Asea Sushi Brooklyn Reviews
Excellent place, very good food and very good service. They serve quickly, the food doesn't take long to arrive, and it's delicious. Highly recommended.
Food was amazing and presented beautifully with the best miso soup i’ve ever tasted. The staff was welcoming and kind. This spot will become a staple at 8th ave for me.
excellent food at an underrated spot. soup was hearty and delicious, and the food came out quick. beautiful presentation and exceptional staff.
the food is fresh and the kids like the roll. All the foods were delicious 😋. :)
Great food, large portions, excellent service with food that is tasty and fresh repeated diner
I don’t eat raw fish very often, but this time I decided to try it—and it was truly a different experience. The sashimi was incredibly fresh and richly flavored. Not only was it delicious, but it was also beautifully presented and felt very ceremonial. In addition to raw fish, the menu also includes Chinese and Thai dishes, all coming together as Asian fusion cuisine. The service was excellent. The server patiently introduced the ingredients and explained the best way to enjoy each dish. When my mochi ice cream melted before I had a chance to eat it, they immediately replaced it with a new plate—such thoughtful service. 🍣 Asea Sashimi Tapas The design of the nine-circle platter is a huge plus. It’s especially fun to taste each piece one by one. There’s a great variety, allowing you to experience many different flavors. The trays are beautifully designed—I particularly loved the small dessert cups and colorful lighting. Some ingredients are even decorated with gold foil and tiny flowers. Out of the nine courses, seven are sashimi and two are cooked dishes. 🍛 Malay Massaman Curry Chicken This dish was absolutely amazing. The flavor was very authentic—rich, spicy, thick, and layered, yet not heavy at all. I couldn’t stop myself from taking spoon after spoon and ended up eating two big bowls of rice 🍚🍚. It’s the kind of curry you’ll remember long after the meal. Throughout the entire experience, I kept marveling at how good it was. 🦆 Five Spice Duck Prepared by a Cantonese chef, this dish was tender and aromatic. The seasoning was restrained yet precise, showcasing the confidence and skill of an experienced master. 🥞 Japanese Pizza Don’t skip this one. It’s savory, fresh, and full of umami—soft on the outside and tender on the inside. The more you eat, the more fragrant it becomes. It also includes eel, which adds extra depth to the flavor. 🍮 Crème Brûlée The caramelized top cracks perfectly with a tap, while the custard underneath is silky smooth. The contrast in textures is incredibly satisfying. 🍡 Mochi Ice Cream There are four flavors to choose from: vanilla, mango, strawberry, and matcha. You can never go wrong with that chewy texture. This place has quietly earned a permanent spot on my “will return” list. ✨
One of my favorite restaurants, especially since it’s right around the corner of my home. I’ve been coming here for four years. The service is great, the people are great, and the food is delicious. It’s also well priced too. The atmosphere is always familiar and friendly. Great place to bring a friend or a ground of people.
This restaurant is a really really good find. We order the food extremely quickly using a tablet and within seconds of having ordered the food a waiter arrived to confirm the order. I’ve never been so impressed. They also serve you complimentary tea and keep filling up your cup. Furthermore the portions were delicious and generous.
I went to Asea Restaurant and had a great time. The place was clean and quiet, and the workers were kind. I ordered the Devil Sushi Roll, and it was very tasty and a little spicy. The sushi was fresh and looked nice on the plate. The food came fast, and I didn’t have to wait long. I will go back again because I really liked it.
⭐️🍱🍣 I visit this place quite often, and it has become one of my favorite sushi spots in Sunset Park. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality you receive. The food is always fresh, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable sushi experience in the area.
The restaurant has a modern design with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The seating arrangement was comfortable The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. They also had a great selection of drinks. The pricing was reasonable worth it for the quality of the sushi. I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant for anyone looking for authentic gourmet and fresh sushi in the area. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or new to it, this place has something to offer for everyone.
Came here with family and friends for a get-together and we had a wonderful experience. Love love love this place! Service was amazing, the staff is very attentive throughout the dinner. The sushi is fresh and everything tasted amazing. Lots of vegetarian options well and I think they have a good variety to choose from. Highly recommend as one of the best sushi spots in Brooklyn, specifically near Sunset Park.
Generic Asian Fusion. You have your sushi, you have your Thai, you have some Chinese. Their rolls that use cooked salmon are dry, as is their teriyaki chicken. Their noodle dishes are good such as their rice noodle and stir fries. The appetizers are a bit pricey but they do taste good. Their drinks are good too like the ribena lemonade.
I LOVED the food here, I ordered the hot lady roll, the salmon literally melted when I sent it in my mouth, the desert I ordered was the crispy cheese cake also absolutely amazing. Food was very appetizing and appealing looking. The only unsatisfying part was the wait time, at first my order came out very quickly in about 5-10 minutes, BUT when I wanted to order more it took almost 40 minutes for me to get my order, and they even got one of my sushi mixed up! But other than that it was great, would come again.
Use to love this place as they have been in sunset park for years, but the last two times I dined in I had a terrible experience both times with the same waitress. First time we went as a party of 6, the waitress kept pushing the iPad on us to order after we explained it wasn’t working well. Someone else took our orders and once the food was coming out she came back to help us. Okay, maybe she was a little busy? Fast forward to my most recent interaction, party of 2 dining in and there are maybe 8 people or less in the restaurant dining in. Same waitress, same technical difficulty with the iPad, turns out the WiFi was down but this is my second experience with this…Another waitress came by and took our order, she also checked in on us to see if anything was needed as we couldn’t order from their favorite technology tool. Our waitress came back with cups for our sake, one of them was dirty. When asked to have a clean one, she seems annoyed and brings back a black cup opposed to the white that was initially brought out. Strange but whatever. We proceed to eat, finish our drink, discuss what we’ll have for dessert when what do you know, she brings out the bill! I said “well we were considering dessert, but I guess not” she completely ignores me and just stands there waiting. I look over to the person I’m dining with and say “I guess we aren’t getting dessert”. Only then did the waitress ask if I want dessert. This entire interaction was rude but then it got worst. I paid with my card and put down $0 for tip as I prefer to tip cash, that’s when she stood there to ask me “no tip? Are you giving me cash?” Seriously?! I work with the public and I deal with a lot but never have I ever encountered this interaction on my end or as a customer like this one. I left a cash tip and got ready to leave but I had to speak to someone. When I asked to speak to management and I began explaining this being the second time this waitress was rude, dismissive, and demanding, the management physically touched me to push me out towards the door. Like I told her, I will never be coming back and I will be sharing my experience with any and everyone because this wasn’t right at all.
