busy restaurant scene. The food was flavorful, portions were generous, and the staff was friendly. Great spot to unwind with good food and a beer.

Delicious meal. I came in for business meeting on Long Island...found a good hotel deal so stayed nearby. I search 1 word, "knafeh". I found Turkuaz. Was welcomed with a smile. I ordered black olives and lamb chops. Very, very good. At the end of the meal...I ordered the knafah and oh my...the wait was worth it. Actually, one of the waiters had a great sense of humor. Maybe he knew how much I was looking forward to eating it. He came up with a frozen pan with saran wrap on it and placed it in the table. I looked at him confused. He broke out in a big smile...Just kidding...he brought out the real deal. Look at the picture...you can see how delicious it looks...tasted even better.

We decided to have lunch here before seeing Lion King on Broadway and we were so happy! The place is adorable, the style so cute and the staff incredibly kind! Now let’s get to the important stuff. The food. I ordered the lamb shesh kabob, medium well, and it was cooked PERFECTLY! Like you aren’t chewing for years to get through the meat. It’s perfectly tender, and flavorful. My friend got the chicken shesh kabob and said it’s one of the best she’s ever had. The rice was buttery goodness. And fries had the perfect crispness. The Turkish bread was warm out the oven and mouthwatering. We didn’t get a chance to have dessert but will definitely be back next time we come to the city! Sadly we forgot to take our picture before we started eating.

Everything about this place was great. Food is amazing. As close as you can get to real Turkish food. Cold mezes are incredible, we also had Adana kebab. Charcoal taste just like in Turkey. Highly recommend it: servers are extremely kind and accommodating as well. Definitely worth giving them a try!

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant, thanks to the excellent service from the staff. We ordered the Sultan's Plate, which was perfect for two people. The highlight of our evening was their thoughtful gesture of decorating the kunefe to celebrate my wife's birthday. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience!

I had a great experience in this restaurant. Very friendly waiters and polite service. Most waiters also speak Turkish and were very welcoming. The food was fresh and authentic. However, I’ve a suggestion; maybe mayonnaise should be available. They only told us that they solely use ketchup. And maybe make the Baklava a bit sweeter. One of my favorite parts of this place was it’s atmosphere. The place was very cozy, with low yellow lights that would induce the feeling of warmth. Overall, it’s a great restaurant in New York City.

Nice and cozy family owned restaurant! Lamb was a bit too hard, I've had better marinated lamb. Lentil soup was on point and flavorfull, babaganoush was smoked well andndelicious. Complimentary tea for the wait.

After a long walk from Empire State came here for supper. Loved the ambiance and overall atmosphere of the place. Our order was the OG lentil soup and the mix grill platter for $47 which was more than enough food for 2 people, very generous serving. Very well seasoned and perfectly cooked Kebabs which are served with rice, salad and complimentary bread. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back again to try more dishes!

Came here for dinner after a show and loved the ambiance and food. We ordered the mix grill platter for $47 and it was more than enough food for 2 of us. Kebabs were perfectly cooked and seasoned well and came with rice and salad. Complimentary bread was served as well. Service was very friendly and attentive. Will be back again to try more dishes!

Food and service was great along with a cozy atmosphere. Only complaint was the service was a bit slow.

This neighborhood has a charming spot that offers a delightful dining experience. The food is tasty, and the service is quite welcoming. The Shephard Salad was peculiar since it didn’t come with feta cheese. However, you can add it on the side for an extra $6, which seems a bit steep for a small amount of crumbled feta. We also enjoyed chicken kebab served with rice, salad (we opted for extra rice instead of salad), and stuffed cabbage entree. Both were delicious. For dessert, we indulged in rice pudding, which was sweet but enjoyable, accompanied by Turkish coffee and tea. All in all, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. **Just a heads-up: While tipping isn’t required, it has to be in cash if you choose to do so.**

Great atmosphere, neat decorations, service is good. The vegetarian stew is great. The salad is a bit salty. The lamb kebab is not bad not too much flavors. The price is higher but tip is not needed.

Turkuaz, A Disappointing Turkish Experience Unfortunately, this Turkish restaurant, Turkuaz, was a disappointment overall. The food was generally "just okay." The main letdown was the kebabs, which were not delectable at all, though I did find the chicken kebabs passable. The rice was also just average. Beyond the flavor, the presentation of the plates wasn't good, and the hummus was very regular (nothing special). Over priced as well.

A genuine treasure for anyone seeking not just delicious food, but an atmosphere that transports diners straight to Turkey. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a beautifully decorated interior with dim, ambient lighting that making the whole space feel warm. The dishes here are bursting with authentic flavor and freshness. The falafel, paired with creamy, smooth hummus, is satisfyingly crisp, though it’s worth noting the portion comes with just three pieces, leaving a wish for a little more on the plate. Chicken Adana kebabs steal the spotlight.

Place itself and atmosphere is very nice. But the service is horrible. The restaurant at 1230pm was basically empty. Only 4 other people including us there. Waiter never came to check on us. Our drink ran out. Never once showed up. My son had to go and tell them to bring water and the check. And the food was fine but no condiments were given with the food.

Workers were so nice, would come back just to hang with them. However, I felt the prices were a little too high for what you got. 3 mini falafels and hummus was $16. You do get bread, which is nice. They accommodate large groups well and have clearly marked gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options
