The best jamaican food in the heights big up Rohan
The oxtail was my favorite! I fell into a food coma shortly after.
Love this spot, a hidden gem in Brooklyn. I drive from New Jersey just for some.
Food and service were great. Stewed chicken fell right off the bone. Goat roti was was tastey. They have Sea Moss and many other of my favorites. Will check them out again next time we are in the area.
Cas catered my Dad's repast. The food was delivered right on time and was delicious. I gave out business cards all night. My dad's favorite food was curry goat. People raved about Cas' goat curry and escovich fish. I've already recommended Cas to a friend for a baby shower and will recommend his restaurant to anyone looking for this service. We also enjoyed Cas' chicken roti. It is really good.
I cant get enough of this food i had Ackee and saltfish with dumplins today soooo good. What I love about their food weather its breakfast lunch or dinner the food is Immaculate tasty with no Spice you can enjoy your meal here. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 15yrs the owner cooks to please everyone its the best restaurant througout the neighborhood even fulton st. I recommend anyone going to support his food its worth it BIG TIME 😋.
I got the roti w/ goat - fantastic food, will be going back again. It's savory, a lil sweet, and a kick of warm spice. Plus it was ready in 5 mins. I love this spot!
Always has the food hot and ready. great place to sit and eat or take home. the T.v. always on something good may it be sports or my favorite Law and Order Svu. Cas the owner has great enthusiasm always has a time for a joke and laugh... I've Been going here for about 13 years and my son who is 6 loves the plantains and the little cakes. I love EVERYTHING lol from the soups to the codfish, the oxtails are always on point, jerk chicken never dry and oh its sooo flavorful, corn meal porridge is the best on cold days.. and the cow foot soup is Yesssssssssssss I can eat that in 90 degrees that's how good it is. If you want that family /island vibe where you can chill and even grab a beer watch t.v and talk some good good conversation with anyone who walks in.. this and will always be the place to go.. Its safe and the people in the neighborhood are friendly and watch over this family restaurant.
Cas is Cas. He is Jamaican. If you can't handle a West Indain gruffness which is normal to us or if you thin skinned then get some toughness about you before you go to eat in or take out. Food is GREAT!!!! I prefer take out. There is a sit down area but its a fast food environment.
Just got the oxtail, rice and peas and fried plantain. It’s delicious! The owner was really nice. Service was fast. Definitely going back!!
The food was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and tasty. Cas provided wonderful service to me and my family. Everyone asked for business cards and will be ordering from him soon.
Me and my lady drop in to get oxtails, rice & peas and cabbage. It was so on point. Golden crust is not touching this place. Highly recommend yal drop in.
Just going to say wow. Food is amazing with an authentic west indian flavor. Roti portions are great. The ox tail has to be my favorite.
This is the best Jamaican food I’ve had in Brooklyn, just my opinion but WOW. Always so flavorful and spicy, very affordable and quick service. Bring cash.
Love it! We got food cater! Really fresh and delicious. Thanks Cas
🗣️The food is always cooked fresh every morning 😍 their chicken soup is delicious😊 it's served every Monday... the service is outstanding I love this restaurant... Yummy
We had the most delicious breakfast and we'll certainly go back to try their lunch/dinner menu.
So nice affordable Caribbean food. In the center of Brooklyn. Walk up to crown heights Friendly service Cas watched me grow up.
Will be visiting more often. The best Jamaican food I've ever eaten. It was really really good!
Best oxtail. Jerk chicken straight from the grill. The food is hitting.
One the best place to get oxtails and fresh goat i love the owner of the place he always make sure you leave a full belly and happy face
Great food! And good rice too it's not dry like other spots in the area
The food was awesome. My mom is hooked on their brown stew fish
Incredible experience. I was several times there. Jerk chicken is insanely juicy and tasty. Huge portions and good price. Looks pretty simple but the food is just wonderful!
We were visiting from Dayton Ohio. They greeted us with a smile. The food was fantastic and the service was great too. It felt wonderful to have such services.
I love spicy food and Cas's jerk chicken completely satisfied my craving. I strongly suggest coming to enjoy this authentic Jamaican restaurant. Photos are Jerk Chicken and Chicken patty.
CAS! Five stars. I ordered pick up catering from CAS this weekend. Oxtail, Jerk Chicken, Escovitch Fish, Max and Cheese, Vegetables etc and everything was amazing. Food was piping hot, and ready for the time we agreed. His crew also helped me load my truck!
Wow. Delicious overall. Plantain is actually sweet and soft. Everything is crazy well seasoned and the jerk chicken was perfectly tender and spicy.
I got the "small" jerk chicken and I was worried it wasn't gonna be enough food, but boy was I wrong. Chicken was tender and fell off the bone. Could not recommend this place enough.
Medium jerk chicken. Fast service, delicious taste.

I walked in here for a quick bite because I was starving and met THE Cas. He was lovely and did not disappoint. The jerk chicken fell off the bone, the rice and peas were cooked to perfection (and with some of that oxtail gravy, ooo girl!) and the plantains were perfectly sweet and soft. He told me not to be a stranger and I don't plan to. If I'm in the area, I'm sure I'll stop by and see him again :)
We got oxtail and jerk chicken to go and ate it while our kids played in the children's museum. Generous portion sizes - enough for 1.5 meals. The oxtail was so tender that if you look at it kind of hard it will fall off the bone. The jerk chicken is well-sauced, not too spicy, pretty sweet. Will definitely eat here again when next in the area.
Absolutely outstanding. Massive portions, I haven't had Jamaican food this good since Quality Taste when I lived in West Philly. The curry goat and chicken are out of this world. AND sorrel ginger?! Cannot wait to come back.
Stopped in here from michigan for a good meal and to kill time. I felt very welcomed, felt like home. Jerk chicken was delicious and was falling off the bone! Rice and beans and veggies was decent too. I dont like plantains so i cant comment on those. If i ever get back to this corner of the world i will visit again!
Omg delicious. The owner is an amazing person, so friendly and happy to serve. The food is everything I expected. I am not Jamaican but I know good Jamaican food. I ordered the Jerk chicken with oxtail sauce with sweet plantains and cabbage. I was so full just eating half my plate but continued to eat because it was just so tasty and I didn't want it to end. Ohhh and the nap I took after was what I needed. I also got some cake, patties and spice bun. It made my Sunday. Thank you. I'll be back soon.
To start, I've eaten a lot of jamaican food all over Brooklyn. Cas makes the best oxtail I've ever had. The jerk chicken is also bomb, especially when they grill it outside sometimes. Cowfoot soup is dope. The food is always consistently good. Never had a bad meal here.
This is a hidden 💎 in Crown Heights. The hospitalality matches the flavor as well.. Nice and small, but very clean little spot, with a big menu. The portions are beautiful, along with the prices. I drive from New Jersey to Cas's restaurant numerous times a week. The Oxtails falls off of the bone. The spice in the rice and in the Jerk chicken is just right, and not overkill. Huge respect to this establishment from me and my family. The taste is also consistent, I've eaten there several times since recently learning of it from a friend in the neighborhood.
I’m just a white dude born and raised in Bensonhurst who recently started eating oxtails. By far the best oxtail I’ve had and worth the drive. Will definitely come back.

Cool nice good food
Good food and music
Great Jerk Chicken and Oxtail. A neighborhood staple for years.
A great spot for Jamaican food,
Love the curry chicken roti
Love my jamaican food experience. It has been an amazing experience. Will definitely comeback
A little hole in the wall, mom and pop little Jamaican spot. Food is good, nothing fancy.
Like the curry goat a lot. Definitely worth getting if you live on Kingston Ave
The food is good and of good quality i had Breakfast with a friend, he invited me and the food was very very good, i recommend this to anyone, the owner is a very friendly person. I will be going here more often.
Had jerk chicken, chicken curry, oxtail, and beef roti. Very good, authentic Jamaican food full of flavor and very hearty from a small hole in the wall in Crown Heights. Only complaint is the amount of salt, especially in the beef roti - those with hypertension should be weary of eating here.

The owner is very friendly and likable person. We had chicken jerky plate, that comes with bean rice, cabbage and plantains. My husband loved loved the jerky and cabbage. I was not too fan of the greasiness though.but all in all the food tasted good.

Great Jamaican food. I mostly like their chicken soup. Friendly people
Good food until one day saw B rating… never returned. (I work in food industry so it takes a lot to get a B rating so I rather not)
Owner of the restaurant is a nice guy. We had curry chicken and brown stewed chicken. Overall we would give it a three star. The taste wasn't as seasoned to what we have had in the past from other places but they give you more then enough.
I stopped here on my way back home to Philly. I ordered a large oxtail platter. What a ripoff and I’m so disappointed because I would have never expected this when spending my money. There were plaintains covered in oxtail gravy mixed in with the oxtails to portray as oxtails. I ordered oxtails, rice & beans & cabbage not plaintains. The oxtails were flavorful but I was ripped off on the large order. I also asked for two beef patties. I will never come back here again.

I felt it was too greasy.
Not that great. The jerk chicken tasted old. They gave me a heaping serving...of which I was grateful...until I tasted it. Chicken tasted like it had been in and out of the fridge a few times...plantains good...rice tasted old
the food was good but when i was ordering take out , they handed me two bags (i assume one was meat the other was vegetables). 2 mins after i left someone chased me down saying i took someone else’s order. I walked back and the guy that handed me the second bag started yelling at me about why would i take someone else’s food if i only paid for one as if he didn’t hand me both bags LOL. I’ve never been there before so I assumed they were only handing me my order split in two bags!

The workers have really nasty attitude
Food and service was horrible. Soup was salty and burned.
Bought jerk chicken rice and peas and the food was horrible
Plantain had a weird smell, oxtails and rice was okay but the food was really average.
RECENTLY SHUT DOWN BY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT. GRADE PENDING. There are better choices on Nostrand Ave, a short walk from this location. I'm Jamaican and trust me, this food is underwhelming at best. Not fresh either. The jerk chicken was baked chicken swimming in jerk BBQ sauce. Rice and peas were dry without any real seasoning. It's a hangout for islets.
Decent food. Disrespectful Owner. Pricing on the menu is not transparent to owners pricing. $1 charge (no sign displayed) to use Credit/Debit Card. Business seems a little shady.🤥
Food is terrible and overpriced. Poor customer service. Place is constantly dirty. Always serves food from the previous day.
