Frequently asked questions about Bombay Kitchen
Bombay Kitchen Brooklyn Reviews
Okay the food here was SO tasty!! They have a lot of vegetarian options too. I love the little notes in their menu like “too hard to explain, but delicious” and things like that. Ready to eat it again lol
I asked for spice and they delivered, with fantastic taste. The lamb vindaloo is a revelation. With love, from the white dude who asked for very spicy
Our go-to Indian place! We live in the area so we get delivery fairly often. The food comes VERY quickly so it's always very hot and fresh. Soft, pillowy naan, flavorful sauces, and additions/alterations are possible if you ask. Amazing food always! Thank you Bombay Kitchen!
Ordering here for years and it’s my favorite. Consistently delicious and made to order. I order pickup and it’s always ready in 10 min or less. They’re super nice and the menu has so many options, all super good.
Solid delivery option. My husband and I will put in an order from Bombay Kitchen after a long workday and it always hits the spot. We're extra grateful that it arrives quickly--and still hot. We usually go with paneer tikka masala, lamb saag, veg samosa, and naan.
So I always order from this place on Uber eats and I always get the saag paneer, a mango lassie, the chicken pakora and the banana pakora. I love how the saag is a little spicy and you don't expect it. The mango lassie is the best consistency a d the pakoras are a slam dunk. I'm sure the people who work there know me as a regular by now by how often I order. I really recommend this place for a night in!
HANDS DOWN, BEST INDIAN IN NEW YORK!!! I’ve ordered from here every Friday for the last 3 years! Their tika masala pops off, so does the naan bread & samosas And I LOVE their delivery drivers- especially the guy who says hello mam in a really nice voice! Love love love this place!
Just ordered online. 1. Super fast polite delivery 2. Got the food in house and you could Smell the delicious. 3. Finally got to eating and it waa a smashing success. Loved it ordered alot of food and wasnt disappointed. Saag paneer was some of if not the best saag ive ever eaten. Mind you ive traveled thru jackson heights and have tried great saag. Not sure what the green side sauce is but id drink it by the gallon. There wasnt a medicore part of the meal. 10/10 will det order again!
I love their vegan options The aloo sag is so bomb I always order delivery and today I ate in the restaurant, nicest guys ever. They gave us the sauces in a little tower thingy it was cute. The roti was so fresh. Love them.
I have been ordering from this location for a while now. The food is always hot, ontime, amazing and always early. Super fast delivery times and very respectable delivery guys! 5 stars all in
ordered delivery via uber - so the review is only about the dishes allo paratha and potato samosas (2/portion) i believe they put there the same filling. both dishes were enjoyable, a little spicy. paneer tikka and paneer bhurji - the first one has 4 triangle pieces. it was a little bit dry, goes well with sauces they provide. however, i was very confused why one of them is neon green. i don't think that's how it's supposed to look like. but you can just skip it paneer bhurji - paneer itself is amazing in it. pretty generous portion of good rice. 1 dish is enough for 2 meals in my opinion overall, pretty good!
So you are hungry and looking for something tremendous, get yourself a real taste of Bombay here, I've been going to this spot and ordering from them for years now. It's a great non expensive and expansive variety of Indian cuisine. I prefer the lamb vindaloo with garlic naan, it's a knockout

Tried several dishes here. All of them were really good. Never a long wait with delivery.
Honestly SO good. Wanted to try something different so we picked this spot. Got the butter chicken with the basmati rice and the garlic nan bread. Amazingggg. So fresh & flavorful
I ordered the Taki Masala and Lamb curry, absolutely delicious! The Naan was good, along with the appetizers. A must try if you're a Foodie. The delivery was super quick and the food was hot. I would definitely order again.
The food at Bombay Kitchen was flavorful and definitely the highlight of the visit — everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious. The service was solid, with staff being polite and attentive, although it could’ve been a bit more prompt. The atmosphere, however, left a lot to be desired. The space felt a bit cramped and lacked the warmth or ambiance you’d expect for dining in. If you’re ordering takeout or just focused on a good meal, this place is worth checking out. For a dine-in experience, it might not hit the mark.
Delicious daal. Unbelievable okra… fabulous lamb Rogan. Tastes like home food. I cannot wait to enjoy this food again……………

All of y’all are bugging. Bombay makes grew teals, always hot and quick . If you order from them directly it’s reasonably priced too. I get the chicken curry and it comes with basmati rice and I order a plain nan. It’s fireeeeeeeee
Fantastic real flavors! Could taste the cinnamon in the RIPP porky. Love the orange chicken! Amazing vegan spot and fairly inexpensive, they also deliver
I ordered Salmon Fish Blryanl $15.99 , Salmon fish cooked with biryani masala and rice together. This place has their own style making food . My food was good , no complaints, Good costumer service.

forgot my garlic naan and refused to bring some. my partner got his meal and we got the refund, which was fine, but really disappointing that they wouldn't correct their mistake instead of copping out.
Food was good service was RUDE. The host with the air pods was terrible to me and my partner while we had dinner. Host yelled at us and even told us it was his policy to charge us two entrees if we were eating in his restaurant and said this before we ordered which felt classist. When my partner was ordering her food he looked at me and asked “What is she saying?” She’s speaks eloquently Connecticut English meanwhile he was the one with the strong accent but we still were able to communicate with him besides his rudeness. I felt he thought it was such a great time to project his insecurities. The host also yelled at my partner for taking water glasses off of the table next to us for water because she filled the glasses on our table with wine since it’s BYOB and they were busy in the back prepping food. Just to put things in perspective the restaurant was empty of patrons and filled with delivery drivers. All in all I wish we left before we ordered our food to deter the horrendous service. Not worth paying to be mistreated when life is hard enough. Never ordering or visiting EVER! On my NEVER AGAIN LIST! Terrible SERVICE!!! I wish I could get a refund because it messed up my partner’s evening the most because I was taking her out for dinner as a treat and that’s what we get? TERRIBLE SERVICE? We did not deserve this treatment and the host did not deserve our kindness and neither our generous tip.
The saag paneer and the vegetable biryani tasted like American creamed spinach and there was no flavor that Indian cuisine usually has. I was sort of surprised because it looked like Indian food but in reality it tastes like something a white woman made in her kitchen with ingredients from Whole Foods. Sorry to say this, but I had to force myself to finish it only because I spent close to 40 dollars on this food.
The garlic naan exhibited a lack of freshness and a notable absence of the distinctive garlic flavor. It ranks among the most unsatisfactory naan I have encountered to date. The vegetable samosa, while not without merit, merited only a modest 6/10 rating. It left me with reservations, and I am disinclined to reorder it, given its diminutive size in comparison to offerings from other establishments. The filling lacked proper seasoning, and the dough bore a resemblance more to a rice ball than an authentic samosa pastry. In contrast, the samosa chaat emerged as the highlight of the menu, boasting an exceptionally flavorful composition from the chickpeas to the tamarind and chutney. It earned a resounding 5/5 rating for its impeccable preparation. Conversely, the alo tikki proved to be a rather unpalatable offering, characterized by excessive dryness and an overpowering curry spice, which ultimately left it bereft of flavor. Moving on to the mixed biryani, it presented a surprising but ultimately underwhelming experience. The lamb was passable, though the chicken exhibited an undesirable chewiness. Notably, the absence of beef was conspicuous, and the limited provision of yogurt sauce further detracted from its overall appeal. Finally, the mango lassi, my much-anticipated selection, regrettably fell short of expectations. In stark contrast to the rest of the meal, the lassi possessed an uncharacteristic liquidity, lacking the customary thickness associated with this beverage. Furthermore, its orange hue deviated from the norm. This overall dining experience left me disheartened, particularly as a devoted enthusiast of Indian cuisine. The restaurant's performance failed to align with my expectations and standards in this culinary realm, and I earnestly hope to avoid such disappointments in the future.
I'm trying so hard to find good Indian restaurants in the area and I'm truly struggling. Everywhere I order from, either the food is entirely too sweet or the flavors are just way off. Here it was a bit of both. The Saag in the Saag Paneer tastes like creamed spinach. The paneer is not great either. Butter Chicken literally tastes like tomato bisque... flavors were way off. Keema paratha was okay but very fluffy, almost pancake consistency. Not a big fan of the garlic naan either. And the mint chutney on the side is NEON green. I've never seen dyed chutney before but it was truly alarming lol. For a second I thought it was a lumpy jello shot. My search for decent Indian food in Bushwick continues...
If I have to use an app I will not get take out from your restaurant. They stopped taking phone orders and tell you to order online by texting your phone without you giving your number. There IS a delivery fee. They just force feed you to sauce which is an app that takes your info. If you can’t serve your community directly just say that.

Tried placing an order on Door dash before 4:00 pm but the app would not work and stated the store is closed. We called and the store was open but they would not honor what we tried to order due to the app not working. Dont mind eating here but you would think they would work with their local customers trying to support their business.
I really enjoyed ordering their food for a while. Then the pre-tipped delivery guy argued with me for about five minutes and refused to come into my building and actually DELIVER my order. Now -- and especially after reading the reviews here just before writing my own -- I probably won't ever order from here again.

I never went to Internet to post a reviews until today. THIS IS SO FAR THE WORST ORDER OF MY LIFE, SO DISGUSTING. chicken so smelly and precooked, not fresh at all. the order came too fast, i was wondering how come they cook so fast. but it ends up being cold and not fresh. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
I ordered delivery from them but never recieved it and waited an hour and a half before calling. They claimed that they called my phone and dropped it off but I had no history of it on my phone at all. When I wanted to ask for options available, they wouldn't give me any options and wouldn't sympathize, and when I asked for a refund they shot it down. In addition, throughout the entire call they were rude. They even lied and claimed that they couldn't refund me because they weren't the manager and when I asked for the manager's contact information they stated that they were actually the manager and they don't do refunds or redelivery. All in all, their customer service is horrendous and they are all liars throughout, and I will not be ordering from them in the future!
I really wish I looked at the reviews before I came here. The service was so bad. The food was probably the worst Indian food I’ve ever had; the entire order was undercooked. Plus the food was expensive. I feel like I have been scammed. Please save your money.
I went with my family for dine in, they told me no dine in even there was table set up, asked for stuff that was in the menu they don’t have it, staff was at the register was very rude, unprofessional & look like he didn’t want to work. When I told him I will report he said go report no problem. Customer service horrible
You know this place once started with a good 4.8 stars for a long time. Through the years they have got a bad reputation. I never understood why because after over 8 or 9years... probably a little bit more I was a loyal customer when I wanted Indian food. And I always got good service. I used to order through them but now that Ubear Eats is killing the whole delivery system I started using them because they provide discounts. It's as simple as that. Still love the food but I love free money. After ordering for so many years I now understand why they have 2.9 stars. Side note I will never order from a place that's below a 4 star..... but I know decent food..... so I have no problem with this place. Yeah they might mess up an order every now and then. I could forgive that. But today warrant a review after so many years of ordering...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. This place DESERVES a missile from Putin, to go through that broken ass door they have kept up for the past few years. Let it fry everybody in it. Sorry not sorry. My deliveey incident of a missing order was so mishandled by a rude man on the phone I felt I was being punked. He had no tact or compassion for a customer who has probably spent 100's if not a 1000.00 dollars I spent. To say this isn't my problem shows me that you have no desire to be of service to others and you want to be a A-hole. The amount of rudness and disrespect over 2 missing items was disgusting. And I really hope your business eventually fails and they replace your restaurant with a coffee shop
Increased vegetarian curries from $15-$20, won’t return
The food is good. The delivery people are horrible. I ordered and forgot to change the address. So, I call the restaurant to update the address. The driver calls me in seconds of me hanging up to demand extra money in order to deliver to the correct address. Im furious the way the restaurant and driver handled the situation. I been a loyal customer for many years and enjoyed their food but customer services is a big part of running a business!
LAST SUPPER! I have been a loyal customer of Bombay Kitchen for many years. My girlfriend and I would typically order twice and sometimes even three times a week. However, in recent years the quality of the food has just gone down dramatically, and the interior is disgusting. It is literally filled with scooters and bicycles. What makes matters worse, is the management or owners seem to care little about quality or even customer complaints and reviews. This evening we order the chicken tiki masala, and garlic naan. It comes with basmati rice. The chicken taste like rubber; it was incredibly overcooked, but most disappointing was the masala sauce. it tastes like watered down tomato sauce. The entire dish was tasteless. We threw it away. when I called to complain, they said “just ask for the tiki sauce, thicker next time.” This will definitely be our last time patronizing Bombay kitchen!
Ordered via grubhub and although an item was missing from my order, the food wasn’t the issue. Service at this place is disgusting. They use their own people to deliver food. He arrived and refused to abide by the contact-free delivery I selected and gave instructions for. Stood at my door and refused to leave. I opened my door to take the food from him and thank him but he then refused to hand me the food that I paid for because he did not see a tip on the receipt. We stood there for at least 45 seconds as I tried to reach for my food and he relentlessly held it away from me and stared at me angrily — assuming my waiting for a cash tip. Very unprofessional.
The chicken tasted like sweet tomato soup. The mint chutney looked like it has color added to it. Our lamb chop kabobs were so hard...we couldn’t even eat it. The chicken wasn’t even cooked properly. I don’t know how this place gave a high ratings.
Always order $20 + food every week. Twice a week. Good delivery time, good food. But horrible customer service. A worker argued with me 10 mins about a extra sauce. Refused to put the owner on the phone. Last time I ever order from there. Ps looking at my Grubhub I have ordered over $1000 worth of food from there. They just lost a great customer.
The last few times I have ordered from them on Seamless they have cancelled my order. Today, the owner called and said his drivers did not want to go over where I lived. That I should use ubereats or some other service to get my order delivered. I don't understand why they would say on seamless they deliver to my address if they do not actually do it. I am very dissapointed at their poor service. I will never order from them again
Very poor customer service. Went there one evening to dine in. Wasn't told anything so we sat down ourselves. We wanted to order but they seemed uninterested in taking our order. That was when we learned that it was only take out and that we could not eat in. Even while taking our order, cashier was looking at the TV, it all seemed very rude. Expensive and below average food. Food was below average, nothing special. But the bill came up to $44 for a Bryani, a meat and a prata. Which does not really seem like a good deal at all, especially with that kind of service. Take your business somewhere else.
I was refused service on the basis of being a non-Hindi speaker. The manager I spoke with was rude, cynical, and intolerant. Bordering on blatantly racist. Tonight I called the restaurant to ask about the ingredients in their two appetizer salads before ordering for a guest of mine. I decided to order one of each salad because I was bot offered a clear description of either. The manager then. said “we do not deliver just salads.” I gave him the rest of our large order. For some reason, the manager at Bombay Kitchen refused to take out order — and refused us service stating “I’m sorry you do not speak Hindi.” I’m a Chef by trade and have never been refused service at a restaurant. The manager spoke and acted in a totally inappropriate manner. I love this restaurant. It is near my home I sometimes order takeout inline from here twice a week. ecently, when.
delivered the wrong order. refused to send the right order. the driver & the restaurant keeps passing the blame to eachother and I'm stuck without my order that I paid for. both parties got paid & tipped. the restaurant said they have no time to deal with this. they have 500 customers to deal with one wrong order. I'm allergic to shrimp and already started having reactions when i opened the bag.
I had a pick up an order from this store. I came her and the store guy was so rude with me. Because of nothing. I asked, if my order ready or Not!! On the packet, Is there everything, He was rude. Such a worst store this is.
Seriously? How is this place allowed to run in New York? This was my hand after eating their chicken tikka masala
I used to go there and eat all of the time. I ordered tonight after work and I received this as the Bombay wing appetizer! So disappointed they are not what they were in the past. Definitely will not order in a haste. Super disappointed!!!!
This is an example of what ‘Indian food’ does not taste like. The service at this upscale place was hostile. The dishes were just fine and did not give any justice to the flavor.
Ordered tonight..and 1 item was missing on the bill not sure if they forgot to out it in or the uber eats driver stole my food.im disappointed seeing we ordered last night too!
the quality of Little Ceasars... but Indian food. the food was so nasty and fake it ruined my evening.... judging by the other reviews I have no idea how this place is still in business

Extremely rude delivery guy, can never figure out how to buzz up despite specific instructions of what number to press on the keypad (which is also clearly written next to the keypad). Insists on calling your phone and then proceeds to yell at you for not picking up the phone (which I did pick up!!!). Not worth the unnecessary attitude when there are plenty of good Indian options in this neighborhood. I regret leaving a generous tip for this horrible delivery experience. Never ordering again.
